Oh the Products

OK, I don't have ten seconds to be on here today. I mean it. Not ten seconds. I've got to write all my intros and outros for the Breaking Free taping so don't even think about tempting me to linger. But what I saw on television this morning while watching my usual half hour of Good Morning America and putting on my mascara should not go without comment. Did you know that you can now purchase shoes that automatically work out your gluteus maximus when you walk? And that's not all! You can now buy Splenda with a gram of fiber in it.

I'm just saying.

I'm just curious as to why putting fiber in Splenda is a need. Is being regular that big of a problem in America?

Oh yes, I had 4 grams of fiber in my coffee this very morning!!!

Oh bless the sweet name! If I wore the gluteus maximus shoes to Jazzercise, where we work out the gluteus maximus for the whole hour, I would surely have a nice gluteus maximus. I'm just sayin'.

And did I really just say that on the world wide web?

AND, fiber in the Splenda. We all know what that'l do to ya'! I'M JUST SAYIN'!

Okay - so your "not ten seconds" post begs for answers to these questions:

1. Are the shoes that work out your gluteous maximus going to be comfortable and what do you look like when you are walking in them?

2. Does it take the whole 30 minutes of GMA for you to apply your mascara???

3. Splenda...tastes like sugar, works like Benefiber...hmmmm...is that right???

Have a great Friday, friend...thanks for the laugh!

Blessings,
Dori

That's not all. This holiday season is going to be a shoppers paradise! I'm not trying to be insensitive about the economy...but this is a bright side for us! I heard a blurb on the news this morning that "American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Soma, Gap, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Talbots and J. Jill have offered discounts on their entire merchandise lines!" Now that's something to be happy about. I did look up the article, its at the new york times and its called "retailers report a sales collapse" if anyone wants to read about the discounts.

They are especially wonderful if you have knee pain. Pretty amazing to walk almost pain free, almost immediately. They recommend that you break them in slowly -- I recommend that also. I LOVE mine!!

You all shut down comments muy pronto... as for a house united, be patient and you get it, for real, without biting of lips... if you promise to be quite, which is like asking the sun not to shine...

if you promise to shhhuish, shhhuish for now... look at what is happening under the radar... a referendum here (almost without press)because of a tear everywhere, and some really terribly hard hearts, the hardest (hearts you could never reach, no offense) turning with the seasons, if your quite, patient, and keep your cool... you just might see, some ways being made straight...
you might just begin to see the difference; it is not a religious plan, the Spirit is always a damper on intolerance.

And with willingness, disciple (not what you thought it was), and labor you'll see the Presence of God, not the edifice of church. Through fellowship in places of good will people feel safe to work out their problems-- that has always been the Great Reality, envisioned by the All Powerful Creator... is not that how you came to Christ, not the habits of a child (that's beautiful and treasured)but the contrition of an adult (the real deal)?

People don't trust, in a place of judgment. God wants to see people’s hearts, NO ONE has sunk too low, but moral distinctions, petty rivalries and jealousy are obstacles to the work "at hand." This is how people have made their own misery, that is a tough realization, and the consequences will last but they will soften over time... God does not ordain evil.

As a Friend said to me-- "Being wrecked in the same vessel, being restored and united under one God, with hearts and minds attuned to the welfare of others, the things which mattered so much, once released, free people up to signify something, Someone greater, whether they realize it, or not. How could it be otherwise?"

Remember; keep it quiet, beginnings if born in humility, if they are honestly made by a people, have, over time, a very Great Effect… and once felt, it is difficult not to comment. But that is necessary in order to cease the opportunity in the moment to earnestly to re-appraise motives, so that priorities can be righteously re-ordered for the long journey ahead.
No talk, talk, talk or think, think, think that is what went wrong; look, look, look, and feel, feel, feel as a good beginning leads to action that will require right-ordered senses, where faith ceases to be an emotion or theological abstraction. With open hands and earnest heart faith becomes the principle sense. This Right Faith is the purpose of God’s action; it is very much like a spiritual homeland. Faith is not, as so many have bewildered them-selves to believe, a purpose for their actions, a magical source judgment and power—that is playing God. His motives are not ours; let Him be who He is, that means Judge and Power, and sister-momma I promise He will not disappoint.

Ezekiel 28:25-28

As for the Splenda (puke), I would just as soon not have any sweetener (I keep it in the house for guests), artificial sweeteners give me migraines. I will tell everyone else I know, pretty much everyone, that uses the gross, useless stuff.

I'm normally not up at this hour, but I've been sick and I have ten tons of laundry. I'll be up at 4:50 a.m. sharp to pray for you on Monday, November 10. Mama Beth, the tennis shoes you mention are all the rage amongst the MANY London commuters --- and not just women! the sole of these shoes are 'convex' so to promote a 'rocking' effect of your own sole as you walk, run or even stand (thereby using muscles I didn't even know I had!). that said, my commuter train is starting to feel like an amusement park ride with all this rocking !

Blessings on the updated Breaking Free. The first one put a new meaning and a new way of seeing Isaiah 61:1-4 that I have not forgotten. I want to be a planting of the LORD, an oak of righteousness! And I just saw a commercial about Splenda with added fiber. I bet it sells!

To Grumpy Pants--yes, when you're over 50! LOL!

Off topic...but Beth, be sure to head to Cafe Du Monde and Mother's Restaraunt while you're in N.O. Don't forget to soak in all the great architecture, accents, jazz music and genuine love in the city. I ADORE that city!

Oh My Goodness! Breaking Free was the first study I lead back in 2001! Have been doing 1 or 2 a year since then. We did A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place, the original version 3 times! The ladies and I and a few of their husbands, built replica's of the ark of the Covenant, the lampstand, the altar of incense, the table of shewbread. it was an incredible experience. in 2007, we did the newest version and remade the lampstand and the veil. awesome. we have learned so much from you, Beth! Love the Greek and Hebrew words in all the studies. my friend, Mindy, and i still say 'dunamis'! Love your ministry and love God MORE because of your studies.

I would encourage some to try Stevia as a sugar substitute. It is an all natural substitute and there are several brands available. Stevia is derived from a plant and is naturally high in fiber. I fact I have read that four packets can contain as much fiber as a bowl of oatmeal. I love it in green tea and yes, I put it on my oatmeal.

Are you just saying that all of us siestas have a "regular" problem not to mention a large posterior? Hello, after the last story I told you about my XXL sticker advertising the fact, the least you could have done was not mention any antidotes to the problem! LOL! I'm just saying.

I need those shoes! I clearly cannot work my gluteous maximus enough. If you could see it you'd know what I mean. I hope you wouldn't say "you're right. You seriously need to work your gluteus maximus." I might have to hurt you even though I know it's true. So you don't need to say it! None of the workouts I have done have really helped much. So where can I get those shoes. The thought that I could actually work them while doing housework! Surely they'd become a more acceptable size then.

This has absolutely nothing to do with "products" and everything to do with God working in my heart tonight. I'm off to bed, but just needed a word tonight from God. I clicked on James and Betty's website to see this week's webcast "Loving Difficult People (part two)"...agape love.

I've heard it before and remember the teaching from "Living Beyond Yourself", but somehow, at the close of what has been a very taxing week on my emotions, this was the word I was desperately seeking.

Thank you, Beth, for the timeless teachings you present through the power of God's Word and active Spirit living within you. I'll be thinking of you and all those gathered in the coming week for the taping. As always,

peace for the journey~elaine

Hope the intros and outros went well!!

Really? Spenda with fiber? Do you have to put the box in your coffee/tea to get the fiber?

And my gluteus maximus is still hurting from the workout it got during gentle yoga (which is by the way NOT gentle at all).

Beth, I pulled up your blog tonight and signed off, feeling a bit out of sorts but excited you will be in New Orleans filming the updated Breaking Free.It is a privilege to pray for your ministry there. I traveled from Austin each week for the preview series in Houston and the series is "dynamite". Thank you! I'm now 59 and after a life time of "opportunities" for healing, the latest challenge in my life seems so "stupid" I thought the dark night of my soul over the past 11 years was beginning to transform into God's light- what in the world???? I'm now facing financial struggles that just should not be in my life and frankly I'm fussing at God about this latest lesson. I've survived some of life's greatest hurts and the fact Satan is now trying to bring up one more opportunity to defeat me is so irritating to say the least- so take my house, my jewerly, my china, my crystal, etc.- so what???- these are not important compared to my children's lives and the generational issues which have been addressed and healed- Anyway, thanks for this chance to write and get this off my chest- please do not publish my comments unless you sense they are of value- I just needed a voice tonight- I do pray for your ministry in New Orleans and your on going ministry of freedom in our Lord- thank you and God's great love over your life and those you love,A friend in Christ

My friend bought those shoes - it takes time to learn how to "walk" in them and they aren't that pretty on the eyes. I'm not sure about the splenda - will have to try it. I'm missing Beth in my studies - I am studying the Women of the Bibleby Spangler and Syswerda. It would be great if you could do a study like that!

And I actually have the Splenda with fiber in my little dish for my tea! It's great! :) A little extra fiber is good for you...

Not sure which shoes y'all are talking about but I have just purchased my 2nd pair of Earth shoes (first pair from Zappos.com and 2nd ones on sale at OnlineShoes.com)that have negative heels which make you have better posture and work out your legs as you walk. I can definitely tell the difference. Be sure to break them in gradually. They have sandals, regular shoes & "tennis" shoes - just be sure to get the Kalso Lite negative heels. They are a little pricey but extremely well made. When you've had foot surgery and cannot get your foot in anything else, you're thankful to find something that works, looks decent and helps. Negative on the Splenda - not good for you.

If you buy the leather type ones, they dont.

OH help me, rhonda. I just found your blog and I think I may lose sleep for the next year catching up on old posts! Beth, I have missed you! I did about four studies in a row, between this church and that one, and then started working and couldn't prticipate, and yada yada yada. I have been in a real rough spot lately, knowing I am wondering around as far away from the lord as I have ever been, knowing I needed to FIX IT, but refusing. Then, the back page of Homelife had the ad for Esther, and God whopped me upside the head with it. There is no reason I cannot climb out of this rut, get off my butt and FIX IT! No one is currently leading a study at my church, FBC, HOBBS, NM, so I called my pastor and said "I wanna do that! I need to do that!" He said "Please do!!" So in January, we will begin Esther. I am not the leader, the teacher, the nuthin- I am the facilitator in that I will know where the DVD's and remote controls are. Aside from that, I am drinking it up along with everyone else. I'll probably puke the first time I greet the room full of ladies, hope they forgive me, but I am SOOOOOOO excited!! I cannot wait to get started. I am so glad God hit me over the head with that magazine!

Hello,

This is a little off topic but still very much product related, not as exiciting as Shoes and Glutes and Splenda Fibre..but important none the less.

I was wondering if you could assist me in finiding a really well illustrated and very well written (corresponds to the truth of God's word) Children's Bible for a young girl around 8 who likes girl things and also likes adventure and action. Also one a parent would enjoy and learn from as well. I know I am not asking alot, am I?? ;)

Would you be able to assist me with such a request or at least point me in the right direction.

Thank you so much for your input and help. IT is greatly appreciated. Lord Bless you all in abundance!

Hey girls--

I've been fighting with my heel since June. Yesterday my podiatrist prescribed a pair of shoes that he called "rockers". I went to the store to find them, expecting just a pair of shoes with more of an arch for support... When I heard the sales lady who owns 4 pair tell another lady that she "hasn't lost any pounds, but about 4 inches" I said to myself SOLD!!! I walked to the end of the mall and my calves were already burning.... and if they heal my heel... all the better!!! LOL. One caveat... they're not very cute...
