oh my goodness!! so wishing i had been able to leave the curb center (or curve center as mama kay called it ;) ) to come hug your beautiful necks!! make that 2 faces photo-shopped in. :)
If being jealous wasn't such a sin, I would be soooooo jealous! I so wish I could have been there. I love the shirts - they are just adorable. Amanda, if I knew how to photoshop, I would add you in. (I hope little one is feeling better.)
Ok Amanda, I can definitely help! I am a graphic designer and skilled in the photoshop program in removing items, people, or adding them in! Changing the color of their hair, clothes, add a building...whatever! If you want...I can help! :)
I'm a siesta that attended deeper still in San Fran. What a great picture of my siesta girlfriends!!! You are beautiful...San Antonio is too far for this california gal to meet all of you. I'll have to find another time to meet my fellow siestas. Any chance of a siesta gathering at Living Proof Live in San Diego in the spring?
this is one of the first times in my life that I have been close to the front of a picture. Due to being sooooooooo tall I am always way in the back. it was a fun change!!! Loved meeting everyone!! hugs!!
I love the picture! It was so much fun!! Go ahead and photoshop yourself in the picture!! I can't wait for the Siesta Fiesta. It was so much fun meeting each other!!
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, Hi Siesta's! You all look smashing! I'm excited you all got to meet...even though I'm still sulking. :) I was trying to match up faces in the pic to blog names...it's like solving a tiny puzzle...but it's fun.
I was there Friday night, but couldn't be there for the entire weekend.
My goodness! That Priscilla can preach it, sistas! All three ladies--Kay, Beth, and Priscilla-- were just precious! And the Praise Team--Well I don't know the words to describe it!
I have to admit to a tiny bit of "almost jealousy" that I missed the Siesta meeting. Sometimes God just needs you in a different place. Saturday was one of those times for me. Wonderful picture of "the group"--now if I just knew who was who!!
We start A Woman's Heart at my house tonight. I'm excited!
Oh! My Goodness! I'm feeling...well.....is it jealousy?!?!? I pray not!! No, maybe some envy going on here!! Missing out on all the fun....but I'm glad for those that were able to be there and got your t-shirts to boot!!! I know there will be other times.....
I was steps away from being able to be with my siestas but I worked the LifeWay store and we were mobbed at lunch when Mandisa and Anthony came and signed stuff. But I was there in spirit. And I want a shirt too!
Funny you mention Starbucks. As soon as Deeper Still was over, my friends and I were in serious need of coffee. :) As we walked the 3 blocks or so to get there, we talked about how none of us could even articulate how we felt. It was truly wonderful. We were so looking forward to "debriefing" over our favorite mocha something. You can imagine how we felt when we saw that Starbucks was CLOSED. We decided that if they had realized almost 24,000 women would be pouring out of the GEC, they would have opened. :) Nonetheless, we did get that coffee..and yes, we had our "debriefing" at Macaroni Grill. :) We all concluded that God worked in a huge way and we want to be different for having gone "deeper still."
What an incredible sight. I can't wait to hopefully be in the next picture in San Antonio. Can you let us know where we can get one of those t-shirts? Can you buy the are the website? Keep up the great work.I love checking to see what is new and exciting in the Moore famiy.
Ok I have to admit it I am just as jealous as the rest of you all. I would have love to have been there with you who went. I have been reading this blog for about 2 months now, I have not posted yet because everytime I try google will not let me. Anyway glad that you all had fun. Kim B.
I was there... but not in the picture! It was a madhouse... but a wonderful time with you all. Have my tickets to San Antonio and will be praying every step of the way! I sure do love all ya'll!
Oh how great!! You all found each other in a sea of people. I heard it was AWESOME!! My manager said it was a great turnout. Unlike any event he's worked before! One of my co workers was there and she came up to me today, excited, to tell me that she saw a Siesta!! I thought that was too funny! Id shown her the shirts and she recognized them!! Gotta get one for me!! Counting down to San Antonio!!
I am so glad everyone was so Blessed at Deeper Still and I'm glad you are passing those blessings on to those of us who couldn't be there. I'm making plans for next year and I hope to meet alot of you. I haven't been on this blog long but I'm loving every minute that I have been. I sooo want a T-Shirt. You all are fantastic. LOL
ok, if you are gonna take pictures, you must have cards in front of you to tell us who you are! This sanguine is dying to put faces & names together. Got confirmation too for San Antonio, can't wait. Think about what heaven will be like when we siestas all get together!!! Beth, it was fun meeting you in the DFW airport, and you did seem excited to meet another sister in christ. It makes those intimate settings special. love all you siestas ! Dedra@dfw
i agree - so many precious women! now, why is it that we tend to feel that way about other women, yet not about our own selves? if only we could see ourselves as precious, with or without the right hairstyle, make-up, clothes, whatever :)
Oh there we are!! Thank you Lisa from Lifeway for doing that you were so sweet and patient with us and the 57 (not really but close) cameras you used to take our pictures :) That was so much fun!! I squealed like a school girl and hugged everyone like long lost best friends!! I was the most surprised by Leigh since her picture has her as a brunette and she is the beautiful blonde on the front row!! I could never have imagined how much you siestas would mean to me and I am so thankful that we had the chance to hug one another in person. Oh and if you want a t-shirt please contact either myself (via e-mail or blog) or Patty so we can order you one! God bless siestas, Kim
I was there in spirit... but have told Patty that I want a Siesta Fiesta shirt! I LOVE the picture!!!! I got my confirmation today as well for San Antonio! It's SO far off... it's going to be SO much fun!
Siesta: Beth called us sistas, then one day she did a typo error and now we are siestas!!!
Hi Beth!!! I just wanted you to know how excited I am that you are going to be coming to Billings Montana!! Billings!! Lil' ol' Billings. We are not the biggest city by any means but boy do we have a heart for the Lord! I am blessed beyond measure to be able to use this as an opportunity to introduce other women to Jesus Christ . I am one REALLY excited siesta and here it is over a year away... but I know God is going to use it in a huge way!! Thank you for thinking of this "less" populated state!!!
Deeper Still Nashville was flat SOLD OUT before I could get tickets! It broke my heart to miss it! Still on the fence about San Antonio...I am heartsick over the decision...with a bit of luck and plenty of prayers, I'll hopefully have a newborn around that time:)....We have a 3 yr old, and it will be nearly impossible to leave my man, my toddler, and, prayerfully, a new bambino....and MUCH harder to bring them all along :) I'm really in a pickle! Hoefully, there will be many more Siesta Fiestas! I feel like I know so many of them already!
We had a Women's Enrichment event tonight at church...it is truly divine when so many God-centered women get together. Way too much fun. I can only imagine the Siesta Fiesta will be the ultimate place to be for such a unique group of all our fabulous siestas. I am still in awe over this great blog. God works in the COOLEST ways!
I was so blessed by the Nashville Deeper Still conf!!!! I LOVED the panel at the end. Wow, and the worship! I didn't take the time to read this blog before so I missed the seista meetings - oh well! I DID however stand in line for lunch for over an hour and didn't even get my food until halfway through the worship time after lunch. So, those going to the next Deeper Still conf should consider packing a lunch.
Ok...I've never posted a comment before, but I've read many and although I didn't have a t-shirt, I am a 'Siesta' in spirit!
I watched this photo being taken from the balcony above! I wanted to run down and join in too ('cept I was talking to my husband and my 4 yr old son on the cell phone because I was missing them despite being fed some W.O.R.D. from the Deeper Still ladies).
Anyway, it was just a cool thing to watch and know who they were and what 'LPM Siestas' meant on their pretty Green & Pink t-shirts!
For all of you who are trying to piece together the puzzle of faces and names, and since my thumbnail to my blog is only my eye, I am the one with the bright orange shirt in the middle of all the green (it looks kind of red in the picture). My name is Melissa, some call me Mel. My dear friend, Bridgette, who reads the blog but has not found the courage yet to try commenting, is standing just above and to the right of me.(Actually, just over MY left shoulder) Now, I need to go and start learning all of your names before we meet in San Antonio. And I have to get one of those shirts!!!
the t-shirt used was from the company "Custom INK" online. They have great service...the shirt was in the women's section under "pistaccio", and the text and graphic were all one color, hot pink, comic sans font, I believe.
You can get an order throughhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07887882490817883199 (Patty) if you don't want to design your own, but the cool thing was, not all our girls were bloggers, so we picked the same design, but put our church name and "sisters" on the shirt instead. That way, no one in our group felt left out of the "blog thing", but we still had a similar shirt to the bloggers.
We ordered about 50 SHIRTS, and that got them down to about $10.00 a peice with rush shipping (better to order early...we could have gotten them for $8.00 with free shipping). Only ordering one is like $20-25.00, though! YIKES! Patty can get a group order for you if you can't get one on your own.
It sounds so simplistic, but it is so, so, true.....God IS so good! To hear the Word taught with such power and authority...to worship in spirit and truth with 20,000 plus women...to meet some of my precious fellow siestas that I have fallen in love with online....who am I Lord that You have brought me this far?!
I have such a deep THANK YOU to JESUS in my HEART and in my SPIRIT for you Beth and the LPM MINISTRY today! I just had to write it out... First I just wanted to say I am praying for tonight! I prayed for all the things on the prayer Memo and will continue to pray throughout the day and the next 10 weeks...I wish we all lived in Houston so we could be there! I just got home from my small group that I am leading where we watched Wising Up (the one on being a Godly Wife) we were all riveted, incredible! I just want to encourage you tonight because you can never know how much those recorded DVDs mean to all of us! I wish I could fully express in words... I have no words really just tears in my eyes...and such a passion in my heart of appreciation for you, your staff, your family...I know it isn't easy...I can't even imagine what goes into everything....the prayer...the preparation...the studying...the people behind the scenes...the loss of sleep before and after....(goodness after I got home today from my little group today I had to go lay on my closet floor and cry out to God b/c Satan hounded me so like I couldn't do it...that I was going to mess it up and my group was only 10 women and I didn't even teach! I just facilitated!) I can't even imagine thousands of women! God uses you so POWERFULLY in ALL of our lives! I just felt like encouraging you and thanking you for LOVING JESUS SO MUCH! It overflows! It is contagious! I PRAISE HIM for you and all your family and staff today! For ALL that you all have done and continue to do to in order for HIM to be GLORIFIED! I send a big hug to all involved from this Siesta! Thank you again! GBY - Emmy : )
I wanted to let anyone who has written on here that wants a shirt to contact me via email or my blog. I have had many who have written me and told me they want a shirt. The more I order the cheaper it will be for you. ;o) I will be happy to help you in anyway you need. (or you can email Kim as she stated in her comment) I loved meeting all the siestas and can't wait until San Antonio. We will have to take another picture!!
For those putting names and faces together - that's me on the far left - with the white polo shirt that has a zipper front.
I had to leave right after the photo was taken to make a phone call, so I didn't get to chat much, but it was so nice to see my fellow siestas.
OK - someone asked me why my "name" is fuzzytop.... Short answer is because my hair is VERY curly! Not so much now because it is growing out and I need a haircut, but it's usually very very curly.
My friend and I drove to Nashville on Friday for the Deeper Still conference. As we entered Nashville, our car started giving us trouble. As we drove into the parking lot behind the conference center, it totally died. I had written on a 3x5 card in my pocket (that’s how I memorize scripture – by carrying 3x5 cards around in my pocket), Psalm 62: 5-6 “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone, my hope comes from Him alone. He alone is my rock and my salvation, He is my fortress and I will not be shaken.”
We didn’t really know what to do, but we walked down to the bookstore and then went and got a sandwich to eat. Then we waited in line to go to the conference. The car was broken down all weekend long, but we praised our Lord God and from the first word to the last word, we were given the Word. This was not “fluff” teaching…this was the Word on steroids! My friend’s husband drove to Nashville and towed the car back to Georgia. The car has been running just fine since we got it home…
It was a great weekend! I can hardly wait until next year…Deeper Still is in Atlanta – one hour away!
great pic girls! we should find that cardboard cut out of beth...what siesta had that at their Bible study? laughed so hard at that post (from way back) lol again! lovin life in Him!-lisa
Hello to all my beautiful siesta's (of course I'm talking to you Amanda, Melissa and Beth also!) I think that every single one of us needs at least 1 of those t-shirts! For the Rhode Island event there were 12 of us who went and wore the same t-shirt that said "I am a Princess, a daughter of the King" (something like that) 2 of us also wore a teara. We all would love a siesta t-shirt and teara and it would be just awesome if everyone had them.
Just want you all to know that I love reading your comments and feel connected. There are so many of Beth's study's I want to do but don't know which one and where. I'm so overwhelmed I just don't know what to do right know but it's so encouraging to hear what you'r all doing!
Love to you all! xo Joanne in NH
PS Can we all be photoshoped in? Holding up names w/pictures is a great idea too for whoever mentioned it.
Sorry, just one more quicky. I think if we do all get t-shirts that we need to get one for Travis that says MIESTA but in different colors(see his comment on the blog) He's too funny and we can't leave HIM out! he'd have to be in the picture too!
All of yawl in the Siesta photo are so young!!! I, too, would like to know which is who, or whom is which or whatever. Sounds like every one was blessed by being there. Praise the Lord!!
I wanted to comment on Joanne's comment about having Travis a shirt. I do have a design for him and at the time I ordered our shirts I couldn't get him one in the color I thought he would wear. So, I have commented on his blog that I will have a shirt for him at the Siesta/Miesta Fiesta conference and of course he has to be in the picture with us. Everyone is wanting to know who is who in the picture, I am on the second row behind the siesta with the white skirt. I can't remember everyones name (it went by so quickly). You can't miss my blonde hair. :o)
I was at Deeper Still in Nashville as well, and it was unbelievable! I saw you all in your shirts and then you all are mentioned in alot of blogs. What exactly is the siesta group and how did you all get together? Just interested and would love to be a part! Praying that we are still looking for a fresh Rhema everyday!
Oh. You all are so beautiful! I haven't been on here in a while but I've thought about you often. Besides doing the regular every day kid stuff I had to take one to the eye doctor, twice of course. Once for the eye test, second to pick up her glasses. And then I also volunteered to be a chaperone for a field trip, which was fun but exhausting. They went to the fair and I had no idea kindergartener's could eat that much! You feed them and 10 minutes later they were hungry again. Thank goodness there was a booth giving away free apples and bananas. Anyway, I missed you all and I'm back. This should be a normal week.

Abby, I'd photoshop you in, but there are two of you in your picture! LOL!
We had a sorority sister squelin' good greeting time. It was short, but fun.
The comment of the day was "What do you do with your body for one of these pictures?"
Answer: "I don't know about everyone else, but I'm suckin' it all in, sister!"
I'm still laughing my head off. That is transparency!
Glad I found you...OH SO GLAD!
Thank you precious Jesus!
I so wanted to be there too! And I second that request for a TSHIRT!!! You're all beautiful.
STEF
Ladies, you are stunning!
Praying that I can meet you all in San Antonio!!!!

Saturday was my scrapbook day. One of the ladies there was talking about her neighbor who was at Deeper Still. I almost cried.
Oh man, y'all are so beautiful. You're just glowing!!
Can't wait to meet each and everyone of you some day!
Love,

:)
Hey Amanda
I wish you could have been there too. How many days until San Antonio?
By the way I am the one without the t-shirt in the middle wearing white. I kinda stand out, unfortunately.
Love to all my siesta's

OOPS I said Lisa took our pictures but I think her sweet name is Julie - sorry!

I wanted to let anyone who has written on here that wants a shirt to contact me via email or my blog. I have had many who have written me and told me they want a shirt. The more I order the cheaper it will be for you. ;o) I will be happy to help you in anyway you need. (or you can email Kim as she stated in her comment)
I loved meeting all the siestas and can't wait until San Antonio.

I love seeing the "siestas" in person.
great pic girls! we should find that cardboard cut out of beth...what siesta had that at their Bible study? laughed so hard at that post (from way back)
lol again!
lovin life in Him!-lisa
Love to you all! xo

Joanne from NH again
What a precious group! God bless you all!
so jealous!! BUT YA'LL which one's are you??? =) And I loved the photoshop one!! that's to cute!!
Patty, that's awesome! Thanks for your comment back. Now I gotta go back to see who YOU are in the picture!
Love, Joanne in NH
