Just a note to say that I am reading about getting out of the pit. What a great book. Helps me and I know it will help me minister to others. Beth, I felt your struggle as you wrote it. I am glad you are transparent. I am praying for you. Be strong and know that many are supporting you and loving you. Thanks for being a voice to us and for encouraging us to be women of God. Just to let you know, I laughed out loud when I saw the name of your latest book. I've been telling my Bible study group I've been in a "pit" for the last year. I've also told them I kind of like the pit--it's warm and comfortable there! Then, I saw the title of your book and it was like the voice of God. Thanks for staying connected to Him so you can help all of us maintain our connections. You're amazing and I can't wait to hand out with you in heaven (I wonder if we'll still have our Arkansas accents?)

I can't tell you how I have had to SIT ON MY HANDS to keep from running back to my blog and posting "HEY! GUESS WHO HAS A BLO(B)!" But after reading Beth's post yesterday, it seems like this is your quiet corner (at least for now) - and honey, if anyone deserves a quiet corner, it's you two! Soak up this sweet fellowship. It never fails, Beth, the Lord uses you to touch my heart so deeply....last night I sat down with my new book...Get Out of the Pit... and couldn't get through the intro and acknowledgements without using a box of tissue. Your Keith's comments were precious to me; you are so blessed. Thanks for this blog. Thank you Amanda for helping your mama with this. It's great. I love you all so much. Thanks for coming closer to all your girl friends.

This is one blog I will be checking out regularly. All the comments here express everything I too want to say. To save time because we all have very little of it these days. Can I get an AMEN! I just have to say I agree with the comment, how does a grandmother look 30. I love your hair (I cracked up about a hair story you told about being away from civilization and how devastating it was not to be able to do your hair), you are for REAL and I can relate. Most of all I love your studies and I am totally entranced during each session. You speak to my heart and I know without a doubt the Spirit is your guide and God is at work.

Dear Beth, I don't know much about blogging and just found yours today. HALLELUJAH! What a blessing to hear from you in such a personal way, buddy to buddy! I love the hair stuff too (esp in Patriarchs!:)!:) Anyway, I hope you see this - there is so much I want to say but I WILL be brief. More later on this but I think we may be related-physically & spiritually! And just today God impressed upon me to share this with you. We recently lunched with our former pastor and now FT missionaries in Zambia, Africa - Shawna & Daren Davis (Kim Davis' BIL & SIL). They love your studies but only have the workbooks. THAT WAS JUST UNACCEPTABLE! So I gave them my DVD's on Believing God, Patriarchs, & Daniel to take with them to Africa. I thought - what an outreach of your ministry if these materials could be given to missionaries in foreign countries! Daren & Shawna almost got into Voices of the Faithful but were edited out. LOVE YOU MUCHLY! Ann

I just want to say:I Love you! I landed on "wednesdays with Beth" about three months ago and I can't get enough! It's on once a week for a half hour, but in that time, it's like you are talking specifically to me! You have taught me to trust in God, that He has a plan for my life! I am and have been in the deepest pit for about three years now and I just don't know how to get out(I NEED TO GET AND READ YOUR BOOK!)I am trying my hardest to hear what God wants me to do, but SATAN is too loud! Anyway, just listening to you speak
about God's word and His love, keeps me pursuing Him and not giving up! Thank you SOOO much! It's truly a blessing to have a beautiful, loving, down-to-earth sister like you,helping us women to keep loving the Lord!

I've taken such good advantage of our Ice Storm of 2007. Oklahoma is FROZEN! Since Friday mid afternoon my family of four has been home...how wonderful! I've caught up on a mountain of laundry. NOT this gals favorite hobby! I've organized our grocery list. (don't yawn)...this was real important to me. I'm an ADD grocery store shopper. I truly just glaze over when it comes to shopping and I overspend and then come home wondering what's for dinner! Now I am loaded up with my January organizational skills and going to get this done right! My sweet husband is so impressed with me. He even let me organize some stuff for him. I think he did that just to entertain himself, since he's been cooped up too...but just a while ago I noticed he had the planner page I created for him printed and in his work papers. I guess I'm feeling pretty good about myself and feeling all fresh and new in January. I love when I get in this zone. I pray for everyone to be safe and warm during our harsh Winter Blasts. Be Careful!!

Hello Everyone, Good Morning to You! Are we supposed to write about random blessings going on in our lives? I think so...so I will share something fun. You know when you change a light bulb that's been burned out. You can shake that thing and it rattles...that way you know it's toast and you need a new one. Well, God himself has noticed my light has been burned out for a while. I was still sitting there looking the part tho! I have heard My Heavenly Father rattle my light bulb this week. His faithful and loving hands replaced the old with the new and I like it! Thank You Father. You care about me, you are in the Maintenance Profession. I like having myself touched by the Master and become useful again.

Since this network of sisters is available to me (Glory to God), may I ask for prayer? Experiencing some anxiety in my parenting. Wanting to control everything! Can anyone relate and speak some truth over me? Because I know God has not given me a Spirit of fear, there is only one explanation - The Enemy! Please pray that I can make healthy choices for my boys with pure motives that are God directed.

Praise God, He gives us what we need when we need it. I just have to tell you that yesterday, when I drove to Bible study, I was absolutely crippled with anxiety because this morning, I have to go to a civil trial on my first hotly contested case as an attorney. What was the very first ailment of the heart that Beth covered in Wising Up? ANXIETY! Thank you Beth and God for your precious words and scripture notes for this David to face Goliath. P.S.
