They Made It!

I'm so happy to say that this morning I got a phone call from my mom and they were already at their hotel in Johannesburg. Praise the Lord! She sounded good and other than a little delay in D.C., everything had gone well. It was evening there and I'm sure they were looking forward to going to bed soon.

It's been a while since I posted a picture of Jackson. Here's my little Skater Boy at 17 months.

Don't worry, Dad. I'm taking good care of your guitar and cell phone.

Little man's best friend.

Amanda - Thanks for passing on that they made it safely. Praise the Lord! Please let us know also how your grandfather is doing. The pictures of Jackson are adorable! Feel free to share them anytime. We could pre-arrange a wedding if you would like. I have a cutie that is 15 months old. :) I think Granny Beth would approve. She loves to sing and dance to praise music too! I pray the days for you all to be apart will be quick and for them I pray they will be safe there and fulfill all God has in store for them. Can't wait to hear all the stories!

I'm so glad that your mom and dad made it! Jackson is SO cute! He has really grown up and is starting to look like a little boy now instead of a baby. So fast. My little boy will in 2 in a few months. My little girl just turned 4, going on 14, though! AAAHHHH!

Thanks for sharing your Mom's call with us, we'll continue praying for a safe and faithfilled journey for all of them.

Jackson is adorable! He's really growing and becoming a little man before our very screens!! I love the one of him with his best friend! They'll be companions for years to come! Maybe the puppy will learn to praise dance with him and his fun Granny!

Life through my lens...you must have boys! I think the "boy toys" get bigger every year--which make the memories priceless. I sure miss those "little man" days, ours is 30!

Oh Amanda Jackson is growing like a weed. What a little man you and Curtis have! Thank you for sharing the photos today. I loved the story of the two banners on your parent's front steps when you all told them your baby was on the way.

It was so good to hear that your mom and dad made it safely to Johannesburg. I will continue to pray for you all each day.

Hi Amanda,
I remember seeing you and your man Curt when you were at First Baptist, Houston. When I see your little man Jackson, I certainly see Curt but when I look at Jakson's eyes, it's your eyes, your mom's eyes in his eyes. He has such a contagious, joyful smile!

So happy to know your mom and dad made it safely and feeling well. Allison

Great hearing the update. I watch your mom on Life Today and my mama's heart breaks seeing the living conditions there. Praying that God will move in miraculous ways!

Three of my five blessings are boys and I LOVE how there is only about 3 inches between the bottom of shorts and their soft ankles! It is big boys made compact so they are slow enough to catch and love on them. :)

What an adorable little "skater dude" Amanda, too, too cute!! I'm crazy about little boys!! I have three of them, although the youngest is now almost ten. The days fly by, one faster than the next......so make a million memories!! I was tuckin' mine in bed the other night and randomly started singing a song I sang to them when they were just Jackson's age, it goes like this:

"I count it as a privilege
I count it cause for praise
To kiss my little (Travis,
Trevor, or Tyler) goodnight
at the close of everyday. For
it's all too soon their off
and grown and walkin' out the
door and I'll never have my
little boy to kiss goodnight
anymore"

All that to say, TREASURE IT!!!

So glad to hear the update on your mom and dad. Will continue to pray
for them and you all as well!!

Thanks for sharing the pic's, brought back alot of memories. XO

Wow! Amanda it has been a while since we've seen Jackson. I can't believe how much he looks like a BIG BOY - especially with that darling shirt and haircut. He is a doll!

Thanks for keeping us posted about your mom - she is in our prayers.

I was listening to a new CD and the song came on titled "We fall down" by Chris Tomlin and they sing part of it in an Africian lang.

I felt like it was a special connection of what to pray for, 'at the feet of Jesus we cry Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lamb'. At the feet of Jesus we all cry the exact same thing.

Thank you for the update and the pictures of your cutie pie!
Love, Jenny

I would love to hear what their " Conversations with God" were as they just serve and help heal a starving nation; one in need of food, water, but also God.

Jackson is so adorable, is he for sale? LOL So joking:)

Have a great day siestas:)
