We Converged!
I want to take a minute and thank all of you who were with us for Converge last Thursday night at the Berry Center. We're so glad you were there! In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, we were joined by special guests CeCe Winans and Travis Cottrell and his praise team for a night of worship and the Word. It was a wonderful evening and we were so blessed by you! Curtis was our emcee and at one point he asked the people who had never been to an LPM event (like Tuesday night Bible study) to raise their hands. We were thrilled by how many there were. It looked like half to me, but I could be wrong. What a great joy to be able to serve all of you in Jesus' name!
I've had so many sweet friends share with me what the Lord spoke to them that night through Beth's message. Ladies, isn't it awesome that we have a God who is active in our lives? Not just when we get to heaven, but NOW? We're believing Him to work in every person's life who attended and we're already praising Him for those testimonies.
A lot of my friends mentioned how neat the stage, lighting and video production were. We contracted some friends from Beth's Living Proof Live Events (which are done through LifeWay) to help us out with that. They do such an excellent job! It occurred to me that a lot of our girls in Houston have never attended a Living Proof Live event, and that's totally understandable because we get to study the Word together all the time here at home. But if you really enjoyed the energy and the quality of production of the event - not to mention Travis Cottrell and his awesome praise team - you should look into coming to a Living Proof Live conference in 2009. The conferences are like three sessions of what we did at Converge. Here is a link to the schedule. Our Houston girls will be closest to the El Paso and New Orleans events.
I'd also like our Houston girls to know that a new song from Travis' Christmas CD has just been added to KSBJ's Christmas rotation. The song is "Ring the Bells." It's one of my favorites. So if you call in and request it, they'll be able to play it now. If you hear it and love it (which you will!), stop by Travis' blog and let him know!
We hope many of you will join us this Spring for our Inheritance Bible Study at Houston's First Baptist Church. We get started on Tuesday, January 13. For more information, visit our Houston Connection page. See you then!
P.S. We're considering producing a product from the Converge event, but if we decide to do that it will be several months before it will be available for purchase. Thanks so much for your patience!

To all the sweet ladies at LPM!
Y'all did a more than FANTASTIC job. Everything was simply amazing!
I haven't even blogged about it yet, because I am still just pondering what was spoken over me that night. I felt like the message was just for me. God is so good! I know that He is working in my heart and I pray that this year is my year! :)
So, thank you ever so much for all of your HARD work. I know this wasn't a simple task for y'all to put on. I pray that He is working in other hearts, also. And I know He is by the amount of tears I saw that night!
Love you all to pieces and am so grateful for your ministry!
BIG HUGS and SEE YOU IN THE SPRING!! :)
Lindsee
I cannot wait for the next LPL event I WILL attend. My heart and my mind are in a better frame of mind now, I am getting to the place of needing the raw healing from my father in heaven.
Thank you LORD for your patience.

I so wished I lived in Houston, I heard it was AWESOME!! Marlo Haft
Wish I could have been there! I have been to an LPM event in Billings, just this past September, and it was AWESOME! I had never been really introduced to Beth Moore before, but since that conference, I've worked my way through several of her books, and am at the end of Stepping Up now. Don't know how I missed her before! So glad to hear about Converge, I look forward to video and details.
I was so blessed by this event!! Back in Sept. I felt very impressed to buy tickets. When I went on ticket servant there were 7 tickets left on a particular row and I thought perfect. Seven is a perfect number and I had no idea who I was going to ask but prayed that God would lead me to who needed to be there. The outcome was my mom-in-law a couple of co-workers, an old friend a new friend and another family member who had just been through a long ordeal. The point was they each heard something they needed to hear from God. The reactions were different from elation/joy to tears to solemn silence. But it was so evident that God spoke and I was so humbled to be a part of that. What He said to me was that I am not cursed. I could so identify with Beth's friend that she mentioned had a son with autism. I, too have a child with autism...a precious daughter. Blessed are we when what others receive naturally must come to us supernaturally through God. These words breathed such new life in my spirit. I have always felt and seen God work through this hard situation, but I cannot ever say honestly that I felt blessed or chosen by it. I will now. I am anxious to see how God can work through this shift in my attitude. Thanks again Living Proof and Beth for your faithful service.
I loved how this was a conference/Christmas celebration/girl-get-together/close to home event! Thanks for thinking of the home girls!!
Amanda,
Converge was wonderful, my mother and I drove in from central Louisiana for the night. And God spoke to us. I don't know why, but it still amazes me when God speaks so clearly thru his word.
This has been a rough year!! My mother had 2 of her brothers diagonised with the same type of cancer both at stage 4. We buried one of them 4 weeks ago and we are praying that the other one will make it till christmas.
What was so amazing about Beth's teaching, it was just what we needed to her. The one uncle that is still with us is not saved, has no desire to listen to anything about God. My mother's heart has been breaking, as well as the rest of the family as we pray in shifts for his salvation. God is faithful with our prayers and his timing is perfect.
So thank you living proof for being faithful with God's word. And blessing our hearts and such a difficult time.
Thank you Amanda. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to attend the Living Proof Live conference here in Portland, Or in April. Not sure if we can go yet or not but hoping!! I keep telling my husband that is all I want for my birthday since it is on that weekend that you are all here.
I also want to say what a blessing it has been for me since I have found this blog. God is so great and awesome.
And a Merry Christmas to you all.
Denise in Oregon
Any thoughts, ideas, plans to make on of the events (hint, Memphis) a Siesta Party like the one in August? Maybe I can do that one! Thanks, Jill
If I lived in Houston I'd be there! I really enjoyed your lessons on Inheritance at the San Antonio LPL Event.
Hey Nadine,
If you want to send us an email to blog@lproof.org, we'd be happy to help bring some clarity to what Beth meant by that point. I don't want to confuse our readers who weren't there to hear it in context.
Thanks!
Amanda
Hi Amanda,
It was one incredible night. I sent an e-mail to you all via LPM e-mail on the WOW experience of Converge. My husband came with and totally understands why I go to the Tuesday night study series. How amazing Travis and his team is and why Beth has been such an mentor to me and her teaching has taken me farther than I ever dreamed possible in my journey. I was so proud of Curtis and his emcee duties and proudly told my husband that was who I had just completed the LIT class with. The place was filled with Jesus Christ. The presentations were soooo powerful bringing home the true meaning of Christmas. It juts simply does not get better than that!I hope and pray there will be another Converge next year.
Thank you for brining this to us as it was an experience to treasure in the deepest places of our hearts.
Many blessings and thanks.
Much love,
Christine Roskamp

Converge was absolutely fabulous! Thank you all so, so much for all the hard work and dedication to making it such a wonderful event! I think I actually cried with excitement when CeCe Winans played the first song...it brought back such fun memories of dancing during Praise & Worship at Tuesday Night Bible Study. Travis was amazing of course, and Beth looked absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to January for Tuesday Night Bible Study!
Thank-you so much for letting us know how it went, Amanda. I prayed for the event and specifically that people who had never been to something like that before, would attend.
I think it should have been televised so all of us in the hinterland (ie. Wyoming) could enjoy it. Someday...it will be just like the Bob Hope Christmas specials of old....the "Travis and Beth and CeCe Christmas Special".

I am so looking forward to attending Deeper Still in Oklahoma City next December! You guys were so excited with your snow last week, today I woke up with 2 inches on the ground and it is still snowing. Looks like we will end up with 4 inches and since it won't be above freezing until at least 12/19 it will stay this week. I was driving to work this morning with the light snow falling and white everywhere. It reminded me so much how God makes us white as snow by forgiving us for our sins. Then as I drove and the sand mixed with the beautiful white snow was such a dirty mucky brown and no where as beautiful as the fresh fallen powder that had fallen, it reminded me how I feel when I have sinned against God and have not asked for forgiveness. God help me find those areas of my inner being that still need to be made white as snow. You are an awesome God who loves me far greater than I can imagine! Thanks to y'all at LPM for bringing this message anew to my heart. Jan in Kansas
Thank you LPM for Converge. It was awesome. Like others I haven't even blogged about it because I am still meditating on the message. God had a specific Word for me that night. Three co-workers from HFBC came with me and we were ministered to and we had a blast fellowshipping. Thank you for the hard work and the time it took to make Converge happen.
I just finished the Session 2 DVD of Believing God in which Beth was ecstatic because she got to meet CeCe Winans who was sitting behind her at a Women of Faith conference. It was so cool to immediately get on the Blog and find out that she was able to include CeCe in the worship at Converge. The copyright on my book is 2002, so I don't know if CeCe Winans has ever been a special guest before or not, but I think it is so awesome how God delights in giving us these special perks from time to time. It had to be a specific and unique treat for your mom! I'm on my 6th workbook, and every single one of them has been so amazingly helpful and intensely personal in my life. I pray that the Lord continues to bless all of you and shower you with more than you could possibly think or ask.

Oops, okay I realized that I posted under my husband's name (Matt).. It looked strange hearing a guy talk the way I would! I (Sara) went to the event in Billings, and it was awesome! Sorry, just had to correct that... don't want people thinking my husband's weird, although there were men at the conference... :)
Funny story...in October my husband came to me and said, "you know it's weird I'm still getting bills for the San Antonio event that you went to in August."
My reply... "No dear, that's for the tickets I just bought for the LPL event in Pittsburg next June."
If you have not been to one you must go! I promise you will hear a word from the Lord!! They are so amazing! ;o)
Kimberly
Praying that the Inheritance studies will become a study for all of us who don't live in Houston! Loved that the castle on the logo is Chambourd, in the Loire Valley in France. It has the most amazing staircase, created by Leonardo DaVinci, that any princess would have been happy to descend to come into the presence of the King.
Amanda,
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to thank all of you at LPM for "Converge"--it was an amazing evening!! CeCe was very good and of course, Travis' voice is still resonating in my heart! He did three of my favorite songs of his and I could hear them over and over....ok, I have the CD's but in person is much better!
Beth was right on for my husband & I that evening. I'm looking forward to hearing about something coming out of that lesson, it was a good one.
Have a great week!
Love & blessings,
Bobbie
Yes it is awesome that we have a God who is so active in our lives right now! I'm just bowled over with the many ways He chooses to show up and show out!
Thanks for sharing how you all were so blessed!
Amanda - In your post you mentioned KSBJ, so I hit the link, and have been playing it all day on my computer.
The wild thing is, I work in Laguna Niguel, CA. So it is kind of fun to hear about Houston weather and events and resturants.
(I love how the woman DJ prayed as she started her show - Amen)
I was there and was fully blessed. I brought 3 friends with me and it was new for all of them. Two I think never had left Louisiana before. So there was the snow on the drive over, shopping and lunch in Spring, all nighters in the hotel...They just kept commenting on how beautiful it was to be in a room with so many women of faith (and alot of men too). Worshiping and studying the Word together was awesome. What a blessed weekend!
I WOULD FREAK OUT if y'all did something from Converge and sold it!! I was considering trying to fly there...but that would have been over the top. =) CeCe and Travis ROCK!!
You know, last week I felt such urgency to pray about Converge.
Can't wait to hear some testimony about what God did there!
Praying that you are all well and rested!
Blessings
steph.
It was awesome! I had heard Beth speak on the same verses before, but I am in such a totally different point in my life...it touched me in a totally different way! I loved it!
Travis and CeCe were totally awesome! YES...very different from Tuesday nights at HFBC!
I wasn't able to be there. But Brandi, one of the wonderful siestas, agreed to email me her notes when she has a chance. :) Which is soo cool! I am soo looking fwd to reading them.
It was nice to see you and speak to you briefly, Amanda and meet your friend. Travis is very talented. The one song that I found speaking to me was, "Jesus Saves". Your Mom is always a blessing to hear. I did not get to hear Curtis :( because I was outside handing out the program and pens. I so enjoy volunteering! I love the feeling of being a part. Love, Allison
A quick shout out to Barbara and Shelly at Why Walk.....so fun to finally meet some fellow siestas! Counting down the days until Bible study begins in January!
Man, I just don't know where to start. I am so tired and I have not checked the computer all day, but I have to comment on Converge (I have been waiting on a post).
I just want to say that the entire coming together was awesome. I got to meet two siestas at the CeCe table. One of the sweet security guards kept messing with me...she was really funny. My daughter, the fiercely independent, pull your hair out child, behaved herself. My husband and son loved it. Everything was so good, words cannot describe.
For me, the best part was God speaking through Beth. That is always my deal maker/breaker with anything. Of course, I knew it would be good. Beth, you are annointed and I have never heard anything questionable come out of your mouth. Everytime I have heard you speak, there is NO DOUBT that God is speaking through you. I have that discernment, as all Christians do, and I know Him when I hear Him. Plus, I totally get you. I loved when you said something about being weird. Everyone tells me I'm weird, except for my extended family because we are all weird and quirky. We get each other. My husband tells me that and I remind him that he wanted to marry me.
I don't want to take up the entire blog space, but I do want to make a couple of comments about what God used you to say. I am so glad that the point about depression/sadness at Christmas was brought up. Thank God! Soooo many people are so hurting this time of the year, more than usual and NO ONE talks about it!
I have to be honest and I do feel ashamed to admit that for several years, the only joy that I've gotten out of Christmas is my children. Even that, I have to force and fake-it sometimes. It was wonderful for me in childhood b/c it was one time when everything seemed okay, actually, really good.
All of the points you made were excellent, true and Biblical. That night, I was very bothered b/c I could not put my finger on why I am disappointed. I kept raking my mind. I thought "I am over the childhood stuff, I've been delivered, I have nothing serious going on now, etc. etc." I am a very optimistic/survivor type of person. I have thick skin and I thought "What in the world." I knew it was something b/c I do feel sad/disappointed at Christmas. That, I could not ignore and I knew you were right.
Finally, it came to me that I have been hurting over wasted lives. Most of my family does not know Christ. The thought of them not going to heaven is unbearable, the thought of them going to hell is beyond words painful. I can't even describe it in words.
I wasted a lot of my life, but I try not to dwell on my mistakes because they are a blessing now. I can help others b/c I've been delivered of one stronghold that you mentioned, addiction. It is ravaging.
I guess at Christmas I think about how short life is, although I know it all the time. I am so grateful that I came to know Christ at the age of 27, April 2002. I am still young. I look at the people I love and I am not giving up hope, not even close. I just hate to see people wasting their lives. This is also the time of year when I miss my loved ones who have left this earth more than usual. My grandmother has been in heaven a little over two years and I want to call her up so bad, sometimes I can't stand it. I think of her voice and I just want to call her. I know that someday soon I will join her b/c life here is short. The last words she said to me while I was bawling my eyes out were "Don't worry, it's not forever." She stared at me straight in the eye and calmly said that. She said "we are not going to do this," meaning cry. She could not wait to go home.
Obviously us believers waste our lives/days,whatever, too. I am definitely not cynical. I love church, I don't let people get to me, I pray for people and I always need prayer. Whatever issues people have, I've got plenty enough of my own, who I am to judge, good gravy!!! We are supposed to lift each other up, not criticize or judge.
When I was in treatment, they made us listen to a song called by Neil Diamond called "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother." I never thought I would buy a Neil Diamond CD, but that song means a lot now. It played while God was healing me and I didn't even know what I was in for, couldn't imagine.
So, Beth, I have taken my disappointment to the altar. I don't need no Christian apologetics, actually, they are over my head. I just look in the mirror and I should not be here, my family should not be together, I should not be blogging or even know who you are.
I pray that my loved lost ones and the many people in this world that are lost come to know Jesus. Not only to go to heaven, but to have a purposeful life here on earth. Like Dr. Young said, "to take us on the ride of our lives." Even on my worst days, when I want to throw my iron skillet across the room, I stop and kind of laugh/cry b/c I think I don't want to drink! No desire! I know I won't be complete until I leave this place, but to be released of a stronghold is just crazy wonderful!
I intend to worship Christ and celebrate His birth with a WHOLE HEART this Christmas. Something that would not have happened if I had not come to Converge, so THANK YOU! I did not just hear your words, I am applying them, I believe them. I am ever-changing and I changed after Converge. I hope you do make some kind of something, because I like to go back and listen to things over and over.
I have been reading Ruth Bell Graham's "Prodigals and Those Who Love Them." How fitting with having lost loved ones. She is someone I can't wait to meet in heaven. Her words have touched me deeply. I love what her tombstone says "End of Construction, Thanks for your Patience." She called death her launching pad. We should all be witnessing and looking forward to the day we go home. Now, we should be celebrating the birth of our beloved, precious Savior.
Now I know this is the longest post I will ever write, but I had to say it. I have already been enjoying my family, listening to wonderful Christmas songs and habitually watching "Felicity-An American Girl Adventure." I think I like it better than Samantha. It was hard for me to say that.
I love you all. I am so glad that I started writing on the blog, b/c I have followed it since the beginning.
Beth, thank you. And I cannot comment on the music or amazing pictures because, well, I would have to write just as much as I just did. Enough said. Travis and CeCe were insanely good, still doesn't describe it.
The evening was beyond words! I drove in from East Texas and got home around 2:30AM. It was so worth it!! Thank you for giving so much effort and resources to make it such a special event for all of us. The Lord truly did make Himself known. Travis is not a performer, but an amazing leader of worship. Such anointing...
Much love and blessings to all the LPM gang,
Paulette from East Texas
Well, I'm so glad to hear that Converge went well. I can't imagine that it wouldn't have been Spirit filled with the powerhouse of folks you had on the ticket!!
And yes, isn't it great that we have a God that is personally involved with each of us--that we can get a fresh Word just for us. Still blows my mind every time I think of it.
Anyway, I'm praying that you do put out a DVD of the event so others who are at distance like me can get their own Word.
Much love,
~Cheryl

My best friend and I attended Converge. We are both 40, and never been married- but both desparately want to be! We had dinner before Converge and talked about WHY God had not answered our prayers of 15(+) years for a husband!:o( And then lo and behold, Beth talks about that some just a few hours later!! And that our prayers HAD been heard!!!! WOW! It jus helped hearing that message. We both had tears in our eyes. I guess it seems harder during the holidays, and being alone is more apparent.
For the ladies who are blessed with a husband, please enjoy every minute with them!! (Do it for us single sietas! :o)

Single in Houston
Great Job LPM!!! I had such a wonderful time at Converge!!! I brought my husband with me. This was his first LPM event and first time to ever hear Beth speak. He was blown away!!!!! He loved it and said that he would like to attend an LPM weekend with me next year. PTL!!! He said he know understands the excitement that I come home with from a weekend with LPM. He loved the worship and thought that Travis and the crew were just awesome. He wanted to buy Travis' cd's and I had to stop him. We have them all already!! He came home and went through the cds to find them. Anyhow, thanks for a great treat during the Christmas season. This was a great tool to get my focus back on God and take it off of the everday hussle and bussle of this busy season. Love to all & Merry Christmas!!!
Oh! How I wish I could have been there... Believe me, I went through some scenarios in my head on how to be there and be back to MN on Saturday. All my SIL and step-MIL are in Houston area. It would have been great to share this event with them.
Maybe you can have a DVD available by next Christmas that we can share with our groups. It would be wonderful to share with my study group during our Christmas Celebration and Brunch.
Merry Christmas,
Mary Ann, a MN Siesta
To all you sweet ladies -
I have been reading this blog for months but have never left a comment.
I have been so blessed reading each post and the comments left by all the ladies. It amazes me that some days I am reading exactly what I needed to hear from God right here on this blog!
Thank you and Praise Him!
I really enjoyed the lesson, especially when Beth talked about what it must have been like for Elizabeth as she waited for proof of her pregnancy. I'm currently in my twelfth week of pregnancy and can't imagine what it would be like to wait for five months to see clear evidence! Or to have to deal with morning sickness at that age. Ugh.
Amanda,
Thank you so much for letting us know how Converge went! I so wish that I could've come...but a trip from Raleigh, NC especially this time of year was out of the question! But I was praying and am so glad that God was glorified and that the Body was edified! Praise the Lord.
Also, what an exciting study the Houston group will begin in this spring. If its anything like the Inheritance messages that Beth brough at the LPL in San Antonio, your girls will be richly blessed. Not a week goes by that I don't recall what she said about our home in heaven and the inheritance that is ours! Thank you Jesus!
Love you all so much- I praise the Lord for technology and how it has connected us all. May each and every one of you have a very Merry Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of Christ!
Tara
Wish I lived closer so I could have come. I just know it was an AWESOME event.
To Barabara of the loooooong post of 12/16. What can I say, loved reading it and wish I could have run into you at Converage. Thank you for sharing that. I read every single word skipping over nothing. I could feel your heart in your words as though you were sitting right across from me. I know how you felt about Converge and how it hit our men to now truly understand. My husband may even show up to The Inheritence study in January. Again, Barbara, thank you for sharing your heart with utter transparancy and thank you LPM for everything you give to us in person and in Siestaville as words will never be enough for our gratitude. :o)
Much love and many blessings,

Converge was blessed!!! That is awesome that He is active in our lives now. Every one of His own's lives. He has time for all of us...more than enough of Him for all of us...that's a blessing for sure that Travis' song is on the radio:)...That inheritance study sounds like a great study, you Houstown girls take advantage of that:)...Oooo, ok, a Converge event product? Angela in Redmond, Wa
Beth,
I am giving you a gift that I think you'll love as much as I do. This is a Chrsitmas poem I read to my children and I thought you may like for your grandbabies.
"A Child's Questions"
Have you been to Bethlehem
Did you see the babe?
Warmly wrapped in swaddling clothes
And in a manger laid?
Mama said His mother sang
A soft, sweet lullaby
And angels joined in chorus
From far up in the sky.
Did you hear the angels singing?
Heavens bells ring in the morn?
Sister said God planned it thus
Because His Son was born.
The cattle and the sheep were there
For He was in a shed,
The inn in Bethlehem was full
So a manger was His bed.
But brother said He liked it there
Cradled in the hay,
And shepherds came to worship Him
On that first Christmas day.
Have you been to Bethlehem
Did you see the star?
Papa said it guided wise men
From their home afar.
They brought their gifts most precious
And at His feet they laid,
And bowed in awe and reverence
To this most holy babe.
I would like to go to Bethlehem
And baby Jesus see
For preachers said that when a man
He died for you and me.
I would like to kiss His dimpled hand
Where later nails were driven,
And then I want to go someday
To live with Him in heaven.
By Grandma Bush
I can't wait for your "P.S." to be available! I look forward to it! It sounds like a divinely annointed and appointed gathering! I love your ministry & pray for it every week! You all are dear to me! Love, Dee
I went to "Converge" with 2 sisters from Lake Charles, LA. It wasn't an easy task for any of us, LOTS of traffic...a goofy GPS and of course our precious, high-maintenance families could hardly imagine 24 hours without us (Praise God!)! It was sooooo worth it! The music blessed my soul...oh, it blessed me to hear Travis sing Christmas Carols. CeCe is beautiful and her voice is so sweet....our Praise and Worship surely blessed HIM; what a joy it was to be there!
My FAVORITE part in the media presented was the video of the star above the earth....tears streamed down my face when I saw that star, the North Star, His Star!
Beth, the lesson was one I am still using. I haven't cancelled any prayers yet and am so blessed to know ALL of my prayers are in front of the ONE who will never disappoint. Your jacket was outrageously cute! Your are a treasure and I thank you for your faithfulness!
God is so good to let you spend a whole breakfast with such noble Christian leaders as The Dobsons and LaHaye's. He knows exactly how to keep us going; I am encouraged by what you shared about your time with them. Merry Christmas to you and all of the LP soldiers!
Jackie
It was a great night and done so well! I went with some great friends (Thanks Lindsee!) and we had a great time. Thanks for all you do ladies, I would love to come volunteer and help you sista's out sometime. Looking forward to what God has for me this Spring at bible study. CAN'T WAIT!!!
Dana
Okay....I read the title as "We Converted!"
I was like "No!!!"
Ha ha ha...
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love Ring the Bells. Love. It.
I wish I could have been there.
Dearest Barbara,
Girlfriend, that letter-comment was profound. One of those rare long ones that you can't help but read. You have an incredible way of expressing your heart, Barbara. Very honest yet very inviting. It is obvious to all of us that God is with you. I'm thinking this coming year is going to hold something very important for you. Something very redemptive. Be on the lookout, Sweet Thing. You blessed all of us so much.
Converge was awesome~what a great way to really kick off the Christmas season! Mom and I really enjoyed our night out together. (I've already made a list of old prayers I need to retract! :0)
Wow, thanks for the comments. I really did not expect any response to my post. I feel very humbled. I just wanted to testify about what I learned, experienced and took home from Converge! To Christine and Beth, THANK YOU FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT! You have warmed my heart tonight and definitely made me want to truly search and be on the lookout for what God has in store.
Also, to the anonymous siesta that mentioned her precious daughter with autism. My heart goes out to you and I will pray for you and your family. This could be a stretch, but we may have been sitting right behind you, I mean I could have been right smack behind you. As Beth mentioned autism, a woman in front of my husband reached over and rubbed her friend's shoulders sitting right in front of me. I teared up, my heart felt it. I don't know, we were in the A section, row M (I think).
Thanks again for the wonderful encouragement. We all need it!
Love you all!
Beth isn't coming to any cities in SC or NC in 2009! :( I was really hoping she was! She came to Columbia, SC (1 hour from me) a couple of years ago and I was jumping up and down on the fourth row!! I've also seen her in Charlotte, NC, a couple of times. Oh well...I know I need to share her and Travis with the rest of the country, but I ain't happy about it! ;)
That's it..I'm moving to Houston.
(Drama Queen here!) Heehee.
p.s. Tell Beth...2010 to SC or BUST! :)
Love,
Missy in SC
Makes me wanna move to Houston!!! But...I'm not sure how my hair would take to the humidity....if it got any bigger it would be close to being a "stair way to heaven."
KERI,
Right back at ya'! It was so good to meet you. I keep changing my picture. I have my hair short now.
Hope to see you at another event in the future!
Barbara
Hi again Barbara,
I second Beths comments and reiterate mine to you. If at anytime you may attend The Inheritance study up and coming I would certainly welcome meeting you there. You are blessed and it is truly apparent God is circling the spiritual wagons around you. You ain't seen nothin' yet! :o)
You have truly also seen how valuable Siestaville is for our spiritual well being. Thank you Amanda for spearheading Gods calling for this blogsite and Beth, oh Beth, what can any of us Siestas' ever say about you that hasn't been said already.
Love you Barbara and all of you at LPM!!!!
Many Blessings,
Christine Roskamp
Houston Siesta :o)
Dear Christine,
I don't know if I'll be at The Inheritance study. I would so LOVE to come and be a part of it, but I don't know if I can right now.
I am having to work closely with my son every evening because of many reasons. My daughter is entering into teenage-hood and she is needing me so much right now.
We will see though. Maybe I can work it out one night a week. I will leave it up to God with the timing and everything.
I am almost finished with school so it is going to get intense. I did not finish the first time b/c I was too self-destructive and we have moved several times, so it has been a struggle to get finished. I took this semester off. I thank God that I am almost finished!
Anyhow, I would love to meet you or any of the siestas. It sounds like you live closer or in downtown Houston, I live in Katy. This country girl from WV loves to come into the city, but I had to live in a quiet neighborhood that is about as country as one can get without going too far.
If there is a place you would like to meet for coffee or something, let me know. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I love tea and Coke is my favorite. I think we could go anywhere and get a cup of something we both like (smile).
Seriously, it is up to you. I would be willing to meet somewhere, but I know we are all busy and it might be uncomfortable for you to meet someone that you don't really know. I truly understand that and would not be hurt at all if we can't meet up. I am making friends at church. We joined Second Baptist after visiting for several months. I LOVE it there and the people.
Okay, here is my email. barbshrewsbury@comcast.net if you want to chat.
Thanks and I don't know what any of the email signs mean?? I need to look that up. :), 0:), it is like foreign language to me.
Hi Barbara,
Just sent you an e-mail. Can't wait to meet up with you.
Later Gater!

P.S. Amanda, Beth and LPM thanks for a vehicle with this blog site to make this happen to be able to support one another and get face to face all because of our Lord.
