Power Outage

UPDATE: The power is back on! Praise the Lord! Thank you for your prayers!
Prayer Warriors, there's been a power outage in the sanctuary at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church. It happened in the beginning of the filming of Session 9. They've sent everyone away for an hour. Please pray! Thanks!

Oh, sweet Jesus, how I know there is an enemy up to something big because You are up to something huge in New Orleans! If there is ever a message he doesn't want anyone to hear it is the message of Your sweet freedom. God, I ask you to become our Holy Electrician and fix what needs to be fixed. If the delay is so that some sweet sister's heart can be softened for when taping resumes I pray that You are doing that even as I type out these words.

Oh, my Savior, You can move the mountains...You are, indeed, mighty to save. I ask you to come and save the day right now but more importantly God I ask you to come and save and rescue someone through this experience.

I pray that this not become a distraction for Beth, but I pray that she will come back fueled with a fiery love for You and Your message and that there will be a extraordinary and supernatural power and passion that has only been intensified through this little glitch!

God, have I told you today that You are it for me? Have I told you enough how much I love you? Have I told you what Your deliverance means to me? We worship You Father in this hour. Thank You, thank You, thank You for being the One who came to set captives free. Thank you for setting this captive free!!!

Holy Spirit, rain down on that sweet precious place today!! We need a downpour of You today. Bring it! We are desperate for You today.

Amen.

Father, we believe You are Lord over ALL and have purpose in allowing this outage. Please draw the Body tightly together in prayer support for this situation and for Beth as well. Bring fresh, insightful perspective to her for the teaching time ahead. May what the enemy intended for evil be used for Your Good in Jesus' Mighty Name amen and amen!!

I was getting my hair done this morning and the girl who does my hair told me she had gotten on Beth Moore's blog and she had seen a comment I had made. So, even though I wasn't home to read the request, we were talking about Beth today and I was commenting to my hairdresser the hard work Beth is involved in at the moment with the tapings.
I'm praying now that the rest of the day goes very smoothly!

If I remember correctly, Week 9 of Breaking Free was all about strongholds and deprogramming and reprogramming our minds. Powerful indeed. The enemy of old doesn't like that powerful word coming out, but God prevailed! Amen!

I was there at the church with the power outage. I have to say GOD GOT THE GLORY! We prayed and praised and then Beth came out and led us in sharing testimonies of how JESUS HAS SET US FREE and been at work in our lives! If causing the power to go out was the best that the enemy could do, that was pretty petty indeed! The sessions went on just about an hour and a half over the scheduled time. IT WAS WORTH IT! The enemy is under our feet.

That power outage started an awesome time of prayer among all of us. God's name was raised high! And in that time with no electricity, the power of the Holy God fell heavy across that sanctuary!
I am praying that what started in New Orleans at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church does NOT stay in New Orleans.
Let's take all that God has equipped us with and let thes message spread like wildfire through our communities, our churches, and our circles.
To Him be the glory!

What an amazing time that was for us just to stop and listen as we sat in the dim light. I had a great time praying with other ladies. Beth finished strong and a great time was received by all. Could anyone tell me where you can purchase the praise and worship songs that was sung over the course of this week in New Orleans? I love the song about the bleeding woman.."If I could just touch the hem of His garment." LOVE IT and wept as we sung. Would love to have the CD.

What a blessing that power outage was!! We gathered in small groups to share what God had shown us during the week. We had one lady that came for the first time and one lady that none of us had ever met. The lady we had never met told us that her son was in prison. The lady that had only come that day had a son that had just gotten out of prison 3 months ago. Both sons were drug related prison sentences. I get chills as I remember how they ministered to each other - mom to mom. That power outage may have been meant to stop ministry but it allowed God to work in two women's lives and all of the rest in the group to be in awe. It was a Powerful Power Outage! To God be the Glory!!

I was there and it was amazing--God showed up in such a powerful way, I can hardly breathe. Our God is mighty to break our strongholds and the testimonies were flying! I had so many specific words spoken to me by the Lord, that I had to get to my journal to write so I wouldn't forget anything. I have been to many mountain top week/week-ends and after this, I can truly say I will never be the same. Thanks be to God!

Trust me when I say that the power outage did nothing but ELECTRIFY us all! What a tremendous blessing this past week has been. I'm not sure I heard Beth say anything, but the Lord was speaking through her and directly into my heart all week long! I am a changed woman, wife, mother, friend and follower of Christ! I was able to share my experience with my young married Sunday School class this morning. One man found me after class and remarked that he needed to go through a study just like this one cause he had some "stuff" to deal with too! Praise Him!

God IS the light, and it sounds like He used the down time for His purposes. Praise His holy Name. Press on Beth! He is our light!

Thank you, Beth, Amanda, Melissa and all the staff of LPM and the LifeWay staff. God is using you powerfully. Saturday morning was the only time I could attend. The power outage afforded the opportunity to utter prayers that would not otherwise been expressed out loud. The Spirit of God was palpable. The enemy was trampled. Hearts are healing, prayers are being answered and through it all God is glorified. All because Beth Moore came to town with her crew and the enemy tried to stop the event.

As Moses, David, and Isaiah said, HE is our Salvation, our Strength and our Song.
