Thank you Siesta Mama for the blessing over us, and I do want to say that I feel your pain when we have to retire our favorite pair of Jeans....Oh I know your pain!

The fact that they still fit after 5 years is a reason for joy, my friend! Give them a good burial. It's hard to find a good pair of jeans and ones that hang with the changes of "shifting" seasons.

I knew this one was stirring up my soul. God brought you into my thoughts to pray for you and this event at the strangest times. The beginning and towards the end were HUGE battles.
It has truly been an honor to fight facedown for you, your team and those captives He sets free. He is a Mighty Warrior for His own. How Great Is Our God!

Beth and all:

It was MY pleasure entirely to have had the opportunity to lift you up in prayer. You have been such a blessing to me and my prayers were that God's provisions be made abundantly clear to provide the way for you to bless countless others. Thank you for allowing me personally to help by being a miniscule fraction of the concerted efforts to finish the "Breaking Free" tapings. Be blessed and be well!

GOD IS SO GOOD! :o)

I have faith that you WILL find a new favorite pair of jeans I am sure. I am so glad that you felt the prayers over you with all of your stress lately. I was on some steroids to help with some swelling after back surgery and sure enough I was up at 3 A.M. (because those darn things cause me not to sleep at night)praying then and you can be sure that you are always in them. Love all that you do dear Beth.

Thank you for all that you do to further the kingdom of Christ! And what a kingdom of Siestas it is! I personally can attest to the power that is in Breaking Free since I read the book this summer and I also have the Day by Day I tell you it is good. Our God is so good and thank you Jesus for setting us FREE and placing our feet on the Rock of all ages! You are worthy of praise dear Jesus and thank you Dear God for sending Beth too us and letting her minister to our needs. Praise YOU FATHER, Praise the Son, Praise the Spirit 3 in 1!
Beth, thank you for making us smile and laugh I really needed that today and what a inspiration you are to each of us and a light to this world that points straight to the feet of JESUS! Saviour and KING!
I also feel you pain over a good pair of jeans! Don't jeans just make you feel comfy and down home ready to kick up something! Hopefully you can spot you a new pair maybe even on sale and get them worked in! :)
Blessings from a girl in SW MO!

P.S. I just got the book "The Shack" yesterday and have it half read, I am dying to read the rest tonight. What a interesting book and a real eye opener to the wondrousness of our AWESOME GOD.

Hi Siesta Beth,

[Sorry to make this so long, Y'all, but I just can't help it. The prayer section is so important to me!]

It is my privilege to pray for you and your ministry !

God had me busy over this past week, praying over Y'all this time, just because the Holy Spirit was pressing on me, at my "prayer time", which was 10 p.m. However, there were so many times when I just felt Him hovering over me "telling me" to stop what I was doing right that minute, and pray for the Breaking Free tapings, and the intros and outros, etc. I had no idea why He needed for me to pray for you and your team, yet I knew that the Enemy must have "been on the move" down there.

And, I know what your first Breaking Free study did for me ... God used it in my life SO much ! The Holy Spirit made me work so very hard during those first 3 weeks, studying His Word with Himself with your sweet self [Beth] being my "fellow sojourner" and "guide" made this new Bible student want to learn about God and His Word. But, I realized that I needed to learn about myself, too. And, by the end of the 3rd or 4th week of studying, I knew that "something" was missing in my life, and it wasn't my family [who lived here in Wisconsin then, too].

And, shortly thereafter, I found sweet salvation in Christ Jesus !!!

And, I had purchased the Beloved Disciple music cd prior to that time, and I finally figured out what most of the songs were talking about; especially one called "Saved to Worship"... And, whenever I listen to it, or the song "God of Wonders" on the radio, or otherwise, my hands just go up in worship of my precious Lord and Savior, Jesus. However, that doesn't work so well when I am driving the car; so I literally have to either turn the song off, or ask the Lord to help me stay focused on driving safely.

Love, in Christ Jesus,

Jennifer O.
Southern Wisconsin
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Prayers ~~

Thank You dear Jesus, for helping Miss Beth write and pour Your Love and Your Spirit through her to work in my life the way that You did in the first Breaking Free study. And, I thank You for whatever it is that You must have done through this second BF study !!!

We Love You so much, O Lord! We praise Your Most Holy Name! I so want to praise You for my new life in Christ, Father God! It has been a "roller coaster of faith", with me holding on with everything that is in me at times, but I have felt Jesus' presence within me throughout every teeny tiny hardship, and have been trying me very best to "praise You through the storms" of life... Thank You for helping me know that my dear Dad IS in Heaven with You, and that I can now be sure that I WILL see him up in Heaven again someday, by the power of Your blood and grace that You have poured into me through my teeny tiny mustard seed of faith...

And, I personally thank You for being my Comforter and Prince of Peace over these past several months since You walked my dear Daddy Home to be with You and Father God~

I want to ask a special blessing over Miss Beth and her team [each and every one of them- You know who they are, Father]... Please bring them all a great sense of peace and joy with this great accomplishment in Your Name. But, I want to ask You to please cover them all with Your most precious LOVE, and bless them for all of their hard work. And, last, but not least, O God, please grant each one of them a bunch of "Sabbath Rest" now, so that they may be refreshed by You, and Your precious Word, and literal sleep, as well.

In Jesus' Name, I pray these things, Amen

Read this in The One and Only devotional journal today. . .

Luke 11:22-23 When a strong man, fully armed, guards his estate, his possessions are secure. But when one stronger than he attacks and overpowers him, he takes from him all his weapons he trusted in, and divides up his plunder.

no weapon forged against that taping prevailed amen! It was so wonderful. I had been struggling in some particular areas and when I came back home from the taping the Lord had done a now work and changed my want to. It was only Him. Praise be to our Rock!! Thank you for being a vessel that God has used to point me to Jesus. I share in your "irritation" but not "tribulation" over those jeans. If I weren't in the Spirit I might think it was a "tribulation."

You have taught us through your lessons that we can have faith during times in which the enemy is seeking to destroy us and our intents! You have shown by example and with love that when we come together to pray for one another, God not only hears us, but He makes things happen. You're influence and love for all of us siestas is a blessing... and sometimes hearing your love might be the only love we hear that day. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we'll always pray for you... when you're asking and when you're not. We love you!

Dearest Beth,

Thank you for the "in person" expression of thanks! But honestly, I feel like I should be the one thanking YOU. It was nothing short of the privilege of a lifetime to pray for you as you taped the new "Breaking Free" sessions! I just finished your first "Breaking Free" study today, and cannot WAIT to do the new one!

I had a dream last night that I was in a Bible Study that you were leading. We were in someone's living room and it was only about fifteen of us. I know that because of the magnificent expanse of your ministry, this will probably never be possible in this lifetime. But when I woke up this morning, I thought, "Well, maybe someday in Heaven, we'll get to have small-group Bible Study with Beth and be able to really shoot the breeze with one another!" And coolest of all, Jesus will be right there with us...

Thanking God Upon Each Remembrance of You,

Let us give thanks with the psalmist:

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Being there in New Orleans was one of the best weeks of my life. I can't wait to do the study next year with my ladies class. I had my birthday last week on Thursday and I sat on the right hand side where you went in and out. I know you hugged a ton of people, but you also hugged me on my birthday because my dear friend Sandy worked hard to get that seat for us. I love the way God uses you and it was a blessing and a privilege to be there and witness it first hand.
I will continue to pray for you and your precious family.

Okay, I just want to keep it real. I was reading through my morning list of posts while drying my hair when I came across this post and found myself at a crossroads:

"Do I pause to watch the video during PRIME hair drying time?"

I mean, I think we all know that if you delay the drying during certain critical moments in the hair shaping process, it can ruin the entire thing. I'm not being funny -- bad hair days are nothing to joke around about.

But then, I was like "WHAT, SELF? WHAT?!? You lay down your blow dryer and you press play."

And I'm very glad I did. Very, very glad.

Now, back to my hair.

P.S. Was laughing the other day... I have a group of about 11 girls we are doing Stepping Up and the batteries were dead in the DVD remote (and I had to use it to move the little line from under session 5 to session 6) searched the church and all I could find were dead batteries lying around empty remotes... I remembered praying for you all to get electricity back on for the last session so I was like God this is our last session and I just started praying... and combining different dead batteries... and God gave those dead batteries just enough juice! YEAH praise you Lord... you care about the details : )

It's too bad you don't live near me and then my mother could just fix your jeans. She is amazing when it comes to making those worn out items usable for quite a while longer.

Galatians 2:20
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Thank God for "Breaking Free" Your chapter on women who are barren touched me in ways I can't express. Glad to hear the prayers helped. love you

No matter how trivial the loss of your favorite jeans may seem, we all understand that kind of frustration! I've been anxiously awaiting your initial post after the taping last week. I know I've said it already, but the Lord did a mighty work in my heart and life! I mean a MIGHTY one!! I have begun praying face down in the mornings before I start my devotions and OH what a change in my prayer life!!! "I love you too" has revolutionized how I deal with one of my areas of bondage. I could go on and on and on. Thank you again for being a humble, willing servant of the Most High! Much love...

Praise Him! He hears our prayers. I am so glad to hear that the enemy's schemes did not work. God was glorified and His message was clear.

It was an honor to pray for you, the team and for the women attending last week.

Citzens of Humanity...sigh...I had a pair and they felt so wonderful...and then I grew,..and they didn't quite feel "modest" except with a very long top/sweater/shirt.

Then the day came where they had to leave and go to a younger and thinner siesta that I was mentoring.

I miss them :-)....but perhaps one day I will get another pair..and not a much too bigger size.

You are darlin' :-)
Love you,

I must confess I signed up to pray 3 times a day but God had other plans - He often would wake me at 2,3, or 4 AM to pray and sometimes I would not know who I was praying for or why - what a blessing, an honor, and a true joy for He knew and that is more than enough!!!

Beth, wow, praying for your ministry is a privilege. Thank you, dear sister in Christ! We are inspired by your courage and willingness to do our Lord's work. Your personal witness of freedom through the power of God, puts a visible "word" in our lives. When you read the blessing, my heart stopped and tears filled my eyes- I face what appears to be an unexpected financial disaster and an end to a direction I thought was my work(not professional but using my gifts in a volunteer format) for our Lord. I continue to receive verses during my quiet time and even prophetic "words" from unexpected messagers of God that promise abundance rather than lack. As I search my heart for any repentance necessary and fall on face in front of our Lord with petitions,I beg God to sell my home. I have sold my personal "treasures"- which are only "things" but represented a life time of wonderful memories-Your blessing this morning from Is. 61 along with Isaiah 54 and II Cor. 9:11 which were given to me- continue to open a crack to the door of hope. Forgive the long comment-there's no need to post it, it feels like a prayer of sorts to write. Great Blessings to you and yours, this Thanksgiving- please know it is a gift to feel an extra encouragement from our Lord through your message. We need to remember how important it is to allow Christ's love to flow through each of us to encourage one another.

Thank you, Beth, for the blessing over us. The Lord woke me up several times to pray for you at different times. Now, I know why. It is always a pleasure to pray for you, your family and your staff. Thanks for giving us the opportunity.

Love you,

Beth,

I'm turning my prayers from intercessory to praise over your Breaking Free tapings. God continues to use your life and message to help me break free from lifelong condemnation from an older sister. Who would think that would be bondage? It took me years to realize it, but it is bondage. People who place blame, even false blame, and who always play the "victim" spread irreparable guilt and blame on everyone around them. Am I making sense ... hard to explain such a scenario? Praise God for freedom from such bondage!!

Have a glorious feast of Thanksgiving with your sweet family. We'll be praising our Father here in Atlanta!!

Miss Beth, thank you for staying connected. I know you've mentioned several times that one of the hardest things in this season has been the loss of face to face with women, but you have still managed to maintain a bit of it, "screen to screen" as you say. We do pray for you, we are thankful for the purposeful effectiveness of your ministry, and we will continue to pray. May you be comforted in the passing of your jeans, that you in turn may comfort others in the passing of theirs.

Oh Mama Beth, I recieve the blessing you spoke
Praise His Name, by prayer, the enemy during the taping, did choke
I'm so sorry about your favorite jeans
Fashion can be so mean
Oh, I recieve the Scripture spoken over me
My heart's been aching, tears have been falling
Because I've been fighting His will and stalling
I'll take a double portion instead of shame
Whatever You want me to do Lord, I'll go in Your name
I'll trade in my disgrace to rejoice
I'll listen Lord, I will be Your voice
A double portion of everlasting joy
My tears to laughter - oh boy!
I want and recieve a double portion as I step into my calling
Praise You Father, You are able to keep me from falling.

I have a quick story. I was off with my family today and my man was out of town hunting as usual. And I was so offended that he had not called me and it was 3:30 pm. So, I worked myself up...I chalked it up to the fact that he didn't care about me, that I was last on his list, and etc. He sent me a sweet text message and I was like dude thanks for thinking of me and sending a text. I sat in the bathroom floor and bawled my eyes out over my hurt feelings. Then, I realized I had not listened all the way through the intro of Esther. I got to the end where you talked about how it is tough being a woman with our hormones...and I was relieved because that was my deal today!! Give me five!!!
I couldn't get over how irrational I was all over my hormones. Bawling because I did not get a phone call. irritation....not a tribulation right! but my hormones sure made it feel like a tribulation. IT IS TOUGH BEING A WOMAN!!!

What a sweet message--and thanks so much for the blessing. Our little women's Bible study group just completed Breaking Free and we experienced first hand the enemy coming against each and every member. I know how he must have wanted to stop the re-taping of it! But our Great God prevailed and there are 4 women in our church who have been set free. Praise be to God!! (sadly we started with 8 but for one reason or another 4 dropped out--again the enemy at work!!)

I don't want this to get too long, but I have to tell you how God chose to end our study on a Most High note. Throughout the weeks of our study, we had been praying for the child that one of our member's granddaughter was expecting. The doctors had told her that her baby had some really serious problems and there was little hope for the baby's survival. In fact, aborting the pregnancy was an option which the parents simply refused to consider. Much prayer went up for that child! Well, I'll have you know that the night before our closing session, Payton Alyssa was born and can I tell you: SHE WAS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!!!! We were so delighted and overjoyed by our
Great God's display of His awesome power and love. We couldn't help but feel that He had timed that miracle just for us! Oh, how we love Him!!!

Dang.

I do believe you really mean that.

;-)

What a privilege we have to partner together and watch God's spirit swing His sword and break the chains that hold many.

I pray His HUGEST blessing over the re-release of that study. For your glory, Holy One.

Of course! We will continue to pray for you, sweet Siesta Mama.

Good thing we were praying, too. Those were very cute jeans. And cute jeans look so much cuter on freed captives, don't you think??

In Him, and in laughing love,

Hi Beth,

Just saw an answer to save your jeans.....Billy Mays commercial for Mighty Mend It. One of the examples of everything, it appears, to mend in the entire universe are clothing rips in in areas such as yours. Do I hear an Amen for Mighty Mend It? I am sure it is only $19.95. Such a deal of the salvation and restoration for your favorite pair. :o) Just thought I'd pass it along.

Much love and many blessings,

What a great way to start a Monday!!

My 6 year old daughter is home from school sick today. She just watched this video with me and said, "Mom, is that woman the boss of you?" (Don't ask. Who knows the minds of wee ones?)

And I said, "I guess after Jesus and in a very loose spiritually speaking sort of way, yes, she is."

So Boss, just know the prayers haven't stopped and the love you just sent out is returned a thousand fold...:))

So, thanks Mama Siesta and Happy Thanksgiving to you, Amanda, Melissa and all the First Dudes, plus Amanda's little Dude & Dudette! We love you up here in the Last Frontier. Hugs 2 all, Jax

Praise God for victory over troubles. Thank you for blessing us with that word. May all of the truth revealed in that series impact the not just America, but the world for God's glory in setting the captives free.

And I am sorry for your loss of your jeans. I too have my favorite jeans and it saddens me to think of when they might be no longer in service.

I just don't have the words to say how much that blessing meant to me today......I needed it so much!:)

It was a privledge to pray for you...I do every day, always thanking my Lord for you, but it was a special honor to do it for the re-taping of "Breaking Free". That study had a profound, I mean profound and lasting effect in my life.....I had so much to "break free" from. I also wanted to share a testimony that as I committed to pray for you during this week, the Lord brought liberty to me once again in an area of bondage that I have struggled with for seven years. Oh Praise His Name. I Believe God Can Do What He Says He Can!! Sometimes it just takes our joining Him through the act of Obedience.

I love you Beth!
