Fall Bible Study Kickoff!

We have been counting down the months, weeks, days, and now hours until our Fall Semester Bible Study kickoff for Esther. Praise the Lord! It's finally here!

Needless to say, it is a very big day for LPM. I know all my c0-workers are in overdrive getting ready to fill their various roles tonight. My mom has been studying and praying all morning. My sister will be initiated into her first "first night of Bible study" as an official employee. Diane is getting boxes and boxes of inventory loaded into her Suburban to set out at the product table. And right now our Bible study coordinator, Jennifer Hamm, is probably power walking all over that church with a walkie talkie in hand.

We covet your prayers as we prepare for this evening. Our Tuesday night Bible study is extremely important to all of us. Getting to wash the feet of these precious ladies and serve up the Word of God on a silver platter is an incredible joy and privilege. This Tuesday night teaching series will also serve as the taping for Esther. In other words, what our girls see and hear will be what you see and hear when you view the Esther DVDs one day. The taping environment brings my mom's stress level up several notches. Please ask God to give her peace, anointing, and focus. Thanks so much, ladies!

Why don't we just make it Pray for Your Bible Study Leader Day? I know many of your groups are just starting or have just recently started. Most of us can relate to the nervous excitement that you feel in those first few weeks. Whoever your leader is - or maybe you are the leader - lift her up by name at this time. One of my best friends, Janelle, is leading a Precepts study that begins tonight, and I will meet my MOPS leader for the first time tomorrow morning. So I will be praying for my mom, Janelle, and my MOPS leader Amy today. Who are you praying for?

I, too, covet those prayers. Tomorrow is our first session of Believing God. I am feeling the knot in my tummy. The Lord did an AMAZING work through Breaking Free and my heart is heavy with the responsibility of what is to come. My prayer is that I can merely facilitate the material and let God take over from there. I will pray for each of you as you "kickoff" your study.

Blessings...

praying for you sweet ladies an all you do to serve Him...

ps...has anyone found themselves using the words "deeper" and "still" a lot more in the last two days? or at least every time you use them, getting a big grin on your face because of the memories :)

We are about to start Wising Up in my girlfriend's bible study group. So, Beth, you will be leading that one. :)

We are also starting a study on Ecclesiastes at my church...coincidence that both of these are written by Solomon and line up with each other in many ways? I don't think so...

I will be praying for all the ladies you mentioned and my bible study leader at church.

It give me chills to think that the Esther study that I will do AS SOON AS it comes out, is being breathed in Beth at this moment!!!

Praise God!!!!!!!

Amanda,

Well, if it is Pray for Your Bible Study Leader Day how could I not pray for Beth??? Good grief, the woman has been my virtual Bible study leader for 10 years now -- since that first day back in 1997, I believe, when I popped in the first video for A Woman's Heart and watched the Word come alive for those ladies (myself included) in ways we never expected!!

Now 10 years later and at least 10 studies later, I have 29 precious ladies meeting with me every Sunday night for Believing God (our first night was last Sunday night). Their faces are all brand new and many, many of them have never done indepth Bible study. Can I get a HUGE AMEN?

They all stood boldly and said the Five Statement Pledge of Faith for the first time and my eyes welled up with tears. It was so powerful!! I have already received two e-mails this week from girls who have experienced God do something impossible in their lives this week -- all because they decided to believe Him for it! Isn't that great??

So, pray I will and I ask you to pray for me, too!

Blessings,
Dori

God is control of the details! At our study this morning, I had not previewed the DVD, but in my opening prayer with our group, where we pour out our hearts to God, I felt Him urge me to pray these words for our group:
Heavenly Father, we come before you and ask you to "open our hearts and minds with understanding of the truth in Your Word."
Imagine the chills that went through me and our group, when Beth closed the DVD presentation with the encouragement and commitment "Lord Jesus, open my mind that I can understand the Scriptures"! Amen and Amen
He is faithful, even to the most unprepared facilitator, when we truly come to Him with open hands.
Sweet Sisters, pray for your facilitators.

I have a special page in my prayer journal just for Ms. Beth and LPM. Esther has shown up several times on that page and I will continue to pray as the study begins tonight.
I'm going to be going through Beth withdrawal this time around for our women's Bible study. For the first time in years we're doing something different. Has anyone ever done Lisa Welchel's MY STORY scrapbooking Bible study? I'm looking forward to it but will miss going so deep into the Word with Ms. Beth! Anyway, thanks for the reminder that I need to be praying for my leader, Jill, too!
Prayers and blessings to all!

That will be cool when I see the dvd to know I prayed for the sessions when they were happening. Thanks for letting us know. Wow, you girls are busy - Deeper Still this past weekend, and the fall semester Bible Study kickoff tonight. I just received my email prayer list. As my pastor is fond of saying, "confession is good for the soul, but bad for the reputation" so let me just tell you that sometimes (Tuesday night in particular)I have to work hard not to envy you girls who live in Houston. Having said that, let me also say that I belong to a wonderful church and God has given me a supernatural love for my church family. We're a big family -a mega-church actually, so I don't know everyone's name, but I absolutely love these people. I truly am just where my Lord has placed me.

Speaking of families, The Holy Spirit has been prompting me to pray this verse over all my brand new sisters in Christ. Whether you joined the family at Deeper Still, or to all of you who will have an encounter with the One True God at tonight's Bible study, here's my prayer for you. From Colossians 2:6-7, So then, just as you receive Christ Jesus as Lord, I pray you will continue to live in Him, strengthened in the faith as you are taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

For every Bible study leader in every church and denomination of like faith, here's my prayer for us. From 1 Peter 3:15, I pray that we set apart Christ as Lord in our hearts and that we are always prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have. I pray we will do this with gentleness and respect.

We've never met, and may not on this side of eternity, but I love you girls and I'm humbled to be a fellow servant for the sake of the gospel.

Oh boy, is it okay that I'm a little bit jealous that I won't be there tonight?! Since I've been at school the past 4 years, and have only gotten to go to Bible Study on the occasional off day, I am glad to say that this is the last semester I have to miss Tuesday night Bible Study. I am so thrilled. I miss the ladies so much and I hate knowing that I am missing a great word.

Usually tonight is the night I would call my mom to get the low down on the first night, and so she can tell me everything Beth said, but low and behold, she too is missing it tonight because of my little brother's back to school night. I'm sad.

Aside from all that, know that I am praying for your mom, the ladies on staff (y'all work so hard! And, Jennifer's announcements are precious!) and all the ladies that come. May they get a new, fresh word tonight.

Missing my Houston Sisters,
Lindsee

I want Y'all to know that I am praying especially hard for you, dear Beth, Living Proof ladies, and for the Lifeway team as Y'all begin this new Bible study tonight.

I remember back when I was there for the taping of Living Beyond Yourself, that it was such a great learning time for me, but I didn't have any idea just how much work it was for the team.

Just know that I plan to be a long distance prayer warrior for Y'all throughout this study.

I recall how I felt so honored to be allowed to pray over the sanctuary before the other ladies came in, and I plan to continue to do that from here.

However, I know that I know that the Holy Spirit is already there, doing His work, too, and that all will go well, because He knows how much of a godly impact these studies have on everyone involved, this semester and through the DVD study later on ...

In Christ's love,

I have been praying for the LPM team and Beth all day. Whenever there was a spare minute at work, I prayed for all of you. I'm praying for Aurelie, my Bible Study Leader. Tonight, in less than an hour, we start, A Woman's Heart-God's Dwelling Place. You are so right about the excitement! I can hardly wait to start this study! We take the summer off and I have been missing, Miss Beth and all she has in store for us, no matter what we're studying. OK, I'm off to get my Chai tea and head to the study. Chai tea, Beth and Jesus! Can life get any better!!!!!

Praying for Beth and Staff!

I will begin our first official Beth Moore Bible Study in two weeks. The coolest thing is, we are offering one at church and one will be IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD! GLORY! We are studying Believing God. I just received the books yesterday and I am very excited! God is going to show up and I can't wait! (We have very new believers and many denominations represented in our neighborhood study, including a friend of mine who isn't saved. I am so honored and blessed to be able to facilitate this study and to watch these women grow! I'm looking forward to doing some growing myself!) Wah hoo!

Oh, how I wish I could join you. But I live in Minnesota! I will be praying for all of you.

We just finished our summer study, "Breaking Free," and will begin "Believing God" on 10/13 at 8 a.m. I can hardly wait.

I already have my reservation for LivingProof Live! at Target Center next July. We're having a "girls night" and staying at the Marriott.

In Christ's Love!
Mary Ann

P.S. I ask for your prayers for my first Spirituality & Health small group. It will not be a Beth Moore study, but I wouldn't be doing it without God's presence flowing through her. I start October 1. Please pray for God to work through me.

Esther...the one with no father or mother...the one who could have shook her fist at God and fell headlong into a pit...But God! Oh Holy Father, as I sit here and think of the excitement on those faces attending this Bible study...I see Beth moving with courage. Not just any courage but Mordecai's courage. Lord, when You were silent there in that kingdom, Mordecai heard You whisper his name. You and You alone empowered him...for such a time as this. Father, when You choose to be silent in our lives, we must walk by faith, with abiding hope and courage. Thank You for a woman of faith like Esther. Impart Your Message to each who hear Beth's teaching by Your Holy Spirit. Lord, You have a special message for each of us! I thank You for the study I begin tonight on Ruth and Esther. Help me to discern deep wisdom and search the unfathomable riches of Your Grace. Even when Naomi had lost all hope, Ruth blessed her with love and grace. Isn't that just like You, Lord! In the midst of all our trials, Your Grace is sufficient. Bless all the teaching of Your Word with Power from on High. You are The Word. Breath Life into our lives. In Jesus Name. Amen.

It is an honor for me to hold up Beth and the entire staff at LPM. I will be facilitating a group for the first time on my own this year. We are doing the revised Women's Heart study. I recently asked God to make me desperate for Him and leading this group has done it. I AM HUGGING THE RUG!! I literally have had nightmares. It is a HUGE responsibility. I desperately want this to bring my Father glory and have always felt unqualified to co-facilitate. My spiritual gift is availability. The rest is up to Him. To complicate the matter it is the first year that I am planning to do the 10 week study in 10 weeks. We have always done it in 20. Several ladies have asked to step it up. It is comforting to know that Beth still gets butterflies. It is good for me to be Hugging the rug. I would welcome suggestions. You are all so great. You are a great team. We love you so much here in MA.

As school started this year for my 2 boys, so did football. One night over dinner we were reviewing our VERY hectic schedule for the fall and I mentioned to my 6 year old that he has practice on Tues. nights. His resonse...."But, that's Beth Moore night!! What are you going to do?" How precious to me that my boys know Beth by name and how important that Bible study is to me! I have been so looking forward to the study on Esther - she is my very favorite Bible chick. After a lot of "wrestling" with God, I conceded to the fact that it was going to be too difficult on my family to do Tues. night Bible study this time. I cried and pitched an almighty fit, but God prevailed when he sent a dear friend of mine to the rescue with the suggestion of us doing a book study together. SOOOOOO, you Tues. night girls enjoy and soak it all in and I will be praying for you!! My boys will miss "Beth Moore" night too!

I will start a Community Bible Study tomorrow on the book of Acts. Their first week was last week, but my friend from small group is doing it and so I decided to do it. I will be praying for Jeannette and Frances and of course, Beth. Our church is having a woman's retreat in a few weeks and Donna Otto is going to be our speaker. I told my girlfriends on Sunday night at small group, "Wouldn't it be cool if Beth could come be our speaker one year?" We meet in Fredericksbug. It's a great time!

I will be praying for all of the lovely ladies who have stepped forward in faith to lead a Bible Study this fall. Isn't it just the greatest privilege to lead women in discovering God's Word? I can't think of a better use of my time.
Sweet Beth, you will most certainly be in my prayers in the coming weeks as you lay out Esther to all those women. Just let the Lord speak through you as always, and I just know that He will be ever faithful in getting His message out to His beloved.
Would you all also say a little prayer for me? I am supposed to facilitate Believing God to a group of young women starting this Saturday morning, but when our women's ministry leader went to get the DVDs I had asked to borrow, they were no where to be found. It seems someone had taken the church's copies without informing anyone. So please pray that I'll be able to get ahold of another copy of those DVDs. I'm believing God on this one, as I don't want to disappoint all my sisters. Thanks so much.

I am so blessed to live in the same hometown as Kay Arthur and am double blessed to be attending a Bible study at Precept where Kay is teaching live each week. We are studying the last half of the book of Isaiah. I am privileged to sit under such a passionate teacher of God's Word. So I am praying for Kay and my small group leader, Tommye. I feel like Jeremiah when he said, "When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty." (Jer 15:16). I love His Word - all you can eat without the guilt. You are all in my prayers.

Wow! What a night! I so enjoyed the first night of Esther. It was so good to be back. After Proverbs, I didn't want to stop Tuesday nights, so some friends and I did the Daniel study in my home over the summer. What a great study and a great study to do just before Esther. It's kinda like Paul Harvey's "The rest of the story". I'm so looking forward to doing Esther with Beth. I've read Esther many times, taught Esther and seen many movies of Esther. I can't wait to learn something new about this Woman and Her God, My God. God Bless Ladies!!

I am praying for Beth and all the LPM team. May God bless and speak to the hearts of those in attendance and those leading!
My girls and I will be starting "Wising Up" in a couple weeks. I snuck a peak of the video and am excited.
I'm sad to say I won't make it to siesta fiesta. San antonio is a bit too far from SC. Have a good time!

I have got to go to at leat one of those Tuesday night Bible studies! I feel so close yet, so far away from Houston because I live near Austin. Well, my in-laws are here and I have a sneaking suspicion that they're buying my husband andd I a GPS system at Sams Club today. So if they do, I'm so there! It sounds like I will have to get there super early! I can't wait for the whole Esther study! The LPM and your entire family are continually in my prayers!
I just love you guys!

Blessings on you Ms. Beth! Sweet lady, I have, and will be praying for you as you let Him speak through in this way! You rock like Simon Peter! I'd also appreciate from ya'll (can you tell I'm Southern?) some prayer! I am also a Bible Study leader, but I lead a study specifically for survivors of sexual abuse/assault. This is not my first time to lead it, but it seems every semester it gets better, and so much more painful - I'm so glad to meet the women in my group, but also so very sorry for how I get to meet them. To all the Siestas . . .pray for them, and for me! Blessings!

I will be praying for Miss Janie and Miss Jackie and for myself and for Miss Stephanie... I think that covers the three studies I am in! Praise God for Beth! One is A Woman's Heart and another is Beloved Disciple... the work you do is enjoyed in more ways than you can imagine when you are taping! My daughter just came home from teen group holding a bible study with the forward written by Beth... praise God for how good He is!!!!

I am the leader of our Monday night Bible study "A Woman's Heart." I would like to lift up my precious sister, Alice who is such a prayer warrior and is so diligent to e-mail prayer requests to the other ladies. She has been such a help to me. She remembers everyone's birthdays and gets them a card (from all of us)....she brings coffee and delicious snacks for us. I've helped lead several other studies, but am never confident and am always so full of fear. This time I feel the most relaxed I've ever felt. These are my sisters and I love each of them. They are my friends and I have no need to be afraid. I used to worry that they'd ask me a Bible question that I wouldn't know and I should know because I'm a preacher's kid and I've been in church my whole life. I finally realized it's ok if I don't know the answer & to say I don't, but I'll find out. I know God honors my obedience more than anything else and I'm doing it for His glory. Thank you for praying for all of the small group leaders and I'm remembering all of you too.
We will be meeting for the next ten weeks on Mon. nights at 6:30 (Oklahoma time). We have several ladies going through a lot of stuff and we need your prayers. One of our ladies' husband will be having bypass surgery this Wed. at 8:00 a.m. Please keep David in your prayers. He's a precious man of God.
Love,
Valerie

I'm praying for Tara. She'll be leading our Thursday morning bible study starting this week. We're doing Beth's "To Live Is Christ" which is one I've wanted to do for a long time and have been suggesting for a long time, so I'm very excited! I'm sorry I wasn't on here last week, so I didn't pray for Beth. I'm also doing a Celebrate Recovery step study and no I don't mind everyone knowing that. I'm a mess what can I say!

Amanda, I'm so glad you're doing MOPS. I was in MOPS for the last 2 years and I loved it. It was such a relief to find out I wasn't crazy. That other mom's have the same struggles as me. Now all my kids are in school and I miss those ladies. I do see them once in a while which is nice.

We just kicked off our fall Beth Moore study yesterday ("A Woman's Heart"). Our group, which began as a handful of women years ago, is a group of 130 women this fall! I'm praying for all 15 leaders in our group, that the Lord would cover them in the weeks ahead.

I couldn't believe it! We started Believing God at church. This is the 3rd since Jan., up to 17 ladies so far. Here's the point. I was praying regarding the next study...haven't felt particularly led to a certain one, but know God wants us to keep on. My favorite O.T. book? Esther! I can relate; gave me hope that God can be in all kinds of details. Just had said following that prayer,"I wish Beth would do Esther." WOW God is so good. I can't wait to take this study to my ladies at Rose Hill!!
I thank God for Beth's obedience!

I've been struggling with what to do about Bible study this fall (our church only offered one and I've already done it twice) and finally it occurred to me that I needed to lead a group. I bought the Wising Up series and am hosting it in my home beginning tomorrow night. Since there is no homework with it I think that it will minister to some friends who are frustrated with not having time (2 are new moms and 1 is self employed and very busy at this time of the year). Anyway I am very excited and there is one coming who is a newbie, maybe not even a Christian. So now it feels like fall with a new Bible study in the air. So I guess I am praying for myself! Amanda, thanks for all your posts about Bible studies beginning. They got me moving.
