Good morning, my favorite blog community on the planet!
The "Moore" girls are all together at a rented beach house having the best time! AJ, Melissa, Annabeth and I got here yesterday and all the boys will join us tomorrow. Til then, girls just wanna have fun. We've already laughed like crazy, made a ton of fun of each other (it's usually AJ and Lis making fun of me in particular but I got in a few good ones). We also got especially tickled at Annabeth who was in her jammies last night at about 10:30, sitting on our laps in the den where we were watching TV. She was smiling big enough to eat a baby elephant, squealing, kicking her legs and looking from one of us to the another - Mommy, Aunt Lissy, and Bibby - as if she were about to bust out with "Par-tay! Par-tay! Par-tay!" She's just killer cute. AJ brought her camera so we'll try to post some pictures while we're here. AJ and I brought our "Me, Myself and Lies" workbooks so we won't fall behind. A five day stint is way too long to take a vacation from the Word lest our men arrive to the 3 Brides of Frankenstein. I am not sure what Melissa brought for spiritual enrichment but I saw her Greek New Testament in there by her bed. Maybe we can spend some rich devotional time parsing verbs this morning.
Speaking of "Me, Myself and Lies," AJ got an email from Jennifer Rothschild's husband yesterday saying that she is going to be on the Dr. Phil show this very day. Can you believe your summer Bible study teacher is going to be on network television like that? I think I'm scheduled to be on Jerry Springer at some point with my family. I'll keep you posted on when. We're waiting for a couple of situations to come to a head.
OK, we're going for a walk and I need to get Annabeth's diaper changed and her swim suit on if I can bear the love. I also need to pull Melissa's hind end out of the bed. We did not come here to sleep. We came here to "Par-tay!" I'll check in with you really soon so that, just in case you didn't get to head to a beach with a temperate climate of 105 degrees for the Fourth, you can live vicariously through the Siestas Sledge.
We love you, Darling Things. I especially do but I only get to say that because neither AJ or Melissa know I'm posting this.

Have an absolute blast with your family, Beth!!! quick story, to let you know what a powersource my Scripture memory cards have been lately. Yesterday, I went to the Dr. to do the "Annual Thing" check up. While waiting in my "gown" I went through my cards and kept going over them. As she was checking me out, she found something....needless to say I have a mammogram and ultrasound scheduled in two weeks. What a blessing to have my cards with me before, and after the appt. The verse that I kept going over was Psalm 18:2: "The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer, my God is my Rock in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stonghold." amen. thank you for initiating the Scripture memory verse idea. Absolutely awesome. love, Pam in San Diego
I'm thankful that the "Siestas Sledge" think of us when they sing "We are Family" - it's almost like being there, except for no sand, no diapers and no Greek New Testament. :o)
I just love you all like crazy.
Melinda
Have a wonderful time at the beach, you sweet things! And yes, please post some photos. I think we are going to Mexico Beach in FL for a week in August; I cannot wait!
Love and hugs,
Adrienne
Beth, you're so funny. The Jerry Springer thing is cracking me! We are going to spend a relaxing evening at home b/c I'm leaving this coming week for WV. You know the runway in Charleston is super short (b/c you've been there). It can only take jets and prop planes. They can't take our dog, so I am making the road trip with our son and dog. Pray for me! It's 18 hrs, but I'm stopping 1/2 way to spend the night, of course. I hate running errands, but love road trips.
I can't wait to see all the pictures from your beach trip. I hope you all have the funnest (not a word) time! I'll be keeping up wiht my Bible versus and Bible study while I'm in WV. I have to truck it to the local library b/c my relatives give their computers away everytimes someone buys one for them.
I would love to be soaking in the salt water and breeze right now, but the Neti Pot will have to do. In this nasty weather, I'm using it like 3-4 times a day. I know that's not TMI for you, ha ha. I look forward to jumping in Summersville Lake, it's awesome. Clearest lake east of the Mississippi b/c they drain it every year for rafting season. I am a lake girl.
Okay, I've rambled enough. Just waiting on Riley to eat and then a gazillion errands before a nice last weekend with my hubby before I take off for awhile. I'm not doing this next summer. People are going to have to truck it here! I know how you feel about Annabeth, it makes my heart smile. My #1 thing on my list is to see my niece, Bella Grace. Oh, I'm DYING to see and squeeze her.
Anyhow, have a beautiful time and the 3 Brides of Frankanstein cracked me up. Have fun partying. Be sure to dance a lot!
How fun Beth, enjoy!!!
The joys that family time can bring - enjoy yourself girls! Times with my girls and now my grandkids are the BEST!
Oh what fun! I am doing the exact same thing week after next with my 3 girls and 5 grandbabies! The guys will join us after a couple of days of girl time! Enjoy very minute Bethie!
lots of love,
Martha in MS
Beth, loved your Jerry Springer comment :) I agree, you need to get your daughter out of bed as soon as possible & show her that her Mom is ready to rock and roll! :) Have a great time!
Sweet Beth, you are hilarious!!! Wish I could sneak to the beach also! haven't been there for years, and really love it! But I live about 16 hours inland. sooo.... hope you guys enjoy it for those of us that can't go!
I am still waiting for my MML book! looking forward to getting started and caught up!
Enjoy the relief of the heat, and don't have a dull moment! LIKE that is likely with you and the girls!
love you bunches!

Gee, it was 69 degrees when I got out of bed this morning. Not suppose to be above 89 today. Have fun with the girls. Waiting to see the pics! Thanks for loving us, you know we love you back.
Jan
Beth, I have to ask you a question. On the first SSBS you had on long sleeves. How can you do that in Houston? Being from Texas and living in Kansas I get made fun of when I say it is a little chilly out tonight (it's usually about 77 when my friend and I walk in the evening). Just wondering:)
Nate's looking at me wondering why I'm cracking up ... parsing the verbs for our devo time....yes you can in Jesus' sweet name :)
have a blast
Thank you again, like a lot of Siestas have said before, for just the fun post about your real lives.
Happy 4th of July!
Sounds like you gals are having a blast. Can't wait to see you on springer. Ha
Par-tay on...just post those pictures!!
I hope y'all have a BLAST!
Oh what incredible fun you will have!! You are the funnest people - really you are. Even if it is only through web-world that we get to join you from time-to-time.
Have a wonderful time. Ya'll (that's for you Beth) deserve it so much. May God pour out some incredibly special times for you and your family.
With much love,

LAUGHING ----- now, sleep is good on vacation so give Auntie Lissy a bit of a break!
Have a great time and I so do not envy you - the beach is not my forte, but the mountains ---- that is another thing!
Freedom is never free . . .
Happy 4th to the Siestas Sledge and the newest 'bow adorned' Baby Siesta! Enjoy the beach this weekend--what a great place to be. I think we're going to a new-to-us lake in the area so hopefully it will be a little cooler. This 105 degree weather is a bit of Texas trivia I don't remember growing up here!! Not in June anyway--I remember some HOT Augusts, but I agree with Amanda, does this mean August is going to be like October?
Have a great time and enjoy those men when they get to join you!
Lovin y'all,
Enjoy this special time with your family! I look forward to seeing photos! Wear sunscreen!!! HAVE FUN!
"we did not come here to sleep"...sounds like my husband..LOL! Beth and all the Moore clan....have a happy and blessed 4th of July...and...PAR-TAY,PAR-TAY, PAR-TAY!!! Love all of you...

You are WAY TOO funny!!!! Thank you ALL for being SO REAL.....

How fun is that? I hope your entire family makes some awesome memories this weekend. One of our favorite vacations was to Destin, FL a few years ago for Thanksgiving. We cooked up some of the best shrimp for that Thanksgiving Day Feast! You girls enjoy your time before the guys arrive and go get a pedicure together. Don’t worry Beth, my sis and I get some jokes in on our mom, too! You shouldn’t feel alone there, girl!
You guys are awesome! Have a great time
splashing around and living in Him!
Love,
Michele
Ah, I'm jealous! I wish I could be there. My mother, sister, and I took my 15month old to the beach a few weeks ago and I absolutely did Not want to leave. All we do is gush over him and laugh at each other but it's added fun when you're away from home on vacation!
Thank you for letting us have a peak into your family fun!
PS-Make sure you've got a strong manicure for your appearance on Jerry! Claws come out ya know. Even though I know you're not a "mean girl" (just studied that in Esther last week)someone in your family might be :-)

Have a wonderful time with your family, Beth!!! PAR-TAY!! It sounds like the most fabulous time. :D
Keep it on the up and up. We really don't want to see y'all on Jerry Springer!!! LOL!!
Look forward to hearing all about it, and seeing pictures.
Sweet Blessings to you,

You are hillarious and we love you. Have a fabulous time with your family.

Oh, have fun for me! No vacay this summer for this Siesta...helping take care of my 80 year old Grandaddy. Splash some salt water for me and have a blast! Every Siesta, especially you, deserves a little girl therapy! Enjoy!
Nice:)
BTW, for the siestas to know I am looking at some airfares for January, and they aren't bad:)
I can't believe #13 was yesterday!
Looking forward to Deeper Still in Orlando:)
Be Blessed:)

Can you please let us know when Springer will air? I'm the only loser in the US without DVR but dern if I won't get it to make sure I DO NOT miss that episode. :))))
Now that I think of it, my family could probably help you fill up that hour.
Just have your people call my people.
Y'all have a fabulous time!!
Sounds like so much fun! So Much! We Love You, tooo... "Moore" Girls. ;)
HAVE A BLAST!!!!!!! :O) and PAR-TAY for us, haha!!!!

Too funny! Have a great rest or par-tay :) (my side says go-go-go and my husband's side says rest-rest-rest!)
I won't have my older girls with me this 4th, first time ever - I don't know if I like this progression towards empty nest!
Have a fun, fun time!
love
mk
A beach house...sigh. That's what I call a real party. With your girls and grandbaby. Score!!!
I shall be on the Springer episode right after yours ;).
One of my bible study ladies is going to come over here and post something to you, Mama Siesta, about week 5 of Esther's video session. I'm so excited one of them will be here!
I told them the story about the lady in DC saying "I google you" and everyone pointed to this one lady in our group b/c she googles everything! She google you too!
I know y'all are having a blast and I'm so glad you're getting to spend time together! My husband is coming home tomorrow and we'll have a couple of days w/o anyone else around! My oldest daughter (16 years old and always reminds me of Melissa when you share M stories) has been in Costa Rica on a mission trip and gets back home Sunday night. I CAN.NOT.WAIT.TO.HEAR.HER.STORY!!!! It's times like this that make me wish she was a writer so I'd know she journaled all about it!
Ok, enough ramble. I must get back to work.
I LOVE EACH OF YOU and look forward to pictures!!!!
(I'm giggling at Melinda's comment...it almost like being there...)
Dreaming of the Beach
What is it about the beach that makes me feel closer to God. The beautiful sand, the crashing waves. And why is it that when I am away from it, I long to be there. Is it because I am a California Girl. I spent many summers with my best friend at the beach. I have such fond memories of waking up hearing the waves beckoning us, burning my self to a crisp, bon fires, hunting for both cute boys and beautiful shells. I have been blessed to see different beaches in my life and they're all so unique and beautiful. How is that? How can the same ocean produce different sand.
My most recent visit just a few weeks ago was at Pismo Beach and the sand felt like velvet. I couldn't stop touching it. I put my blanket down and dug my holes so my body could conform to the sand. Felt the beautiful warm sun on my body. Watching the birds snuggle down in the sand around me to take a siesta as well, felt the cool breeze off the ocean pass over me. It was heaven. Since we left I have been looking for every opportunity to go back.
Alot of my dreams from the Lord are around the beach. I had a dream many years ago of me and this man so in love with each other. He was all these good qualities rolled up into one man. I just kept thinking he is soooo good. We were at the beach during the dream and he turned to me and said "I am going to go and prepare our wedding and make all the arrangements and then come back to get you." It was one of those dreams that you deeply feel it and started to wake up and I didn't want to wake up. When I did and recounted the dream I realized it was Jesus.
LOL...have a blast!
And please do check in since the weather here in Vermont is nothing but rainy and 60's and hearing some more 'greetings from the beach' sure would be nice!... maybe with some verbs from the New Testament...:)
I actually thought it was so cool to learn in the SSBS what Thesaurus really meant or is.
Blessings,
Michelle in VT
We are headed to the beach tomorrow! Gulf Shores hwere we come!
I also just bought my tickets for your Memphis event. I cannot wait!!
Where are you gals? If you are anywhere near Panama City Beach there are a couple of Siestas that would LOVE to treat you to lunch!!

I pray that y'all just have the best time! I love the beach- my all time favorite place to vacay!
We are head to Colorado to see my youngest daughter and her family where they are working.
Taking my study though - gotta keep at it!
Mama Beth

Can't wait to see some photos. Keep cool and enjoy.

1. To Pam in San Diego, I'm praying for you.
2. Beth, I thank God for your delightful sense of humor. So many times laughing at something you say has been very good for my soul!
3. Happy July 4th! The 4th is hubby's and my 17th wedding anniversary!!!
Love to all...
Betty in NC
Have fun, girls!!! :) Love the beach!
Our family does that every couple of years, too. This summer, we're skipping the beach and going to Colonial Williamsburg. It will be fun, but I am a water bug... May have to hit Water Country while we're there... or go over to York (they've redone that -- lots of quaint shops and restaurants -- beautiful) or VA Beach for a little sand and sun while we're there ... :)
Loved your post, Beth! Have a wonderful time with your precious ones.
I watched a couple of clips of Jennifer on youtube just this morning- I am loving her MM&L study, but didn't know her story! What an amazing, amazing woman of God. Thank you for introducing me to her. I will look for her on Dr. Phil.
Meanwhile- stay hydrated!
Love,
Fran
Gulf Shores
Enjoy the beach! and please all of you girls use LOTS of sunscreen! Praying that you all have a blessed and relaxing fourth!
Hi Beth,
Hope you have fund at the beach with your family. We rented an 8 bedroom, 8 bath beach house in Destin, FL the last week of May. We had 20 people. Just our immediate family. MY husband, myself, 5 children, 3 chidren-spouses, 1 boyfriend and 9 grandchildren. We stayed a whole week. Had a blast. No fussing (among the adults). Have a good time.
Shelya
You gals are a hoot, hoot, hoot!!
I loved the image of Annabeth thoroughly enjoying all of the girly company :) :) :) Have a WONDERFUL time and stay safe this 4th! (Remember, hair products can be extremely flammable!)
<3 <3 <3
Beth,
I love you to pieces. You are so funny. I look forward to your posts! You always make my day brighter.
Let's just say that yesterday was icky for me. Jerry Springer would have a field day with my family!
I am glad that today is a new day and I can begin again starting with your post. Thanks...
Kels
k-here is a giggle... it was at ladies retreat a few years back, the hr was late and we 6 women were snug in our bunks chatting in the dark. we some how got on the conversation that prompted my dear friend to mention JERRY's show (there is quietness between comments because we are starting to doze off) that's when i broke the silent darkness with I LOVE CRAMER. well my dear friend informed me she meant SPRINGER! the dark quiet room then roared in laughter! till this day i will text her random CRAMER comments like when i was just in NY i had to inform her i was in CRAMER'S neighborhood. nothin like a good laugh. Hey will you pray for my mom phyllis and dad ernie mom just got diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme. she has mentored many women and has been blessed herself going thru the word with your studies. she says..."i am good if i go and good if i stay. what ever the LORD wills." bless you!!!
and as a beach girl myself ENJOY!!!
lovin life in HIM-lisa

Oh, Beth, you crack me up!! ha ha...love it!
Oh, you make me long for my kids to be grown and go on vacation with me???? And they are only 11, 8,8, and 6. Do you think they will wanna, when their momma is older?
We spent a week at a beach house earlier this summer, but all got the flu and I got to clean up more middle of the night messes then I like to remember. I may need to get me another dose of the Beach.
Blessings to the Moore extended family!
I love it! I am so glad you got to go! Can't wait to see pics! I wish I could be a fly on the wall with those discussions about Jesus and all of the laughter! I love you all!!
Your joy makes me want to cry.
Shelly
I love this post! I'm heading out on a girls vacation too, with 2 of my granddaughters, heading to my sister's, we'll have a blast. They are 9 & 10 and are great friends so I'm really looking forward to our trip. Don't know how I would survive in 105 degree heat?!? I love the Jerry Springer comment!! One of my sons once told me our life was like a soap opera! - that was not the best time in our lives but we could at least laugh about some of it! I am taking my Bible study and my scripture cards with me!! Have a great time with your family.
Sounds like a wonderful time. Enjoy every moment and don't forget the sunscreen :D
much love,
tammy
Beth, it sounds like you're doing all my favorite things: walking on the beach (God in all His glory!); parsing verbs in Greek (the Word in all its/His glory); changing diapers (love/mercy in all its glory!); and being a Bride of Frankenstein (a real woman in all her glory)!!! I'm going to the beach in North Carolina in a coupla weeks, and I always tell my husband not to expect any makeup while I'm there! But I have YOU on my iPod (Esther and Daniel) so he won't even have to talk to me on the beach -- I'll be filling my head and heart with wonderful teaching! I can't wait!
Have a blast!
Pat
Well then Mamma Siesta Sledge... I hope your family is going to have fun with the memories you are making. This siesta is driving to Houston to be with my family and my little grandbaby!!!
Take lots of pictures so you can share with us and have a grand time loving all the girls and those boys too when they get there.
Thanks for sharing your family with us.
Lichelle
A very special July 4th for us as we (our family) fly to Houston from PA for our son's wedding. He is marrying a Houston girl and we love her and her family so much! There is such joy in the air when to godly people who really love each other and the Lord get together! I just can't express the happiness we are feeling. Just needed to share it!
Have so much fun!
I can't wait to see you girls duke it out on Jerry Springer! lol Prepare to have that great hair messed up! Such a quality program. :)
I always hear the extra happiness in your "voice" when you blog with your daughters around!!
I feel the same way - it's just the best time ever.
I just got an e-mail from AJ that she wrote on your laptop. ;) I'm feeling a little bit special.
HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!! In fact, I'm stopping to pray right now that God blesses you guys like crazy this weekend!
HUGS!! And Happy Independence Day!!
Blast out loud!
My sister and I will be going to Branson and just resting and visiting mainly.
She has never been so she will be in for a treat.
I'm with Melissa.....sleep! Oh how us girls need our beauty sleep!
P.S. Beth, did you remember to pack your "Living Proof Anti Frizz Duo" from QVC?
OH. MY. WORD!!!! THe "waiting for a few situations to come to a head" line had me ROLLIN! I think I even snorted a couple times - which always makes my baby girl laugh at her mama.
I Hope that y'all are havin the time of your life! So sweet to just BE together! I go back and forth between anxiously awaiting the day my girls are old enough to share these kinds of memories and anxiously praying that Jesus comes back before they're teenagers!
Love to ALL of you Moore girls! Cannot wait to see the pics!
Beth, what does a conversation between a Greek tote'en and verb passing around sound like???!!! I don't think I'll ever hear, let alone engage in one. Memorizing scripture is about all i can take!
Enjoy your time with your loved ones and especially the grans.
Oh...you girls are going to have so much fun! Enjoy your girl time before the boys get there :)
I want so badly to get out to the beach before having to go back to school! I can't believe that summer vacation is already at the half way mark!
Can't wait to see the pics Amanda.
And Beth...let Melissa sleep a little. The girls brain is always going so I assume that she needs a little extra shut eye!
Much love to you girls!
"Siestas Sledge" - love it! Have a great 4th with your family! I wanted to let you know that the song you posted on "A Greeting and a Song" is now going to be what my sister and I are at singing at my brother's wedding. I'd never heard of it before until I saw it on your blog. I liked it so I sent it to my brother and his fiance (who have been struggling with finding the right wedding music) - and they loved it. So thanks, Beth!!
Howdy Hey Beth, Amanda, Melissa & family! ... beach... 105 heat... hummm? could you possibly be down in my neck of the woods ~ "Body of Christ" Texas (Corpus Christ). What a great place to be if you are! Where ever you all are spending your time, have a wonderful weekend and stay safe (you really don't want too much "stuff" to give Jerry Springer for your stint on his show : ) you are too funny, Beth!
Love y'all, you're in my prayers!
Teri in Corpus Christi
Beth,
Sounds like you girls are having a great time! Soak up some sun for me, but be sure to use sunscreen! Can't wait to see some pics! Have a great 4th weekend everyone! Joan
Whoa! That sounds so fun! Hope you have tons of fun and dooooo send some photos.
Carla Lee
Sounds like you guys are having a great time. BTW, I've been doing MML with my church group and on Tues. we heard the session 5 type. I have to tell you that I about died laughing when she referred to you, Beth, as the "Queen Mother of Bible studies". She is a hoot and, of course, so are you!! Have fun!
Have a wonderful time together, Ladies!!! Instead of a beach house, our little family of four is headed over to Green Bay to celebrate Independence Day -- the birthplace, I believe, of our very own and very dear Siesta mama! And while in GB, I hope to finally get a ticket for the LPL conference there in late August. {Oh, my sweet mother-in-law would want me to interject here that she was toward the center of the front row of the picture of a group of ladies that was sent to you asking you to come to Green Bay. She and her buddies were thrilled to pieces that you scheduled an event there and actually wrote a handwritten note back to the group. You'd love her. Glenda Jeanne. A treasure. :)}
Grace, peace, joy, many belly laughs, and the warmth of sand between your toes.
Linda in MN
We are also headed to the beach next weekend, I (grammy) have been busy buying up all the pails and shovels, frisbees, and floaties I can find.... scarfing up all the snacks and drinks and beach towels too!!!!! My daughter is doing Esther, my daughter in-love doing "Me, Myself, and Lies" and baby daughter doing some "Precepts" Bible Study I don't know which, I am in Colossians so we are all over the place Biblically speaking. All the kids are boys...2, 5, 24, 29, 34, 58....and they are all too much fun (not all grandkids, some are husbands and gramps) I need a granddaughter really bad!!!! So dear friends soak up the Word and the Son. I am thinking about making myself one of those blog things and giving up the anonymous persona. Shalom
i am SO happy for y'all - you girls :)
i hope that God blesses your hats off... (that would mean you have quite the much-needed refreshing breeze!)
July 4th is one of my favorite holidays. i am thrilled for you, that you are all getting to celebrate it together, as a family. it just makes my heart happy ~ <3
i love how you never fail to impress, always leaving such a great impression on others - because you're real. :)
your 4th of July beach trip reminded me of
the song by Nichole Nordeman called "Every Season"...

Praying y'all have a MOORE-velous time! You know I love to call you the MoJoFitz's so I'll be praying for you by that all-encompassing name. Please let Melissa sleep in...that brain of hers must need some good re-booting sleep if she's got Greek on the nightstand. Have fun and PLEASE send those of us stuck in 105 degree heat without an ocean view some pictures.
Well, I don't mean to spoil your fun, but I'd like to remind you all that I'm going to a memorial service this afternoon for a 28-year-old teacher who was murdered last week. Her husband was arrested and charged with murder 1.
They must have found some pretty hard evidence for that conviction and I am struggling with a lot of anger towards him, so please pray for me and everyone else who was close to her and her family.
What a darling baby. She already knows in her spirit how important it is to spend time with the girls! I am so glad you have gotten to spend some quality time together. Have fun on your holiday. We will be traveling over the weekend. California bound. We will be there for a month while I cook meals ahead for my parents and visit with my sister and brother. We havent all been together in about 20 years. About time huh? Lots of love to you all. And Beth, While I am thinking about it. I wanted to tell you that the Esther study truely, truely saved my life!!! I have been a Christian for more years than I can count, during your study the pieces finally all fell together for me and I have finally, finally given Him everything. When I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. Through you God healed me of the stronghold of fear and self condemnation!! Praise Him on High forever!!! Thank you for letting his spirit flow through you to us!!
April S. Port Orchard WA
And this siesta loves yall too! :) Happy Beach trip. My family and I are going on a mission trip to AZ!
So much fun! I'm so glad ya'll are having such a wonderful time!
I'm learning much through "Living Beyond Yourself" right now...it's kind of weird to see you on screen and then come on the blog and hear from you in real time...but fun too. God is definitely moving in my heart through this study!! Praise Him!
Thank you for your continued commitment to Him and to your fellow women (and especially your Siestas!). I thank Him for you often, Miss Beth.
Have a super-terrific time together, girls! I wonder if your guys are somewhere being equally silly? Hmmm...it's at least fun to picture!
Have fun! Laughing so hard about Jerry Springer!
Ya'll Moore girls are just so darn cute. I know ya'll will have a wonderful time together at the beach. I'm remodeling a house with my husband in Fairbanks, AK and I must say I have had a great time with him. I've never helped before like this but it's been great just being with him and chatting about God all at the same time. Love all ya'll siestas, Mary anne
Oooh, have fun at the beach y'all! We are having a heat wave here in the UK and I would love to relaxing on a beach somewhere!!! Hope you have a blast!
I am *hoping* to come to the Siesta Scripture event in January, we will be on furlough at that time in Dallas...amen and yahoo. Which reminds me, I forgot to sign in yesterday....
Blessings to y'all!
Such a God thing -- I read this post 5 minutes before Jennifer Rothschild appeared on Dr. Phil -- which I would not have had on if not for your heads up, so thank you.
Have a great time at the beach. I was blessed with family trip to the beach in April. It is just as hot here (New Orleans) as Houston so I feel your pain with the summer heat.
Wear sunscreen, laugh lots and post those pics. Thank you for including the siestas on your vacation.
We love you madly!
Happy 4th!
elaine
Me to self, " I think I will take a little break, drink a glass of tea, read the LPM blog."
Read, read, read,
Get to the Jerry Springer part and get tickled. Then get hysterical imagining Beth on Jerry Springer. Man you are funny.
Jill S
Thank you so much for making us a part of your "everyday" lives. We love the stories about the dogs, kids and grandkids.
Have so much fun at that sweet ole' Galveston beach!! I escaped the heat and came to Colorado with the fam. Currently all the girls have escaped so we can all get mani's and pedi's, and of course, we too have laughed our ever living heads off. Especially last night when I tried yoga with them for the first time. It was a sight to behold! Okay, enough talk. Have to go let my toes dry! Y'all have a blast! Love to each of you!
Have a wonderful time at the beach and Happy 4th of July to your sweet family!!
Love you,
Patty
Have a wonderful time at the beach and Happy 4th of July to your sweet family!!
Love you,

I have never visited a "blog" site before, but I have done many of your Bible studies over the years. IF THERE IS A BETTER PLACE TO SEND THIS COMMENT ALONG, PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING AT THE LIFEWAY SITE. I am currently doing "Esther" and my study group and I have a comment/question. The NIV Study Bible mentions that Vashti's third son Artaxerxes (who later became King after Xerxes and is mentioned in Ezra)was born 484/483 B.C., which is approximately the same time that Vashti was disposed. This suggests that Vashti was very likely pregnant when her husband called for her to appear at his banquet. We wonder, why was this not mentioned in the study? We'll be meeting until the first couple of weeks of August. Thanks.
Beth, Melissa, AJ and AnnaBeth-have a wonderful time and don't get too much sun. You guys crack me up! I am holding my breath for the Jerry Springer event!!!! heheheheheh!
blessings on all of you and when your men arrive, splash a few laughs on them as well.
I can just hear you guys singing(siesta sledge)!!!!!
love you
P.S. Speaking of Greek, I almost chose the color "It's all Greek to me!" for my toes, but chose "You're such a kabuki gueen" instead. I now will the Greek color to Melissa. It's just so fitting.
P.S.S. I am also hoping now that kabuki means nothing bad or dirty, because I have no idea. And if it is something bad, I'd rather not be the queen of it! Ha!
So glad you are having a party with the best girls in the world.
Here is a cheer for you to perform for your men!

Much love and many laughs!
I bet you all have had so much fun! I would love to be at the beach this weekend, but we are preparing for our nieces and nephew to come stay with us for nearly two weeks. (Mom and Dad are going to Turkey on a mission trip) I'm going to need serious prayer....2 sets of twins (12 and 4) plus my two. A total of 5 girls and one boy. It's going to be fun?!?!?! I have no idea what to do with a little boy! Guess I'm going to learn on the fly. :)
Have fun and in that heat, for heaven's sake.....wear your sunscreen!!!!
I'll eat some homemade vanilla ice cream for you all and pretend you are here in HOT Kansas.
Pat from Kansas
Too funny. My sister calls me "Sledge" all the time! Have a blessed vacation. True freedom rocks!! Dana
YOU ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST BETH!! :) A BEACH TRIP WITH YOU SOUNDS AWESOME!
It sounds like so much fun Beth - 105 degrees and all. What's a little heat when all the girls can be together.
Have a wonderful time!
Oh, Beth. If you ever go on Springer, you can know that my family will be on the very next episode. The latest? My niece is in a shelter for unwed mothers, getting her act together and presumably hiding from her abusive boyfriend. Apparently, he's found her because his face showed up in the window a few weeks ago. My niece's roommate (who also just gave birth a few months ago) is a former street-kid from Memphis and I guess she decided that she'd had enough foolishness, so she went out after Spoon (yes, that's his nickname) with a baseball bat.
Picture six-foot Spoon fleeing the premises chased by five-foot Baby-Mama with a baseball bat, and you have a picture of what our life has been like lately.
Enjoy the beach . . . and the girl-time!
Enjoy the beach! We are beside ourselves....our son who is serving in Afghanistan will be heading home for his 15 day leave around July 20! We'll all head to the beach for a few days! Pray that his flights will not be delayed--his 15 days begin once he hits US soil. Thanks!
Yeah! The beach is the best. Have lots of fun!
I started the Bible Study today, better a little late than never. I am in love with it already. I can't wait to see what things God has waiting for me to learn and grow from.
Blessings

Hi Beth, Amanda, and Melissa!! I can't tell you how greatful I am for your ministy. God has used Beth's studies to RADICALLY change and fire up my walk. I LOVE Jesus so incredibly very much because of His work through Beth. How incredibly cool is He through YOU?! WOW!!!!!! This is my first post... I'm trying to figure out how to work this thing...
Your girls weekend sounds like a blast. I love hanging with my sister and mom too, they are my most favorite people in the world. much love in Christ sisters. Kate Anderson - Toledo OH, age 27
I always knew you loved us best, Beth. :)
Rebekah
Haha! I'm trying to picture you on Jerry Springer, Beth! Lol! "Today on Jerry Springer: Esteemed Bible teacher Beth Moore and family...", and I'm sure at some point in the show you'd bring the discussion around to God. It would be a very interesting episode! It reminds me of Christmas with my family a year and a half ago. Apparently when my mom had been babysitting my 2-yr.-old cousin, someone called while she was flipping through channels and the tv was on Jerry Springer for a little while. At Christmas, my cousin hopped up on his new tricycle, threw his fist in the air, and sat there chanting, "Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!" It was hilarious! I hope you all have a great time at the beach! God bless!
What fun!
Sunscreen! (SPF 30, at least)
A frisbee!
Watermelon!
A Drifters CD!
Plenty of sweet tea!
Hope you brought all of the above!
Have a great time!
Have a Wonderful time with your family. I hope that God will richly bless your time together.
I also just wanted to let Melissa know, since I know from reading the blog that she has a Compassion child in Colombia, that I am going on an advocacy tour with Compassion, to Colombia with Compassion starting on July 18th. If anyone feels led to pray for our trip, I would be very honoured.
Have Fun, I just returned from Galveston and the ocean does restore the soul- even a 104 day and brown sand- enjoy some good seafood and a listen to those waves- some of my happiest memories are when I was at the beach with my grandmother- Enjoy and God Bless each of you! Your Austin Siesta
Beth - AJ - Melissa - Annabeth:
So blessed that you took time to bless us with this post - even while you are away with the girls for a beach trip!
I just know in my soul that you will have a blast - laughing over silly things and just being together. (Hey Beth - I know my boys make fun of me too - I don't give a flying flip! I know they love me...just like your girls love you too!)
So good of the men folks to let y'all get a headstart - now that IS a blessing.
I just came in from my Dad's garden where it was 98 degrees... he and my Mom are cooling it in the mountains of NC and I picked corn, squash, okra and blackberries. I made some of the best blackberry preserves yesterday - this time just got enough for a cobbler for the Fourth of July!
Smiling big enough to eat a baby elephant - now that was cute! That Annabeth is in store for so much JOY!
Bethie - Bethie - Bethie - Bethie..
That's what we would be yelling if you were on Springer...HAHAHAHA!
Love y'all -
Wear your sunblock!
GJ
I love it! Do let us know when you are on Jerry Springer, I would not want to miss that for the world =)-
Yay for a vacation with your favorite people!
How fun!
Y'all enjoy!!!
Beth, I needed a good laugh today and nice smile on my face from your post today. Been a gloomy day here, now its better. Thanks alot!
Beth, this has nothing to do with the beach, but I just had to thank you! I have been struggling with what I believe are "Words" sent to me from our Lord- however, I was beginning to doubt I had heard correctly- My trust factor was beginning to go into the "tank"- Your session 2 of LifeOneHundredFold was an answer to prayer and an encouragement as if you had prepared that lesson just for me- thanks more than we can ever express for your willingness to share your God given abilities, humor and love for the Body of Christ- I pray God's abundant blessings, especially FUN for you and your loved ones, Your beach loving Austin Siesta
Best wishes to "y'all" - enjoy your vacation!
Beth, I just about hurt myself laughing over the Jerry Springer comment, I would love to see pictures of that sweet baby. I'm a little baby crazy if you can't tell.
What a great idea to get in a day or two before the menfolk join you! Did you succeed in getting Melissa out of bed? Is your nickname - She Who is Not to Be Denied?
I know that you will all have a great time. Nothing like the beach.
I want to be in your family.
Blessings,
Sandy
Have a great time! I love watching the sun come up over the ocean.
How could anyone doubt we have a divine Creator after seeing that?
Can't wait to see pictures.
Love ya!
Oh what fun!!!! Happy 4th to all of you!
Love the girl time!! I've only been married 2 years, but have secretly asked God for at least one little girl someday to soak my feet in the tub with...I think you know what I mean. :) Just got back from Bible study...working through "Breaking Free" God is so good!
How timely, I was reading this at 11:00 at night and Dr Phil replays on one of our local stations at 11:00 I flipped over just in time to here Jennifer talk. Thank You Thank You!
Hey you guys sound like you have started off with a great holiday! Have fun and see you back next week!
Silly Momma Beth. You crack me up. ;o)
Enjoy the ocean some for me. (Never have been able to decide which I love more--the ocean or the mountains.)
We will be hosting our college age son's friends here (about 20-30 of them) for the fourth. Should be loud and silly. They are a great group of kids and we've missed them since they all left for college. It will be nice to have "our kids" around for a little while again.
Swimming, BBQ, games, fireworks & friends = a great fourth of July!
Just had to come back and say....oh well fine....I watched that Dr Phil and now I am bawling my eyes out....If you didn't get to watch it all I can say is Bless, Bless, Bless that family's heart!
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!
It's a summer of internships for me. No vacations. I am taking a one week trip to Mexico. But it's no where near a vacay.... it's to tell people about Jesus!!! Go forth to all the nations, right! Right!
Love y'all!
Enjoy your 4th of July! I'm looking forward to the next M, M, & L video!
And, of course, we'd love to see some pictures of miss Annabeth in her swimsuit!
Hey Beth hope you and your family have a great time!
Instead of being on the Springer Show LOL. I would love for you to be in a christian film I'm directing for a rescue mission. I sent info to Rick K. Love for you to be a part of it!
We are leaving for the beach at 6:00am and I cant sleep - We are taking all the grands to the beach for the first time. Have taken 1 here and 1 there but we will have all 4 for a week. Fun times!! You all have a blast - I plan to do the same. I have my bible study packed - I am behind already so hopefully I will get caught up before I get home. Love ya, Vicki
We "especially" love you too! And I'm spending the 4th with my dear Mother - who's b-day is on the 4th (we say we always celebrate her in style - with fireworks. Smile). She's up here from sunny southern California. My prayer for this holiday weekend: "Dear Lord - please help me to go to bed before 2am and not eat a second helping of strawberry shortcake at 1am, like I did tonight. Amen."
Par-tay on girls - Moore's and every other Siesta!
Hoping to get a tan (so I can feel esp. sassy),
Warm in Alaska.
Ahhhhh! I am so happy that you all got away together! It is so much fun! This morning ends a two week family vacation for me as we are headed home. We've been so many places and have had so much fun with our kids! So, YAY for vacation!
May you all be richly blessed, and may laughter flow freely!
Teri
THANK YOU, Moore, Jones, Fitzgerald women for letting us get to know you through this blog - I feel like I am one of your BFF's. lol.
Have a blessed vacation with your family! There is nothing better than spending good times with people you love the most!
To Pam in San Diego:
I'll be praying for you. A few months ago I went through the same thing (ultrasound and MRI). It turned out to be "benignly inconclusive" (an odd way of saying we're still not sure what we're seeing but we're not worried about it).
It's so easy to have anxiety and fear creep in. Praise God for the timeliness of this Scripture memorization. I'm praying your mind and heart are made new and strengthened with the power of His word!
LOL! Good way to start my day, thanks for the smiles. Already did my MML homework. Taking it with me to Canada for next two weeks to visit my family and suffer the cool mornings and warm afternoons, ha. Also taking my memory work. Loving it all. Loving Jesus more and more.
Sandy S.
If you have not seen this, go to the Death is not Dying web site and watch Rachel's testimony about her battle with cancer. She won yesterday as she arrived in glory!
That's so funny. I hope you all have a fabulous time!
I was listening to the radio the other morning (my alarm clock...I actually listen when I don't want to get up) and they were talking about your study on Esther...actually, they were talking about makeup and women who think their men are impressed with it, when someone called in and started talking about a study she was doing. The hosts asked about the study, one of the hosts explained who Esther was, and then said "so, what does Beth Moore have to say about the subject". I was so excited...I jumped up out of bed thinking "they are talking about my Beth."
So, if you don't ever make the Springer show (the comment almost sent me into intercession...haa haa haa j/k), you at least made it to the radio.
I think our families might be scheduled for the same Jerry Springer show. Should be a doozy! Though I doubt Jerry would know what hit him when we start talkin' JESUS SETS THE PRISONERS FREE and then makes them a DISPLAY OF HIS SPLENDOR!
And you sound just like my mom when we're on vaca.. GET OUT OF BED! "Awww... mom. Just a few more minutes!"
big hugs ~
Linda
My Grandma and Great Grandma used to take all 14 grandkids to the beach for a week at a time every summer! It will always be a cherished memory!! Make many of them this weekend!!
On another note, I too want to attest to what a blessing and comfort the scripture cards have been in my life the last 6 months! We have walked through one of the hardest times in our married life over the last 5 months, those scriptures have been my steady reminder and knowledge that God is walking us throughthe fire! One day I was having a ruff day and my 17 year old (foster) daughter noticed. She texted my husband immediately and said, "Did you make her cry and resort to her bible memory cards??" It was such a joy to my soul to realize that she knows where I go for comfort!! (And it wasn't him that made me cry!) :)
Be Blessed!
oh Beth, you are just so special. Love you to absolute pieces dear one.
have a great time at the beach with your girls.
I'm getting ready to get on a plane to go to a wedding in Fargo (hopefully a slightly cooler locality than Houston, or your beach) and I promise I'm taking my MM&L book along for the trip.
ps, the word verification is mantart......let the silliness continue!!!! Par-tay on
Beth, hope you girls had fun before the boys came and then have different fun. I took my daughter, daughter-in-love, and two granddaughters (18 and 14) to New York last week and had a blast. We did the normal tourist things but the best thing was seeing "Phantom of the Opera". Awesome.
I love you and your family and the way you interact with people like me who never get to even speak to you except through this wonderful blog.
God bless you richly.
Betty
Wish I was there, it is 67 and cloudy in Ohio. Can you believe it?! 67 and cloudy on Fourth of July weekend. I will be with you in spirit, and at this point in my day wish I really could send my 5 year old little girl to be with you!
Have a great time with your family, and I think we all have a few family members that could get us on the Jerry Springer show.
I recently went to a funeral for someone on my husbands side I had never even met and his wife played "I Like My Women a Little on the Trashy Side" for his memorial song. And his sister followed a pastor who talked about eternal life with Jesus, with a statement that he believed in reincarnation and may at this moment be back among us in a new life. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry! I think I will post this one annonymous LOL!
Love you Beth, have a great Independence Day!
How fun, enjoy the fun the sun, the baby and your Lord. God is so good to give us joy and you have a hefty dose!
Got to meet the Rothschild family during the taping of Me, Myself and Lies. I just have to say that they are the real deal - such a sweet, sweet family.
You MUST have the best time there, because I know y'all deserve it. How very fun for your family. We are headed up the mountain to retrieve our youngest daughter who has been with her grandma for the last week.
Praising God that it is not 105 here! Will probably take a jacket to the mountains!
Melana in Wyoming
LOL! Can't wait to see the pics. My MIL (she's more like my mom) and I just returned from yoga. I am excited to say that Christ has given me direction to lead the Esther study with a partner this Fall.
Anyway, we had a great yoga session together and I'm off to Me, Myself & Lies.
Blessings to all the Moores this holiday and blessings to all my siestas too.

Oh girls! Have an absolute blast!!! We are waiting for the pictures...
At a lake in northern Michigan and we were sure appreciate it if you girls could please face north-east and blow some of your hot air (weather!) this way?!? We are FREEZING up here!!!
It would be great if we can watch fireworks without our winter coats on. Thanks ya'll!!!
Jerry Springer! Ha! Beth you are such a hoot!!!
Jerry Springer--you are a riot! Thank you for making me smile this morning!! Love you back!
Hope you all have a blast at the beach. As for me and my family we will be playing baseball. My 8 yr old made All Stars!
Happy 4th of July
God Bless!
You are too funny. But Jerry Springer? What about Maury?
Looking forward to pictures!
Have a blast at the beach Moore girls, even if it's 105. I grew up in Redding, CA and in the summers there, that can be the norm or hotter...I easily remember days of 116...
We love the 4th, too and will be heading to Sacramento to hang out in friends' pool, bbq, fireworks, the whole 9 yards. Last night our church puts on a very fun, family oriented singing, dancing, acting production called The Singing Flag July 2, 3 4 and it is awesome! It easily draws thousands..so we did that last night and had such a patriotic, fun time together. Wishing you loads of fun at the beach with the fam, the waves, the sand, that one of a kind ocean smell, the breezes, tea...mmmm.. Oh wear that sunscreen! Do you have a plan to deal with "beach hair"? It can be a challenge!
Lots of love to you all and prayers for a rich time of family fun,
Melissa in Concord, CA
All your post should bear the warning " Do not read this if you have a mouth full of water"
It all spit out when I read "I am going to be on the Jerry Springer Show" That's some funny stuff girlfriend.
Love you Beth,

...yes, I am a weirdo for Jesus and His Word. Where else would I go?
That sounds like so much fun ....all you girls together! I am trying to learn how to be a more "fun" person in my middle age years. When our youngest son was about 16 he said to me one day..."Mama, you know how to have fun less than anybody I know!" I have kidded him about that for over 10 years now but actually it's about the truth. I have been asking the Lord to help me be a more funloving person before it's "too late"! ha
I have been listening over and over to your CD's on Ruth that was recorded in one of the Carolins in 2004 I think. It is so RICH! I have done research online all week on Ruth chapter 3 to go along with it as I am teaching the book of Ruth to my ladies Sunday school class.
Thank you for being so willing to share your LORD and your life with us Siestas!!!
Marilyn....in Mississippi
Pictures Beth??? Where are the pict's? I am trying to be patient..but it's hard!!! Hope y'all are having a blast!
Have a great time!!!!! Love the pictures and looking forward to beach pics. We are going to Michigan in a week on a mission trip so looking forward to the trip. Love you and yours bunches.

Oh, how I used to enjoy girly weekends with my mom and my sisters.
We'd get rid of the men (telling them we would barely make it without them of course)and take a night or two to laugh, watch tear-jerker movies and eat chocolate.
Our mom passed away a little over a year ago and its just not the same. I'm so thankful to my Heavenly Father for the time we had her. She was such a gift!

Praying for your vacation!! God bless you.
Jerry Springer, lol! I thought I was the only one that said that about our family, lol. Sometimes I even chant "Steve, Steve" when I think drama is about to break out. Too funny...ha,ha. This is why I love you so.
Have a great time, all of you! I love hearing your stories and seeing pics of your day. Thank you so much for being so real to me. You have truly blessed me so much. I love you and your authenticity. You are one of a kind sweet Beth, and your girls are amazing too. I have 2 boys, 18 & 6. I pray that they would have a love for Jesus like you and your girls do.
Happy 4th!!
Beth,
You and yours are Awesome!!

Sounds wonderful. Oh if I only had a family like yours..... Sounds so full of love and fun. And God.
Hope ya'll have the best time!
I am rolling. "Smiling big enough to eat a baby elephant"... never heard that one before!
Have a ball!
Hey Spiritual Mom Beth:):)
Ooo, beach house! I'm lovin' me the beach!!! Always have:) Ya'll must be having some good times, cause I know when all my sisters and my momma get together, it is some mighty good times!:) Anna Beth IS killer cute! Gerber baby, I'm tellin' ya. The guys being there added some more fun to the mix, I'm sure. Yay, I'll just say I lived vicariously through ya'll 'cause I worked on the fourth, but I did get some in-law fam time in there:) This siesta loves ya'll too, you know it!!:)
Blessings, ((HUGS))!

There is nothing like being at the beach with grandbabies and their parents. I love going with my girls and when my son can come. I also wish that you could send West Virginia a little of your temperature. It has been great if you like 72 degrees in July but it is kind of cool for swimming. Have a great time relaxing with your family
Happy Belated July 4th!! We had a very quiet time at home with just the 4 of us and some well needed rest :o)
Hey Beth I would gladly swap places with you re: the heat issue, Northern Maine is freezing and we have had non-stop rain for almost three weeks so if you want wee can trade places heehee bring your winter jacket :o)
Love ya Lori
Hope you Moore girls have a BLAST on your mini vacay. Be sure to do some swimming and laying out on the beach for me! :)
Much Love,
Groovewoman
you are hysterical!
Jerry Springer.
I laughed out loud.
That sounds so fun!
Beth, I thought about you yesterday when I used my lip plumping lipstick after eating lunch at Lynn's Paradise Cafe in Louisville.
I missed Jennifer on Dr. PHil. I wish I hadn't. I won a day with Dr. Phil five years ago. It was one of the fun shows. Very nice, very appropriate, wouldn't do it again.
I pray that all the Siestas had a fabulous 4th holiday with family and friends. We had a great worship service yesterday, remembering those who have given so freely, and honoring the One who gave us this great country. Best to all!
Stephanie
So that is why my dear Melissa is ignoring me! Have fun! H
Sounds like a great time!
I've done two of your studies and loved them and today had a scary, but exciting thought. Recently I met a woman down the street who has never belonged to a church and has only been to church a handful of times, but a few years ago bought a Bible!! How exciting- so I invited her to church and she GLADLY came with me. Now I feel the Lord putting it on my heart to start a Bible study and invite her along with all the women on my block. Which one of your studies do you think would be the best to start with?
Thank you so much for sharing your weekend! I wanted to let you know that I just watched the 4th week on esther and man it hit home completly. the best part is one of my friends is really struggling right now with the whole fear thing and i was able to borrow the video to show her. It was awesome to be able to call her and tell her that i have some scripture and words of encouragement for her.
Thank you so much for being submissive to God and what he wants accomplished in you. Your words in that video was such an encouragement for me and i know that it will speak truth into my friend's life. Thank you!!!

I was at the beach too last week and met up with some dear friends. We ended up talkin about you guys and that sweet, funny and darling post about Annabeth's first visit to the tea room. We love you guys so much and we both said that if we were given an opportunity to sit with you we were almost positive we could just sit back and enjoy. You are that real and open with us. Loving you from ATL. Have a great time together!
I am joining you for the first time tonight. I have been listening and following the listening guide for Proving Us Genuine. I have been praying for a strong desire for God's word. He has given me a renewed love for him. Praise God he cleansing me by washing with water through the word.
I am starting the 1st and 15th. I know that the year is already half over, but I am determined to memorize 24 verses.
Thank you for your love of God's word and wanting others to love it also.
Have a great time with your family!

I hope you had a blast this past weekend!
While relaxing in the pool, I was reviewing the verses I had committed to memory this year. I got stuck on a couple of them, and wanted to get my cards, but was afraid I would get them all wet. So, I think I may just have to make an extra set of cards and laminate them for the pool. :)
Hope you Had a wonderful time. God Bless You all. Thank God for Rain finally . I really can't wait till the winter can't stand the heat.
