I Say We Pray

Hey, girls! I am so excited right now because (A) It feels somewhat like a
fall day in North Texas! AND (B) My parents are coming to visit this
weekend! Mom has a taping at Life Today, which is not far from my house.
Jackson and I will pick her up from the airport in about 8 hours. But who's
counting? Jackson is suddenly saying lots of words and I can't wait for him to
show off for her. Maybe he'll even say her name this time!

My mom wanted me to ask you if you'd please come alongside her in prayer this
weekend for the taping. She is still amazed over the grace of God to have the
opportunity to serve with James and Betty and is getting to do the very thing
she loves most: encourage people who may never have been to Bible study in
their lives to develop a hunger and thirst to know Christ through Scripture.
She also loves the size of the studio audience and the fact that she can
actually touch the women she's getting to teach.

In the midst of all these innumerable blessings is a very challenging taping schedule. She will prepare and deliver five different messages in a very short span of time. She also is dealing with a cold that Jackson dropped off at her house a few weeks ago. After going through the rest of the family, it finally landed on her
over the weekend. Please ask God to release her cold, relieve her cough, and
show His glory through her. You can imagine how important that will be on
Friday and Saturday when she is working her throat so hard. Even in normal
health, she is usually a bit hoarse by the end of these tapings. Pray that she will be well, energetic, and best able to serve. Mom told me that the last audience they had at a Life Today taping was her best yet. Please ask God to bring her another group like that one - very participatory and eager to get a Word. May the Spirit fall on them in an incredible way. Thank you so much, sisters. You have no idea how much she loves you. She will be greatly encouraged to know that you are praying.

There's one other matter of prayer that I'd like to mention. We have an
extended family situation that has been a huge concern for at least five
years. Right now a dearly loved family member is in dire need of
deliverance. It could be getting very close to a life or death situation. I
know the power of your prayers because when you all prayed for my grandpa
earlier this summer, he had a recovery that was nothing short of a miracle. It
was as if Jesus pulled him up off of his death bed and gave him new life. He has not been this strong and joyful in many, many years. He is a sight to see! Praise God! And he cannot stop talking about what God has done for him. All that to say, I
am eager to ask for your prayers on behalf of our other loved one, too. I know our whole family could use an extra portion of faith and peace in the matter. As you all know, it can be hard to persevere in long-term, faith-filled prayer. May He give us all some fresh faith over our circumstances, in Jesus' name!

Thank you, sisters! Y'all are simply amazing. And isn't our Father the best?

Enjoy your visit!

Lord, We lift Beth up to You. We ask You to refresh her spiritually, physically, and mentally as she delivers the messages You pour through her to Your people. Deliver her from the cold virus and all it's effects.

Lord, we lift up this family member to You. We ask you to surround this precious person with Your holy angels. We bind the enemy from working in their life. We claim the shed blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth over them from the top of their head to the soles of their feet. We thank You for the deliverance of the person from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Christ. In Jesus' Victorious Name. Amen.

Amanda, enjoy having your Mom & Dad with you this weekend! I know Jackson is going to be in Little Man heaven with them there. There will probably be some Granny dancin goin'on!!!

I just wanted to let you know that it would be a privilage to go before God on your behalf Beth and for your entire family. God has used you so many ways in my life and especially the past two weeks. I've downloaded your messages to my MP3 player and continuously have them playing in my car, home, and work (when I can). I've listened to the one on forgiveness so many times that I could practically tell it to you word for word, but with out fail, I get something new from it each time. I want to thank you for being so obediant to the Lord and I appreciate your sweet, gentle spirit. You are so refreshing. May God continually bless you and your family exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or think.
God Bless!

Dear Jehovah Shalom,

I pray that the peace of the Holy Spirit would descend on the more family, that Beth's health would be restored and she would be refreshed as she delivers several messages this weekend. She is a passionate teacher and I know her desire is to glorify and honor you. Empower her with your Holy Spirit and give her strength for the coming days. I pray Your message would shine forth as the sun as she speaks to those who attend the taping sessions, anoint her with new wine and fresh oil God.

I pray also for their family member in need of deliverance. We lift them up to you and ask that Your holy and sovereign hand be upon them, that they would be awakened and the deception of the enemy removed. I pray Lord that just as you used slavery and bondage in the Exodus to stir up a desire for Your deliverance among Your people, that You would also stir up a desire for Your deliverance in the heart of this beloved one in the Moore Family. I pray a hedge of protection around every member of Beth and Amanda's family. Do not let discouragment and doubt rear their ugly heads, instead remind them Lord that You are not slow to answer and that You are not willing any should be lost... Love on them Lord. I thank You that You hear my prayer and that You have already answered me. You are You are awesome in this place, mighty God. In the sweet and holy name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.

BLessings,
Michelle

Amanda,
I have been following your blog for awhile now, but this is my first attempt at actually posting! I so appreciate you, Beth, and Living Proof Ministries. God has used this ministry to ignite in me a love and passion for scripture and a desire to grow deeper in love with my Savior. I have had the opportunity to study many of the Bible studies and feel like I know you and your family! What a blessing and encouragement you all are to me!

I will be specifically praying for this weekend of taping as well as deliverance for your family member and you as you persevere in prayer. "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

As a stay-at-home mom with little ones, I can relate with the joy of those first words! What fun! Blessings for a wonderful weekend with your family!

I have never left a comment before, but just had to say something today. Yes, I will pray and believe that you will have wonderful answers to report back to us next week, but mostly I have to thank you for sharing about your grandfather.

When you asked for prayer for your folks' trip and for him in the summer, I prayed briefly for your mom and dad, but the real burden of my heart was for him. The prayer the Holy Spirit laid on me was that he would know that the Lord's goodness and miracles were not just for his children and grandchildren, but for him as well. I have prayed a few times for him since then and just wondered how he was.

I have been in a long and hard season and felt often like I was the man on the pallet carried by his friends. I can't tell you how grateful I am to know that my prayers were answered, that it was actually God and not my own imagination speaking to me and that your grandad is so full of joy over this. Selfishly, perhaps, that news is such a gift.

I live far from my own mother and know what a treat those visits are. I also know what a blessing it is to have a sweet and honorable daughter.
Bless you both.

Beth & Family:
We will be lifting you up without ceasing. "WE" being 100 siestas headed for the North Georgia mountains this very weekend to learn how to "love well," using your retreat material, Loving Well.

Dear Father, We ask in faith that You will anoint our sister Beth as she teaches Your precious Word - may the audience be engaged, may the Word become alive to them. Illuminate the scriptures - Give Beth Your words, give her a strong voice with no hint of a cold, may she be able to bring to remembrance the very things she has studied - use her mightily and give her an extra dose of energy and focus.

And dear Jesus, bless this sweet family with an extra portion of Your love and grace. Wrap Your arms around them - hold them tight, may they feel Your peace in their homes and hearts in whatever situation they are experiencing.

Thank You that You made a WAY for us all to be in Your great Family by the blood of Christ.

In the name of Jesus, Amen and Amen

Father, You are the BEST! I pray and agree with my sisters your healing and blessings would move and be on my sister Beth and the Moore family , and the extended family member that appears to be in darkness. I pray Lord God & Jesus :) You would move within the heart, mind, eyes and ears of this member, and BRING THEM INTO YOUR GLORIOUS LIGHT! We are sure this is Your will. And Your will be done :)
We Praise You and Thank You, that You hear us and Love us so much!!!

WE LOVE YOU JESUS! and Thanks for sending us Beth as a vessel to drastically change our lives by the power of Your Word!!
In Jesus' Name! ~ Amen
~~~
And if you all could please be praying for our family situation, I've been "gettin' up out of the pit for several years now, and gainin' ground, but my co-pit dweller has no vision to see how to get out, and it frequently moves toward crisis, and I need guidance and wisdom and some powerful filling of His truth and Holy Spirit so I can "make my mind up" "Find my value in Christ" "set up lines in the sand" and get on with my life, hopefully then as I get better, my co-pit dweller will be pushed to a wall to make some changes ~
But, irregardless than I am changed and healed and live outside the pit, with no weakness to fall or jump in.
Thanks Siestas!
I will be praying for Beth this weekend. May God touch her throat and loose that cold off of her body and give her strength and energy that would far exceed what she needs! I pray God's anointing to fall on the studio, Beth, the ladies and men attending and the camera men and behind the scene workers. May God's glory fall and may we be able to see that on t.v.!! I pray for a God encounter for Beth as she teaches and the attendees, God do something so unique and unexpected that will rock the studio and change lives forever.
For your family member. I pray God's light would invade every part of darkness in the person's life and expose the enemy's plan and God please bind satan from this person's life. I pray you would paralyze the enemy and make him as still as a stone where he can not operate in their life! You are our Divine Warrior and ever present help in trouble and I am asking to breathe life into this person!! Please loose minstering angels to their side and just as you parted the Red Sea, part the bondage/addiction out of this life and allow them to be bathed in your Presence! Thank you for hearing our prayers and bringing deiverance as only you can!! There is power in your blood and in your name! In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
I have been reading your blog for several months now but have never jumped in with a comment. I feel so privileged to join this sweet group of Siestas! Beth, you have encouraged me in countless, eternal ways and I hope to share a few of them with you some day.
On Sunday our Pastor preached on Romans 15:30. "Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to STRIVE TOGETHER with me IN YOUR PRAYERS TO GOD for me." (NASB). What a powerful Word this was to me and the Holy Spirit has been bringing it to my mind all week! How we need to struggle in prayer together! Beth, I will be striving with you in prayer this week and this weekend. I do not write these words lightly. I will be praying that God will teach me how to pray for you. I wait in eager expectation to see Him glorified!
Father,
Please put your hand of strength upon our dear sister Beth. Please increase her faith to serve as you reveal to her the hunger of the people she is serving. Lord, please pour out your Spirit according to your Word. Pour it upon all flesh and may they take that double portion to their homes and loved ones. Lord, we lift up your agenda to you and we ask that your will would be done. The calandar is moving swiftly to that Day and we are a people that needs you to wake us up so we will be ready. Lord, we also lift up this love one who needs deliverence. There are some things that need a multitude to pray over and this is one of them. This person is being prayed for by the saints and we know that you hear our cry. Please release him/her from the power of the enemy and deliver this person into your glorious light. Work out that salvation in their life. God, we ask that you direct their footsteps and allow this person to have encounter after encounter with your love and truth.There is a brokeness that leads to repentence. We pray for that brokeness. We pray that your goodness will captivate this heart and make this person a willing vessel for your glory.
We love you, Lord. We love you for what you have done. We love you for what you are doing. Fill our lips with praise.
My husband and I watch your mom every Wed. after we get home from church on Life Today. A couple of times I've seen my niece's mother-in-law in the audience and thought....I've got to find out how she's getting on there so often!
I will pray for your mom to feel better than ever. She is so anointed and God blesses each time I hear her speak. I sat there and wept when I read your blog.... just thinking about how special it is that we can pray for her and stand in the gap for the extended family member who needs deliverance.(we know nothing is too hard for the Lord!!) Just to be able to write on here and encourage you all and let you know we're praying, is such a blessing after all you do for us.
Also, it was so good to hear that your grandpa is doing so well. Praise God!
We love you guys and pray that you have an extra special weekend.
I can't wait to hear what all Jackson says to his granny this weekend.
Love,
Valerie
Dear Father, we lift up Beth to you and ask for your healing touch. Lord, please allow her voice to be Yours so that she can spread Your word to those who need to hear it. Keep her well and safe and healthy this weekend as she does Your work.
Lord, we also pray for this special family member. We ask that he feel You and learn Your love. Please help him to let go and be in You as You are in him.
All this we ask in Your Son's holy name, Amen.
Dear Amanda, It would be an honor to lift you all up in prayer for these specific needs. I watched Life Today, yesterday, and wept as your Mom taught on God's Intensive Care. May God, our Dear Father grant healing and strength to Beth as she teaches, tapes and ministers to those on both side of the T.V. screen. May God grant them safe travel and refreshment as they are blessed to visit you all. And we lift up your family member for a mighty deliverance, to the glory fo Jesus, In His Name we pray. The "Intensive Care" series was amazing - I have it taped and can't wait to watch them again. I so sensed God's annoiting on that word that He had you share. Thank you for being obedient and faithful to Him.
In regards to Jackson saying so much. My little son is 18months now and it is amazing how much he is begining to do and say. My family lives about 25minutes away and with my four brothers and sisters and my 3year old, we always have something to watch, hear or talk about.
Girl, I just want to say that every time your mom mentions you on the tapings it thrills my heart and makes me want to just jump over a couple of states and say hi. I think we are about the same age and we are def. experiencing a lot of the same things in regards to having boys under two. Love you sweet sister AJ.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for Beth and her family as they continue to minister to us. Father, I pray that you would bless Beth with healing under your hand as Jehovah Rapha and that you would restore her to complete health before she begins to tape her video segments. Father, give strength to her voice and her body as she begins this hectic schedule to serve you. Father, I pray that there are women in that audience that will receive a fresh word from you during this time and that they would be re-energized in your Word.
Father, I pray for the visit with Amanda and her family. We love the stories she gives us about Jackson and I pray they have a wonderful time together. Lift all of them up during this visit that they may make the most out of their time together. May Beth come back to us with new stories. I remember when she announced to us about Jackson's birth at a Living Proof live event and now I get to hear even more details with the videos from A Woman's Heart. I thank you for the witness that all of them are to us.
Father, I pray for this family member that is struggling. I pray that your hand would intervene quickly and intently. May they realize the miracle of you and the sacrifice you made. May they realize that only you can break the strongholds of our lives. Father, I pray that you would give Beth and the family a measure of peace during this time.
Father, I pray for safe travel mercies on Beth and Keith. Watch over them and protect them.
I pray all of these things in Your Holy Name. Amen
Beth, thank you so much for the impact you have had and continue to have on my life. God has placed a burden for the women of our church on my heart. I thank Him that He has provided the resource of you and Priscilla to guide us in our walk and to encourage us to believe in Him.
I will be praying for the weekend taping. I record "Wednesdays with Beth" on my computer and watch it when I get home on Wednesdays. I can't imagine what it would be like to sit in that audience - what a lesson that would be! I'll be praying for the taping and Beth's healing. And for the long stading request, well, I'll be praying for that situation too. Our God is able to do so much and I'm praying He'll bring peace to that situation. Thank you for letting us all come alongside your family. You are all dearly loved.
God, you have set this thing up and have ordained a personal encounter for each and every single audience member in that studio. Holy Spirit, fall like rain in that place so that even the cameraman would get soakin' wet. In the authority of Christ, I call on angels to guard and protect this family and fight on their behalf. Lord, you have promised freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Give these warriors fresh hope. Let them see your hand at work. Show them what to pray, say, and do. Wrap your loving arms around them and bless their socks off!
Have a great weekend with your mom. I wish I could be with mine.
I need prayer! I faciltate a bible study on Thursday mornings. I get there early to set the room up, start the coffee, pray and wait for the ladies to arrive. They come, we share, we watch the videos. We are all sunned at what God has shown us. They stay and chat making their lunch plans while I clean up the coffee and break down the room. When I look up they are all gone and I go home. I try to tell myself, I shouldn't feel this way, but I do.
Notice I am not signing my name - I am embarrassed I feel this way.
That's why need prayer!!!!
The truth is I love God so much - I only want to serve Him. He thrills me, he keeps me in awe, but I am so lonely for Christian friendships.
I must be doing something wrong!!!Please pray that God reveals it to me or that I cease to feel this way.
This is my first post. I can't resist a plea to pray for deliverance for your loved one. Twenty years ago I was set free from a food addiction that had a death grip on me. Years of failure, shame and contempt had left me hopeless, helpless, and utterly defeated. But nothing can stop the Savior in pursuit of His Bride! Jesus literally saved me from my sins and I am undoubtedly convinced He will save your loved one too. I will not stop praying until I hear word of God's marvelous works in his/her life.
Until then..
Always, always Alleluia!
Father, on Your Throne, Your Holy Throne, in Heaven, how Wonderful is Your Name. As You control the rising of the sun and the way of the dolphin, look upon Beth Moore and see her humble heart that cries out to You...and You Alone...to hear her prayers and to answer them in Your Perfect Will. Anoint her with Your oil of Truth. Pour it out richly over her. Let it exude through every cell and joint in her body. Give her the Mind of Christ and let His Words flow freely from her human lips. Lord, it is beyond us that You would use us for Your Glory! But we thank You. Yes, we thank You for allowing Your Power to be made real through us and especially through Your servant, Beth Moore. Father, her heart is troubled about a personal family matter that needs Your intervention. In my spirit, I come humbly at Your Feet and lay this burden down. I lay it at the foot of the cross and ask for the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ to explode into this need. Father, we believe. We trust. We thank You. In Jesus Name. Amen.
I think God’s beautiful Eyes stopped on Session 4 of Esther and marked that study for Eternity. God displayed such beauty in you Beth to reveal His character to us for you were a co-worker, a co-agent of your glorious God, I Thes. 3:2,3. I was deeply touched Tuesday. The 2 things I have feared the most in life happened to me this year: Fear of failure in ministry---my faithful husband lost his ministry position of 27 years. And, I’ve feared losing my right mind (a victim of severe childhood trauma) and a major meltdown happened. My Sovereign God intervened and orchestrated it all and stood me up and used the Patriarchs and Daniel and Esther studies to do that. I am alive in ways I’ve never been and can’t thank the Beautiful God in you enough. I am aware and desperately troubled by what’s inside of me that can’t be changed apart from the Presence & Power of our Present God. He's changing me & convincing me of His Boundless Love. So, I’ll be thirsty in one of those rows at Life Today this weekend believing God for Deut 32:2 that His teaching will fall like rain on our tender hearts in that studio and for the many who will hear the words, Deut 18:18, He is going to put in your mouth, for those who are unsettled in their hearts & faith----for you are His servant of the Word of God for the knowledge of the Truth that leads to godliness --- changed lives --- Titus 1:1. Praying for you, dear siesta. "Take Courage."
O Amanda! How much fun for you to have your parents and show off your baby's new words! Your mother and your loved one will be in my prayers! So let's pray:
Father God, You alone are Holy and able to do the impossible. Lord, Beth is about Your work and You know her very needs as she begins her tapings to spread Your Gospel. In the Name of Jesus, I bind all spirits of disease in Beth and send them to the place that Jesus desires and ask You, Holy Spirit to fill up every voided place in Beth with Your healing love, healing power and healing strength. Lord, I plead the blood of Jesus over Beth that like a nectar to her throat, she will speak with clarity and love in each taping this weekend.
Secondly, Lord, we come before Your throne of Grace on our faces to lift up one of Beth's family members who is in real trouble. Lord, You have said that You will be faithful to those of us who stand in the gap for Your lost sheep. So Lord, in the Name of Jesus Christ and by the Power of His Name, we claim this person for Your kingdom as we bind Satan and his influence over this person, sending him out of this person to the place that Jesus desires, and we ask You, Holy Spirit to fill up every tiny empty space in this person's body with Your healing love, Your power and strength as You open the eyes of his/her heart to the truth of Jesus Christ and the incredible love He has for this person...no matter what she/he has done. Lord, we worship You and praise You, and we thank You for hearing the cries of our hearts on behalf of our sister, Beth and her family member. And Lord, we thank You that by Your grace and Your mercy, this person can walk out in victory to be the newly created person You desire her/him to be....freed from bondage to love You. For greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Praise God! All to Your glory, Lord, all to Your glory. We love You, Lord....we love You. Thank You, Jesus. In Your Mighty Name and by the Power of Your Blood, we pray, Amen.
Much love and big hugs to all of you!
Lord Jesus I lift my best friend Beth up to you especially this weekend! I'm so blessed to get a chance to read this and pray for her Father. Thank you for this chance to see you work a wonder! Having just finished my antibiotic today after a bout of strep throat, I can totally relate to that feeling of dread when it comes on. Oh Lord You are the great healer and deliverer. You can do everything! This weekend, Father, let your Holy Spirit fall! In Texas, Missouri and every place where there is a remnant of your people. Let the Spirit be stirred up in our hearts! Begin a revival Lord Jesus. We long for it and we long for you in our lives and the lives of those we love. I pray for this family member. Whatever it is that is gripping her heart, Lord set. Her. Free. We praise you Jesus for bringing us into your plan and work.
I say we pray and we sing, "Spirit of the Living God, fall fresh on me. Spirit of the Living God, fall fresh on me. Melt me, mold me. Use me, fill me! Spirit of the Living God, fall fresh on me!"
Bless you Beth and Amanda. Sarah from MO
Thank you so much for making your needs known to us! I absolutely love every single “excuse” to enter the Throne room. Revelation 4 tells us there IS a Throne in Heaven and it is not empty! Our Father sits there and He is eager for us to come before Him – didn’t His Son die just for that purpose?? I have already taken your requests before Him the moment I read them and am now sharing this moment with you.
My daughter speaks for our Father as well – and on Wednesday past “circumstances” had it that she had an impacted wisdom tooth out at 2:00 p.m. and then was keynote speaker at a church meeting that evening at 7:00. Glory!!! He is so very able and loves when we recognize that it is ALL Him! I am very excited for you all as you see His glory through your precious Mamma this weekend.
I have several precious loved ones that need a special revelation of Jesus in their lives so I have an idea of your pain in this area – this too was left at the Throne this morning.
Oh yes....I made one more special request. Being a grandma myself I asked the Father to bless Beth with Jackson’s saying her name. Oh how vain we are! But to hear our precious grandchildren recognize us is one of life’s greatest moments. I am Nama and lovin’ it! Lots of love to you all.
You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:28-32
Father, may your strength be overwhelming as you make the way perfect for Beth and all others who are there to receive your Word. How we give you praise for being our shield! Glory be to your flawless Word!
I am praying for you and your family (your mom and this family member). I am believing God for His deliverance. I have been so fortunate to have witnessed a miraculous deliverance for a loved one in my family. A 35 year prayer!!! But, God is faithful and just and perfect. We are having the best time rejoicing with God. So, I will pray for this situation.
I pray also for Beth and for her health during this taping. Her life is such a blessing to so many and God will continue to honor her efforts. Thank you, both for allowing us to share your love of Christ!
Have a wonderful visit, give your mom a hug from all of us and tell her how much we love her! In our Bible Study Wednesday night, Jackson was four days old and Granny was on the floor. She had just flown in and was flying out in the morning. She was smitten!
Now, he is ready for words and praise dancing! What little bit of heart she has will be completely gone when he whispers sweet things in her ear.
"I Say We Pray" too.
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear;
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Much love and blessings to you and your family. Standing in the gap with you!
Bless the many people that Beth will be ministering to... may they receive a fresh word and learn to love you from the depths of their hearts, with all of their mind, body and spirit!
Bless the family time that will be shared this weekend, and I praise you for the wonderful gift Jackson is to his family.
Gracious Father, may the family member who is so struggling at this time reach out, grab Your hand and find their life renewed. Deliver them from whatever bondage they are in and may You be glorified for the Awesome God that You are.
I will continue to lift of the needs of Living Proof Ministries, Beth and any other circumstances that affect your beautiful lives. I am part of the Houston sisters. I just moved here from Baton Rouge, La two months ago and am so honored to get oppourtunity to go to this wonderful study. It has blessed my life beyond words. Just this morning while doing my Esther homework there was this passage of scripture that brought me so much comfort and joy until I was not only full but overflowing and I believe it is worth sharing.
Lamentations 3:19-23 I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I remember them and my soul is downcast within me.***Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have HOPE: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS. I will say the Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait on him.
Whatever the circumstances are family needs, illness, fatique, etc. He knows them all. I lift you up today Amanda,Beth,Living Proof, Life Today and your family situation. I can say with confidence and experience that His precious love never fails us. I know that you both know this well because it overflows in your lives. Be blessed today!!! With great love from Houston.
This is for anonymous who is feeling left out after Bible study. I have found that my perception of being the one left out of the "group" is almost always much more in my imagination than in reality. Be proactive. I have found so many women who were delighted that I called and made plans to get together. Many women are just waiting for YOU to ask THEM, because they feel exactly like you do. I have a hard time imagining that there is not at least one woman in your Bible Study who would be excited to get a call from you the day before B.S. asking her to join you for lunch the next day. I know what it is like to be the new one in the group, so I always try to spot the woman in the room who needs someone to reach out to her.
I have not yet met one woman who did not respond warmly to being reached out to. There are so many that are just waiting for YOU to be the one willing to risk rejection by extending the invitation. Pray about it this week and ask God to show you the woman who needs a friend. Really, most people are not exclusive, they just don't see the needs of those around them.
Dear Amanda and Beth,
Please know that you will be in my prayers for your family member. You are so right, it does sometimes prove to be a challenge to stay faith filled and focused when you are in a situation where there seems to be no end in sight. I am currently in one of those situations myself as well as standing and PRAYING on the sidelines for a dearly loved sister in a situation that she needs to be delivered from.
Thank you for sharing your prayer needs with us, so we can pray. I know what a blessing it is to know that others are lifting our needs up before our Holy and Loving Father.
May God greatly bless Beth in her ministry with Living Well and keep her healthy.
We love you both and pray God's richest blessings on your life and appreciate the ministry you all have to us!!
May God richly bless you!!
I am so blessed by Wednesday's with Beth. I get to view it online at work. She is the real deal, and I pray the blood of the Lamb upon her. That he would heal her and provide for her precious women and men for the taping that will be a blessing to her soul.
I have also lifted up your extended family member. God is so
GOOD.
My husband and I are a redeemed product of HIS goodness and your loved one will be as well. Do not despair as it was a 26 year long prayer request of a faithful mother to continue to pray for her son to return to his first love.
I married that man and today he is a faithful servant of the Most High God.
I pray that your parents will enjoy their precious grandson and be glowing when they have to go home. Thanks AJ for sharing and being so obedient to gods calling.
God bless your weekend.
Hi there,
I will definitely be praying about everything that you requested, Amanda. However, I am wondering if maybe the Lord wants to use your Mom's cough and cold in some way to show the audience and TV viewers that "even Beth Moore gets a little sick once in a while", and that she truly does need God to help her through things, just like we do ...
And, I know how Beth has always talked about the fact that she absolutely DOES NOT want any one to "put her up upon a pedestal", as she is just a Sojourner in His Word, just like we are.
I think I can guess which family member you have written about, although I do not know the person's name, and if that is indeed the case, then I will be praying even harder for the Holy Spirit to help that person be set them free, once and for all! And, even if it is not the person I am thinking of, I will still be praying for him or her.
I will also plan to "pray over the seats" in the Life Today studio, as well as over all of the equipment that is used, and our sweet teacher, Beth, as I used to volunteer to do that on Tuesday nights before Beth's Bible studies, whenever I got the chance to do so, [before the Lord called me to move back to my home state of Wisconsin 3 years ago]. And it brought me such an enormous amount of peace and joy to do so there, and I'm sure the Holy Spirit can do His work in this way through me from afar, even though I am simply longing to know, to learn, and love Him more, myself, as well.
In Christ's mighty Love,
Jennifer O.
Southern Wisconsin
P.s. I will be praying that Y'all have a wonderful visit together, too! :)
I already wrote a comment on "I Say We Pray" but wanted to comment on a past blog from Beth about shopping.
I made a quick trip to Dillards just a little bit ago for some make up and "just happened" by a 75% off rack of very nice pant suits. I got a $200 suit for $34.75! I had to get it....it was such a great deal! The sales clerk told me they had just marked them down. Just wanted to pass that praise report on.
Continuing to pray for Beth and family. Enjoy your weekend!
Also regarding your mom's earlier post (on Mon., 10/8), it was nice to see your dad in the background of her picture with Priscilla and Lisa! Finally have a face to go with the name.
Father, I ask in your sweet Son's name, to bless our dear sister and the needs she has placed before you. You are our Healer, our Calm in the storm, our Strong Tower, our Peace in the waiting, Our light in the darkness. I ask that You, Holy Spirit, would desend upon Beth, your humble servent. Touch her body and her mind, her very being Lord, to serve those you have called her to serve in a way she has never witnessed, that Your name continue to be gloified through her. May she rest in the shadow of your wings. We stand firm in the promise, greater are You Lord who's Holy Spirit resides in us, than he that is in this world. And that You are mighty to the pulling down of all strongholds.
May you bring to light the lies of the enemy, to this beloved family member, may we not grow weary of praying, for we know You are faithful Father. With you all thing are possible, even when it looks and feels hopless. Holy Spirit, I ask that you would persue this family member stronger and louder in his/her spirit than ever before. Do what you do best, reveal the love of Christ to them now in the Mighty and Powerful name of our Lord Jesus. Amen
Father God, we ask, we plead
Fill to overflowing every need
Make them strong where weak
Don't give the enemy a chance to sneak
He's up to nothing new
Please don't let Beth feel blue
Bind the cough and cold
Fill Beth and make her bold
Your Spirit release
The enemy's plan to cease
Let Your glory abound
May You be seen all around
The family member that is bound
In You Lord, may they be found
We ask for a complete healing
Your will, Your way to them revealing
Nothing short of a miracle we ask
We know Lord, You are "up to the task"
Nothing is to big for You
You'll get all the Glory tis true
On You we totally rely
Don't let this family member die
Athough stuck in the muck and mire
Fill them Lord with a Holy desire
Let them not feed from Satan's hand
Let them behold Your eternal plan
We ask, We plead
Lord God, meet both these needs
In Your Holy, Righteous, Awesome Name
For Your Glory, for Your Fame,
In Jesus' Mighty Name,
Amen and Amen.
Another thought for the Bible Study leader who is feeling left out of the fellowship loop: perhaps suggest a salad potluck where everyone brings something to share (salad, bread, etc.) and have a meal together after your study. It may break the ice so everyone is included. My guess is that you may not be the only one feeling friendless. Another thought is to ask for one or two sisters to be in charge of the set-up - have them arrive early to help with coffee/tea set-up, so this gift is shared with others. We found that those who participated were just waiting to find a way to serve! I have definitely been on both sides, so I really know your pain! Please know that you are loved and appreciated, even if nobody tells you so at the time.
Yes He is! I also know your prayers must be powerful, cause when I asked for prayer for my 3-day migraine I went to bed that night I woke up the next morning feeling completely normal. It took me a couple hours before I remembered how miserable and pretty much non-functional the day before. And I was able to go to my Beth Moore bible study, which I would have hated to miss. I know it's not nearly as dramatic as your grandfather's situation, but to me it seemed almost like it. I was so grateful for my husband who took a day off of work to clean the house for me. Anyway, the only situation now that I'm really stressed about is that my daughter, Angela, who is only 6-years old and is already extremely defiant and demanding. She got in trouble for stealing something from a gift shop when we went on vacation last spring and then she stole from her school this fall. She's constantly stealing from us and she's a chronic liar. I mean, she can look you square in the eye and tell you a complete lie and look completely innocent. It's like having a miniature teenager in the house. I know people with teenagers who are better behaved. She's always had the opinion that children should be allowed to do whatever they want and has always thought we are the meanest parents in the world. She's been in homes where that is mostly the case and constantly tells us we're terrible parents. It's always been frustrating for me, because I'm constantly being criticized for how I handle her or how others think I'm handling her. I've been accused of not disciplining her at all and I've been accused of being too harsh with her. Everybody seems to be pretty well convinced it's my fault. I would like to know why they think my other 2 are nothing like that. In fact people at school have referred to my son as a "perfect little gentleman" and "the sweetest boy I've ever met". Anyway, sorry for my book about my children.
Amanda and Beth,
Trusting your taping went well, I was out of town this weekend for a much needed time away with my siter and all of her children and grandchildren. My six year old great niece was "Bapatized" this morning. What a joy to be there!!
We lost both of our paretns this summer, our mother was only 63. Our father was not a Christian and we prayed for him and for our mother's illness long term!
The long term prayer continues since I am now having to face my parents very large medical bills. Since I was working in the family business I am responsible and the money is not there. It could very well bankrupt me. But I am trying very hard to put my trust in Him. This week will be a very very urgent time and may be the beginning of the legal process regarding the bills. Could I just ask that if God wills that these bills all be forgiven before any legal action as they are both deceased.
Your family will be in my prayers! Did you ever feel like giving up? Did you ever feel helpless and overwhelemed and scared? I feel all those things right now.
God is in control!
Beth,
I just HAVE to write to you.....I am taking your Bible study, Living Beyond Yourself (I have never done one of your studies before). Today's session was on Joy. WOWZERS!!! I have to tell you I experienced Isaiah 60:5 right after your prayer! I literally experienced my heart throb and swell with joy to the point I started crying at my discussion table and on the way home felt like I was going to have a heart attack!!!
My family and I moved 10 months ago from Memphis, TN to the Atlanta, GA area. We had been paying 2 mortgages since March and we really started to feel a financial burden and finally received an offer about 6 weeks ago (our house was on the market for 9mo). Anyhow, when the video ended, I checked my cell phone, since I had been hearing it buzz and received a text message from my husband letting me know that the papers were signed and the sale of our house was a done deal!!! At that very moment, my hands flew up in praise, my heart started to throb and swell, and tears came streaming down my face. I was REJOICING!!!! God had finally lifted this burden and I was getting a taste of biblical joy! Thank you for showing me what true joy looks like!!!
Blessings!
Alexis
