Breaking Free Taping

Hi ladies! This is just a little reminder that the Breaking Free taping in New Orleans starts tonight! Please be praying for our Beth, the LifeWay crew, and the attendees.

Beth flew out of Houston immediately after speaking at a luncheon for pastors' wives at our church. (HFBC is hosting the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention this week.) I was fortunate to be able to attend with one of my best friends and we had such a neat time. And yesterday we got to have lunch after church with more than 100 IMB missionaries who are going to be appointed on Tuesday night. (Some of them are Siestas!) I'm going in reverse order, but that was right after an awesome worship service in which our very own Miesta, Travis Cottrell, led worship with our choir and orchestra. Do I even need to tell you how grand it was? Wow! Praise our glorious God!

It has been a really neat couple of days and that's just the beginning for Beth. I can't wait to hear and eventually see on video what God has in store for the taping this week. Thank you for praying, ladies! We are so blessed to have your support!

On a lighter note, I was a little worried when I pulled up the LPM home page and the blog link was missing! Found it - but not before a gray hair was added to my head.

I just know Breaking Free will be awesome!
Today, I watched tape 5 of Stepping Up, and it just touched me right where I needed it most. I just sat there and cried that the verses on loneliness, dissappointment, and unity were just what I needed TODAY! I know that what she is taping will do the same for countless other women who need to feel like they are not alone out there.
I am praying for your family.
Mostly though, thank you Beth for ALL that you do to serve our Lord!

Father God,
You are the Lord of All
And on Your holy and awesome Name we call
Do a mighty & amazing work at the taping of Breaking Free
Release the captives, just like You did for me
May chains fall off and captives run free
Unloose the graveclothes and allow the blind to see
Unlock any prison doors
And leave pride deflated on the floor
Praise You God, You do it for all
On those who believe and on Your Name call
Let a fresh anointing fall on Mama Beth Moore
Reveal Yourself and give treasures from Your eternal store
Once captives break free allow them to live free Lord
Be soaked in Your Spirit and seekers of Your Word
Break the yokes, loose the chains
Let nothing of the "old self" remain
Let nothing hinder the former captives from singing
As freedom and NEW life You are bringing
Christ gave up EVERYTHING so we could be free
Let each one hear this message and say "it's for me"
Out of the prisons let the captives run
We pray in the name of the Father, Spirit and Son.
Amen

Father, break down walls around hearts that need to be healed. Break down lies that have been planted deep in minds, replacing those lies with Your Holy Word. Break down sin, exposing how ugly it is. Raise up an army of angels surrounding this precious group as they feast on Your Word and surrender control to You, Lord. Take control away from the enemy who comes to steal, kill and destroy. I pray for revival and renewal. I pray for lives to be strengthened in faith. I pray that each one will hear in their spirit the sound of the sharpening of a two-edged sword...Your Word...alive and active in them. You are calling us to be ready for battle and the weapon we use is Your Holy Word. Let it be so. In Jesus Name. Amen.

I consider it my privilege and honor to pray over the Breaking Free tapings. Beth, I was lifting you to the Father in prayer this morning at 9:00-- praying Ephesians 3:14-16 over you.

Breaking Free means so much to me. On the morning of September 11, 2001, I gathered up my two little girls and we trekked across town to a church I'd never stepped foot into so that I could join my first women's Bible study group. The study was Breaking Free. My life has never been the same. While terrorists attacked my nation's freedom, God was beginning His freedom work in my life. I will never forget.

In the words of the song; "My chains are gone, I've been set free. My God, My Savior has ransomed me." Sweet Jesus, thank-You!

Just got home from the Breaking Free taping. God so showed up - BIG TIME! It was so awesome and it was just the introduction!! I looked around the room and was struck by two things that just moved me to tears. One, there is such a mix of women, all races, all ages, all sizes, and all reaching out to God. Two, I was set free through the first Breaking Free study. I cry with joy at the miracles and victory that will come to all those women.

And to Beth, Your hair looked great but those of us sitting in the back couldn't see your shoes!! But it was just such a joy being a part of this event that will change so many lives for generations to come.

Amanda,
I just wanted to share a tremendous thanksgiving to others. On election day, my sister was in a terrible car accident. Our powerful, mighty, saving God protected her. I have posted her testimony on my blogs and felt I should share a link to one of my blogs so others can read her testimony. Maybe there's someone out there that needs to know our God is mighty enough to protect them in their situation. The Lord has even ministered that very thing to me just now in a situation I recently experienced! My sister's testimony is powerful and pictures of her vehicle are included. Take care! May our Lord be magnified and glorified!

Sincerely,
Karen

Awesome, amazing, and humbling. I'm sitting in my hotel room just stunned at the love of Jesus. I am here in New Orleans at the taping and I was so thrilled to see so many women just loving the Lord together.

God's presence was so apparent in that sanctuary. He has a mighty work happening among the women. A divine appointment. There is a reason for all of us being here and I'm excited about where God is leading each of us. I'm ready to drop those shackles and live completely Free!

I live in Austin, but was visiting my sister in Houston this weekend. I woke up at her home Monday morning thinking of you and praying that your time in New Orleans would be so blessed!

Then I went to the window and saw that it was raining buckets. So then I worried about your hair. Then I worried even more about your hair because New Orleans isn't exactly a cure for a bad hair day. So I prayed about your hair too.

But seriously, I am currently doing "Breaking Free" and it is changing my life beyond expression. I will count it an honor and a privilege to pray for you this week!

I pray that her heart would just be so filled with Your Love that it would overflow on all those listening to her messages. Take captive every defeating thought and make Your thoughts her thoughts. When she speaks, may it be Your Voice speaking. Holy Spirit, how desperate we all are for Your movement in our lives. Release captives to live in the freedom of Jesus Christ. Father, break through even the most stubborn heart. I'm thanking You right now for the testimonies of faith that will come out of this event. Both now at the taping and in the future through the new version of the Bible study. You are our Reward. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Currently taking Breaking Free (the VHS version) Just finished session 8. The video tape has been viewed so many times now the picture skips and we watched Beth Moore like the "olden days" with 3 channels & an antenna. (the picture kept skipping)-our church is investing in the new version when released. We have said through this series with our "technical difficulties" that hair styles may change, fashion may change, technology may change-but not the message.

I want to thank your for your message tonight! You shared about a woman who had lost her husband and felt like God couldn't really do any to help her. "God could only do so much." You looked right into my face, eye to eye, and said He is enough for me. I you only knew that my stronghold is grief over the loss of my husband two years ago.

I just finished "Stepping Up" and broke into tears for the glorious journey and changes that have come about in my ralationship with my great savior. I saw Beth in Minneapolis, MN this past July and I am ecstatic that she will be in Fargo this summer. I will be doing her Esther study with my group starting in January and wish it was beginning today. God is leading me to use this "off" time from the group study to begin "David 90 Days With A Heart Like His". I did "Jesus 90 days With The One and Only" this last spring, it was the most life changing study I have ever done. I have added John and David to my collection and have been waiting for God to lead me to begin my next 90 days. What an amazing journey that God leads me on and how blessed we are as women to have such a wonderful woman of God to lead us. Thank you Beth and may God bless you and all your paths on the journey to meet your savior face to face.
I Love You,

Beth,

Please know I am praying for you during your tapings this week. You are an amazing servant of our Father and I know He provides your every need. I know that you can't answer me directly, but I've pondered over this question since last Sunday night when I gave my "faith journey" talk to our small group at church. We take turns as couples introducing ourselves and then telling about our life with Jesus. Well Beth, I'm 45 and have overcome a tumultuous childhood (really raised myself) and have dealt with all that pain in counseling. I gave a generic recap of my childhood much like you do when you reference your upbringing, but then the tears began to flow. I got choked up several time. My poor husband interceded for me and would add some of our fun stories of dating. So, I just wondered why my tears still come. Have I not dealt with my past enough or is it that I so rarely talk about it, it just comes upon me when I recall it all? You do such a tremendous job of sharing your faith with such conviction and showing the blessing that have come from ashes. I want to be there to. I stay in God's word constantly and enjoy Bible study groups so much. God has blessed me beyond measure with a beautiful marriage and home (not perfect but a far cry from where I came from). I want to get to the place of where He has brough me is the focus not the tears from the brokenness. Just wondering how you manage that balance here in Atlanta. My husband keep urging me to teach God's word. Me? Not adequate by any means. Love you and I'm praying for you.

Beth, my husband and I were among the large group visiting your church on Sunday morning and appointed Tuesday night. What a blessing! I thank the Lord for the ministry for which He's appointed you and your staff -- exhorting women all over the world to fall in love with His word. Our time worshipping in the Body at FBC Houston will be a memory we'll long remember.
With love and gratitude, Allison H

My husband and I went to an IMB appointment conference this past spring. I wept as I listened to each individual and couple's stories of how God had plucked them from the safe and familiar and called them overseas. God also used it to confirm His call over our lives to go. Now we wait expectantly and ready!

Amanda,
I am just catching up on my blogging favorites after a week of travel.

I just wanted to say that it was such a blessing to see you and your Mom in Houston!
I have now learned that there IS something tougher for a speaker than being the first one after lunch. It is being the first speaker after lunch when the luncheon KEYNOTE is Beth Moore!!

Seriously, FBCH is such a friendly church and was a wonderful experience!! (You can however, keep that Monday weather on your side of the Gulf!! :)

I am still praying for your Mom in NO! and the fun day seeing her new G-Daughter that will follow! There is nothing like it!!
Bless you!

I pray for Beth always. I was fortunate enough to be at the SBTC meeting and the lunch she spoke. You know, she may be little but she is mighty. I came home and told some of our church ladies I "had lunch " with Beth Moore and they nearly mobbed me. What an event! God uses her at the right place at the right time.
