Almost Mountain Time!
Next week our clan will be heading to the mountains for Thanksgiving. We will all be dressed something like this, except with pants.

Jackson isn't thrilled with his new jacket, but he's handling it better than last year.

On a completely different note, one of our siestas compiled a list of all our aerobic praise recommendations. I have posted the list as one enormous comment under that post. (It's the last comment.) Thanks so much, Sunny!

AJ - He is ENTIRELY too cute. I hope y'all have a glorious Thanksgiving...we have SO much to be thankful for don't we? Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I really enjoyed Beth's post from this past weekend, the beach ball to the head...how funny! Big holiday hugs to my favorite Moore family!

Enjoy the mountains with your family. Jackson, will probably love his coat up there. I have a secret place in the mountains of SW Colorado I praise the Lord. My family and I used to travel there every year in the summer. I was blessed and able to go there this summer.
I pray we all remember to really thank the Lord for our country and pray for the USA as we celebrate next week.
And one last Thanksgiving note- Gig'em! Annette

Oh my goodness!! I am laughing so hard at that picture. ;)
My oldest treasure is a very reserved, quiet, almost 8yo daughter and then we were blessed w/a rowdy, "doesn't know a stranger" little guy who's almost 4. Those pictures of Jackson so remind me of Eli.
Thanks for the giggle!
Jackson is so cute. That looks like mine when they had to wear a coat, socks, shoes. They did not like winter apperal. They are 17,15 and 9 and still do not like coats they were hoodies. Jackson is just adorable. I wish you and your Family a Blessed Thanksgiving.
Lets all be thankful for what are Lord and SAVOR has done for us and continues to do.
Love
Cindy
love the boots!!!
Love it! One of my great joys is finding the perfect winter hats for my three little boys! This hat is too precious!
Oh, poor guy! I can't stand it when kids cry! Actually, I can't stand it when anyone cries. In my recovery group we're not allowed to touch anyone when they cry and it is almost more than I can handle. (I've broken that rule a couple of times. I just couldn't stand it.) We dress like that all winter where I live. I prefer it that way.
Pray for my grandpa Ray. He seems to be getting depressed as he is about to spend the holidays without his wife of 64 years for the first time. He also has some sort of cancer on his chest. They're not removing it and they're not doing chemo or radiation. At least not yet. They are giving him some sort of pills. My grandma passed away suddenly on September 1st, so it hasn't been long at all.
Amanda, Jackson is soooo stinking cute!!! I just want to eat him up every time you post a new pic!! Haha!!
Kathryn :)
Oh my goodness He is completely adorable. Love the boots, love the coat, and love those little chubby bare legs. So cute!
Oh AJ..what a cutie..I pray your thanksgiving is filled with love and joy. We have much to be thankful for as God so richly blesses us.
love to you all
Enjoy the mountains, Family! We pray many blessings on your time.
Love,
holly
PS Photos?? I love me some mountain photos--with people in front of them preferably! :)
YEAH I love it! I am digging the boots. Jackson sure has style!! :) I wonder where he gets it!
Enjoy the mountains!!
LOVE the naked legs picture! I was chuckling at that until I saw last years photo. Now I'm laughing...hard. So funny. Poor little guy was bound and immoblized!!
Have a great Thanksgiving.
steph.
I LOVE HIM! AJ is the sweetest in his Gap coat and hat.
This is the year... the one where they are mobile and it is conceivable to believe they can be outside playing in the snow and the sort. (Obviously when you are AWAY from TX that is.)
The one where,as moms, we have to gear up to to get their under armour on, their shirts, pants, socks, boots, jackets, mittens, hats, chap stick, etc... only to shoo them into the snow with Daddy whilst we make hot cocoa only to realize that the marshmallows aren't even in the cup yet and the child is back in the mud room needing help to take off their hat, mittens, boots, socks, shirt, pants, underarmor etc because they have to go to the bathroom.
NICE!
ENJOY YOUR TIME AWAY WITH THE FAMILY.
What a man!!! I love his jacket! He'll be the cutest thing this Thanksgiving! Have a wonderful time!
Oh Amanda - Jackson gets cuter everyday! Looking at the photos of Jackson from last year and his face matching his parka - I am reminded of something your mama said in her lesson from Life Today - A Fight Worth Having - (Just watched it w/ my Sunday School Class 2 weeks ago)that Jackson was dubbed the "human red hot"
Enjoy the mountains! They have such meaning for me in my life as well!
As we celebrate Thanksgiving next week - may I say that one of the many things I am thankful to the Lord for is the gift of this blog and the lovely ladies who share the love of the Lord on the internet!
Yes, Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow!
Too Cute!
darling legs! Makes me want to just tickle them!
He looks like he is so mad at you mommy!!
But you are right at least he is not screaming - LOL!!
Have a GREAT TIME in the mountains!
Much love,
Kim
Your little man is SO truly adorable!! Looks like he's ready for some snowman building for sure. Build one for my family. We don't see much snow here in Tucson. Enjoy being together in the mountains.
We have family coming here from Denver. We'll be hanging out poolside in our shorts and t-shirts. I love Thanksgiving...great time to make some great family memories.
Have fun in the mountains. I pray that the entire clan will have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
We have been blessed beyond measure though our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Unmerited favor...what an awesome God we serve.

Hugs,

Gotta love little boys in their fluffy winter coats and big-boy boats...pants optional!! Thanks for sharing! have a very blessed thanksgiving!
He is too cute! Love the look even without the pants!! Enjoy every moment at this age it passes all too quickly.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving. This is my favorite time of the year. Our Church has a "special" Wednesday night service before Thanksgiving where the congregation gets to give testimonies of thankfullness from the past year. It is my absolute favorite night. It never ceases to amaze me how God touches our lives. There is usually not a dry eye in the Sanctuary at the end of the evening.
Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing all of us with this wonderful blog and the teachings of the Living Proof Ministries. Thank you for allowing us to share our love for you Lord with women who are like-minded. Praise God!!
Lori
Dear Amanda, Your boy couldn't be any cuter!...blessings to you all this Thanksgiving! I'm so thankful to you and your family for sharing your lives with us! God is using you in a unique way thru this blog. Lot's of wisdom and encouragement to other women (young and old!) God bless you! Ann p.s. still want to see a photo of the RED door!
Thanks so much Sunny and Amanda for posting the Praise song list!!! Sunny - you saved me hours of work going through all the recommendations!! You are a gem straight from heaven!!
Siestas have a fabulous thanksgiving and a joyful journey in this week preparing for all this holiday holds for us!!
Terry in Tucson
Amanda dear, I just can't get over the face with the jacket and no pants, look at that serious "I'm off to get me something done!" face. How did you take the picture through the convulsive laughing and tears?? Thanks so much for sharing! Love you my sister, Kim in PA
My husband, the writer, calls little kids in winter clothes, "being immobilized by layers of parental concern".
No snow down here in the "banana belt" of Wyoming yet, but there's snow on the Big Horns, out my back window, so I'm pretty sure there will be snow over in the Tetons. It was 24 degrees here when I took my daughter to school this morning. Bet Jackson won't mind that coat and way too cool boots, when he's tromping in the snow. Has he seen snow yet? Gotta get pics of that!!
I'm praying for a blessed Thanksgiving and time of refreshing and fun for the Moores and Jones.
Melana in Wyoming
So cute!!!!! I remember bundling my boys up like we were in Alaska (I live in Alabama so it really never gets seriously cold here but we think it does ;-)
Just don't try to strap him into the car seat with his parka on....that really makes them mad. Get them all bundled up to not fit and then have to take it off and then be strapped in and the get to the destination to be re-bundled. Oh the joy of motherhood....wouldn't trade it!
Many blessings for Thanksgiving to you and yours, Jill
Amanda,
He is just too cute!! And that's one of those pictures you'll need to tuck away to show his future wife! Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family. The times spent together are precious.
God bless ya'll real good :o)
Amanda... Jackson looks too cute in his jacket. Fashion above comfort is what I like to tell my 1 year old son, but I dont think he is buying it.
Speaking of fashion, I just left our large group womens study about real beauty. They showed this new Dove commerical from their campaign for real beauty. I thought it was fabulous and wanted all to see. Check it out at
www.campaignforrealbeauty.com it is call the onslaught video. Good thing dove thought of this campaign... i am sensing the KING is about the unleash His own campaign for beauty! Enjoy
I love it.
That first picture looks like he is thinking, "are you kidding me?"
Adorable.

Oh my goodness that is hilarious! Last years pics were so entertaining in the way only torturous parents can enjoy! He looks adorable this year in his new jacket!
Thank goodness we live in AZ where winter jackets are more like wind breakers. I can't imagine having to wrangle a toddler to try and get him bundled up. Ugh! I would need to practice my roppin' skills for that one! Plus it takes FOREVER to get three kids out the door when we don't have to bundle up... WOW I have a new appreciation for you cold weather mommas!!!
That's a lot for one little guy to wear!
My 13-month-old daughter doesn't have that much winter gear, but she does have some trouble getting around in her bulky coat.
Oh poor little guy! I don't blame him, I dont' like the cold either!!
Today in Arkansas it was 73 and I was sleevless....you never know from day to day...
Have a wonderful relaxing Thanksgiving. For the first time our parents will not be at Thanksgivng. Their passings are still very recent and present. Pray for us and me as I am hosting and am very nervous about it! I don't cook...have never turned on my oven in seven and half years!
He is absolutely adorable!(Great taste in clothes. Would that be Cabelos or Bass Pro..ha!) It just seems like yesterday when mine were that age. May you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving in the mountains.
I love the first picture! Jackson is the cutest little guy.
I pray that your family has a very blessed, enjoyable time together in the mountains next week.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
AJ--You are so darn funny! To your great credit, you were able to get Jackson to try it on, and you captured a photo before he peeled it off. Very impressive.
Right now, I can't get my 3-year old daughter to wear 1) shirts, 2) pants, 3) socks, 4) tights, or 5) regular shoes. Which leaves 1) dresses and 2) rainboots (no socks).
Toddlers are such a hoot!
xoxo
nI think "are you kidding me" says it best for the first picture!! Jackson is absolutely adorable, bare legs and all. Both of our kids were born in No. Dakota so I remember having to bundle them in their warmest "gear" to even walk next door. I'm not sure any of their coats were that cute, tho!
Our family sends all the Moore's and all the Siestas a very blessed Thanksgiving. We'll be in Texas with our family and I have to add to Annette's note--Gig'em! We'll be at the game!
Everyone, travel safe over the holidays and if you happen to run into a soldier in the airport--share a smile and say a prayer for them!
Happy Fall Y'all!
I thought his little golfing outfit was cute, but this one is even better! I think that one needs to be made into your family Christmas card! ;) :0 :)
Have a wonderful time with family over Thanksgiving!
Those are adorable pictures! And, thanks for making that list, Sunny! I'm going to be doing some downloading this week. :-)
Those last two just gotta make you giggle.
The first picture reminds me a little of Randy the little brother in "A Christmas Story"...too cute.
Amanda,
Even when throwing a fit, that child is just darling! We hope your Thanksgiving is a time of warmth and blessing with your delightful family!
Love,
Kristen
He is the cuteset thing I have ever seen...and I should be biased as I have nieces and nephews! Have fun in that beautiful country! Enjoy the snow! :)
I love the contrast of last year's reaction and this years'. It often helps to see where we have come from in order to see where we are headed. Have a great trip! Blessings.
Amanda -
You are such a hoot. Thanks for making me laugh out loud.
Cindy
Yep, pants might be good...especially if it snows!
oh my gosh! how ADORABLE is he!! i would just love to gobble him up!
I love the pictures of Jackson. He reminds me so much of my son who is now 17 and will be heading off to college in a few months. It is amazing how innocent the hearts of little boys. I miss those days so much and usually sit at the computer with tears streaming down my face when I see pictures of Jackson. Have a great holiday!

Hi Amanda,
I am looking for your family Texas Sheet cake recipe. It was on the BLOG not too long ago~ but I can't find it now. I knew I should have printed it the day I saw it.
Can you help~~~ I wanted the cake for Turkey day- I live with the "chocolate people" if you know what I mean.
Thank you so much~ have a great Thanksgiving with your fam.
Your whole family is going to have such fun....nothing like a holiday to celebrate the blessings of a family's love! Jackson is so adorable! God bless and travel with angels! May the whole Moore family have an extra special Thanksgiving this year! You are all beloved!
oh my goodness, these are the cutest pictures! He is too precious!
Hi Amanda,
Jackson is precious! I can relate to the comment made by the mom who's son is 17 and heading to college soon. My son is in his first year of college and it seems like yesterday he was Jackson's age! It is still such a joy to be the mom of such a fine young man. He is very dear to me. Enjoy the years to come! God gives us such blessing with each stage we grow with them. May your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday time together!
Sunny and Amanda,
I echo the sentiment from others .... Thank you so much for consolidating the play list!!!! I was going to attempt this and found no time, so my thanks goes out to Sunny for finding the time and following through on it!!
Shamefully, I have never heard of some of these artists, but have listened to some for years! WOW, what a list to have at any time of the year for inspiration!
Thanks again for your efforts!!
Was that red hat from Old Navy (lasts years pic)? My son had the same one last year!!! Jackson is precious :)
Adorable!!
