I can't tell you how much your writings and devotional journals have touched my life. I am hoping to get to the simulcast you are doing in August... I found a church that is doing it about a half hour from my house in central Wisconsin.
Your books "Get out of that Pit" and "When Godly People do Ungodly things" have really impacted me this past year... and your transparency has inspired me to be transparent as well, through all my struggles.
I guess that the only way that I can give you a birthday present is to tell you that God is using you to truly change peoples lives and give them the tools to come into greater freedom, and deeper relationships with Him. God has used you in my life.

We are one year apart in age, but a lifetime apart in finally getting what GOD was trying to say to us (your birthday is only 5 days after mine!...The major difference is... YOU listened and heeded HIM way, way earlier and just look at the results of obedience!

I was out of town this weekend talking to a longtime salesman of Broadman Holman publishing (resident of Nashville) and he has seen so many different people in the Christian publishing world and he will be blunt and honest about anyone and this is what he said about you:
He said "She is the real thing. Some think a bit "eccentric", but she's the real thing."
I laughed and laughed because they consider "eccentric" really loving Jesus and being willing to go "face down" before HIM and believing that GOD is still a GOD we can believe in and works today and not in times past. I just loved it!!

I can not begin to tell you how much you have meant to my spiritual growth and the women (and men) who have been studying in our group for years! The men are always excited when one of the ladies have missed a session and bring home the DVD to watch. It gives them a chance to join in some of the study.

Short story about the FATHERS DEVOTIONAL: My husband and I just began trying to conceive and oh how I prayed for God to bless us! The desire of my heart was for my husband to know he would be Father on Fathers day and in faith I purchased that devo knowing that if God would bless us, that is how I would tell him I was pregnant! Praise to the ONLY one who gives life and hears our cries! My sweet husband found out he was going to be a daddy on Saturday and is already on day 2 of that study! This morning he prayed over me the prayer of blessing Curtis had the men write in the blanks.

My first "Beth Moore" experience was at a mother-daughter luncheon in College Station where you spoke for our daughters' "sorority." I then began one of your Bible studies for some of our girls at DBU in my home. And I saw and heard your passion for God demonstrated.
