Living Proof Live - Bossier City, LA

Good morning, ladies! I should have some pictures or a video slide show for you in the next couple of days. In the meantime, I thought I would give our Louisiana ladies a place to tell us about the weekend's conference. My mom said she fell in love with you instantly. She also told me that God was with you all from the first minute until the last. We are giving wild applause to Him for the twenty-five women who made professions of faith. God is so good! Have a blessed Monday, everyone.

I was one of the 25 who made a profession of faith! It has taken years to do it, but I knew GOD said "it is time", don't wait anymore. I loved your mom! Didn't know anything about her going into the conference, but afterwards had to google her and found this blog. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! This was my 4th "meeting" with Beth and I was not disappointed. I always tell people that Women of Faith is good and is very rejuvenating, but with Beth, you get "Wow!" and it was once again true. Beth, so much keeps running through my mind when I think back over the weekend. "In Christ Alone" has been my favorite since Little Rock and it still is. Being Baptist (:)), I don't often raise my hand (though I should, I should), but I always do during that song and on Saturday, I wept. And I could not write fast enough! I have thought of my Ebenezer stone all weekend - "Thus far!" and the part about stoning others with Jesus! So true! Thank you Beth for allowing God to speak through you! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! (Oh, and did I mention it was AWESOME!) Oh and Travis! AWESOME!!!!! (I was wearing my capris on Saturday!):) God bless you!

I had the privilege of attending the conference with both of my young adult daughters. We traveled from Longview, TX, Waynesboro, MS, and Duncan, Ok to attend the event together. It was a blessed experience that I pray will continue to grow in us to produce more fruit. Thank you, Beth, for your faithfulness to Him.

I can't tell you how excited that I am to realize you blog. Praise the Lord!

Thank you for your obedience to God's call. I have just started Get Out of that Pit with 16 other ladies. My girlfriend called me this morning said she couldn't put it down til she finished it this weekend. It's going to be life changing! God is SO GOOD!

I am linking my blog here, (I hope that's ok) and I hope that more ladies can be inspired to become the women God has called each of them to be through your interpretation of His Word.

The conference was incredible!!!! I am holding up my Ebenezer stone and claiming all God's promises for my life and for my family. He is faithful and I am so thankful. My daughter--in-law attended with me and we are claiming in the name of Jesus that wholeness and victory will be contagious in our family and that will be our generational legacy. Beth was full of the spirit and Travis Cottrell was incredible. He sang a song on Saturday morning and I don't know the name or how to find it. He sang it solo and the words Exalt keep scrolling on the screen , so if any one knows the title please share with me. I am so thankful for the women who received Christ this weekend. I also pray that 14,000 lives would be changed, not just refreshed by the weekend. MAY WE BE DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!

I was blessed to be at the Bossier conferance, and even more that my mother came with me my friends. It was Mother's first time to hear God through Beth. And hear she did. Thank you GOD. My Mom was not sure that she would enjoy Saturday, Friday night was loud to her (she could not get her hearing aide just right) and she just knew Saturday would be the same. Well it wasn't. She enjoyed and praised with such emotion, and so did I. On Saturday I looked over at her, and she was singing and raising her hands to God. I just cryed with joy. My Mother has never raised her hands. But this wonderful, beautiful woman of 73 years, did on this day. Thank you Beth for sharing your love of God and His word with us, and Travis, thank you for sharing with us His love through songs. Prayers & Smiles, Dianne

Welcome to the family Leanne!!! I am praising God for the 25 women who made a profession of faith!! I won't take up your room but I love reading your posts and enjoy seeing how God showed up. Beth taught us about the Ebenezer stone in one of her studies and I went to the rock quarry and got some stones and had each lady write on the rock how God had helped them thus far...and I still have my rock in my bedroom to remind me how he has delivered me and that he can do it again!! Thanks for sharing and have a blessed Monday!!

Beth, I came to the conference with 6 other ladies from AR. I wrote a letter to you before hand and told you we were coming. We were the ladies who to my knowledge bought the last tickets available. I know it was no accident that we were able to attend. We were blessed tremendously by the Lord. His presence was so strong in that place. I think of how that arena is used all the time for secular purposes, but when 14,000 women of God come together, the Lord himself shows up and it becomes a sanctuary of praise. I pray that whoever uses that arena next will know that something powerful has happened there.
I was especially touched by the word of God He gave concerning "Release". There have been things I have been holding on to that I simply needed to "release" to God. What a blessing to know He is in control. I am praying that everyday I will continue to "release" my concerns to Him. I am so thankful that I was able to attend. I had been looking forward to it for such a long time. I hope and pray that you are able to come to Arkansas sometime in the next few years. We would love to have you back!!!

I cannot say enough about the conference. It was awesome! Beth, I think you outdid yourself on this one. It was my sixth conference to attend and this was my favorite. I loved your journal! :) Thanks for sharing and for being so real.
I attended with my mom and two sisters. Right after we got to our hotel and checked in and got settled in our room, my mom couldn't find her purse. It had the conference tickets in it and all her money and credit cards. Someone had found it in the elevator and turned it in and everything was still in it! Praise the Lord!
Beth, your message was so good. All the way home we talked about what we learned and compared our notes.
Lastly, this morning as I was walking out the back door, on my patio, there was a rock about the size Beth held while teaching about us being living stones. We have NO rocks in our yard or anywhere near and I picked that up and put it in my purse as a reminder.
Thanks to the praise team and for the wonderful way you all work together and the way you keep it real.
Also, so thankful for those who were saved.
It was all so great....I'm already wondering where we'll get to attend next year!
Love and blessings to all!

For Leanne and the other 24 who trusted Christ alone for their salvation:

From Colossians 2:6-7, I pray, So then, just as they received Christ Jesus as Lord, I pray they will continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as they are taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

You don't need to know my name, only that all twenty five of you (my new sisters in Christ)are an answer to my prayers and the prayers of the many other prayer warriors who stood in the gap for Saturday's Living Proof Live event.

Blessings to you,
Your sister

God was so HUGE last weekend! He has been leading me out of a pit I've called home since I was a child. And Friday night I knew I was OUT, RELEASED, and FREE! (I'm crying as I type.) He is amazing! I heard Him speak from the first line of the first song on Friday night. Thank you, Beth, for sharing God's Word with us. And thank you to all who prayed for this event. May God continue to speak powerfully to each of us every day!!

I was there, too. How awesome it was to sing, clap, and lift up hands in praise with 14,000 sisters (especially the 25 new ones)!
So many irritations arose during the week leading up to this event - trying to keep me from attending. Praise God, He made a way for me to keep His divine appointment. You wouldn't believe the size of the Ebeneezer stone I lifted up! My heart is so light today.

Thank you to everyone on the team for allowing this weekend to be about bringing God all the glory.

Beth! We were there! We went to receive a word and BOY DID WE!! Yes, I am the Stacey that wrote you the letter about my precious friend Christi. We were there, four rows back from the reserved church seats. You looked right at us several times, but I don't know if you knew who we were. I can not begin to convey how moved Christi was that you spoke over her. I can not begin to tell you how much your message meant to both of us. We were there with almost 20 people total, all coming with different situations and hurts to lay before the lord and it was if you were speaking directly to each one of us individually. God has lavishly anointed you with a tremendous gift and we are so grateful that you share it with us. Please DON"T STOP your ministry. You touch more people than you will ever know and you lit a fire in us to go and spread God's word. YOU ROCKED! We all felt the presence of the Lord so thick within those walls that at times, it was almost suffocating. Thank you for blessing us. We are going to rename our bible study group "Living Stones" because your message resonated so deeply with us and what we want to be through Christ. Thank you for taking the time to listen to us, thank you for reading my letter. Even though Christi's divorce will be final in a few months, she is at peace and has handed the Lord her stones over her marriage. You will never know how you blessed her and myself. Thank you so much for all that you do! We love and esteem you. Keep on rocking in the Lord!

I was there with 4 of my dearest friends PLUS my mom, which made it even better! God is so amazing, that He can take one message and apply it to 6 different ladies going through 6 VERY unique situations! At lunch on Sat. we all shared one thing that we felt God had said to each of us, and one that stood out to all of us, was "we are so afraid that God will not be faithful in the future that we become unfaithful today". WOW...the other thing was "Thus far..." Thus far, the Lord has helped each one of us in our very unique situations...and if He's been faithful Thus far...then we can KNOW He will continue to be faithful. Truthfully, ALL of it was so powerful...SOO much to process. We did all agree that we need to go find a rock to put in a very visible place to help remind us...one of the girls said she would probably need one for every room of her house! Amen!

Thank you Beth, Travis and LPM team. Thank you for lifting high the name of Jesus! It was Awesome!

This was my 3rd time at a Living Proof conference and it was as wonderful as the two before! I fully expected for God to speak to me through Beth and He did not disappoint me. The word RELEASE was for me!! There have been things in my life over the last several years that I have just needed to release but kept holding on too and remaining "in the pit"...but Praise God ...after hearing Beth and reading half of the book"GET OUT OF THAT PIT"... I feel more alive and released today than I have in years! Thank you Beth, for your love of our God and for sharing yourself and your family with those of us who need to hear!

The Living Proof Live Conference was the most amazing thing that I have ever experienced in my life. I have been a Christian for a while now, but I wasn't living the way that I needed to. I've tried to handle situations on my own, but God reminded me this weekend that He is in control of everything so there is no need to worry about anything. Mrs. Beth is amazing and God has truly blessed her.

Pleassssse? (I'm whining in my best imitation of my 3 year old son. ;) )

The wonderful ladies who traveled to Bossier gave "testimony" about the conference during our Sunday night service and I wish you could have heard it! My husband thought we had 'organized' our comments because they were so varied, but, truthfully, no one could accuse us of being the least bit organized!!! Our smaller pile of living stones was so blessed! Thanks for being faithful to your call. After many studies and several conferences, we all feel you are one of our best girlfriends! We love you!

I have to share with you my experience from this past weekend. I have heard of Beth Moore-but never knew what she was about! I received an email from someone who was doing a mass mailing about a ticket she had for sale because she did not have a babysitter. "I instantly responded give me the ticket" I had no idea if I even had a sitter much less the $ for the ticket. God wanted me there without a doubt. She touched my heart so deeply! I have given my life to Christ, but as far as letting go of the fear---well it just tugs at me! Satan works very hard on me because for years I was in between! Having Faith and not being afraid is just hard for me! As I sat in those stands by myself--I experienced a panic attack, cold sweat, hard to breathe--all I could think about was "are we about to be bombed from some "God hating soul"! Why does God want me here? What is about to happen in my life? I think this way on a daily basis! I get so scared to even live life! When she walked out on that stage and started to talk-a peace immediately overtook me! Now I cant say that I was totally unafraid--but I was definitely at Peace! God was there-no doubt in my mind. This was an awesome experience and I am ready for the next one!!

Precious Beth,

My heart is so overflowing with gratitude that there almost aren’t enough words … THANK YOU for being such an open channel of God’s blessings this past weekend! I came hungry and desperate for God, and He met me! From the opening notes of the praise and worship to the final ‘amen’, God’s presence was so sweetly tangible. Friday night’s message especially touched my heart, to once again grab hold of my Ebenezer stone and remember that “… thus far the Lord has helped me”. I desperately needed that reminder. Your vulnerability in sharing your own prayer journal was especially touching.

10 ladies from our Bible study were able to attend, and on the way home we each shared how God had spoken to us just what we each needed. Only God can lovingly distribute the Bread of Life in such unique ways from the same messages. Travis and the praise team were simply amazing. I don’t know who does the graphics for the words and music, but WOW! It added such a dynamic dimension to worship. And to the see the new sisters who came forward for salvation - what can be better than that?

I think it’s going to take a few days to digest everything I heard and received. So many precious nuggets of truth to ponder and allow the Holy Spirit to make personal for me. Proverbs compares “words fitly spoken” to “apples of gold”. I feel like I have a whole orchard of golden apples to glean from! Sista Beth, thank you for your obedience to the Lord in all areas!

Much love,
Linda

P. S. Your demonstration of your church bell choir playing technique was priceless! It had us all giggling as we tried to get a few hours sleep before the next morning.

I can relate to what Amy T. said about not raising her hand in church, but I couldn't keep them down during the praise portion of this conference. Thank you for sharing the prayer from your journal about wanting Keith to want to come to church - I am praying that prayer every day about my husband. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so in love with Christ and God was so faithful in delivering a very powerful word through her this weekend. I, too, would like to thank you for all of the time that you put into studying the Word and bringing it alive for us. This was my first Living Proof Live event - but certainly will not be my last!

Praising the Lord for the 25 new believers. Thank you ladies for sharing.

I commented earlier, but I forgot to add one thing. Sunday morning our handbells played for the offering. My friend and I who went had to stifle our laughter! We couldn't help thinking about Beth's handbell journal entry (and her terrific imitation of herself)! After so much deep and spiritual stuff, God gave us a great laugh. Isn't He good!

Beth,

I so hope you read this...I don't know if I'll be able to even see to type this for the passionate tears that are streaming down my face. I have been to some youth events where God shook and bound satan... but I have never experience anything like Bossier City. I can't even put it into words. God is good... He is soooo good!!!! To all you Prayer Warrior Ladies I have to say a big THANK YOU. I added my sister to the prayer board last week about her marriage and God touched her so deeply this weekend! She text me a message this morning (Mon.) and said "Thus far..."
On Friday night Beth when you were speaking of Living/precious stones
my sister and I just looked at each other. Her beautiful 3 yr. old gathered a handful of rocks from the yard as we were living and told his Nanny they were going to paint them. We both new we would have some precious freshly painted stones waiting at home to remind us of our Ebenezer stone. I took mine and wrote on it... thus far the Lord has helped us...
and carried it in my pocket for two days now, until I got to work this morning. There is a dear sweet boy (21 yrs. old) I work with I have been witnessing to him for a few months now. Beth, I almost didn't take notes when you were speaking on addictions Sat. morning but now I'm glad I did. (here come the tears again) He told me this morning that he has been doing drugs and he flushed them all on Friday night. I never talk to him alot after work hours but Friday night after the conference I just had him on my mind so strong that I sent him a text saying how much God loved him and that I had some scriptures to share with him later. Ladies please help me pray for him. So this morning I reached my hand in my pocket and pulled out my Ebenezer stone handed it to him and explained it's meaning.
I say this in a grateful whisper thank you Beth for being an obedient servant. I have never experienced such worship...My heart and mind are still face down in reverent worship to our Mighty God!!
On a lighter note- have you guys ever tried to get out of a parking lot with 14,000 women drivers :)

BETH,

I am 25 years old and this was the first time that my mom and I have attended a Christian conference together. It was such a special time and a great memory I will always cherish! I laugh and cry and reflect often when I hear you talk about your sweet and hilarious relationship with your daughters, because my mom and I have a special relationship like that as well and it is such a blessing.
Anyways, I wanted to let you know that whenever you told us at the conference this weekend that you really felt the Lord impressing on your heart the word "RELEASE" my mom and i just looked at each other with wide eyes and couldn't help but giggle. I had been telling her the last couple of weeks in our phone conversations how i just felt God was trying to teach me to "release" some things that are out of my control at this time. Then during a later phone conversation, Mom was telling me about a crazy situation going on with the young man she and my dad have taken in, and I told her: "Mom, just release it!" I had pretty much even made a joke about it and would say "just release it girl" at the mention of any minor problem. Well, our jaws just about dropped to the floor Friday night when you spoke the word "RELEASE!"
Also, as a wife of just 2 1/2 years, I want to personally thank you for sharing your journal. My husband was in the army while we dated and we lived several states apart, so when we got married, we had a lot of adjusting to do. It was such a relief to hear some of the struggles you and keith have been through and to see how far God has brought ya'll. Thank you for humbling yourself to be so transparent and real. It was such an encouragement to me.
Thanks again for allowing the Lord to speak through you. Keep on keeping on, girl!
Thus Far....Jessica

Okay, here is how I know it was a great conference:
I've been under ATTACK ever since I got home!!
Well, technically, we had a day of grace on Sunday, including sweet testimonies from our ladies before the church on Sunday night.
But Monday? Bright and early it began. So, here I am: slinging stone of battle in one hand, ready to rush out to meet the enemy; meanwhile trying to resist hurling the stoning stone of unforgiveness. Then, I think I accidentally dropped by Ebenezer stone on my foot! But, with every limping step, I was reminded: Thus far, the Lord has helped me!!!
So, why would Satan bother throwing darts my way unless God was up to immeasurably more than I could ask or imagine? His power working through me? Glory!!! Love, Love, Love to all!

What a blessed weekend. I was able to take my mother who had never seen or heard Beth and loved it. I was very moved by the stoning stone. How many years have I throne stones at the empty house. I spent that night praying and felt as if I talked with Him all night forgiving and releasing the stones to him. After I left my parents I decided to visit the grave of one of my betrayers and my home where I grew up. As I drove by and by and by I prayed a blessing over the family that now lived there and praised God for the beauty I could now see. Yet again today I will seek Him.
In His name...
P.s. I attend the Houston Bible Study and am looking forward to the remaining studies.

Our family Ebenezer stone was moved with us to Colorado from Texas...we all signed it (the ones who could write) after my husband nearly died Thanksgiving 2003 from a ruptured appendix. Our stone is actually a very large piece of petrified wood. Everyone complained when we moved it (very heavy). But I insisted! All I can say is that I was weak and the Lord was strong...and faithful!

At my church in TN, I am involved in Beth's bible study on the book of Daniel. When I planned my trip to LA (home), I had no idea that Beth would be in Bossier City. My church in TN was planning on getting tickets to Deeper Still in Nashville, so I went online to check it out, never having been to one of Beth's conferences before. It was then that I saw the posting for Bossier. I decided that I would get tickets for my Mom and myself to attend the conference together in Bossier. Now I have to say, WOW is God good! As God's perfect plan unfolded before me, my church in TN was not able to get tickets to the Nashville event, but I was able to attend the Bossier event with my mother. Because we attended together we can share Beth's special message that has such meaning for us. Thank you Beth, Travis and Living Proof ministries for doing God's work and doing it so well.

Awesome job Beth. Thank you for letting the Lord use you for His glory. I will never look at another group of believers without seeing living stones building the spritual temple for the Lord Jesus. And the message about stoning people with Jesus has really been on my mind. I have done this with my family and close friends in my desperate attempt to show them the way to freedom. I can now release that and live a life out loud without judgement (with God's help). Sunday a challenge was put to us at our church concerning our family and my soul became downcast, but the Lord reminded me that I am not alone and I have Him and I can continue to say "Thus far the Lord has helped me!" Praise God!
From the blogs and the faces I saw at the conference I can see that God released a lot of people through His word! May God continue to open doors for you to share it!

I was in Oklahoma City this summer and then in Bossier City. I can't tell you what the Living Proof Live conferences mean to me. It's a very spiritual and uplifting experience - that I really needed. I had my mother, sister, daughter, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law with me in Bossier City, La. Everyone was blessed and received something very personal from God through Beth Moore. Thank you so much for your obedience to God's calling.

Beth, I sure thought you must have been in my mind for about the last 5 years. I went through something I did not want to go through. I told God I didn't not want to go through it. Prayer literally kept me alive through it. Scripture kept me sane through it. Now I raise my Ebenezer. Bossier weekend was such a healing time for me. Thank you for being available and willing. The cherry on top was as I was leaving I saw someone I hadn't seen in about 7 years, someone I didn't even know well. She had heard about my ordeal and told me she had been praying for me. God is good all the time!

What a great time I had in Bossier City this past weekend. Thank you Beth for your openness and allowing us to share in your life. The Word comes alive to me everytime I hear you speak and participate in one of the bible studies you allow God to write through you. You are truly annointed. Thank you Amanda for sharing your mom with so many. Thanks to your dad and sister also. I am a better person because of the teachings God has given you Beth. Thank you for using your gift for good! "Thus far the Lord has helped me!" Praise you Lord!!

What a wonderful conference with the Holy Spirit in full force. The Friday night session spoke volumes to me. I seek for perfection in my life and beat myself up when it doesn't occur. I had slowly let life circumstances beat me down and steal my joy. I have been in the process of reading Beth's book about Getting Out of That Pit and praying for God to get me out rather than me trying to pull myself out. My way was not working! The message Friday night about "Thus far" was so clearly from God. It was also very helpful when Beth shared her prayer journal and stated that life is hard and that there will always be "something" difficult to deal with. Because of Beth's journal I realize that I am no different than other women. We all go through the same struggles. This side of heaven is not perfect but thankfully my God walks with me everyday. Thank you Beth for allowing God to use you through these conferences and thank you Amanda for this blog that is just plain fun!

Thank you Beth for sharing what God laid on your heart! It was inspiring to hear all you came to share with us and truly anointed! I praise Him and all He has done in my life, my family and my church. We have a women's ministry that was inspired by 'Believing God'...bless you my dear friend in Christ!

The Bossier conference was incredible! That Saturday evening we learned that a 2 yr old little boy from our church had fallen into a swimming pool and didn't know if he would make it. As Beth would say, I prayed down the heavenlies!!! Every time I get an email saying how great he's doing, I say, "Thus far, the Lord has been our help" and I can just picture her holding up that rock. Miracles are happening! Our God is awesome!

I travelled from Iowa at the invitation from my very best friend to attend this event. I grew up in Arkansas, and we met at college in Louisiana. When Beth spoke of God allowing us to experience periods of loneliness for our own good I felt like she was speaking to me. I feel like a visitor in a foreign land - I'm in a place where the people don't talk like me (no one says ya'll), cook like me (there is no sweet tea to be found and crawfish would be unheard of)and they have a "careful" kind of friendly. When I am in Iowa I have to search for God much harder than when I'm in the South. Must be why I'm here. At the church I attend, Beth's Daniel study is being offered and I am attending. Listening to Beth and her southern ways on the video makes me feel close to home. Thank you for all you do. You are touching more lives than you will ever know.

This conference was amazing! God worked it out that I was able to get a ticket last minute, and I was so blessed! On Friday night as Travis was getting up to lead worship, he said "God specifically brought you here tonight; He has a reason for you to be here!" And my group turned and pointed at me, saying my name aloud. Glory! Travis and the girls were right, God had a reason for me to be there, and I will never be the same! Thank you, Beth, for allowing yourself to be used of Him!

Beth, I recieved a ticket from a friend to go. Our church only had ten ladies, to go, our hotel canceled half our rooms without notice, Satan didn't want us to go. God did!!!!!! My husband is a Pastor, we were at a time in our ministry when we know it is about time to go, but you need to hear from God before you move. I knew God would speak to me through you, He has at the 6 other confernces I have been to over the years. The first night God gave me a vision through you for our ministry. It is time to find a church to rebuild from the rubble and ashes. It is the first vision I have had since Katrina and we lost almost everything. God is so Amazing that the next day he wasn't finished with me. I already had my Thus far stone, I had been carring that for the last 4 years since I saw you in Columbia Mo. My stone is one of the very few things my husband did recover from Katina. I learned I was throwing stones at someone and needed to give them to God. I did that morning with lots of tears. Since then, God is already helping us find our church to build out of rubble. Thank you for being used of God to speak to us.He uses you to change so many of our lives. Thank you. God was very much in the building those two days we were there.

I just attended the Bossier City conference with my mother, sister, daughter, mother-in-law and sister-in law. The conference really spoke to each of us on our particular need. The only other female in our family that couldn't attend was my new daughter-in-law. However, she lives in Nashville, TN and I would like very much to buy tickets for both of us to attend the Deeper Still event. But it is sold out, so I got the idea to ask if anyone has 2 tickets they can't use. Can anyone help me? Please email me at: ckclaybaker@hotmail.com

Thanks - Cindy

Oh Dear Beth,
I am not sure that swept off my feet is even an apt description….Wow!...Wow!...WOW! Maybe BLOWN off my feet? What a display of His Spirit we had at CenturyTel, the essence and experience I am continuing to savor.

My group of Bible Study friends had been anticipating the weekend for quite some time. Most of us had been to this arena at one time or another and several of us had had the experience of having seats way up in the rafters and down in the trenches where all the action was taking place. So, we decided to get there a little early, and lo and behold, we found ourselves lined up like little ducks in row alongside the stage. Talk about being right there in the thick of things….

I think God placed us there for a reason. Our group is made up of various ages, various places in life; some happy, some not so happy. Friday night as the session was winding down, you went out on the floor and were walking the around the rows of women around the stage. When you came to our group, I have to laugh in recalling it. One friend of mine said you looked at her, and that friend later said she thought she probably had such a blank looking stare (totally uncharacteristic of her) that you probably thought, “Bless her heart, nobody’s home.” Then, next thing I know, you were coming toward me…..and I thought, “Great! My opportunity to look Beth in the eye, to connect, if only for a moment, to this person who God has used so well to teach me of Him.” Then, the moment came, and my weary, strained eyes did not want to focus!!!! ( I think I spent most of the evening taking my reading glasses on and off) I tried my best to look you in the eye, but, I have to laugh that with me, too, you probably thought, “Bless her heart, no one home there, either.” In my case, it was like God said, “You have to look at ME, not her!” Then, you moved on to my friend beside me, and boy, did you fix right upon her. It was such a strong moment that I felt myself shrinking back like I was intruding on a private moment. In my trying to move back, I missed what you said to her, but was later told that you said to her, “Do you have something to let go?” My friend said it was if you just knew….. She has been—is---in a devastating season of her life and needed to so desperately to hear that…..as if straight from God.

Strangely enough our little group wound up Saturday morning on the opposite side of the stage, right behind the Praise Group. Again, I was blown away by the experience of it all. And, you know what, when you were circling the women out on the floor, my friend I just mentioned, a woman who to see her is the picture of a statuesque blonde, beautiful woman, bu said that, again, you looked at her as if to say you knew….He knew and He loved her.

Love,
LL

Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming to Louisiana to minister to us!! You are such a blessing as well as an inspiration to all of us. You really have inspired me to be a better woman of God. Everytime I hear you, I get more and more fired up for the Lord. I believe God was all over the Centurytel Center and I thank Him for bringing 25 new sisters into our family. Praise Him!

Beth,

I should have written this two months ago, but alas, here I am, May 8th, finally doing it. I invited my unsaved best friend to go with me. I have known her a long time and we've been through the thick and thin together. She may not be a Christian...yet. :) But she's been the most faithful friend I've had and was with me through those unstable years after high school. I gave her the ticket as a V-Day gift, with no strings attached and not even asking for a commitment. To me and my husband's surprise, she gladly agreed to go. I was afraid she'd back out when the conference came, but she was actually looking forward to it. She found out, shortly after I gave her the ticket, that her husband had had an on-again, off-again sexual only affair. She, and I after hearing the details, believe it was a result of sexual addiction that had consumed him. He had cut the relationship off already and rid himself of all magazines, etc and agreed to wife-monitered computer access so he could beat this thing. He too is unsaved. And when you mentioned going thru trials on Friday, my BF felt you were directly talking to here. She also realizes that things happened in the time they did for a reason. They have also started going to a cowboy church and things are changing. I don't believe she has come to faith in God yet, but she is getting closer. You really spoke to her. Friday night and Saturday, she just kept telling me how real you were. And how funny you were. :) The two of you are peas in a pod. She's a hoot to be around. But she was really impressed with your authenticity. I hope to write you a personal letter with more info, but I wanted to leave this here on the blog in case anyone comes back to the Shreveport blog like I did. God brought me and her to the conference for a reason. And we were 4th row, in the stands, Friday night so we got to see you up close and personal. I can honestly give a big "Yahoo-jah!" shout out after that weekend. The Daniel study has renewed the flame within me and the conference was so dynamite. Beth, I am inspired by you and what God does through you. You are very real. I even had to laugh about your admitting your husband's struggles and that he still has overcome cussing. I had been going through personal struggles with who I thought my husband should be that weekend. But after that, I thought, if Beth Moore's husband still struggles with a sin like that, then I shouldn't be so hard on my husband. We're all human. It made me laugh and lighten up. God really blessed me, particularly through my best friend, that weekend. Thank you for being obedient to His calling.

In Christ,
Melody from Longview, TX
