Jackson Hole - Part 2
Curtis and I marveled at how much Annabeth changed during our two weeks in Wyoming. This picture was taken on the day she started sitting up. She was using her hands but could sit for a long time.

Exactly one week later, when she happened to be wearing the same outfit, she was sitting with no hands. This is such a fun stage! I'm enjoying our last bit of time before she becomes mobile.

This was Annabeth's first time in a restaurant high chair.
One night after my parents arrived, we had dinner on the deck at Signal Mountain Lodge. After that we walked down to Jackson Lake.

Jackson is embracing his big brother role a little more these days.

This is a picture of one of the cookouts we attended by the river.

Curtis and Annabeth challenged Jackson and his friend in a race.

Annabeth did not enjoy being a track star.

Here's Baby Girl's first time in a playground swing. I did not bring her enough cool-weather clothes, so I frequently resorted to pajamas.

One morning our whole family attended a breakfast cookout up on a mountain. Dad and I and joined the trail riders on horseback while Mom and Curtis brought the kids up in a car. We had hot chocolate, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. It was so much fun.

Jackson and his daddy played hide and seek in the town square. Here's Jackson counting.

Here he is hiding.

A view of the Tetons from near our place.

Mt. Moran might be my favorite.

A deer in the river by our cabin.

The Sleeping Indian. Can you see him?

One day we visited Jenny Lake. You do not want to miss it if you ever visit Jackson Hole.

We took a shuttle boat across the lake to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point.

Looking up at the mountain from the boat.

Here's what we hiked to see.

We - mainly Jackson - got soaked on the boat ride back. The water was freezing! Jackson has always loved being splashed with cold water (seriously), so he had a great time. People around us were even trying to take pictures of him because he was so funny.

The pictures you are about to see are from The Greatest Day of Jackson's Life.

We went to Snow King and did the alpine slide.

The slide was really fun, but I only did it once because the ski lift to the top of it scared me to death. Curt says it isn't as freaky when there's snow below you. The Moores aren't skiers, so I wouldn't really know.

Then Curtis and I went temporarily insane and let Jackson do the bungee trampoline. You are seeing the highlight of his three-year-old life.

Everyone within a mile heard him squealing.

After that, we had lunch at the Saddle Rock Family Saloon.

The only beer they served was root beer. Oh my word, it was the best ever!

Jackson capped the day off with a horse ride. This is Blizzard, the most chilled out horse known to man. Jackson looked like a baby on top of that big ole animal.

That concludes the Greatest Day of Jackson's Life.
Here's a bad picture of some elk in the valley.
This is our favorite pizza place. No visit is complete without it.

It's our tradition to take a picture on this huge stump before we leave. Right after this, some very sad Joneses got in the car and drove to the airport. Sad, sad, sad.

Thanks for sharing our pictures!
For everyone going to Deeper Still in Orlando this weekend, have an awesome time with Jesus!

so glad the trampoline was BEFORE the meal.
These photos are making me want to hightail it to our mountain retreat in Boulder. *sigh*
I am one of the most cold-natured women on the planet. No I am not kidding. I have a heater in my office that I run every month during the year.
But, your pictures are so good that I am now tempted to go to Jackson Hole even if I have to wear my Michelin tire coat (a/k/a parka)!
Thanks for sharing!
Amanda,
Thank you so much for sharing with us. I love seeing your family together...oh the memories you are creating!!!
Thanks Again!
Andrea
Those are the greatest pix of what must have been the greatest getaway! Did Jackson's shirt have "champ" on it? The one he was wearing the day he got soaked with cold water? Well, I gotta say the name fits him!
love the picture of Jackson counting!
Those pics are great. I think if I had done all those things Jackson did, it would be my greatest day ever also. I have been to Jackson Hole only once and it was to ski. It is a really neat little town. Alpine slides are a blast. Thanks for sharing. Annabeth is growing so fast!
Jan
Wyoming--my home--glad it can be a second home for your family. So peaceful.
Love your pictures. My husband and I leave on Sunday to drive up to Yellowstone and Tetons for our vacation. We love it. Growing up, I went a lot as a child because I had grandparents in Montana. Now, my husband shares my love of it, but we are not campers:) We might get to see snow!
Amy in Wichita
I love thse pictures!
Loved Jackson's Greatest Day...is there really no better moment as a mom than watching your kids have the time of their life...squealing in delight??!!
The mountains are so majestic!!! Just beautiful.
And I loved the rootbeer served in a boot...:)
Thanks for sharing!
Michelle in VT
Loved the pics! By the way, are those leg warmers I see on Annabeth? Too cute :) Loved the shot of Curtis racing with Annabeth :)
By the way, watch out for those alpine slides. My sled got away from me on one of them and I did a body slam against the concrete shelf. Nearly took off an ear. Good grief :)
Amanda,
These are some truly beautiful pictures. Jackson is a character! Are you sure people could only hear him squealing for a mile? It would seem like they could hear him for 5 at least! My youngest daughter went on the bungi trampoline when she was about Jackson's age and I know she hollered really loud! How totally fun!
Kels
Wyoming looks beautiful!!! We did an Alpine sled thingy in Germany and our girls LOVED it!
What a precious family!
Amanda, it is such a trip looking at your pictures. We took many of the same ones...ours just happen to have our family in them. LOVED Jenny Lake and the hike to the falls. We never made it all the way to Inspiration Point. And Mountain High Pizza was delish. It was the only time we ate out the week we were there. Didn't know about the alpine slide. Now we'll have to go back. Except I think I might have to be drugged in order to get to the top. Not a big fan of chair lifts. Makes my feet feel weird even thinking about it. Anyway, thanks for sharing more pics. The kids are growing way too fast!
Thank you for the beautiful pictures,
Amanda. Your children are so beautiful that I don't know how you stand it. I can imagine how your mom must feel. Glad you guys got to get away and have such a blessed time together.
Loved the pictures. When I was a "singing-dancing" nurse in Up With People our cast stayed in Jackson Hole for Thanksgiving. One of our cast members, LUIS, was from Guadalajara and had never seen snow. That was truly a great experience for me. Thanks for sharing the family with us. Love, Linda
I love Jackson Hole as one of my most favorite places in the universe. I honestly believe it's the slice of heaven God is allowing us to see down here. Do you think pizza is a food in heaven, because I certainly hope so! (Maybe you should ask Curtis and Melissa, get back to me on this, okay?) I am so jealous of the ski run, but I'm with you, the ride up is scary! You did go temporarily insane with the bungee jump, but guess what, he lived! Once more, it looks like he'd do it again in a nano-second! I am so glad you guys let him do that- it grows him as a little man! Love the pictures, although I am suffering at this point from pangs of envy. Love you girls- darling family! Wish we had an audio link on the blog, I'd love to hear your kids!
Love you-
Lisa in Kirkland, WA
Oh this pictures take me back to a family vacation we took in 2006 to Jackson Hole...makes me want to return...what a WONDERFUL place to vacation.
Oh, I love every single picture!
What a beautiful state and I am thankful and blessed for having the chance to visit this beautiful state back in May at the LPL conference.
I enjoyed seeing Jackson's best day ever!
One of my desires is to one day visit Jackson Hole. I would have loved the cool weather and if it happened to snow, bonus!
This state also makes me smile because of my fav Siestas lives there, well 2 of my favs, Roni and Melana!!
Praying for all going to Deeper Still this weekend!
Love,
Patty
So glad your family had a wonderful time exploring God's beauty! The pictures are awesome!
So fun! I love the pictures!! However I couldn't see the sleeping Indian. Ha! What are we looking for?
Love the pictures....Thank you <3
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the beautiful pictures and peek into your vacation, Amanda!
I so want to take my family to Jackson Hole too. I never knew how beautiful it was. Did you stay at the lodge you mentioned?

Thanks for sharing! These are great photos--love the one of Jackson 'hiding'!! What a cutie-the one of him counting is priceless, but the hiding is hilarious. He's such a happy little Mister!
Annabeth will be mobile before you know it! She's a beauty, that's for sure. I love her clothes, even her pj's are adorable.
The Jones family picture is a great one! It looks like you're all saying -- "til next year"!
Beautiful pictures. That place looks like it's very fun for kids.
M
What a wonderful family vacation! Thanks for sharing the pictures of all the memories you were making!
Your children are so adorable and fun. Your parents must be beside themselves with joy, Amanda. God is good!!!
And we thank you for sharing your pictures.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Orlando is in my neck of the woods! So wish I could make it ot Deeper Still :(
Love this post! Reminds me of the BEST vacation we ever took - Tetons and Yellowstone! We did a 5 mi hike out to a rock beach w/ a wonderful view of Mt. Moran...then 5 mi back. Yikes! And, we loved Mt High pizza, too. We ate their on our first night!!! Thanks for sharing. This makes me want to go back :-)
I love Annabeth's Babylegs! My daughter wears them all of the time!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us!
Oh Amanda, your kids are too precious! Looks like a heavenly trip!
So beautiful! You have the sweetest family!
Pics are great...I felt like I got to go on a mini-vacation just looking at them :)
Oh what a FUN bunch of photos!! I love that trampoline one... a little boy's life must include things of that sort!!
And you all look so cute while hiking- I'm so impressed... I would have been a sweaty mess.
Have a wonderful weekend!
My Anna Grace (almost like Annabeth) has those same pink/brown stripe baby legs!
Looks like you had a fantastic time. Great pictures!
Blessings,
Shana in MN
I saw the Sleeping Indian!!!
Truly, I'm speechless. These pix make me want to move out there and live on that gorgeous piece of land known as Jackson Hole! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Praying for the Orlando weekend.
God is up to something...I already can feel it. Praying for the entire team.
Hugs~
Fran
It looks like you guys had such a great time! We just got home from CO and I LOVED IT!! Jackson looked so happy on that jumping thing... what amazing parents he has! And I took Caroline on an early morning walk and we had an impromptu stop at the park. And I had no excuse that my 18 month old child was in her PJ's on the swing. I was thankful that I wasn't shunned by the other moms! HA!
It's amazine how these Rockies have so many sleeping people. I live in Steamboat Springs, CO and outside my window is the Sleeping Giant. Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. It's a blessing to see how God has blessed us with such beauty.
Love the pic of your mom holding the sleeping Annabeth. So sweet!
Yeah, that alpine slide NEVER interested me either. Fast down a hill, rocks, pain...no thanks.
Worst part of a wonderful vacation...when it's over.
Melana in Wyoming
These pics are great. Thanks for sharing them with us!
You know - thank you so much for sharing your family pics. It is a blessing to see before my eyes pics of a family that loves each other, has chosen to stand beside each other through real life hard stuff. And then to see the multigenerational pics it just blesses my socks off. And it is inspiring and leads my heart towards hope when it's sometimes easier not to. I pray God blesses y'all mightily. PS SO SO SO glad you prioritize getting away on vacation!
Thank you so much for sharing your pictures! I grew up going to Lost Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole. Your pictures made my heart long to go back with my own family. We'll have to stay somewhere else since Lost Creek has turned into a seriously pricy place. I'm so glad you got away with your family to such a beautiful place!
Jenny from VA
These pictures are so fun! I've never been to Jackson Hole, but seeing all the fun and beauty there makes me want to visit!
~Kristin
Oh, those are great pictures! I am sure, based on the pictures, Jackson was the saddest Jones of all to be leaving.
Amanda,
Thanks so much for sharing your photos. They are wonderful. I love the one with Siesta Mama and Annabeth.
Another place to add to places to visit list - Jackson Hole, WY. It reminds me a lot of the Black Hills.
Thank you, Lord, for your work with nature. It is grander than we can ever imagine!
Namaste,
Mary Ann, Woodbury, MN
It would have been insane NOT to let Jackson do the bungee trampoline! I'm sure seeing his smile and hearing him laugh was worth it! It should be a tradition along with your tree stump family photo, especially when Annabeth is old enough to jump on it in a few years, too! :)
Thank you for sharing your memories!
amanda-love the pics!
is annabeth the proud wearer of 'leg warmers'? hey-i'm an 80's girl & spotted cute striped socks...wait...i...see..toes!!! those are leg warmers tooooo cute!
lovin life in Him-lisa
sunny at the beach :)
Great Pictures!!!! Thanks for sharing!
I'll be at Deeper Still. :)
I love it that your family is so transparent! Beth (your momma!) is so incredibly awesome and "famous" and yet she seems so real, so down to earth, just like you and Melissa do. I feel like we could so be best friends! Thank you to your family for not hiding away some where for "publicity" sakes, but for sharing your lives with us!
O:)
Melissa
(I'm a big fan of Travis' and he goes to church with us. Next time you all are in town give us a call and we'll "hang out"!)
The pictures are great. It looked like a perfect get away!
Amanda....THANK YOU for taking me on vacation with you and your family! I didn't have near the good time you did, but it was pretty good just the same.
Love, Sue
Your pictures brought back a flood of memories. I grew up not too far from there and haven't been back in almost 10 years...I think I'll go have a good cry because I miss the mountains..
Jackson Hole is a place I've always wanted to go!! And seeing your pictures makes me want to go both before snow season and during! One day...
Glad y'all had a good time and thanks for sharing your family with us!
Amanda!! Thank you for writing about Orlando this weekend!! I've sat at my desk all day today with ants in my pants and butterflies in my tummy! I've counted the minutes since I got here this morning~ I'm heading straight for the arena at 5:00 sharp!
This was the first time I've actually been so thoughtful to every last detail of my attire in a looooooong time. I even painted my toenails last night (they'd been yelling at me for a few weeks to get a paint job). My outfit, hair and nails have nothing to do with anyone speaking at the event, I'm sorry to say. I got up this morning anticipating a magical date night with my Heavenly Father :) I wanted to look especially pretty, just for Him :) Imagine the warmth in my heart when a wonderful woman standing behind me in line at Starbucks this afternoon told me I looked beautiful :) :) :) My heart beamed because I knew exactly who I got ready for this morning :)
Praise Him!!! Only one more hour to go!!! :) :) :) :)
Amanda - those pictures are awesome! My man and I are going up to Jackson and Yellowstone next week for a short getaway. I can't wait and now seeing these makes me even more excited!
Betsy
Okay, again, these photos make me want to travel to that beautiful part of creation and see it for myself!
Also, every last one of you is stunning. What a BEAUTIFUL family!
AND...I grew up about 10 Miles from an Alpine Slide (the one in Killington, VT) and I was always terrified of it! I still am, actually. I have a picture of my awesome grandmother on the slide when she was in her mid 70s.
AWESOME PHOTOS!!
Jackson's eyes are still amazing to look at! Looks like Lil Sis Annabeth was blessed with the same!
Thanks for sharing your photos and memories!!
You have a couple of the cutest kids on the planet! Seriously!
I am not above arranging a betrothal for our kids... Jackson and Juliana has a nice ring to it :-p (joo-lee-AH-nuh, not anna).
Ok, ok, I AM above that. But they are still stinkin' cute!
><>BECCA<><
Wow!!! It is so beautiful...thanks for showing us all the great pictures. I think we should have a womens retreat there, with you guys!!!
What a wonderful thought, heaven will be so awesome huh??
Gorgeous, Amanda! Thank you for sharing!
Love, Shelli
Fort Worth, Texas
Just a few comments for you:
I recognize so many of those places. The few I didn't I've decided we will have to go check out the next time we are there. :o)
Those cabins in the back of your mom & dad is where our family stayed when we went there last year. We ate at Signal Mt. Lodge two or three times. :o) Loved waking up and sitting on the front porch looking at the mountains reflecting on the lake. Loved sharing that with Jesus.
I have to tell you that Annabeth is so stinkin' cute I can barely stand it. LOL
My heart would have been racing at seeing the boys go up that mt in the lift. I could tell Curtis had a good hold on Jackson though. Jackson and Annabeth look like a lot of fun. :o)
Thank you for sharing these. I really enjoyed it & can't wait to go back.
Praying for those going to Deeper Still.
With much affection,
Anna
We just returned from JH last Sunday...and we miss it so much! It's the greatest place!! Oh so beautiful!!!
Precious pics, Amanda! So many memories to cherish! You are loving well! :)
how sad is it that your mom dresses cuter than me?!?!? ;)
Wow Amanda! Your trip looks like heaven on earth! There is nothing like getting out of 'the city' into the beautiful country that God made. It gives such perspective on how large He is, how awesome He is. Thanks for sharing the photos so I could escape to Wyoming for a few minutes!! :)
Blessings!
Oh the tree hiding was the best! Too funny, I had to chuckle. Precious
Thanks Gang,
I've been waiting for these . . . do I sound like family or what???? The Body of Christ is truly large!!
Love the pics and LOVE the little leg warmers!!! If you guys have any good hills in Houston, Jackson might like ice blocking. God bless!
Thanks for loving all of us enough (that you don't even know) to share your lives with us. It really is fantastic - no matter how jealous I may be.

Amanda, Thanks for sharing the great pictures!! My husband and I went to Wyoming for the first time last August. It was so incredible! We stayed at Signal Mountain Inn for several days, then stayed in Yellowstone park. We hiked up to Inspiration Point and took the boat back. We saw a bear up close and personal at Artist's Point in Yellowstone. I can't wait to go back sometime. Maybe with my grandkids! Blessings
THAT LAST SHOT IS YOUR CHRISTMAS CARD SHOT FOR SURE!!!!
YOUR PICTURES ALWAYS GIVE ME HOPE.
Looks like that mountain air is pure refreshment for the Moore/ Jones' families!
Great photos! Now I know where to visit if I get a chance to go out that way.
If you get to Brevard NC and vist the "Cradle of Foresty" go right down the road to Sliding Rock. Wear no jewelry that can be broken, bent or lost in the river.Don't wear a swimsuit.Wear 2 pairs of old jeans you are ready to throw away and old shoes to protect your feet. The jeans will last @2 trips down the rock. It is icy cold even in July. Bring plenty of towels and and extra change of clothes and shoes from the skin out, including a beach towel to change behind. Last time I was there they didn't have changing rooms or they filled up so fast it was easier to make do than freeze waiting. There is a sign "Do this at your on risk". They mean it.
I was reading your post and got to thinking about doors. Over 20 years about when I was working with 5-yr olds, a child saw someone go thru a door.He didn't know the person or what they were doing but he wanted to go thru the door. I tried to explain to him he had to stay with his class. A co-worker,who had more experience, saw the situation asked me what was going on. The she said "Can you move the door?" No "Can you move the child?" Yes. Then she suggested I get him to another part of the classroom and interested in something else. I have found this works in other situations also. Sometimes I just need to change my focus or possibly help someone change theirs.
Your kids are so darn cute. Loved the pictures. Jackson Hole is one of my favorite places on earth to be. You and Curtis make the cutest couple. God bless your family, thanks for sharing it with us.
Love you.
Yehaw, Jackson!
Amanda, thank you for the dear dear photos and memories of this very special place on earth- My family (my husband and two sons) spent time at Lost Creek Ranch over a decade ago and were deeply touched by those Tetons- My youngest son's horse at the ranch was "Peanut"- of the gentle persuasion- we were there during the Yellow Stone fires and had to evacuate- all the other horses were rounded up and driven to a save place. Peanut was driven via trailer. I could "hear" those Tetons and for me they are the only other physcial place, other than the ocean, that I "hear" as a mighty creation of our God. Again, thank you for so generously sharing with us and brightening our day. I have driven from Austin and attended the first two Houston studies- My Goodness, what a blessing you talented and Christ filled ladies are to me and everyone who has the privilege to be a student of yours- Blessings to you and your loved ones, An Aunt Siesta
Darling! Annabeth is darling! Jackson is darling! Your sweet mamma (Bethie) is darling holding that darling baby girl!! The hide-and-seek pictures are darling! The best day of Jackson's life was so darling!! I love, love, love it all! (Yes, I just watched the first session from "Esther" today! Everyone has their definition of what darling is.) You Moore's are IT! Come see us in Wisconsin! The leaves are just starting to turn, the nights are becoming crisp, and the apples in all the orchards are ripe! We'll take visitors ANYTIME!! Lovin on y'all! Allison
This is for Mr. Moore specifically!! It is turkey season here!! And the boys love to play airsoft! Come join us!! Allison
I love this post so much I can hardly handle it.
Gotta hike to those falls!
Nice pictures! I love that you take a picture on the stump before you head home.
In my family, we go to the same campground each year. I have pictures of my son at 3 months and every year after that. He's now 24! And he's the one to remind us we need to take a picture by the campground sign.
Thank you for sharing Amanda. One of my spiritual pathways to Jesus is through his creation. I was choked up many times you showed the glory of those mountains, trees, rivers, deer, bear, etc. I think all of us are going to want to go there now.
Oh my goodness! This is my kind of vacation! Being in the beautiful outdoors, God's beautiful country, I love it. It looks like you all had the best time, thanks for sharing the great pics of your family. It brought a big smile to my face at the end of a long and tiring yet, blessed day. We are considering a road trip next summer with our family of 4 and Jackson Hole is one of the places we are considering making a stop. It will be a bit of a trek, since we're coming from near San Francisco, CA, but wow, from these pics it looks soooo worth it. I'll be showing these to the hubs definitely! Again, thanks for letting us a be a part of your family fun. blessings!
Melissa G. Concord, CA
The photos are great. Looks like you all had a great time! God's creation is awesome!!
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.
Patti, (FL)
this place looks like a blast! thanks for sharing the pics! Annabeth is growing so fast, a cute as a button! and Jackson just grows more handsome all the time. I wonder what he thinks is the very best thing he did there..i would have loved to hear him squeal!
Amanda-
That was fun, I enjoyed every picture, and I did find the sleeping Indian, which is amazing, since I've never seen a real sleeping Indian. :0)
Thanks sweetie for thinking of us.
Becky
Amanda,
Those were beautiful pictures of a beautiful family! Thank you so much for sharing them with us! I loved them!
Darling kids and beautiful mountains. When you typed what you had for breakfast, I missed the "hot" and thought you just started with good 'ole chocolate. Wow, thought I. How cool that she's not afraid to admit to downing chocolate even before mentioning eggs!
Then I saw "hot". But, still, you are very cool to take the time and effort to share such great photos.
Keep having fun,
Warm in Alaska.
shoot! we were just in orlando last week for a show...
i am so in need of a retreat, and these pictures are just amazing. adding it to my list of places to visit for sure...
your children are still beautiful, and their eyes still steal the show
Those are great pictures!
Thanks for sharing your family vacation with us.
Looks like y'all had a wonderful, wonderful time!
Seriously, thank you so much for sharing your life with us! I really do feel like I know you girls and these are the kind of pictures you share with a friend. I love seeing your kids grow!
Still need to go to Jackson Hole (with MY Jackson... and other kids, too, of course!) :)
The pictures were beautiful, but really, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the leg warmers... too cute!
It was awesome tonight at Deeper Still... cannot wait until tomorrow...I am so blessed to be a child of God
Amanda, thank you so much for sharing more family pictures of your trip to Wyoming...they are awesome. I definitely agree with you...Jenny Lake is something to see! Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and Wyoming may be on our "to do" list for next year :o)
Thanks for sharing your vacation with us! Just looking at those pictures made me think I was right there with y'all..! We are headed to Branson, MO in a few weeks and I cannot wait!
You have a beautiful family...You are making memories that will last a lifetime!
Blessings,
Gena T
thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing these wonderful, wonderful pictures! As soon as I've settled back in the U.S., I will definitely start planning a visit to Jackson Hole... I wonder if driving is feasible from Orlando? cough. I just looked at the map... I think driving is NOT an option!
... and speaking of Orlando, I just wanted to say that I am ABSOLUTELY gutted not to be there for the Deeper Still Event!! I am moving there in mid-October, so I am missing it by barely a month! sob! Next year, for sure!!
pps further to my move.. may I post a "selfish" note here? I am moving to the Orlando area (Lake Mary, specifically) in a month's time from England, and I would soooo welcome to get in touch and meet some of the local "Siestas"... it will also make my move a bit easier as I am moving to a totally "unknown territory"!! pls email me!
thank you Amanda for this aside... and thank you again for the wondddderful photographs!

Just beautiful! My son, Jack, just asked if these pictures were of friends of mine. I told him not exactly, but we are brothers and sisters in Christ and we will meet them some day. I am not sure he understood, but we do!
Thanks for sharing the family photos!
My husband and I have some fond memories of Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons as we spent our 25th wedding anniversary there. It sounds like you had a wonderful time!
The pics were beautiful! The children look exactly alike except one is blue and the other one pink!!! Precious, precious babies!
Amanda, my husband and I have been going back and forth about over our vacation for next year. Yellowstone is on the list and after seeing your pictures it has moved way up. I have 3 boys 3,6,9 and they would love it!
Thanks for sharing.
what a great vacation! and the pictures of your kids enjoying it all make it just come to life ....... not that the mountains don't do that already!
Wow...that even makes ME want to go to Jackson and I only live a few hours away! Thanks for sharing.
Oh, SO LOVE these photos. We took our two girls out west a little over a year ago. My husband was laid off, we withdrew girls from school, (home school for a semester) got in an RV and headed west. We visited many of these same places! So fun - can't wait to get back there some day!! Thanks again!
So much fun! Isn't it neat to see how our children react with water? Some like it cold, some hot. Some love the splashing, some don't. And the beauty of seeing the world with the enthusiastic eyes of our children--priceless!
I hope pre-school is going well!
love,
Audrey

off to give a baby shower today!
Wonderful memories and might I say beautiful pictures. Jackson Hole is now on my Bucket List.
I loved seeing your beautiful pictures! I went white water rafting on Snake River with our Youth Group while on a mission trip to nearby Ethete, and it was freezing in late June! We wore wet suits and still froze- but it was breathtakingly beautiful and so much fun! It is always a pleasure to see pictures of your sweet family- I really feel like I know you all personally though them.
Oh how beautiful. I do so want to visit there one day! Thanks for sharing with us!
beautiful
Beautiful memories! We need to take our family there, plus I have a friend that lives there who has twins I have yet to see.
Your kids are gorgeous.
I just saw one of those bungee things when I was in KC a month ago. We're going for a weekend visit to friends' in October & my 8 yr old wants to do it. Her backdrop won't be mountains though, it will be Macy's as it's in the mall. :(
OH! It can be though...Photoshop :)
Wonderful, wonderful pictures!! So glad you all had so much deserved down time!! Wish I could have heard Jackson 'squeeling'...I love that sound....

My cup runneth over...that's about all I can muster after Deeper Still this weekend. I definitely need some time to mull over everything that was said, but I was absolutely BOWLED OVER with God's Presence, and the fact that He purposefully placed some very amazing women around me while there.
P.S. For anyone else who was there, did Beth's rap not crack you up or what!?@???! And I about fell off my chair when she said she had a "God-given Bump-it"!! HAHA!!
Just got back from Deeper Still in Orlando!! I am still in awe of God and how he uses his own to speak to others through them!! It is so awesome. I learned just what I was asking for. I had been praying specifically about the need for discernment and God delivered! Thank you Jesus, Thank you Beth for being his vessel. Please pray for my family as we consider all the things we really need to pray about. Kay's message on being prepared for the troubled times ahead and resting in God, and Priscilla's word on believing that our God can go above and beyond our beyond because HE IS ABLE!! I was so refreshed. :) By the way, Jackson Hole is my family's favorite place to visit!!! Have you ever tried Nora's fish camp in Wilson??Awesome breakfast :) And we love the desserts at Spectacle Mnt. lodge. (like the gift shop too!) Blessings to you all for all of your hard work at LPM. Stacy
No, thank YOU for sharing your pictures! Looks like it might've been among the happiest days of EVERYONE'S life!
Just had to pop on here and say how much I appreciated Beth at Deeper Still this weekend. I was supposed to go to LPL in JAcksonville in Feb. but had to cancel because my daughter was in the hospital. Then I had to cancel a Women of FAith event b/c my husband was having surgery. IN between I had to cancel to cancel a Revolve Tour event b/c my daughter was in hospital again. I almost had to miss this one b/c my Father in law was having surgery for bladder cancer. But God is good and this time I actually made it! And oh my oh my oh my did I ever get a word! It was like God looked starigt into my situation (preachers wife here, nuf said?) and told me EXACTLTY what to do. Not only me, but my wonderful husband as well. I know how exhausting it is to prepare and teach and I just wanted to say thank you. You matter. You and Kay and Priscilla brought God's word to me and that MATTERS! WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVENT. :)
Love them!
What darling children. Thanks for sharing your pictures. We are the proud parents of three boys. While I wouldn't trade them for the world; there is just something special about those little baby girls and all the cute little girl clothing, shoes, princess costumes, etc... O.K. Maybe baby boys are a little cheaper, but they do get just as expensive the older they get. Have a great weekend!
I love the 2nd round of pictures. makes me want to go out there even more
I absolutely loved the pictures and the narrating of all of them!! What a beautiful family you have!
Thanks for sharing. My in-laws had a cabin near Glacier National Park for years. Seeing these pictures make me miss our summers there.
Amanda,
Thank you for blessing me w/a ticket this past week-end.I would not have been able to go, if it werent for you, & Angie. Deeper Still was awesome!! I actually got to hug your Mom. I felt like i was touching the Pope!!! I love her, she has changed my life!
She also carried me, when my son passed away, I was doing "Daniel" & I believe that study gave me the strength,& everything else it took to carry Nick home. I was being refined.
OH, BTW, tell Beth, after she uses her "tease in a bottle" not to comb after. <3<3 xoxoxo jo
Enjoyed the pictures.
I am envious of the need for a jacket.

Great family pictures. We love that you share them with us. What a bond it creates with women who have never met. LOVED Them.
Orlando Deeper Still was awesome! Just got back about an hour ago. We stayed through Sunday and went to Millenia Mall for some last moments of girl time.
I'm already planning to get some women together for next years' LPL in Tampa. I'm already convicted of three lost friends who I'd love to expose to the Lord. And what better event than LPL. I'll be praying for the next 6 months that God will start working in their lives. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to go. I was very restored in the Lord. God Bless you ladies for persevering in ministry. I know it's not easy.
Love to you all.
The Alpine slides in Jackson are the BEST!! I love them.
The photos are amazing, Amanda. I really FELT like I visited that part of the country.
Never seen such moutain beauty in my life. Here in Jax, FL the only mountains we get are the on and off ramps of the highway...hahahaha.
Love you all so much!!

P.S. Deeper Still was great. Sweet Beth helped me so much in the area of discernment. (One of my scriptures memory verses is Phil 1:9-10...thought that was so cool.)
Deeper Still was AWESOME! Thank you so much for letting us into your sweet family's life!
Your little girly is getting so big- she is precious..they both are-It looks like you had a great trip!!

The pictures are great! They reminded me of what things we did when we lived in Colorado Springs, CO., a very long time ago.
The children are precious!!

Those were some great pictures. Thanks for sharing them. The scenery is breathtaking in the photos, so I can only imagine what it was like in person. What fun and great memories with the family! In Jesus' Love Kathy Knoblock
We visited Jackson Hole this summer and loved it! It is such a beautiful place. It was so much fun to see your pictures.
Great pictures....our family also loves the mountains. Amanda, did I happen to see you on the Texas A&M campus yesterday?
your picture of your splashing-water-loving son and your comment immediately brought to mind an earlier picture of him with the garden hose!!!!!
Oh, Amanda. You must spend some significant time staring at your darling kiddos. In every picture of her, Annabeth is just breathtakingly adorable. That face, seriously, I gasped at how cute. And those eyes. Jackson looks soooo tall. And even in still shots, you can tell he's having a blast. It glows on his whole face.
Thank you for sharing the trip. The pix of the scenery makes we want to go (and this Houstonian does not like cold weather!) Well done on telling the vaca story in pictures!
Chillin' vicariously,
~Lynnette
Oh Amanda, What memories your pictures resurrected in me. I grew up in western Nebraska, so we made trips to the Tetons a few times. I'd almost forgotten Jenny Lake. . . it all made me homesick. Our kids wanted to do the "Alpine Slide" in the Black Hills (S.D.). The ride was a blast, but I didn't enjoy it much because I was so traumatized by the ski lift up (with no snow)! eeek! Thanks for sharing your vacation with us. Jackson Hole/Yellowstone is a great place to bask in the beauty of God's creation.
Vicki
Great pics once again Amanda. Thanks for the look inside your family's life. It just seems like we all know you and we KNOW that isn't true.
Have a blesed day!!

Must be nice to have enough money for a vacation like this.
Thank you for sharing your trip pics! I've never been there and I don't hike either but I want to hike there now! Deeper Still was a "hike" of sorts (tons of stairs at Amway Arena not to mention the maturing in Christ challenges by your mom, Kay, and Priscilla). I actually called it "IAMtheWAY" arena this weekend. God was huge to me!!! Loves!
always love you sharing your family photos...beautiful country, makes me want to add that to my list of places.
Oh it looks like yall had a BLAST on your vacay. I would Love the cooler weather right about now. I am so ready for fall this year!
So glad you all got to spend some family time together! :D
Those were great!!!! thanks for sharing!!!

PS what I wouldn't give for some time in the mountains.
Loved, loved those pictures...thanks for sharing your vacation with us! It looks absolutely beautiful there! So glad y'all had a great time! :)
Did your dad tell you he saw a sleeping Indian? And did you really see it ? Because I looked at that picture for ever and well I think he must have woke up!
Anyway enjoyed looking your pictures! I love you all :)
As you ended up with best wishes for Deeper Still in Orlando this last weekend, let me tell you all, that for the group of Dominican women at the event, it went over our expectations. God was there so evident in everything, the organization, the worship music, that group they are really worshippers from the heart, all three women were used magnificently by the Lord our God. It was worth flying from the Caribbean to Florida. Now we are going to share that blessing with our sisters in Christ in our country. Hoping that someday we can have our Deeper Still Event locally. Ephesians 3:20
Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip pictures!! It makes me want to visit there!!!
Your family is so beautiful. Those kids are so cute I just want to bite them. I mean that in the nicest way. (Not really bite them!) Your dad and Curtis look like they are in their element. Men and the wilderness, they love it. See Jackson is already loving the wilderness thing!
I loved our family vacations when the kids were little. There was so much joy in every little adventure. Enjoy every minute, they grow up so quickly. Thanks for the vacation pictures. I will add it to my list of places to go!! Beautiful!

I've had the utmost pleasure in growing up near Jackson Hole. I was born in Jackson Hole and raised about an hour and a half away. Now, I live about 3 hours, but still am thankful that I can still visit in a day's time.
Your pictures are so great! Thank you for sharing a part of your family time!
Loved the pics.
Ohhh... Your pics made me grin from ear to ear! My BIL and fam live and work in JH- (He's a sheriffs deputy- look out!) We have enjoyed a number of trips there! The pics take me back- and realize WE ARE DUE!!We loved Jenny Lake and the ferry. :) My husband Loves Billy's... We've HIKED snow King- NO, it was not pretty! They were married in Moran... Thanks for a walk down memory lane!
I don't think that sweet baby girl could look any more like her Bibby.
Hook a sista up and show her where the sleeping indian is...
Thanks so much for sharing the photos! What a beautiful place to spend family time and you did all the coolest stuff! WooHoo! Riding horses to a pancake breakfast outside. That is the best.
We love the Tetons. When the kids are older or if you have a day to yourself, hike Table Mountain. You get to be so close to the Grand from the other side, it's like you can reach out and touch it. Tough hike, but oh so worth it! Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.
