Siesta SMT Celebration Audio Downloads

I can hardly believe a month has gone by since the Siesta Scripture Memory Team Celebration here in Houston. We had a blast studying, worshipping, and fellowshipping with the 500 ladies who attended. We promised to make the messages available to all the SSMT participants who weren't able to join us. The downloads were ready last week but we were just getting the SLI discussion group off the ground and I wanted to let it take root before I buried the posts. Thanks so much for your patience! I hope you will enjoy listening to the sessions this weekend.

Appreciate the opportunity to hear Beth's challenge to us!

Amanda, is it possible to save these mp3 files, so that I can download it onto iTunes and listen via my iPod or do I need to be at my computer to listen? (I'm not "technically-gifted!")

Thank you so much for posting these on the blog. I didn't participate with the scripture memory but this is a message I really needed to hear. I have been asking God to move me, show me a new path, a new purpose. I can see now that I am exactly where He wants me. I am not finished with this season in my life yet. It is up to me to find the "Wonder".

Praise God for His infinite wisdom

I wasn't one of the Siestas this last year, but I have to share God's wonder in just blessing me with this teaching from Psalm 119. I had planned this weekend to attend your "Loving Well" weekend retreat at a local church with two dear friends. It's been planned for weeks and I was SO looking forward to it. Some family obligations came up that I need to be there for and I was feeling sorry for myself not being able to go. Then I get on the blogspot and there's this FREE teaching that so spoke to my heart, can't wait to listen to session two later this weekend. Thank you and thanks be to God for his perfect timing and showing me his wonder today!

What a wonder this teaching is! Thank you so much for blessing those of us who couldn't come to the SSMT weekend with sharing Beth's teaching through the blog. I've been teaching Psalms 119 to my Kairos Ladies Class for the past 3 weeks...we've got at least 2 more weeks to go and we are truly seeing wonderful things for this exact moment in time! Also, our church is beginning a co-ed "Here and Now, There and Then". The men had heard so much about our Ladies Beth Moore studies they asked why couldn't they join us? So our beloved Pastor opened the study up to the whole body on Sunday evenings starting this Sunday! PTL! We are so blessed and looking forward to a great and insightful study on Revelations led by your Mom!

Miss Beth.

I've finished listening the audios, and need to tell you...

Our God *ordained* me to hear them in this very season (specifically, week, down to this very day).

He laid Psalm 119 upon my heart a two days ago, and I had already read the first 16 verses (8 each day); I will continue reading through it for the next 20 days.

Every portion of the lessons spoke directly into 'right where I am' in life. His Word is life to my soul. Mine has been downcast lately (Psalm 42:11), but I am hoping in God!

Isn't He so good?

Thank you for hosing the Siesta gathering. And, I love you, too.

His,
Taylor

Dear Beth
Just starting to listen to these sessions and as you finished your opening my prayer, my heart is so full. I am not a regular "commenter" (except for scripture posts) though I do follow this blog and find it such an encouragement. (and have prayed for many siestas) I just said to the Lord, I have to share some of what is in my heart or it will be burst. So here I am.
I am 67 years old and can`t tell you what the encouragement to memorize scriptures has meant to me. Haven`t done it all perfectly, but I did it and have even chosen to do a couple on my own this year, already. I did not become a Christian until I was 31, and still feel like I am such a baby in many ways, although our family (husband and 3 sons serving the Lord) have grown and ministered in different ways these years. We cut our teeth on scripture, and believed every Word, and lived our lives according to what we read and learned. My husband would say to our 3 teenage sons when they would question a decision involving them, "Because it says so in the Bible - right here!" We have been through many trials (my husband has m.s.), but God has been SO FAITHFUL and kept us believing and trusting in the Word, and never failed to keep His promises to us.
Now we have 11 grandchildren, 2 Pastor sons and 1 fruit-bearing lay pastor son, and 3 awesome God-fearing daughter-in-laws. Who are we, that we should be so blessed.

My purpose for this post, is to say a huge thank you, Beth Moore, for being a large part of what has kept the women of our family, fresh in the Word, believing God, praying for our family, and others. You have been raised up to not just one generation, but several, to keep us focused on our God in these dark days.

One of my daughter-in-laws (my Ruth) and 2 granddaughters (17 & 18) and myself, are coming to see and hear you (&Travis) in March, in Toronto. We are all so excited!! and so wanting to receive all that God has for us. We will be representing 3 of the generations that God has so incredibly blessed to be taught by you. Your life testimony and your life example tells us all- that -God is Who He says He is and God can do what He says He can do and encourages us on!!

O.k. a longer post than intended and I hope you get to read it because it is written with much love and tears of gratitude to God.
Even if you don`t - Amanda will - love you dear girl - you and your sister are an encouragement of how we can claim our families to serve the Lord.

We pray for the Moore household.

Now, I will get back to listening to my session.

Love and prayers
Diane from Ontario, Canada
(so incredibly blessed to be a part of this beautiful community of siestas - love you all.)

Hey, Melissa or Beth, theological question, maybe? When traveling through the desert with the tent of meeting and the ark. Where do you think they got their water for cleansing the offerings and washing themselves? Do you think they needed to find a spring or oasis before they set up camp?

I just wanted to thank you soooo much for letting us hear the siesta celebration. I memorized 24 scriptures 2009 by the Grace of God & I such felt His pleasure in doing so. I was so encouraged by you & all the "siestas" that participated. I so wanted to be @ the event but wasn't able to make it, so once again, Many Thanks & Much Love. I know that through it all God opened my eyes to some WONDERFUL things in His Law.(Psalm 119:18) I pray this year for you & all the women who participated that God would continue to fill you with Deep WANT OF WONDER & open our minds to understand the scriptures(Luke 24:45). I have been deeply blessed.
Thanks again!

I am so excited to get to listen and hear more than I heard the first time. This event was one of the most phenomenal weekends of my life. I needed to be reminded as you taught Psalm 119 that I really am a foreigner since Heaven is my home and not this earthly world.

Thank you Amanda for posting these sessions. I listen and am reminded this experience is in anticipation for what is to come as scripture teaches.

Thank you Beth for the challenge to meditate/memorize scripture. The best part of 2009 was the effect of realizing I could do it.
Plus the benefit of claiming scripture as I lived through various experiences.

Thank you LPM Staff for all you do in support of this ministry. I am blessed because of all of you.

This was a song I had to sing.

Amanda,
I never actually signed in but I was memorizing Scripture along with all of you. I felt that God gave me the assignment of memorizing Psalm 119 (I'm up to verse 39 now). I was blown away when I saw that Beth chose that Psalm to teach during the weekend, and *so* disappointed that I wasn't an official part of the festivities. I kept praying that somehow God would make this teaching available since I'm still immersed in the memorizing and studying of it. Thank you for your faithfulness, for this is an answer to prayer!
Blessings to you and your Mom.

Thanks so much for sharing this!!! I listened to it laying by the pool yesterday. Oh the wonders of weather in Mobile, Al....snowball fights last weekend and a sunburn this weekend. Anyways, it was an awesome message and I'm sure I will need to listen to it again at some point down the road. Everything I have ever heard or read by Mrs. Moore is truly amazing and speaks to women of all ages. Thanks so much for everything ya'll do. This ministry is truly a blessing to me and I'm sure countless other women.
Thanks for all you do!!

P.S. I'm looking forward to Atl in April.

Hello Beth!

You made me smile : )

So far I have only listened to the first night of recordings, in which you talked about being Resident Aliens. For me that brought a grin as I live with one : ) My "man" is from Europe and nearly 25 years ago he received a "Resident Alien" card, which he is suppose to carry with him at all times, should he be asked for this identification. We tease him now and then about being an alien..........now we have all joined the group by your definition : )

Also, I smiled when you mentioned the show "24". I had heard of the show from a few friends and family members, however had never watched it myself. So when you also mentioned the show, I'll admit it started a week long succession of "cultural date nights" for my man and I. He or I made tea, brought the tray into our room, set up our laptop and watched season one over an 8 day period. Yes....I'm sure they are controversial......won't even go there : ) however I did want to mention that I truly grinned from ear to ear when you mentioned the show. At times it must be difficult to be a teacher in "high places" : ) I do love you dearly and pray for you and yours, as you allow yourself to be put in the spotlight.

Blessings sister! Thanks for being real.....so refreshing in Christendom!!

Amanda-thank you so much!! I just finished session one and I am heading into session two...we are snowed in and the kids are being quiet-their older :-). It has been a perfect way to spend my Sunday afternoon. I am feeling so spiritually blessed. I had to grab my scripture cards and have them near. They mean so much to me. I am doing a verse a week this year but had lost my zeal over the past few weeks. My passion for memorizing His words has retured. I so love His law!!

Again, thank you for making this possible for those of us who were not able to be there. The timing could not have been better!

Thank you for the downloads. I listened and need to listen again.

Even before I heard that Beth had taught on Ps. 119 at the SMT celebration, I had decided to do memory work from that chapter this year. Since I no longer have an accountability group (hint, hint), I have decided to extend the challenge to my 2nd-3rd grade Sunday School class, so they are memorizing some of the verses with me.

Due today - "Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of your law." (v18).

Beth et al, I just completed the audios. I laughed, I cried and I cried some more. Thank you. Thank you again for blessing us, the ones who could not be there in person, with this empowering message. My "spiral" will be a yearly adventure...a continued life transformation.

This ministry is a blessing beyond what words could give justice to. Love you gals.

Just finished listening to it. I found so much of the stuff talked about to relate so well to the homework for Breaking Free (updated edition) that I was working onthis afternoon - especially the part about being happy. That just fit so well with the last day of homework for week 6 "To live happily ever after". Thank you for posting this. It was needed for me this weekend.

Thank you so much for posting these sessions, especially for those of us who could not attend. What a blessing to dive into Ps. 119, to be fed upon His word... His teachings and instructions.

Beth, AJ & Melissa, Thank you! I'm definitely going to listen to these, even though I was there! Just listening to the commissioning right now brought sweet tears to my eyes. Thanks for including that part. I'll never forget when my new friend and I were speaking those words to each other. Too sweet. And we love you, we love you, we love you too!!! : )

Thank you for these! I wasn't there (and unfortunatly did not even participate in the memorization) but this teaching was amazing. I have cried and cried and laughed out loud too. Thank you for discipling even those you will never see on the other side of a computer! I have passed these links along to others who I believe will be blessed and spurred on!

I was so excited to see the links and listened to them with my ipod headphones on while at work. The teaching was so good and I could just hear the love in Beth's voice. I must say I laughed out loud (and startled my co-workers) when Beth mentioned the Fat Free Half and Half. Don't you know...I buy it!! I know it makes no sense but somehow it eases the guilt when I use it rather than regular Half and Half! I just love you Beth Moore! I always thought you were a grande non-fat soy latte gal.

Started listening the other day....makes me feel like I did not miss out quite so much. Just curious if there is this a podcast as well? I would love to have it on my ipod but not sure how to go about that... if it is possible.
