Yes, we knew about that office, I still remember the set of the Study of Daniel ;). . . Love you guys thanks for obeying God with your wonderful ministry.
This is so funny!! I am with Beth, I love my Starbucks!! I have been eating chocolate covered coffee beans from Starbucks. In moderation of course but they are so good and they were in my stocking!! Blessings, Patty
YES!!!...every girl's home away from home. :) I think Jesus would have gone there too. I feel like he would have been a straight up black coffee kinda guy...cause he could handle that strong stuff. ;) ...It is funny though, to think about Him sittin' in the corner with his frapucchino and a brownie :D
I now know why my joy in the Lord doesn't quite match Beth's yet... I cannot manage to drink any kind of coffee!!!! (not even Starbuck's!) and I am sure Beth would shout "Blasphemy!" to the rooftops to know that! LOL.... So Beth, will hot chocolate work the same?!
I love that office...many of us share the same one!! Don't forget that Seattle is home to the original..we're looking foreward to driving down from Vancouver to see you in a week or so. God has great things in store as always. We'll be making the same stop at the office as you...a little bit of heaven on earth!! I love that God cares about silly things like that!(although some of us do take our coffee pretty seriously).God bless!!
I'll tell you one thing: if I look anywhere NEAR as good as you do when my first grandbaby comes along (which will be a ways down the road since my little one is three and all), I'm going to rise up my OWN self and call me blessed. Oh yes ma'am I will.
I have to admit, I have NEVER indulged in a STARBUCK'S coffee! They ALL sound pretty tasty, though! I have been a Tim Hortons girl(I live in Ontario, Canada)pretty much all my adult life(I'm 30)! Lately, though, the "Timmie's" coffee has been less then desirable(for me!). I apologize to all you Tim Hortons fans,if you love the coffee I am happy for you!! It was good while it lasted. I just meant, it's probably time for me to SWITCH over to the Starbuck's side and try that out for a while! I will have to find one first! There are none in the town I live in! The closest one is 40 minutes away!! Is it worth the drive? Jenn
Beth's Starbucks looks just like my Starbucks and every other Starbucks I've ever been in. Sure, the layout of the store may change and there may be subtle differences, but when all is said and done there is something FAMILIAR -- the cups, the straws, the syrups, the napkins, the little chalkboards announcing the latest and greatest flavor...you know...FAMILIAR!
Then it dawned on me...
The Body of Christ is the same way. We may all have different "layouts"...
-worship styles (hands lifted, no hands lifted) -music (hymns only, Contemporary only, blended worship) -Bible translations -gifts of the Spirit -tie wearing pastors -non-tie wearing pastors -coffee bars with vanilla syrup at the counter (and you thought we didn't catch that story!) -only straight coffee...no frills for fear of someone thinking we were adding to or taking away from the "gospel" of coffee
...and on and on it goes.
But One thing is familiar -- AND HE IS IT!!!
Thank you, Beth, for drawing the Body together to serve and follow the Lover of our souls!!
Now -- I'll take that Grande % White Chocolate Mocha, No Whip! :)
Grande mocha...all the way! I knew I connected with you in a "spiritual" way Beth! Love my Starbucks! Thanks for being so real and bringing home the reality of life in Christ to countless girls everywhere...from a forever Texas girl in Alabama!
Whoa girls!I believe there just may be a Star Bucks in heaven. It sounds like it is part of our standard operating procedure:Bible, workbook,Beth(in the cd player in the car), Starbucks. I too am a huge fan of the Grande, white chocolate mocha, no whip(you get more coffee that way)up here in Otis Massachusetts. We can't wait till August to see you in Providence RI, and in June or July at Women of Faith in Boston. And yes we will be cruising down in the van with...you guessed it,Starbuck's Grande, white chocolate mocha with Beth in the CD player. Can you picture it?

I would pass out if I saw Beth Moore at a Starbucks! Or I would start shouting "GLORY"!
Have you seen all the stories lately about the ministry opportunities at Starbucks?
I LOVE Starbucks!
