If you are waiting on your book
Ladies, LifeWay has graciously provided us with access to the first week of homework for our No Other Gods study. So if you decided to join us at the last minute or if you are waiting for the book you ordered to be delivered, you will still be able to start the study on time. Week 1 will be available indefinitely, but this is the only week that will be made available.
Click here and scroll down to "Samples and Posters." You will see links to the Intro and Session One. Print it off and you'll be good to go!

Girls - thank you! I ordered mine two weeks ago through my local Lifeway and it is still not here and I was, I admit, a bit disappointed today, even though I am solo and am going to still cook the meal for my man and daughter who is coming over with the grandie . . . yeah God! I believe He gave you all the idea! Yee-ha!
Thank you to the women who go above and beyond to make things happen for other women in the faith. It is not always the case, but it is wonderful and powerful.

Great! I just decided this morning that I would jump on board with a bloggyland friend. I'm so looking forward to being a part of the Summer Siesta Bible Study and can hardly wait to see what God has planned!

I took a chance and got 4 at Lifeway at Willowbrook today!! Of course that won't help you guys in Canada but it might help some in Houston...... They had some shipped from other stores.

Thank you Amanda and Lifeway team. I thought I was going to pick up my member book at a Lifeway store in Memphis. It turns out that lots of ladies from different churches are doing the study in this area and the bookshelf was empty. I ordered one online and it has not arrived.
This will keep me from falling behind in study. I truly appreciate your kindness.

So glad everybody can start on time!! That is so huge -- to feel part of the group. I am going solo and have already enjoyed Session One this morning. We have Vacation Bible School tonight at our church. To incorporate the food part (they feed us supper at VBS), I am making the Butterfinger Cake out of the workbook to take and share with the teachers. It is so much fun living in Siestaville!

I have been reading about the bible study and really wanted to do it but couldn't find anyone to do it with so I put off getting the book. After seeing the first week online and reading the first few pages I KNOW I need to be in this study!!! God do a work in me and in every lady doing this study, I want to worship and SERVE only you, help me in Jesus name.AMEN.

Thank you so much! I ordered my group's books 3 weeks ago from our local Lifeway, and they still are not here. We were going to have to do ours on Thursdays because of everyone's schedule. But, I was still disappointed that it wasn't going to be available yet. Lifeway team, you are the best!

Thanks, I haven't gotten mine yet and I live in California, except I'm traveling and am in Colorado Springs...I'm wondering if the Focus on the Family bookstore will have it....if not, I'm on my way to Oklahoma on Friday and maybe the Voice of the Martyrs has it? Probably not...but I shall get it somehow....:)

Thank you so much! This is great! I decided last minute to do the study. I had tried to get a couple of friends on board and couldn't, then left for a weeklong vaca (to Sea World in San Antonio no doubt, like someone else I read about) thinking I'd have to time to get the book when I got back. I didn't. Oops. But my husband did say he'd do the study with me - yay!

Why can't they put the whole thing online and we can download it, just like we did with Believing God? Just a suggestion-
My daughter and I loved reading the recipes and really will make them! but for tonight---we went to Lubys. :) As an added bonus my daughter-in-love has joined the group too so I'll run get her a book also. I'm so jazzed we are doing this together. At the same time I'm doing Breaking Free with my mother on Wednesday mornings at the Met. God is so good!!!! We worked on the verse tonight. Love ya! Vicki

My group met tonight and it was such a blessing! We are a group of college girls, each with our own unique story...God has a crazy way of bringing together what seems like an unusual group, but I know and trust that its perfect. :) We laughed and shared and encouraged. This comment is for Stacy Harp. The LifeWay store on Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City had the book. You might want to call first in case they have sold out since I bought mine. I haven't been to Mardels lately but they carry all of Beth's books so they might have this one too. We have several Mardels in OKC.

I had ordered my book before I left for church camp for a week and when I got back the order had come in, but it was the book and not the workbook. :(
I was about to think I was too overwhelmed with everything to participate and thought I'd be too far behind. I didn't even have a group to do the study with.
I decided to call the Lifeway store in Oklahoma City and the sweet guy on the phone (Jacob) told me they didn't have any but he'd call some other stores for me.
I hung on for quite a while while he took the time to check. He got back on the phone and apologized for taking so long, but had located one in Lubbock, Texas. It should be in OKC in a day or two. What a sweet young man to take the time to be so helpful.
Then I saw that one of my sweet blogging friends has a group she's doing the study with and they accepted me into their group.
I'm so excited to get started and so thankful this has worked out.
I printed off session one and am ready to begin!

So sorry about your dogs. We have a 1 yr old Schnauzer/dachshund mix who rules the house. I told my husband that if anything happens to her I'll be at the shelter the next day for a new puppy!!!
I pulled up in my driveway yesterday after work and there was my book!! God is so good to supply our needs. I wanted to ask for prayer as I am doing this study by myself and find myself drifting away from praying and worshipping God. I need to find a new church home but it is easier to stay in bed than to go. My husband no longer goes with me and I am often torn on going by myself or being with him. I find myself longing for the closeness I once had with Jesus. Please pray for me. All of you brightenmy day. Beth, I simply adore you! For some reason the video ended before you talked about your cute flip flops.
Sorry this is so long, I am really going to try to stay with this study and get close to my Lord again.

I started the Bible Study last night (all by myself). I really loved the intro and have started the first lesson. I will have to admit that it has already "stepped on my toes".

When I first ordered the book, I mistakenly ordered the book by David Cook publishing instead of the Lifeway workbook. I received those quicky enough to realize my mistake and so I had ordered my workbooks a few weeks ago from a local bookstore. They had told me that the supplier had 3 copies left of the workbook, which was absolutely WONDERFUL as I only needed 2 copies. They were supposed to arrive yesterday, the 17th. I didn't get a phonecall during the day, and I was a little excited, so I called them and asked if they had arrived. They forgot to order the books for me. I am so disappointed right now.
I am thrilled that lifeway is letting us have the first weeks lessons, but I don't know how long it would take to get the workbooks to me now.
That's welcome news. I just decided to start this study and ordered it on-line. I'm doing it alone. I'm just finshing up leading a study at church by my very favorite Bible study author ;), and while I loved the study, leading the group was not a good experience. I'm still not sure if I misunderstood and God really didn't want me to be leading it or if Satan just decided to hit me hard, but I really dreaded going each time and had to deal with some nastiness that I can't seem to get over. I think I need some time alone with God to try to sort it out. I'm looking for all the help and wisdom I can get out of this study. Thanks Beth. Thanks Lifeway!
I did not order the book as I have some Bible Study stuff already, but I downloaded the chapter and wow it looks great. It sounds like Lifeway is having a hard time filling orders so I may wait to get mine, but I will definiting do it at a future date. Thanks for the recipes. Shalom
I am having difficulty printing the session one. I went to the local Christian bookstore today and they only had the book. I will order the workbook online tonight. Has anyone else had a problem printing? I can print (and I do ) anything else..so just wondering.

I had been sitting on the fence about this study. When my local Lifeway store said they were out-of-stock, I said, OK God, I'm not going to do it (because I knew shipping would delay the process). Now, after reading this post, I ordered it for me and my daughter.

I had already decided we'd meet twice a month but still had know idea what God wanted us to do. Then I decided to catch up on the LPM blog and there was our summer study waiting. I still wasn't sure if I could pull it off in time, but there you all were, so clever to help all of us last minute siestas. BUT I still didn't think we could do it in time, THEN a Lifeway representative called me to see if I needed any help with our fall study planning. OK I got the message now. Organize the study and they will come. I'm glad God doesn't give up us :)

Hey Beth & Living Proof team! I'm not sure if this is the correct place (entry) to check in at, but I wanted to let you know that Mt. Carmel Baptist in Cincinnati, OH is checking-in for the Siesta Summer Bible study. We're a little late getting the word out there, but sent word out to approx 60 siestas to join in. Still waiting to hear from everyone and get a final count, but we're in! Thanks so much for doing this. This has God's hands all over it!

LifeWay is supposed to get more of the workbooks in on Wed. If you go ahead and backorder on lifeway.com it will ship when it arrives at LifeWay.
I ordered mine last week, yet even the warehouse is out. This is due to unexpected need/demand of this book. I now will not receive mine untill the end of the 1st or 2nd week in July! What do I do??? Will lifeway provide the second week as well, I'm assuming I'm not the only one with this wait!
I was able to get my book today. I was in Dothan AL. The Lifeway there has 7 books they have not put out yet. They came in today. Anyone in the area might want to know that!
