Prayer Request for Bible Study
Hi ladies! I wanted to let you all know what a big night this is for your LPM siestas so you can be praying. We are kicking off "LIT," which is our fall Bible study series. (Registration is closed.) My mom and Melissa are co-teaching a class of about 150 18-25-year-old ladies and it will begin tonight. Next Tuesday Curtis will kick off his ungraded class for men and women. We are so excited! Please pray for Beth and Melissa as they begin their class tonight. Please also pray for the young ladies who will join us this fall. Our Bible study coordinator is Jennifer Hamm, in case you want to lift her up by name. She is awesome and works so hard! Okay, gotta run. I have to leave the house in 15 minutes and I'm not even close to being ready! Story of my life. Thanks, sisters!

Will be in prayer for the upcoming Bible Studies... that Beth, Melissa & Curtis will touch the lives of the men & women of Houston and will bring them closer to the feet of Jesus.
Its times like these that I wish I lived closer to Houston so i could be a part of the studies.
With Love & Prayer,
Groovewoman
Dearest Heavenly Father,
We do come to Your mighty throne of "More than Enough" and ask Your richest blessings upon the new Bible study. Lord, for every student, may their eyes be opened and their hearts receptive to all that You have in store for them. We bind the attacks of the enemy so that every person You intend to be there will be there. We ask that You pour Your Holy Spirit all over the assembly room so that the sense of awe and wonder will be felt immediately. We pray that each participant will be eternally changed. We ask for Your anointing upon Your teachers, Beth and Melissa, that they will teach Your Word with the power of life that it contains. Father, we jsut pray for total abandonment from all that keeps us from Your fullness and glory. We are excited for the incredible work that You have already begun regarding this study and that the fruit therof will be made manifest in each life. Thank you for dear precious ones like Jennifer who work so diligently behind the scenes. For those who poured out petitions and prayers, please bless them for their diligence. Thank you for those who serve with a true servant's heart; not for man's applause but out of obedience and love for You! Bless all of the LPM Staff for their faithfulness to You and to the Body of Christ Jesus.
Finally Lord, we can hardly contain ourselves as we think about the new Bible study LIT. How appropriately it is named. I so remember hearing Your precious princess, Beth, for the first time years ago at Second Baptist Church in Katy, Texas, and You O God LIT a fire in me that continues to flame. I fell in love with You and Your Holy Word in a way I never knew possible. Thank you, Sweet Lord!
Please protect Melissa as she travels back and forth each week. I pray for a hedge of protection on Beth and Curt and Melissa as they teach and bring a life changing Word that will totally transform many hearts. We life each family member up to You for Divine protection and favor.
I pray for an unquenchable flame to be LIT for all who seek and desire more of You! You are so worthy to be praised and I lift Your Holy name on high! I love you so much, Jesus, and I praise You for loving me and saving me! May Your will be done!!!
Blessed be the name of the LORD!!
In the name of Jesus- the name above all names- we pray!
AMEN!!!
Been praying all morning. Praying for Lisa, as she leads worship. Praying for everything Melissa asked. Praying an excited to hear!
Love,
Holly

I so badly wish I could be part of this study, but I will pray for you all.
God Bless all of your efforts and LORD, I ask in Jesus name that all of those involved would be so blessed. LORD, I pray a special pray for the women, that you would pour over them the overflowing love for them and how precious and special they are as women to you father. Let them know in thier hearts (my heart as well) that you created us to be adored.
In Jesus name,
AMEN

will pray! I started the Psalms of the ascents series at church today. The evening group is meeting right now.
Praying for y'all, even as I pray for our group starting tonight as well. Tonight we start "Living Beyond Yourself". Sooooo looking forward to digging into the Word again.
Love you too!
Melana (aka Moose Mama)
Praying for all... especially Melissa, Jennifer, Mama Beth and the many people involved in making this class possible.
May the Holy Spirit fall in the sanctuary tonight and reveal Himself in the details of becoming Biblically literate. I pray a special anointing on Melissa and Beth as God prepares the hearts of the young women who will be attending the class tonight.
I pray right now for Curtis, Lord and the preparation you are doing in advance for the group He will be leading next week. God, again, prepare their hearts like fertile grand to receive all that you have for them in a season of growth and understanding. Give Curt wisdom and direction and boldness as he teaches and cover Him with your favor.
May Your Word be quickened and the beauty of Your plan be illuminated in each and every life. God be HUGE in these two groups! LIT With a passion for Your Word, LIT with the all Consuming Fire of Your Spirit... LIT!
I ask that Your perfect and holy will would be accomplished through Your humble servants and that Your glory would increase in the days ahead! Raise up this generation... Lord, Raise them up! AMEN.
[P. S. What does LIT stand for?]

I prayed for all of you and will continue to pray. I know tonight will be so special. Thanks for the commitment of all of you!
Amanda, Just saw your post and lifted up a prayer for your mother, Melissa and Curtis. It is so overwhelming to see God moving in the lives of so many young adults. Will continue to pray and look forward to testimonies.
I remembered today was the day and have been lifting each of you in prayer. Many will be blessed, and I am praying for FRUIT from the seeds planted.

Praying for your study, and even though I'm late God can still make it count! I'm also praying the Storm into water. Please be safe siestas.
Much love,
Judy
Have I missed something? I thought Melissa was living in Atlanta now. ?????
Marilyn
Lifting y'all in prayer. I feel a mighty work of God about to take place....keep us posted.
Amanda,
I trust the kick off for "LIT" was greater than your hightest expectation. It is going to be so much fun to read your posts about what God is doing this semester. I will be praying for the Bible study leaders and the entire team who are working so hard.
Today, I heard a dear brother in Christ needs our prayers. His name is Pr. Vladimir Pyvovar. He is one of God's mighty warriors in Ukraine. He had a wonderful summer working with mission teams ministering to the children of Andrushevka. God has given him a great vision for church planting. Buddy Barnett, with Ukraine Challenge, asked us to pray for Vladimir who has come under great spiritual attack. May our Lord lift his head, renew his strength, and remind Vladimir the battle is not his but the Lord's.
Yours in Christ,
Mary
Gotcha covered siestas. Can't wait to hear how it went. Praising Him in advance. Lori
I know the study for tonight is probably over but I will be praying for them anyway as they continue.
Hope all went well with your study tonight! I love a new Bible Study! We just had our first meeting tonight, starting Daniel! Yea! We are excited! Some of the ladies are regulars but we also have some new ones as well. There are 10 of us, which makes 11 when I count myself! I am also leading a Thursday night study here at my house for local neighbors. There will be 8 ladies attending that one. I love fall and I love Bible Study! I will be praying for your class. I would love to do a class like that myself!
We will be praying for all of you. :-)
I will pray for your studies and the people who are teaching and the ones who are learning.
I will also pray for Icky Ike to take a huge detour and leave you alone. I have never known anyone who lived down there, so hearing about the storms never touched me. Well I know a bunch of people now, and I want you all to be safe and secure.
That is what I will pray for; "make Ike leave my friends alone. Make sure that they know that they are loved and supported here on earth. Make sure that they know You are loving and supporting them. Thank You, Jesus, amen.
Okay!
Prayed for the "Lit" class that started tonight. Praise the Lord for what he is going to do through this bible study.
I have been praying all day and can't wait to hear how God ignited their hearts for Him through your mom and Melissa!!!
I thank God for all the people He has placed in my life to encourage me along my christian journey. I hope I can encourage you 1/1000 of what you all have done for me. May He hold you in the palm of His Almighty Hand and may He teach those in the class to LOVE His word with the passion He has given you (plural).
Not only am I praying for this class but am asking God to make the curriculum available to us old girls, too!
Publish that bad boy!! :)
I will be praying for all of you. Also, just a request, I would LOVE Beth would decide to put this study in print. When I became a Christian, almost 9 yrs ago, I did not know a thing, and would have loved a class like this. I have often thought of teaching one in my home, for unbelievers and new Christians, answering any questions they may have and teaching them the basics of the bible. But, as a mother of 3, without a research team, I know it would take a long time to get all that I need together. Anyway, how exciting! Let us know how it is going!
Amanda,
I will pray for your study if you pray for ours! Our ladies group is starting the new Jennifer Rothchild study tonight. Janet Cline, AKA JayCee, will be facilitating the study. Please pray that we will be strengthened by God's word as we move into this new season.
We are all eagerly anticipating the the release of "Esther". I will be camping out on the sidewalk in front of Lifeway to be the first in St. Louis to receive a copy.
May the Lord bless you and your mother and the rest of the LPM staff and all that attend your study, richly....
Love Ya'll,
Hiker-Mama
I'll be praying! Can't wait to hear more about it.
Our church ladies' fall Bible study started this past Mon.
We always do Beth Moore studies but this time we are doing Priscilla Shirer's "Discerning the Voice of God." (we're waiting for Esther to be released for our spring study)
The ladies really enjoyed Priscilla and the lesson was very good as well as the two days of homework I've completed. We have 29 signed up for this study. Please keep us in your prayers as well. Thanks!
Have a blessed day,
Valerie
We will certainly lift up these precious Bible teachers/coordinator
On another note, if y'all haven't looked at the most recent LifeWay All Access blog post, you really should. I laughed and stomped my feet in my office I was so tickled.
Have a great day in the Lord!
In Christ
Regina Gibson
Just read the blog. Prayer works anytime, right? Then I will pray that the ladies received a blessing last night and that they will continue in their commitment to studying God's Word; and I'll pray that Siesta Moma receives a fresh anointing of the Spirit each time she brings God's Word to the group. Wish I was in her class!!!
Love & Prayers
Betty
I will and do left you all up in my prayers...and while we are on our knees... Let's pray for God's will and His mercy while we, Gulf Coastian face yet another storm... as of yet it looks like it is head yalls way, however, we all down here know that only God knows where exactally it will hit... So let's join together in fellowship and prayer in His name for His glory.
Prayers for TEXAS as Ike heads your way...from "Sunny again finally" South Florida! We started Jesus the One & Only Last night with 60+ ladies! Our Women's Ministry had over 160 Ladies in all 5 studies! GO GOD! Many have not done study with us before and more than half of those have never done a Beth Moore Study. I told them to "HANG ON TIGHT for a GREAT RIDE!" I also noted that many of us have callouses from doing just that with your Mom. THANK GOD for the blessing of the annointed work He has called your family to! Prayers for you all!!
Man!
150...18-25 year old ladies!
Wow.
That is SO beautiful.
Oh, may God capture their hearts and transform them to be on-fire servants of the Most High God! And may His Message come forth like FIRE!
In Jesus Name!
Amen.
Prayed for you guys and everyone involved in the studies. I'm also praying for all of you as Ike nears the Texas coastline....praying God's boma around you!

I love the thought of 150 18-25yr old girls coming together to learn and worship! Wish I was that age and and lived in Houston! : )
Have had you all on my heart and praying as Ike approaches!
God Bless precious siestas! Emmy
Praise you Lord for the way you knit us all together. You are an amazing God. Bless your servants Lord as they bring your Holy Word to this generation, and let it speak personally to each daughter as she knows that you are for her Lord. What a wonderful time it will be, as You Lord are celebrated.
Continue your blessings on all who labor behind the scenes as they feel your presence so mighty upon them.
Thank you Father God.
Okay, prayers have shifted. Just watched the weather...
Are you girls having to evacuate?
praying for the Bible study and for all of your in the path of the next hurricane.
Prayers for these young hearts and for all of you who are leading them in the journey toward Jesus.
We kicked off our Fall study last night with Alicia Chole's "Anonymous." Sixty women were left speechless--an incredible feat by any account!
So glad to be doing life with all of you.
peace~elaine
Addin' ya to my prayer list.
Marilyn, I thought the same thing last night... Isn't Melissa in Atlanta?
Amanda: Praying and believing God for a great harvest of young women in love with the Word. How refreshing - may God give them a hunger and a thirst for Himself.
Love y'all,
Georgia Jan
Yay - so glad you're targeting this age group. Can you imagine what will happen in the lives of these young ladies when they have a passion ignited for Jesus through His Word? I'm going to be praying that their hearts would be "lit" and would "burn within them" just like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus who had a fresh encounter with Jesus in the midst of their despair (esp. vs. 23of Lk. 24)
Get the lighter fluid, Beth and Melissa - blaze away!
Warm in Alaska.
Just saw the post today. Pray that everything went well last night. Can't wait to hear ALL ABOUT IT!
I'm praying for you all! Praying about Ike too! Take care!
Dear Lord,
Thank you for your new mercies every morning. As I have learned more about Your own heart and love for each of us, the desire to live with You every minute is rejoicing! Lord, you have many desciples out there for you, and in particular, Beth Moore, Melissa, Curtis and Amanda. Please bless them the Peace and joy of knowing You are speaking through them for Your Kingdom. Lord, you have shown to me over and over, that there are no limitations through You, but Your Almighty spiritual gifts. Help them to use their spirital gifts that you have blessed them like never before. Many women and men are hungry, and don't know where to find their fulfillment. Through You, during their devine appointments, may these individuals open their eyes, ears, and mouths so they may see, taste, and hear of Your Daily Bread and well-spring of life!
Proverbs 4:20-23
Forever, I love you!
Amen.
I've been praying since the Fiesta over this...it carries such importance, breathing life into that specific generation and a life-long love of the Word.
Awesome stuff.
Hugs,
Melinda
Are you guys okay? Will you be evacuating with the rest of Houston? I will be praying for you. Keep safe.
Speaking of Bible Study, I want to let you know that my group FINALLY finished the NOG study. We weren't able to complete the roll call on August 12th because we weren't close to the finish line yet. But as they say...better late than never. Please add 4 gals from Loveland, CO to the list of people who LOVED and FINISHED the study this summer just in time to start Jesus the Beloved Disciple at our church! Love and Blessings to you.
KRCV in Loveland!
I think I am a day late but hey the prayers will be effective for whatever the need is!

I will pray for all of you and the Bible Study as well as keeping you in my prayers this weekend as Ike comes near. If you need a place to run to we have room ! :)

May the Lord give His insight, His understanding, His Spirit at each gathering. May His word be a light.
We started Wising Up this morning--so good! I COPE!
I can't wait to hear how it went. Our Bible Study started yesterday as well and it was AMAZING!
Little Momma:)
I knew it was starting soon, but not sure when exactly, thanks for telling us. I will definitely pray for this class-that these young women would catch a love for Him and a tenacious fervor for learning more of His Word, starting with the fundamentals. I would love to see my generation be a people after His own heart; a generation that seeks His face, and requires Him as a vital necessity.
Love in CHRIST,

And this former Pit Dweller is praying over my coastal family and friends (which includes ya'll!) My home town in Corpus even though I am in Fort Worth now.

We are praying for you all, the entire coast of Texas and the rest of the gulf. We know you all are in the Best Hands you could be in!!
Hi, Siestas! I just had to share my joy with all of you about fall Bible study! I have never been more excited about it than I am at this moment--heck, I'm downright giddy!
I began teaching Beth's Stepping Up study last night at my church. Of the 40 (!) women who signed up, 34 came AND 5 came who didn't sign up AND I have heard of more who are coming!! Although my church is large, that is an exceptionally large group for Bible study, especially on a Wednesday night when there are other activities going on. I was just about thrilled to tears, and I absolutely cannot wait to see the mighty work that our mighty God is going to do in the lives of these women!
By the way, Beth, we watched the introductory session last night, and one of the women sent me an e-mail afterward saying this: "When I got home tonight, I ran warm bath water, sat on the edge of the tub, and soaked my feet while I did my homework!" I thought Beth's idea was too good to pass up.
Don't you love it?!
Prayers definitely going up for this study from me. I hope God uses y'all to help strengthen my generation to be leaders for Him. We need all the help we can get!
Also praying that this study could be published. Amen and amen!
~Sarah
