Camp - Part 2

My little family is heading out for our last summer camp. We have the privilege of serving at the youth camp for Curt's home church. We're so excited! On our way, we will drive through Arkansas and stay in my mom's hometown. I have a list of family landmarks to drive by. I haven't been there since I was nine years old, so it will be fun.

I am taking some work with me, but I will be shocked if I have even five minutes online in the next week. So for the next week you won't see your comments posted or even your bulletin board entries. I am so sad to say that I won't be able to update you on my parents' trip. I'm not exactly sure if we will even have a cell phone connection at the camp we're going to.

My mom and I will look forward to catching up with you ladies in a week or so! Thanks for keeping my parents in your prayers. It is VERY comforting to know they are being lifted up. I did have a message from my mom after church saying that they made it to Angola safely. Praise God!

Enjoy your week!
Love,
Amanda

Darlin', I don't live far from your mom's hometown. You are welcome to drop in for a visit. I'm sure there's something I can throw in the microwave (HA HA). This is the first time I've commented on here. Just wanted to let you guys know you inspire me! Have a safe trip!

Hi Amanda,
It really struck my heart when I saw that you signed this post, "Love, Amanda", just exactly how I sign for my family and friends that are so dear to me. That you did that for us is more than endearing--it just seems to tie us together as we will be in Heaven, in love! Maybe it is true that we ARE sisters in Christ. And maybe these are the most special ties that God can give to us. Thank you so much for loving us! It was such an encouragement to my lonely heart today.

How exciting, I live between Arkadelphia and Springfield, in norhtern Arkansas, right on tbe border of Missouri. Sounds like you may be a hop skip and a jump and may even pass through.

Have great fun and be sure and get Jackson a shirt on your way back through Arkansas.

Praying for Beth and Keith.

Have a great time at camp. I'll be lifting you and your mom up- not that you need it. I'm sure all of heaven knows all about your family and that God has you each near the top of the list. Blessings as you each serve Him!

Hey Amanda,

I just finished my own trip. . just got back. Although I thought I'd really miss my internet connection, it was a bit freeing and certainly gave me more times for other things. So, enjoy your time away from the computer.
