Washington, D.C. Commissioning
My Dear Sister,
The God of Glory
Has called you.
You have a ministry.
In Christ, you are enough for that ministry.
Never forget that showing God off is your ministry.
No matter what,
Keep your heart in your ministry.
Unveil your face
And serve others with authenticity.
Always remember
That the power is in God's Presence.
Let nothing
Come between you
And intimacy with God.
Keep moving forward
From glory to glory.
Let God thin that veil.
Remember, ministry is not about position.
It's about people.
Let name after name
Be written on your heart.
Do not seek great things for yourself,
Seek a great God.
As you leave this place,
Go in a fresh anointing.
He who turns water into wine
Turns wimps into warriors.
You have a ministry.
Go fulfill it.

Yes Lord!!I wasn't there but my heart bears witness with the commission. Love you guys at LPM and I pray that the Lord continue to pour grace into your hearts to do the work of the ministry.
Awesome! I'm sure we all need to hear this from time to time. I am so glad you post the commissionings from your events because they seem to speak to you even if you weren't there. Thanks Beth and Amanda!
Boy did I need that today!! Thank you so much.

Thank you for posting this today. It was just what I needed to hear. I've read it twice and it's sinking in deep.
Each one of you at LPM are so precious to us out here in blogland. Thank you!!
Whew....I got a rhema from that one and I wasn't even there!
May our lives be a stage for which Him to shine...and maybe do some dancing too :)
WOW, that commission is totally awesome, and speaks volumes to my heart! God is so incredible, wonder why we get so lazy sometimes, and don't seek HIM as diligently as other times? I know that as I grow in the Lord, an "off day" means not enough quiet time, and make a spiritual check..Fast! Thanks for posting!
God's perfect timing never ceases to amaze me. Your words spoke to my heart and "met me right where I'm at today!"
Thank you for sharing and for letting God speak through you.
God's perfect timing never ceases to amaze me. Your words spoke to my heart and "met me right where I'm at today!"
Thank you for letting God speak through you!
Amen! Truth Truth!
Thank you Jesus for these Words you speak over us and through your servant, Beth.
Amen!
Forget D.C. Commissioning, that's for me here in H-town! Thank you.
Beth, I had your Get Out of That Pit book at the pool today. I got some sunscreen on you....sorry!
I was glad to be reminded of God's deliverance. I've been a little disconnected the last couple of weeks. It was good to see what's going on is something scripture soothes for me.
Love the Commissioning.
Love YOU!
Wow! Great word! I really love the wimps turned into warriors part!! We all can qualify for that.. if we will obey the call. :)
Today I was looking at my blog and wondering why my friends were not commenting. I knew they were online and couldn't figure out what was going on. About one hour later I was becoming desperate for human contact and called a friend I hadn't talked to in a while. Boy was I glad I did! God used me in such an ordinary conversation to encourage her!! After we were talking for a few minutes I caught a glimpse of my computer - I had comments. I think I was supposed to call her and encourage her. We are all vessels when we listen to God's nudges. Boy am I glad I did. I hung up the phone encouraged too! Nothing better than having God use you to minister to another!! I wouldn't trade it for the world!! Praise God He can use us all!! 'I HAVE a ministry. In Christ, I am enough for that ministry!' This was a great word of encouragement to me today!!
Many blessings to you Beth, Amanda and LPM staff!
Oh how I needed this!! Keeping my focus on my Great God!!
Boy, if that doesn't make me wish I had been in Washington D.C., I don't know what could! What a powerful reminder to each of us to minister wherever we are called--not necessarily in an official position, but always to people! Thanks, dear Beth!
Thank you for posting this and serving the Lord the way you do. Love in Jesus, Kim in PA
AWESOME!!! I'll be praying that one over and over......
Oh, how I needed that in this moment! I just spent the afternoon sharing Jesus with a precious friend who is seeking...what an honor to be used by God, and what a blessing to know God uses me despite myself. Please pray for her to take that final leap of faith. She is SO CLOSE.
Hi -I was in DC and this so spoke to me. I have really been struggling because I desperately want to be in women's ministy. I lead a Bible Study at our church for women that work outside the home - "the frazzled females" nd it always leaves me wanting to minister more, but never enough time! Beth's words in DC made me realize that my ministy is enough right now b/c it's exactly what God wants. Thanks so much!
What truth!!! I soooo needed to hear that today - I have a ministry right where I am and as just who I am. It's so easy to beat myself up because I don't always feel like I'm "getting there." I get too anxious and impatient about wanting all that God has for me now. But praise God, this is a journey to an awesome destination, and what would we ever learn or how would we have any fun without the roadtrip. Thank you all for being apart of my roadtrip.
God's Blessings Sisters!
Melissa in St. Louis
I wasn't anywhere near D.C., but I can tell you that this commissioning spoke directly to me here in Sweet Home Alabama. Thank you :)
Thank you so much for posting th D.C. Commissioning. I was there at the pre-confernce and took good notes but this will be great to keep handy in my prayer journal. Beth, the Lord used you to reach so many that afternoon. Every woman in my group felt as if the message was for her alone. I appreciate your service unto the Lord!
I was so moved by my time in D.C. I am still on a high from my time sitting at Beth's feet and learning of HIM. Thanks for posting the commissioning. I keep reading it over and over.
That's so encouraging, thanks for sharing it.
Kara
Dear Beth,
God is so good to us and for us! He sends us just what we need at just the right time. Thursday nights are intercessory prayer for a 20-year old guy in our church who was injured in a 4-wheeler accident Aug. 05. Started out with over 15 and is now at 5. GOD HAS DONE SOME AWESOME MIRACLES IN THIS YOUNG MAN'S LIFE. As we fervently pray and wait on the Lord...we need encouragement and your post was perfect for the prayer group tonight!!!!! God Bless You and continue to use you!
I was in DC for the Women of Faith conference, and was completely humbled by the speaking of Beth Moore!! Thank you for posting the commissioning - I am making copies for every one of the ladies that I went with! We laughed our heads off about the story of Beth's dog and her paw all the way home to PA! We giggled, cried, prayed, and shared life together last weekend - so blessed to have been able to go!
"Always remember that the power is in God's Presence. Let nothing come between you and intimacy with God."
Thanks for the reminder.....for
therein lies the power and the strength to go from "wimps to warriors"!!!!
XO
Thank you, Beth for the Commissioning and Amanda for printing it. I have tried to print out all the commissions...how about a little booklet of them all? They are such a blessing, even if we were not in those cities!
God bless you all!
Wow 2 buses came early last Friday to hear God through Beth. Many have done her Bible studies and some not. Everyone was touched personally from our limitless God. I had my best friend of 41 years with me and we commissioned each other...something that will be treasured in our hearts as well as all we learned. Thanks to everyone who made this pre-ocnference a reality! See you in Rhode Island! BELIEVING HIM and Growing in Christ with you, Kim from PA
Thank you for posting these commissionings. Like others have said, it resonates with all of us. I like it when you add the text for the sessions along with the commissionings. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this blog. It is much appreciated by all.
I think God smacked me across the face with that one ( I can be a bit hard headed)!!
That commissioning truly touched my heart. I am at a place right now where God is trying to use me in Women's Ministry. It was not part of MY plan.
To say that I do not like to speak in public is a HUGE understatement - I use to get panic attacks talking to a big group of friends at dinner. However, I have seen God's faithfulness and His wonder through all of it but my flesh continues to fight what He wants me to do.
Thank you for this - I will print it out as a reminder that it is not about me it is all for HIS GLORY!!
Love,
Kim
These commissions just get better and better for me. I was just thinking earlier how I really needed one today and here it is! Thank you so much! My favorite is the wimps into warriors because I WANT THAT!!
AS most have posted, I too needed to hear this today . I will be praying for your upcoming trip to Angola and for Keiths Dad. Would everyone here also pray for my son, he is going thru a tough time with an addiction right now and needs to be lifted up for healing. And also for his dad and I to do the right things for him.
I Praise God for perfect timing and His ways of encouraging. Yesterday, the battle raged from old wounds, thank God for this new day, and for using all of you to encourage me. The commission statement is just what I needed to read. He is Awesome!
Keeping you lifted in prayer for your missions trip, and healing for Pawpaw.
In His Love
Julie
I was not in Washington D.C. but I absolutely needed to read this today. Thank you.
Thank you so much, Amanda & Beth! It's going on the fridge and in my heart as I go out into the world today! (Stomp, stomp!!) This was a spiritual marker for me. Loved seeing your chocolate patent leather shoes in person, Beth!
I was blessed to have been in D.C. and as my friend and I turned to one another and looked each other straight in the eye and said these words - we began to sob.
Needless to say, the words spoken over us by the inspiration of GOD'S Spirit were exactly what we both had been praying about before we ever got there!
But, when you are crying and so "high on the most HIGH" you can't sit down and write the words out.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you AJ for having them here for us!
I am lifting up the Moore's and the trip to Our ABBA!
Your Siesta and HIS daughter,
Teri (Teresa) Shrader
Thanks, Beth!
I have translated this into Spanish to share with my Hermanas. As we leave for fulough, I must leave my ministries with ladies here. I know that they do not feel up to the challenge, but it is not for me, but for Him. I know that these words will bless and challenge them in the work God needs for them to do.
Blessings!
Beautiful.
Your request are on my prayer list. God's grace & peace be with you as you travel and give those little children an extra long hug from all your siestas!
After reading this commisssiong yesterday, I was filled with an overwhelming thirst for His word. I went to the book of Esther to read ahead for the upcoming Htown Bible Study. Whew...this really spoke to me. I had no longer closed my Bible that I received a call from a friend in need. I listened as she shared her dilema. What I spoke to her came from within...words I had never spoken before. After I hung up, I thanked God for His presence in my life and what joy He speaks to me and allows me to share with others. I know it was Him speaking through me...utilizing me as a vessel of His love because I heard the whisper...Esther, Esther, Esther. Oh how her story fit so perfectly for my friend. In Jesus name I thank you for sharing the D.C. Commissioning with us and thank you for the upcoming Esther Bible Study. You Moore Women are so filled with His spirit...thank you for sharing.
Amanda,
Thank you so very much for posting this....like cool water to thirsty souls. How appropriate that it came forth in D.C.. We can never be reminded enough that it is indeed about Him and His glory our sole purpose for ministry. Our prayers are with your precious family as they go to the front lines of battle for the Lord. May the presence of the Holy Spritit rest heavy on you all. Shalom
Wow, this goes along with her post a few days ago. I think God is placing a word on my heart.
Thanks for these words!
I don't know enough words to tell you how much I needed this at this exact time. Thank you God! Thank you Beth!
(I would love to know the scripture you used during this event.)
Oh I love the first four lines of that commissioning...very much the same message God has had on my heart for many months now...
Thanks for sharing this! :)
D.C. DID COME! Me and my four best girlfriends from college were "glory wrapped in capri pants". I was also blessed to see Beth's espresso patent leather pumps in person. Hilarious. On the way homewe pulled into a B.P. gas station and OF COURSE they were playing Chris Tomlin "How Great is our God". I have never heard worship music at a B.P before. My friend Annie yelled "Take me now Lord". The whole experience was far too much for us to stand. In fact, when we got home we were sure to hold oneanother accountable for some daily carpet fibers in the nasal passages kind of intimacy. The power is in the Presence and the siestas are in the ScotchGuard. Isn't He good?!!
Thank you for this. I am a missionary in Japan and I hope you don't mind, but I am going to print this out for all of my fellow sister missionaries here. And for my mom who lives this every day and is my hero.
This blog has become a wonderful place for me to get refreshed. I listen to Living Proof over the internet every week. Thank you for sharing this important ministry. Not only does it fulfill my need to hear English but it also fulfills my need to learn from God's Word. May God bless you as you go to Africa.
AMEN and AMEN!! I LOVE the "wimps turned into warriors" part!! God Bless Y'all!
In Him~
Karen
I am soooo grateful for God turning whimps into WARRIORS.
I am also thankful for YOU.
(lst time I've ever been on a blog!)

I love this. I may not have been in D.C., but this is for me. I mentioned it in another comment, but my precious, amazing baby girl passed away after spending just five short days and eight hours and forty eight minutes with us on this earth. Already, the Lord is showing such great purpose in her life as He is finding a way to use MY words of all things to draw others to Him. To think He could use such a tiny perfect little girl that came from such people as us to mark this world forever, by just letting us borrow Miller Grace for a little while... wow. Still, I'm heartbroken, so very, very heartbroken at her absence from my life. I need every bit of encouragement I can get to remember that this is MY ministry and that I have everything I need to keep on keeping on, bring God the glory through sunshine and torrential rains such as these. I love you, Beth! :)
PLEASE come take a peek at the perfect baby girl that was God's sweetest little instrument...

My goodness, I needed this today. I'm reading it late but I believe that was God's design. Thank you so much!!!!!
I was so touched by this commissioning...it was truly speaking directly to me. And I needed to "hear" it!!
Thank you!
It's been glory to glory since D.C. Beth and my ministry is all about some showing God off let me tell you! Of course he does that all too well on his own and I know you know what I mean. No more self protecting. Forever changed by his grace and the woman who brought his word to me. Thank you Bethand Amanda Love in Christ, Melinda

I was in DC. I was one of many whose lives and hearts you changed with these words. How my heart feels so much better hearing these words uttered aloud. I had felt it for so long, but you gave it legs! I am doing what God has called me to do (my photography) and man, do I feel PUMPED! I came home changed, and I am ever so grateful to God that He put me there. Thank you, Mrs. Moore. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

I've said it before, but I have to tell you again that these commissionings are priceless to me! I print them all out and use them as part of my quiet times. Thank you for being faithful to write them and post them!
I can't wait until Deeper Still -- praying hard and fast for precious Kay!
Blessings,
Dori
I was actually there in D.C.and it was a powerful moment, one I remember daily. Thank you Beth for a wonderful message that God wanted me to hear.
On another note, whenever one of us makes an excuse for why we can't do something, we just hold up our 'paw'...enough said!
I loved this. I shared it with all my girlfriends! I also posted it on my wall in my office. I read it almost everyday and what a great reminder it is! God has called us, girls, to serve him. Let's get out there and do it!!

I know this is months late, but I just stumbled across the blog the other day and thought, hey, maybe that prayer from Women of Faith this summer is on there... so, after getting stuck reading about Praise dancing with Granny, 25 reasons why Melissa is a Rock Star and a few others, I about jumped out of my seat when i saw this on my screen.
I have been in love with Beth's style of teaching, but more importantly with her amazing God (and mine)for about 5 years... I have had the awesome privilege of leading women in studies, attending a few conferences. When I saw who was going to be leading the Pre-Conference at Women of Faith in my backyeard this summer, I knew I had to attend, I had an appointment with God! I cannot even begin to put this into words, it is 5 months later and it still blows my mind. 10,000 women were in that arena that day, but Beth's message was so unbelievably God-size-dly for me. From the songs Travis led us in worship to the exact passage Beth spoke from... I had chills. God used Beth (praise Him, yet again) to change me. I had been wrestling for months about obeying GOd's leading and stepping out of a ministry role at the church where I work, yet fearing the unknown, what that meant... basically if I get honest, my problem was whether or not I could trust God...yes, the same God who brought me out of the pit and set my feet on a rock, could I trust Him with the blank canvas of my future. And then in walks Beth and tells us to open to the very passage I had been parked in for over a week in my quiet time...
This commission solidified everything we'd learned, I don't have to DO a ministry, I am a ministry. I have a ministry... to proclaim the Name and the Power of the One who Rescued me.
Thank you, Beth for loving Jesus, for Proclaiming Him boldly, and for all you teach and impart to us who so hunger and thirst for Him as well.
