Just Back From Nashville
Hey, Siestas! My man and I hopped on a plane yesterday afternoon for Nashville and we're already back for crying out loud. It was meant to be a quick trip but it flew so fast that I'm not sure I didn't dream it. Travis, our LPL praise team and I were asked to be part of the Sunday morning worship service for the beginning of this year's GMA Week (the Gospel music thing that hosts the Dove Awards, etc.) When I got on the plane yesterday, AJ said to me on the phone, "Mom, come back with some blog-able moments. Remember your blog girls while you're up there. Remember your blog girls!" And I did! I never forgot you! The problem is, I didn't stay long enough to have something earth-shatteringly exciting happen BESIDES OF COURSE that I did get to serve servants in the merciful Name of Jesus which is a privilege I don't take lightly. I'm not exactly sure WHO I served because the lights were so dim on the audience and so bright on the stage that I couldn't see a soul. For all I know, Keith was the only one out there and I'm not sure he didn't go to Starbucks for a grande Americana with an extra shot while I spoke then haul himself back in there before I finished the last eighteen lines of my final poem (JK. Didn't really throw a poem on them). I think Travis escaped with him.
Keith and I did get to hang out in the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel and people watch for a few - I do mean a VERY few - minutes. And here are a few people we did not see.
Amy Grant. I've always liked her and kinda grown up with her through her music but I fell head over heels in love with her when I got to sit behind her at a Women of Faith conference a few years ago. Not only was she maybe the most humble, approachable person I've ever never expected to meet. She also had two very simple barrettes in that long gorgeous hair of hers and they didn't match. I was endeared forever. But I think she has forgotten that we are BFF.
Nicole C. Mullen (and, as her personal trainer, I really needed to check her progress)
Third Day. That's because I left on the First Day. I'm so bitter.
Casting Crowns. If we are the Body, where is the LOVE???
Michael W. Smith. I don't even get to call him Smitty.
Mandisa. She hates me.
Not really.
Kirk Franklin. Don't get me started. I did, however, hear "Stomp" playing over the speaker in the elevator of the hotel. It was the next best thing to seeing him live. I was coming down from the 20th floor so I got to answer the "GP, are ya with me?" Oh yeah... No one else in the elevator even sang it. I don't think they'd had much sleep.
Stephen Curtis Chapman. His wife and I are both "Beths". Does that count for a dang thing?
Most of the artists I did see were like twelve years old but I liked them. I liked them a lot. I wanted to be their friend. I liked their hair. And I wanted them to like me. But I don't think they did. I think it was my hair. I almost had really cool hair today though. When I got out of bed this morning in the hotel room and stumbled into the bathroom, I glanced in the mirror and, had I gotten a level three Mystic Tan instead of a level two, I would have SWORN I saw Prince. Not A prince. Prince as in the artist formerly known as. My hair looked exactly like his. I thought about just spraying it like that but then again, I didn't know if Keith wanted to escort Prince to speak at the worship service. I felt a sense of loss when I brushed it out though.
My personal highlight is that I really did get to hang around today after the worship service and hug women's necks (willing women, that is. I don't maul anybody unless she has popcorn) and get pictures made and, most of all, boast in the Lord and lay hands on a few and pray. The hardest part of the events being a little larger through this season is not getting to hug a whole passel of women and hear their God-stories and tell them eye to eye how much they mean to me. How dearly Jesus loves them. How He WILL redeem every loss. Every ounce of pain. Every season of sin. If we'll let Him.
But I sort of get to do that here. All but the hugs. But, then again, sometimes you give a hug and sometimes you write one. Consider one written.

Sounds like a quick, fun trip.
Thanks for all you do.Quick
trips are tough. I know it is worth it to you to minister to sisters in Christ.
Love ya, Melissa
(((((beth)))))) - a cyber hug from me. Along with love and blessings - Debbie in Tennessee
Thanks for the hug! : )
Oh, how I needed that hug. Thank you! I'm just back from four nights in four different hotel rooms and 16 hours total of driving, and have never been so glad to see my little bed. I wonder what rock star my hair will look like in the morning? xoxo
Beth,
You touch my heart so! Hugs to you from me and thank you for the blessings you give all of us here and across the globe!! You are a true servant and we all love you so!!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
Sounds like a wonderful trip! We are doing you Bible study "Breaking Free" in a group at my church. We are about half way through the study....there weren't many dry eyes this week as you talked about the last moments with your mother. Thanks for sharing your heart, Beth...the real you...in your studies and in person. Several of us could relate on many levels. We chuckle to see the different "hair styles" in the video..we have the ones on VHS tapes...the styles may change but HIs message is forever the same. Thanks for being a vessel used by Him and teaching us how to "go and do likewise". Blessings!
Sending a tight hug back your way, Siesta!
You crack me up!! See you in two weeks, OK? I was praying just this morning in service for that very event...asked God to bring it--giving us more of a heart that loves like He does and eyes that see what He does.
Love,
holly
Consider yourself hugged back!
Delightful, delightful posting Beth! I laughed and smiled and went -- ahhhhhh - felt like I was there with you on this QUICK trip!
Now, did Keith confess to not really being there???? Too funny . . . LOL!
Have a great week Beth and the LPM gang . . .
I seriously give you and Hannah Montananess credit for the reason I can hang on during crazy school! Thanks so much for being you. I so enjoyed reading what you just wrote while I'm trapped upstairs in my sorority sister's room (seriously, I thought those fun little secrets were over- geez). Awww... thanks for the written hug. I love it! Hopefully, I'll get to give you a real one someday. Love ya!
Love you lots Beth.
When I was 12, I got to meet Amy Grant backstage. Then, during her concert, she had a security guard pick me up and put me on stage. It was probably the best moment of my childhood. So I TOTALLY get the Amy-Grant-love-a-thon!
I'm sittin' home, skipping church tonight and thought I'd visit to get some spiritual insight....My insight is that you are such an in depth Bible teacher that somehow causes me to be so curious to know Jesus more but also...Your Momma would be proud because you ARE funny!! and..because I think I'm funny...I like you!! Thanks for bloggin'.
Beth,
Consider yourself hugged back.
Would've like to seen the Prince-do!
Have a blessed week. Will be praying for you guys as you're still settling in.
Much Love...

Beth, Thanks for the post. It made me smile.
Will be praying for you guys as you're still settling in.
Have a blessed week!

What a wonderful time you had! Maybe short, but it sounds memorable. :D
Beth, Consider yourself hugged back. Would've liked to seen the Prince-do!
Will be praying for you guys as you're still settling in.
Have a great week.
I don't read many blogs. I guess I am too old and too busy with my kids, but you make me laugh out loud! Thanks for the reminders that God is there and laughing with us. Keep up the great work.
Beth, it sounds like you still had a great time, even if it was short. I'm sure they all liked you, too. What's not to like? - in the words of Prince Edward from the movie Enchanted (we watch this several times in a week, my 3-1/2 year old daughter and I. She is trying to learn to use the word "romantic" in a sentence...her own doing, not mine. She hasn't quite got it yet).
Oh, how I love Nashville and miss it terribly. It was my home for 12 years, and my how it grew on me! :) Such dear, sweet, precious people there that make me miss it most!
Well, Beth consider yourself {{{{Beth}}}}} hugged!! Actually, I have had the privilege to do that in person a few years ago. :o) Here I live in the Nashville area and didn't get to see you or hug your sweet neck but a friend of mine did and I was so happy for her!!
You make me laugh! Prince. Laughing now as I type that. Thank you for serving us and God has blessed us by giving us this great blog to share life together and more importantly to boast in our Lord!!
If you looked like Prince with your tan and your hair thang going on then I look like Don King when I wake up in the mornings. I'm just sayin'
Love Ya,
Patty
Oops! Sorry, I think I inadvertantly sent like three responses! I'm still learning how to blog!
Oh, my! You are a hoot, Beth, but for some reason, this made me cry. I think it was this part..."The hardest part of the events being a little larger through this season is not getting to hug a whole passel of women and hear their God-stories and tell them eye to eye how much they mean to me. How dearly Jesus loves them. How He WILL redeem every loss. Every ounce of pain. Every season of sin. If we'll let Him." I believe you, Beth. I really do. Consider this to be a written hug back at you.
You're too funny Beth!
sending you a hug a big one God bless love sister in Christ Victoria NC ps my son lives there
Beth,
How fun to read about your whirlwind trip to Nashville. I love your sense of humor and your imagination. You always make me smile.
Just one of your blog girls who wanted to say hello.
Have a great week.
Mary
Beth, you make me lol. My husband wanted to know what I was laughing at and I read the blog entry, would you believe he didn't even laugh! Thanks for making ME smile..GOD BLESS YOU!
Beth...
YOU are just the coolest stinkin' thing I have ever seen! You make me laugh like all get out and you've been known to bring tears multiple times in one session. I blubbered my way through the last session of the taping of Stepping Up in Nashville. What a GOD time!
You are anointed of God and yet so dang ordinary. Just makes me wanna hug you till your head pops off!
Just love ya. Just love ya!!!
I have been a member of your prayer team for many years now (could it possibly be over 10?...how time does fly), but I am really enjoying keeping up with your ministry through this blog. It really helps to keep your needs fresh in my mind to be able to come here and hear what is happening. So thanks for taking the time to write and keep us up to date. Isn't blog world amazing? As for the hugs, I am in full agreement and am a grateful recipient of one of your hugs.. my mom and I got to give/get a hug a few years back at a Callaway Gardens conference that really meant a lot to us both... we had just done the Tabernacle study and were just praising the Lord that He had raised up someone with your passion for the Word and heart for women... filling a need we both saw in our 2 different churches... and still using you mightily!
God bless you,
Christi
You hug is accepted and warmly returned!! Thanks for sharing your moments this weekends. You are a blessing dear Beth!!

One hug taken here. And right back at you tenfold! After reading that post I do believe someone spiked your caramel machiatto with a double shot of expresso. :) I need that kind of energy!
What a blessing you are. I love teaching your studies and my ladies stay after me to follow your schedule. We loved seeing you in person. We all wish we could meet you and hug your neck for all you do for us. We pray for you with each time of
Bible study. Blessings to you!
Beth,
Glad you're back safe and sound! I loved the Amy Grant comment. I don't know if I could handle not having two barrettes that didn't match! I'm sure I need help :o)
Have a wonderful day!
April \o/
Sounds like you had a blast, and I loved that Amy Grant wore two different barrettes in her hair! That is my kind of girl.
Our bible study group just finished our last night of The Psalms of Ascent tonight. This was a most powerful study, life changing, anointing of the Spirit. Women from their early twenties to their late 60's maybe even 70's (I thought it not proper to ask), drank in the Word and ascended to new heights with our King. Your words are a gift to me. With huge buckets of thankfulness to Jesus and to you for listening to Him. With tears on my cheeks I say thank you.
Beth,
My people watching highlight was bumping into you, my dear -- even though I think I made you miss your elevator numerous times -- I'm so sorry!!
I had so much more I wanted to tell you -- like just a huge THANK YOU for sharing your passion for the Word over the past 10 years. I am overwhelmed!!
By the way, my family and I were such The Beverly Hillbillies -- when we ran into you we had been riding the glass elevators up and down because we like the lights of the city.
Then we headed over to the concert!
So blessed to meet you!!
Blessings,
Dori
Beth,
I have been recieving the Word from you for many years now, but tonight..... I laughed so hard I cried! Beth.. You are FUNNY!!! I lost it on the prince comparison! I have been reading your blog for quite a while but have never posted. Seems like a fitting place to jump in as I am a music lover. However one of my greatest pleasures in life was serving as a hostess at a LPM event. Praying with and for the needs of other women was a privelege and a joy beyond words. Blessings dear Beth.
Julie
PS. Jesus is my Everything! : )
I thought you had some juicy info. on people you DID see in the hotel. People watching is a favorite of mine. And I'm sorry you had to brush out your Prince hair. That's exactly the kind of thing I like to see when I am people watching. People with wierd hair. Gotta love it!
Thanks for the written "hug". The reminder of how God redeems/restores "anything" is such an encouragement today. I really enjoyed reading your updates about Nashville. Even though you're not sure who you spoke to - God knows, and I'm sure you were a blessing to many!
Dear Beth, Welcome Back! I can feel your hug through your writings. Consider yourself hugged back :) You have put a smile on my face with all the people you did not see! And your Princely do.
Like every other siesta, I only wish I could meet you in person and tell you how much you mean to me, and how much you have deepened my love for my Savior! We have so much in common, I'm also sure we'd be BFFs! You're going to have so many BFFs in Heaven :)
Love, K in OC
Here's a cyber-space hug coming back at ya!
Love you Beth. Thanks for making me laugh.

Beth - The Lord reminded me this afternoon that tomorrow is the anniversary of your dad's homegoing. Isn't it precious that God remembers all our griefs, even to the point of reminding others to pray for us when their anniversary rolls around!
I'm glad you and Keith had a good time in Nashville and that you got some "up close" time with sisters (I bet some of them were siestas!). I know how precious your hugs are to those who receive them. The picture I had taken with you in Israel in 2000 is still framed and in my bookcase and means the world to me.
God loves you, humble servant, and so do all us women you so selflessly serve.
Woman,
You are so precious... LOL Consider yourself hugged back!
I'm glad you had a good time and sorry you didn't get to see any of those note worthy folks. :o)
We got to see Building 429 this weekend and was it a great rockin' worshipin' time. It was a small venue and we were able to meet the band members afterward. Pretty cool.
Hope you all are settling into you new LP home. I love that front garden looking area. I could just picture sitting in it reading the Word and journaling.
My husband and I took our kids to see the "Expelled" movie today. It was eye opening. Hope you get a chance to see it.
Much love,
Anna in MO
You are such a cool, Christian woman. Thanks for being so real. And so funny. I would have loved to have seen all those people, too!
My husband keeps looking at me and raising his eyebrows every time I break out into hysterical laughter. Finally, he asked me what was so darn funny, and I told him I was reading your blog. He said one of us has “issues” because I shouldn't be laughing to the point of pee-peeing my pants (yes, I just admitted it! Can you still blame pregnancy 18 months later?). So, just wanted to let you know I had to throw you under the bus, just to save an ounce of dignity! :) Sorry!
I do LOVE your sense of humor, so keep it comin'. I'll just make sure I’m near a restroom next time!!!!

oh Mama Beth... I am near Nashville!!! I wish I could have seen you!! I'll bet you saw my worship leader David Moffitt!!! He writes with Travis.. and they are up for the musical that my choir recorded... (brag brag brag as if I had anything to do with it!) I hope you had a wonderful time in Nashville.. my church had a special speaker today (Tony Nolan) and hundreds of people young and REALLY old got saved today!!! Yahoojah!!! it was amazing.... wish you were with us
Thank you, sweet one. My husband is in Romania for two weeks on a mission trip. It's been a long time since he's traveled. I needed that written hug more than you know, sweet one. Isn't it crazy how a precious phrase can bring someone to tears? Glad you had a great time. Love, Karen
I say this all the time, but YOU are SO real!!!
Thx for sharing!
Love, Angela
You are so much fun, and I love you dearly. Big hug from S.A. And boy am I looking forward to seeing you in August and maybe getting a hug in person!
((Beth))
i love you, i love you, i love you...and i love my Jesus more and more b/c of what you do. thank you for being a humble servant. by the way - i think you (and Amanda)are my BFFs just like Amy is yours!!!
YOU my dear are a HOOT. Such adventures, stories to tell. This last week while speaking at a Seniors Luncheon, (the passion of Caleb) the sound man had difficulties with wiring the mic for me. He put an 'over the ear'on me, which was too large, even after crimping it, so he ran and got scotch tape and taped the wire running down the back of my neck - to my neck. I graciously thanked him for NOT reaching for the stapler. Adventures for God!
Thank You Beth for the Hug! God only knows I need one so bad. Just having one of my pity parties that no one loves me days.
I love Amy Grant too went to Her concert when I was sixteen Years old she feels like an older Sister LOL!
Glad you had an awesome time, and Hugs to you from a blog Sister too!
I may have just woken my three year old up from laughing so hard! Thank you for sharing with us! You are too precious, and one of these days, I can't wait to give you a big hug back!
Oh Beth, you are so loved and it's all I can do not to jump up and hug you when you walk by us at the LPL's I've been to...(ALL 2 of them) where I ALWAYS sit on the aisle so I can get a real good look. (I've got 2 LPL's this year too, and I'm sittin' on the aisle!!)
Because you are so much a part of my life, I just can't imagine anyone not going ga ga when YOU show up. I'd give my left eye (it has a bad astigmatism anyway) to meet up with you in a hotel lobby, give you a hug and tell you how much I delight in Jesus because of your ministry to me.

What do you mean Mandisa hates you? She loves you I would think! Hugs back to you.

Thank you dear sweet Beth! I needed that hug if it is only written. My heart is hurting and I needed to be hugged tonight! Thanks for being the one to allow JESUS to use you to wrap me in HIS arms!
I love you!
XOXOXO
(written hugs with a few kisses:)
Back at-cha Siesta!!!
Bethie: Your brain must just be a buzzin' from all that excitement. I could hardly follow a thing you wrote. Why in the world did you come home? Obviously there was more excitement to be had! (Did the Prince hair throw your self-esteem all off?????)
Regardless, I'm glad you're home (and by home, I mean Siestaville) and thank you for the hug! Consider yourself squeezed right back.
I'm so hugging you back right now!!!
((((((((()))))))))
I think that's how you do it in blog-land right? Right!

Beth--Thanks for the rundown on your visit to GMA! I went several years ago (as a songwriter) and got to meet Steven Curtis Champman on one elevator trip & Rebecca St. James and her dad on another elevator ride. I also took a class hosted by Bill Gaither. Contemprary Christian music has experienced explosive growth (PTL!) in the past 10 years and this event is much more exciting than it used to be. Glad you got to be a part of it!
Oh Beth! You are so amazing. You have the faith to move mountains, and we so often forget you are a beautiful "one of us" hanging out in the real world. I giggled like a thirteen year old. "I wanted them to like me!" You dear sweet woman, I want to thank you for being a beacon of God's light, a flight into His grace and truth to keep our heads out of the clouds ALL the time. You have brought the words of Christ to me more than ANYONE ever had.
I will NEVER forget my first study with you (Believing God) where you spoke of your mentor (a coach, I believe?) that made the Word walk and talk to you. YOU did that for me, and my life will never be the same.
My Bible is no longer just an accessory I take along to church. It is worn! The pages are coming apart! There are so many words in the margins that no one except me (and the only on a good day) can understand it.
Thank you, from my heart and soul for teaching me through that study - and others where I've felt like you were in the room with us - that the word IS alive, it is jumping off the page saying "LISTEN! EAT IT UP! EAT OF THE FATNESS OF THE WORD OF GOD!"
You rock, and while I'm 33, I promise to be your friend, good hair day and bad.

Oh my goodness! I'm the first to comment tonight! You made me laugh, Beth - but couldn't laugh out loud as my man was already snoring and didn't want to wake him from slumber.
Thanks for the very funny comments about all those gospel singers that you didn't see! Priceless! It is so fun to know that you are so down to earth and we love you!
Marilyn in Ft Worth TEXAS!
Just think how endeared the audience would have been if you had kept the Prince hair AND you had put in two mismatched barrettes.
"That Beth Moore, bless her heart. I just love how she keeps it real. We should really tell her so, as soon as we get back from Starbucks."
If that isn't some good people watchin', I don't know what is! What fun!
I will forever feel a sense of loss that no one got to see your hair in its Prince formation.
Just found your blog. So refreshing! Your comment about Nichole C. Mullen made me laugh. That girl has some muscle. I'm sure your muscles match hers, but you dont' wear tank tops when you speak so it's kind of hard to tell.
In Christ's Arms,
Joleen
I would have wanted to see alot of the same people. Everytime I'm in that neck of the woods, I look in cars and wonder around stores and restaurants looking for them. My hubby teases me, but a girl can hope.
Consider one written back. You should've driven an hour north and hung out at Starbucks in KY with me, Mrs. Beth!! :) Prince hair would have been welcomed....
I really have a BIG SMILE on my face after reading this BLOG...I was a little blah- cause I thought I was selling my house today and it didn't go through- the buyer just doesn't see the value in the many prayers that this house has endured. I know it's blessed-(Am I the only one that feels this way?) I guess I just needed a pick me up... a smile- a laugh... this blog did it! Thanks! (((hug)))
Beth, this post just rocked my night as I sit here trying to cobble together a paper for tomorrow. I'm sorry you missed out on seeing those fabulous people in Nashville, but rest assured, you and I and all the siestas will get to knock on their doors to no end when we get Home. And don't think you won't have a line down the street expecting that hug in Resurrection-body-person for you when we get there, either!
Our pastor mentioned Ray Boltz's old song "Thank You" in his sermon today -- okay, bless his heart, he read it all the way through. (I thought briefly about standing up and helping him melodically through it, but there's my husband's reputation to think of.) It makes me think of you, now, and all the lives you're touching even if you can't pat their shoulders or hug their necks. Someday they'll come find you, up on those glorious streets of Heaven. Thank You for doing what you do and doing it the way you do. You're the holy equivalent of a good cup of caffeine to this co-laborer. :)
P.S. I ran into sweet little Lily Kate and her even more sweet mama tonight at church. I told them that I had bumped into you and LK's eyes got big as golf balls and she said, "Beth? Beth Moore?? You know I had lunch with her today!"
It was precious...almost like a little Siesta!

Thanks Beth. I'm hugging you back right now!

What a great blog post. :) Did you know I love all the same people you do? LOL! I love, love Nicole C. Mullin..... and my Mandi (my daughter) loves her more. Third Day ... oh I heard them this year at the Youth Evangelism Conference here in Georgia. My children have grown up to Third Day.... and my littles are still growing up to them! LOL
YOU know I really believe we are friends. I honestly believe we could sit down and relax and chat. :) Most think I am nuts.... but I believe that. My younger daughter told me a couple weeks ago "mama, when you talk about Beth Moore you talk like you guys are friends" LOL~
I watched you on Life Today... the first time (I taped it on my dvr)... didn't know you came on there. :)
I am sure I am NOT the first one to make a comment... silly me I thought I was a couple blog posts back~ but then they have to be review.
How is Sunny doing? So thankful he is home :) I am the one who told you the story of our Daisy getting lost. :)
Beth, you inspire me. I am the mother of 6. I am so blessed. Through the years and your bible studies ~ God has walked right along with me and sometimes carrying me. My husband dances with the bottle more than me. :( He has for the last 8 yrs. But I see the Lord continue to walk with me and I see my children seeking HIS face....
thanks for taking the time to share. I am thinking of leading a group of Ladies in your bible study "Stepping Up" this coming summer.
Today on the way to church I was listening to Casting Crowns cd... and I was listening to Praise Him in the Storm" I love the words...
"I lift my eyes unto the hills... where does my help come from... my help comes from the Lord maker of heaven & earth" Ps. 121:1-3
I just turn it up and tell the children to sing with me!
I know it sounds silly but...
I love you, Beth.

If I ever, in this earthly realm, find myself sitting anywhere near Amy Grant, I will scream.
I felt led to share that tonight.
Hallelujah.
Amy may not know you are BFF, but she certainly knows you! A couple of years ago, when she had her "Three Wishes" TV show, she went to visit a young girl who was seriously ill. She was wearing her blue bracelet and explained why she had it on to the young girl. I felt such a kinship! I grew up with Amy's music, too, and now I am "growing up" with your Bible studies. I've told my husband more than a few times that in heaven I'm going to have lunch with Beth and Amy! Ha! What a delight that will be!
Consider a hug coming back atcha (is that one word? I am so not cool not to know). Also, I know you've been Busy, Busy Beth - what with the Sunny trauma (please tell all of us that a leash or a fence or a GPS fitted collar or something is in that canine's future. I can't go through another round of Sunny MIA - it was too much stress) (Just Joking), then San Diego, then the MOVE, then Nashville -- but, if you do get a few free minutes the next couple days, could you give us a tidbit of how the Esther intro/exits (or whatever they're called) went in DC?
Thanks! Have a blessed week all you Siestas out there in Siestaville,
Warm in Alaska.
Wow, you CRACK ME UP! My favorite band happens to be from my hometown so somehow I think that deserves a free concert or something...I haven't gotten a call yet. Then again I do live overseas now...
Well can I tell you my 14 year old daughter and I feel very hugged, and we send one back to you Beth. Our weekend has been just crazy busy and your blog tonight was so hilarious we are still laughing over it... You must be in a really awesome mood because it is beaming in your writing tonight. Thanks for the great rendition of who you did NOT get to meet.
God is great and great is His faithfulness He really knows how to keep us humble.
Have a blessed week.
Mary and Megan
Agh! You had me at Prince! (I am from MN) Being a former obsessed Prince fan , I was so happy to hear of your happy little hair-do. Important question, though: would you have had the outfit and heels to match the "do"? :o) Really, though, I hope Jesus captures his heart and saves him. Can you imagine the praise music he'd bust out with?
Well, it must have been meant for me since no body in their right mind would be up this time of NIGHT! And I cannot tell you HOW MUCH i needed it this night, this moment. Tears still stinging in my eyes, thinking how blessed I am to be hugged right through a computer screen - and knowing it was nothing but God. Girls isn't He just wonderful?! Bless you Beth and thank you for being so sensitive to what God has called you to do.
Love you so, Alisa in Cheraw, SC
Awwwwww, thanks Beth! this was such a fun read. Many hugs to you. :0)
I love the part you wrote,
"Most of the artists I did see were like twelve years old but I liked them. I liked them a lot. I wanted to be their friend. I liked their hair. And I wanted them to like me. But I don't think they did. I think it was my hair. "
I love that:)
Yea, I almost met Smitty once, my friends were djs at Night of Joy, and I was with them all night, and then I was abandoned so they could go introduce him on stage;
Nicole C. Mullen I asked her where she got the idea for " redeemer" and she told me it came to her reading Job.
Would meeting the Duchess of York in a local Booksamillion count too; yea, I know random? LOL.
Speaking of hair though, I love Sheila Walsh's, she always has such a fab flip thing going on, its very hip:)
Be Blessed:)

it is fun to know we were breathing the same city air for a bit! i hope you got to enjoy some of our beautiful weather today!
i've learned that thankfully most of the artist here are just like you described ms. amy being so humble and approachable. the Lord blessed me with a job as a nanny for one of the Avalon girls and she is THE sweetest, most wonderful friend in the world. (not to mention her vocal chords can blow something mighty.)
haha i was watching a nicole mullen video on tv with a guy friend the other day and he said, "this video scares me...well...maybe just she scares me...well...ok, her biceps scare me." i was rolling...so give yourself a pat on the back ms. personal trainer ;)
Please, please. The next time you have Prince hair, at least take a picture for us before you fix it for Keith.
Cause I loved me some Prince back in the day and seeing your face in the place of his would, in some strange way, redeem for me all the times I sang about partying like it was 1999 :)
Beth, you crack me up! Your hair story was hilarious!! I can so relate to seeing Prince in the mirror...my hair also has a mind of it's own! I just never had identified that hair I saw in the mirror!! LOL
Thanks for your words of encouragement and reminder of how much we are loved by the One and ONLY! Praising Him for you and your ministry!
This post was so funny! Thank you for the hug!
I laughed for 5 minutes straight. Man I wish I was (were?) cool like you...
Awww! Hugs back to ya our sweet Beth! I love reading your and Amandas blogs because I have no doubt that ya'll truly do treasure each siesta and miesta here.
I have to tell ya I laughed so hard reading about your Prince hair and about all those you did not get to see during your whirlwind trip. I NEEDED a laugh today. As I told my Step-mom about my day she laughed but maybe tomorrow I will find it funny. Today I am just not finding the humor in my grocery shopping trip that included my toddler son throwing food out of the cart as we walked down every aisle, at one point he had particularly great aim and nailed a gentleman in the back with a bag of cookies. I paid for an empty bag of crackers because I was out of ideas and I thought surely toddlers find EATING crackers much more enjoyable than practicing for being a professional baseball player, or whatever sport can benefit from a toddler throwing food half way down an aisle in the grocery store. I was wrong- he preferred to eat a few, drop a few, toss a few.
You are such a hoot, Beth. I love you so much! And to have hair like prince, formally known as - that is hilarious. I know you ministered to all you met and I consider myself hugged tonight. Thank you.
Beth
I lived in Houston all my life. Now I live in the North Weat (Portland) They didn t know about you until a few years ago.(I saw you in Seattle) I go to a Church of Christ and now we are Breaking Free...

frome the N.W. They don t really care about there
hair!! They love the land and Trees...I think that is nice for them.....TKS so Much ....We are doing Fruits of the Sprit next....Some times my daughter and I say "I need to use my Fruits....."
Hi Girls, I'm a newbie. I heard Beth speak last weekend here in San Diego and that was the first time I heard about the blog. I have spent several hours now catching up on what I've been missing! Thank you Beth for opening your heart to us here in this format and for the "hug" today. It must be difficult not to get to connect with the women at your conferences, but I am grateful for this avenue of connection. I look forward to getting to know all of you better! Love, Rebekah
(((Beth))),
Consider yourself hugged back.
We - a group of misso ladies - just finished Living Beyond Yourself. Just wanted to say thank you - I really appreciated the study and it has been a great way for God to speak to me the past few months. Enjoyed and needed all of the laughs, too. :-)
Wish we had a Starbucks here... friend of mine photoshopped the sign onto a little store for a photo on her blog (date was April 1) ...I almost believed it... well... maybe that was just because I really wanted to. Oh well - enjoy one for all of us who still have to wait a few more years...
Thanks again.
Sweet Beth, What a whirlwind! I think I just dreamed it too. HA! Your hair looking like Prince -what a hoot! BTW-Thanks for all the written hugs and consider your self blogger-hugged back from moi! You are the most precious thing (thang) ever.
Much love,
Jax in AK
Hey Beth.. this post was hysterical. It made me laugh alot. Can I just tell you I love you hair :-) I thoght of you today and the last time you posted about the first time coloring hair girl at the beauty shop that you met (have you ever really wondered why exactly do they call it a beauty SHOP? ) I went to the beaty shop today here in nepal. It's so exciting to go. We don't shower much because we don't have much money.... so getting my hair washed there is like going to glory. If I close my eyes I can be pretty sure I see Jesus standing besides me as my hair gets clean probablly for the first time in weeks. Love it! And love you!
Hug received. And right back at 'cha! :D
Heaven's coming......one day we'll be able to share our God stories & hug for real for as long as we want.
HAPPY HALLELUJAH!!! :D
Love you!
OH BETH! thank you for the hug!!!! I 've been sick with worry and depression as of late, but your blog entry lifted me up! and thank you also for remembering your blog girls!!!
mariacristina
Yay, thanks for remembering us! :) Beth, wasn't your birthday this past week? Happy (belated) birthday!! I hope it was wonderful! Consider yourself hugged as well. :D
And, as I'm sure you will hear a million times over in these comments, consider one written here as well!
Your writing style is just so fun. It sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. Of all the Christian singers, I personally would like to meet Mercy Me. They are a great group and so far appear to take their ministry very seriously. A hug back atcha!
Thank you Beth you made me smile, inside and out...and consider yourself hugged right back
And here's one written back to you!
Have a blessed week!
Kelli
How much fun! Thank you for sharing it with us! I bet you and Keith has a blast together.

That sounds like one fun trip! I would have just been standing there with my mouth on the floor the whole time! Some of the artists have songs that I have played over and over and over again during tough stuff...
And "Prince" hair...THAT is blog worthy...a picture would have iced that bloggity cake!! That cracked me up...
blessings,
stephanie
bethI think you have great hair !! Mine on the other hand... I guess we are never satisfied with what we have.
I LOVE your blog! Thank you for sharing your Nashville experience with us--it was a blast! :-) And thanks for the "hug." Right back atcha!
Beth:
Thanks for the hug. Right back at ya!
So glad you decided against the "prince hair". "Beth" hair is so much more you. Glad you had such a fun whirlwind trip.
Siesta Marita
Beth...
I spent my day yesterday with the saints of God at Little River UMC near Myrtle Beach, SC. I preached the three morning services and am so overwhelmed with my feelings that, even now, I'm typing through my tears. My father is a preacher. My husband is a preacher, and yesterday, I took the pulpit in a church for the first time and was blown away by the provision of God's grace that allowed me such a privilege.
I will not soon recover from my time with God's saints in Little River. I don't think that I am supposed to...
What wondrous love is? It's a love that's mine...and yours...and made available to all of us as daughters of the King. Be blessed, Beth. I love you!
peace~elaine
Glad you had a nice trip. Someitmes those fast trips that you dont' think you got anything out of really have the most purpose you will later find.
May I pleae ask for a special prayer request. I teach a 5th grade S.S. class and have for years. I dearly love it. This year this class is out of control and yesterday as we were studying The Lord's Supper and abut animal sacrifices in the OT my boys started "shooting guns".
That was the last straw. I teach by myself, by choice, and always have. But this class is out of control and this coming will be my last Sunday unless God brings a man, preferably a father, into this class.
Siesta's I need your prayers. Thank You!
Girl, you are so funny! Thanks for telling us about your quick trip to Nashville and back. I needed that first thing on a Monday morning. I need to take lessons in having fun I guess. My youngest son once told me that I know how to have fun less than anyone he's ever known! Isn't that sad?? And I've never let him live down saying that either! ha ha Of couse, I do know how to have fun but it's usually quiet fun. ha Anyway......so good to hear from you again.
God bless you....
Marilyn in MS
Here's a big written hug right back at you!
Sorry you didn't get to rub elbows with any celeb friends.
Last time I was in Nashville I just saw this chick Priscella and a crazy women named Beth. :)
(Both are stars in my book!) Wish Kay hadn't had a broken bone. I love her too!
Can't wait for Atlanta in June!
Much love!
Kristi B.
Consider yourself hugged!
((((((((((-----))))))))))
Here's a hug right back atcha, dear Beth!
So glad I didn't have my coffee up to my lips with the whole "Prince" comment, I'd of spewed for sure!
Just the idea of a Mystic Tan level three made me chuckle. You are too fun.
You just keep getting out there and hugging necks. Hopefully someday it will be mine, and I will definitely share my popcorn willingly. Being mauled by a siesta is more like a "fiesta" of praise.
And I send you a GREAT BIG HUG back!!!! I love you dearly. This group of women have something that others just don't understand. It is only because of Christ that we can all be BFF, but have never met!
Have a great week!!!!
Believing God for Big things!!!

that was wonderful, I laughed so hard. We were just talking about people you don't think are real being real people, like Amy Grants barretts! As we were talking (at bible study) I looked down and my socks didn't match. At least I cleared out any misperceptions about my being more together than other people!
Hi Beth, Thanks for hugging all those willing necks. I just finished Week 8 of Daniel, with a great bunch of ladies in Nairobi Kenya. Studying Daniel in a developing country is still relevant, our babylons are everywhere. I answer every question, love the Word, and crave more of Jesus. He's working miracles in our lives.
Beth, So glad to hear that you got to do some hugging. I have been hugging on a close friend whose husband left her last week. It is painful and one of the hardest things I have walked with someone through (can you imagine how she feels- or her two children). Anyway, I have been pondering running for the hills and quitting this SS teaching thing, because what do I know about helping somebody in that kind of pain. But in my Blackaby study (Henry is so insightful) in quiet time today, I remembered- oh, I do not run because I am a servant of Christ. Any advice from my Siestas?
Beth soooo! Good to hear from you. Your always encouraging and fun to read.I always feel better after "we talk". Praying for you.
Consider yourself hugged back, dear Beth. One of the longings of my soul is to hug you in person. You mean the world to me and to so many. Thanks for sharing today. What a fun blessing!
Mandy
A big HUG right back to you...love you so much...one of your BFF in TN...
Prince hair!! I just love it! To help out with seeing people I saw Mandisa on Saturday at the E-Women Conference, she said hi to you and I pass on a cyber hug from her... just kidding, but I'm sure she would have if I had run into her and I had mentioned your name and that we were like Siestas from way back! Happy, blessed Monday to you!
Girlfriend, you're on a roll! Too funny. Glad you had fun and are back home safe and sound!
Hugs back,
Lisa
Hi Beth! I was in Nashville on Sunday, although I was taking my Dad back to the airport and was not attending the GMA events. If I had known you were there, I would have brought you a giganti-normous bag of popcorn and a grande non-fat latte and I would definitely have given you a hug!
Love,
Adrienne
Tears streaming and laughter roaring, Girlfriend.....you so touch this ole heart of mine!
Siesta, I love you for that.
I had one of the most awesome comments a few weeks back. Hanging with my Friday Friends, as we were getting a good foot soaking sharing about something I had read off of the LPM Blog. When Trista says, oh yeah, thats her best friend (meaning you) and Joni piped up, if Beth ever met her they would be best friends. WOW....that had to go in my journal. Because you are for real, and it made me realize that they see me as being real also.
Love ya!!!!
Yolanda
Goodmorning Beth, I know you are a busy lady. I bet you had the most fun. And visiting with people talking about God is the best thing in the world to do. Glad you are back home. We've missed you. Amanda has been awesome as well. Take care. Have an awesome blessed day. Love ya, Mary Anne
Oh Bethie!!! How is it tat you can always manage to make me giggle and/or laugh out (really!) loud through a post and then get me crying at the end?!?!?! THIS is why you are my (pretend) BFF!!!
And, just so ya know, if it takes popcorn to get "mauled" by my PBFF Beth Moore, I will ALWAYS have popcorn from here on out!
I love ya much!
Consider yourself hugged back!

Beth,
Thanks for the reminder of God's limitless redemption. Thanks for the hug. Thanks for being my friend. Thanks for showing me how love Jesus and live in victory.
This moment recieve a hug from me.
I am so glad God never quits giving to us and being for us exceedingly above all we deserve, ask or think.

Even though it was short and sweet, it still sounds like fun. I got to hug your neck once at La Madeline and tell you how much your teaching has meant to me. Of course, I was blubbering like a baby so you probably couldn't understand anything I said. I guess I just wrote a hug to you today too!
Blessings,
Dana
A CYBER-HUG to YOU too!!
Good mornin sunshine! thanks for the giggle. i was up early this AM. 4:30AM. a tone kept beeping on my husbands phone. glad i got up tho- to see it snowing. yes, snowing for the past hr1/2-mid april! enjoy your day!

I've been here enough to know when I click on "O Comments" to leave my comment that actually means I'm like the 400th person to leave a comment, they just haven't been posted yet. :)
I love that you think about us while you're on the road. If you had to sit down with us in a room and hug on us I think there would be just so many of us any amount of hair spray you'd use couldn't hold up to all of us. After hours of hugging on Siestas, your hair would be flat, but your heart huge after letting us get a hold of you. You really mean so much to us Miss Beth-your whole family does. The teachings God lays on your heart are really heart & life changing.
Love you much,
Lelia
What a quick trip. Glad Keith travelled with you. You should have taken a pic of the Prince Hair. My hair is hug today, must be because it knows I am back in TX after a ministry trip to Lake Charles.
God's blessings to you and your staff today. Tell Amanda, I prayed for her to find her aTm ring. Giggem!
Beth, you are sooo much fun!!! Thanks so much for making me laugh on this Monday morning! It makes me stand and sometimes hold my side in awe to know that HE laughs...a great big belly laugh with tears... right along with us! Thanks so much for spreading His love and laughter!
In His grip,
kristi
Beth! You are hilarious girl! My man, my son, and I just moved from Nashville back to our home state of Oklahoma not more than 4 months ago - I miss it so, but I love it here! Anywho, do you know that throughout the entire 5 years we resided in Music City I never saw one danged celebrity that I didn't PAY to see?!
My husband says I had a curse; he would see 'famous people' all the time. Guess I wasn't paying attention. I saw you twice though - one in Knoxville for Living Proof and then in Nashville for Deeper Still. I still can't thank ya'll enough for coming to the satellite center! And we got Mandisa too! I'm still reeling.
Anywho, just had to say that I feel your pain a bit. Glad you had a good - albeit a short - trip!
God Bless!
Beth! You are a whole can of nuts! Thanks for making me laugh this Monday morning! Don't you LOVE a God who laughs out loud a big belly laugh...with tears, no doubt....with us?!!! I love Him! And I love you...thank you for spreading His love and laughter! God bless you today! kayte
Thanks so much for the HUG! I want to give you one back! You are too much fun! Prince has nothing on your hair!
Thanks Beth for the laughs, the hug and most of all for being so real and available to us. I am again posting anonymous because I can not figure out how to find my google password.
Carol
If it's any consolation, I didn't get to meet any of those folks yesterday either. ;)
Beth,
Well, consider yourself hugged right back! Your ministry is such a tremendous blessing to SO many people, and so is this blog! Thank you for thinking of us!
YOU ARE SO FUNNY!!! Whoa, I needed that laugh today! Ha,Ha...You're the best!
Thank you, mama Beth! So good to hear about your sweet quick trip and then to feast on a brief word at the end. I might not have had the self-control to stay seated seeing all those neat people!
Well, Beth and daughters...I do check your blog fairly regularly but don't always post a comment. Not sure how you become a siesta, but I'd like to be one...so I guess I'll appoint myself as one if that's ok with ya'll? :) I enjoy your posts. This one was particularly funny. Thanks for making me laugh at work today. It's a quiet day at the church office, all of our ministers are on a staff retreat for a couple of days. Anyway...thanks for writing and loving and praying and for being the amazing women you all are. PS- Being a new mom (6 mos.) I enjoy your insights of being a mom and grandma!
love from Waco, TX....EJ
Beth,
You are officially my BFF and we have never been met, I did sit three rows back from you in San Diego but I don't think you saw me otherwise you surely would have greeted me with our friendship being so great and all!!! Ah, you just make me laugh...You are so funny in that mind of yours girl and its right up my ally in thinking. You have taught me to 'live it out' and be me (which of course thinks the same weird thoughts as you)Thank you, thank you for being 'Living Proof' in this world today that we, the living stones (each individual as we are) are all being fitted together, one by one!
This HUGS for you:)
you r loved!
lynda m.
Hugs to you too Boo Boo!
Virtual hugs to all the Siestas on this glorious Monday morning. Sounds like a fabulous whirlwind you got to fly in and out of....thanks for sharing. Happy week to you all! J
Consider this a hug back!!! Your story made me laugh and cry. Thanks for loving us and thanks for loving Jesus and reflecting His love so well. In Jesus'Love Kathy Knoblock
That was a great hug, Beth. You are such a blessing and this was a great post to put a smile on my face this morning. Thankful you had a safe, be it short, trip. We love you.
You make me laugh so very hard!!! At least I know when I do meet you in person and I MAUL YOU and I remind YOU that YOU ARE MY BFF that you'll laugh at me. Then look me in the eyes and we get to HUG EACH OTHER.
Our church is so excited about the Simulcast! Thank you again for loving Jesus and for loving us!
Tracy L. in Jacksonville, NC
You always have the coolest blogs!! LOL that you liked the hair of the ones who were "twelve yr olds" Aaand you always have cool hair.
♥ you!
I'm cracking up...Prince!
And I am sure Amy knows y'all are BFF. And so....uhmm....when you are Nicole's personal trainer, does she select the work out music, or do you? :) Heeehee (grin)
To think we were in Nashville at the same time and could have met for dinner. Ha Ha. Thank you for the hug and the recap of your week-end. Thank you for the ministry. Why is it we women just love a good story with lots of laughter.
Thanks, Beth for sharing with us. I am so blessed by your blogs...and Amanda's, Melissa...and now Curtis. Cool!
You brought me back to where I need to be...sharing with the people. Though my church is small I tend to teach the SS lesson, find my mom and make sure she gets over to the sanctuary...try to run around and greet visitors...come back, sit with my mom and catch my breath. Then, when the service is over my mom is tired and ready to go home so we work to get her to the car and home. I feel like it's one big blurr. I need to remember those around me. Pray for them and with them. Thanks for the reminder...and the funny blog about your trip...you are a trip!

Dear Beth,
So nice to hear from you. We missed you so it's nice to know you think of us between blogs. Hearing about Bible study ladies you encounter I've often thought about what I would say if we had a chance to meet. Probably something really silly but underneath I'd be saying THANK YOU. Thank you for letting God use you and being such a testimony that He is approachable and knowable in a thrilling way. I fell in love with God's word years ago through Precept but your studies have been just what I need at this season of life. So many many times when I'm desperate to know God is aware of my situation I receive a word from Him while doing a study or reading one of your books. I just thank Him over and over for you.
May He bless you with just what you need this day.
Love,
You made me smile on a Monday morning back at work as I read about your trip to Nashville! Just like you and Amy Grant, I tell my friends that you and I are BFF, since I read your blog all the time and feel like I know you so well! YOu bless my life, friend!
My hubby was sad to not get to go this year to GMA--always comes back with great stories of awesome live music. Glad you had a fun albeit short trip to Music City.
Beth,
I just want you to know that I grew up listening to Amy's music too. :) I love her authenticity just like I love yours. We are all BFFs in our hearts in the Lord.
Thanks, Beth, for the written hug. Now I have one for you and eveyone who reads this comment. I pray that all of you may be strengthened with might through His Spirit in your inner beings, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Blessings to all of you,
Patti
PS: I know my Redeemer lives and is even now interceding at the right hand of the Father.
Beth,
Okay so you don't have to publish this to the site but I have to tell you this! Your post was hilarious as usual. My youth pastor growing up was actually Mark Hall, from Casting Crowns and we still talk about once a week. Last time they were in Houston for a concert my husband and I took them to the Galleria because he is a shopper to the T! He and my husband actually got kicked out of Armani because he had ice cream! the man that worked there was like (in a French accent) , "Exuuuussse me sir, pleas be bery careful wit your ice cream." To which Mark replied, "Do I look like I have ever missed a lick?" Hilarious! Anyway, I told him that everytime I come to the Galleria I secretly hope I see you at Starbucks or at a store so I can hug your neck, even though I see you on Tuesday nights it would be different to see you and thank you! Anyway, he was like yeah man next time we come to Houston we need to call her and set up a lunch!
So just know that there is VERY much love to you from Casting Crowns and he would have loved to walk into you in the hotel!!!!
Much love and I hope to get to be a part of the Bible Study in September if I am a "chosen" one! ;)
Stephanie Arnett
And consider it received, with joy! We were at Women of Joy this weekend and girl, did we receive a Word! THE Word of Life! Travis led us in worship with our Savior and Priscilla, Kay, Liz and Karen brought us the truth straight from His word! And Beth, thank you for being a woman of the word who wants to know her Lord all the more. You provide the diving board for us to jump deep into His Truth. It sounds like you and Keith had a blast and I imagine he was sitting on the edge of his seat right in the front row, but God wanted you to have an audience of one-Himself!
Welcome home, Beth! Consider yourself hugged!
A God thing happened a this past weekend and really about two weeks ago-and I have to quickly share:)
I was planning on going to a broadcast of the Simulcast in August, and I had called a woman who had gone with a group of us ladies to Deeper Still last year to see if she would be interested too, and she told me that she had in fact bought some tickets to the actual event in KY. She said that I might be able to go with her instead:):)
I wasn't sure if it would work out, but she told me she has enough left over tickets that I am able to go! Of course, my precious sister-in-law that went to Deeper Still gets to go too! Double blessing:):)
Anyway, long story, but it goes without saying, God provides, and He has been and is going to use you, Beth and LPM, in women's and now men's (Curtis:) lives to His glory for the rest of your lives. I have no doubt about that!
See ya in August!:)
Your little sister in CHRIST,
katiegfromtennessee
Dear Beth,
You don't know how I needed that hug today...
I, too, wish this season would allow us a way to sit down eye to eye and share how Jesus saves but alas it is not to be.
Heaven will be all the sweeter when we get to meet there.
blessings,
Sister Lynn
i live in nashville. your prince hair would have fit RIGHT in. :)
Beth,
I love the way that you are just Beth... I am a people watcher, I work in a Lifeway and I love to watch people and then I love to approch them and reach out to them... I enjoy getting to know people and I enjoy sharing what God has done for me and my family... To me it is a joy to ask someone if I can pray for them, and the Holy Spirt flows through me to help them... I hope that someday I will be at one of your confrences, when you were in salt lake in 2006, I was going to be there to work., but God was calling me to Kentucky, and i missed it, but my daughter was working for Lifeway at the time and she was there. And now I have tickets for when you are here in Aug. and my house is up for sell and I want to be back in Utah by June, i'm just praying that God wants me back there by then... So I am sure there will be a time that I get to see you... I hope you have a great day...

Beth, you crack me up. Thanks for making me laugh and for constantly pointing me to Jesus! I love you and I love Him more because of you.
Oh Ms. Beth. I do love the way you write. You have put a wonderful smile on my face this Monday morning! May God continue to bless you and your family! Please pray for us as our last day in our office is April 30 and we all need jobs. God will provide...I am sure! EM
Beth.
I love you. You are hilarious!
Thanks to Amanda, and all of you who work this blog! I look forward to hearing what you all have to say, and can be pretty sure I will be laughing before it is over. :o)
But the main reason I am writing is to let you know I just had a fresh revelation. My 20 year old daughter has been asking, "Mom, where did you get the word 'dang?'" It has been flying out of my mouth quite regularly when I am saying something goofy. Well, while reading this post, I saw you said "dang." So, I have decided, it is your fault. :o)
Okay, I know this was random. Just wanted you to know you taught me a word. :o)You are also teaching me God's Word, so don't feel too bad for teaching me an almost cuss word. :o)
Thanking God for you and your transparency. I love how you seem to be very real and touchable, much like Jesus would be if He were still walking the earth.
I love you so dang much! :o)
I needed a hug today! My 23 year old baby girl just drove off to start a new job in a new city, and the priviledge of having spent the weekend with my parents reminded me of how old they are getting. Not so sure I'm going to enjoy this next phase of life, but guaranteed that God will give the grace I need when I need it!
Smiling.
Just wanted to send a hug back.
Love & prayers,
Joy
Beth, You are too precious for words. Thanks for the hug. Here's one back ((((beth))). I love you sister! And for the record, although I am 33 and not 12, I love your hair just the way it is. :-)
This is why this is my favorite blog site ~ a chance to sit down with my BFF and catch up on her busy life! I love how you make each of us feel like we we're your favorite, and how it feels like I would be instant friends with any and all of my siestas. Only God can do that! Thanks Beth & Amanda (and now Curt too!) for making us into a wonderfully ditzy family.
On another note, I don't want to bring a sad note to your day, but I wouldn't be a girlfriend without letting you know I'm saying extra prayers for you today on the anniversary of your Dad's home-going. May all of your wonderful memories of him bring you sweet joy today.
Much love & hugs,
Linda
I needed the written hug because I sure am feeling a ton like Lot's wife. I falling into the trap and looking back! Will I ever be victorious in my life with Christ? I feel like I am forcing this life to fit just like I am forcing last years size 4 capri's to fit into this years size 6 body! Good gravy I just want to get it right!
That was such fun to read! Thanks!
I felt like that in the lobby of my hotel at Deeper Still in Nashville. I kept looking for the speakers of that event, but they must have whisked themselves away quickly so as to not have been mauled by the very rowdy women who invaded that town that weekend! :)
I love it when you write out exactly how feel...makes me feel like I was there.
Hugs right back to you,
Paige
Thanks for the hug.
Hugs and much love to all at LPM
Cindy
Beth, I love it when you are just plain FUNNY!! Thanks for the laugh.. I think God likes to hear us laugh.
I'm in my second week of Believing God.. and I am soooo believing He is going to change my mind about some things!
HUGS to you!

Beth, This is a "just in cse you didn't know" thing for you. Tickets are still selling - so go to Kirk's site and go see him. I know you will love it. He will be in Fort Worth in May on the fouth. If you get to go - let us know and also - "just in case you didn't know" on the site I went to it has a place ro "ONLINE ATTENDEES" I am guessing there is a cost to that as well, but it is a good option for those of us who might not can travel that far to see him. Anyway, just in case! Well below is the information. Love you, Vicki

Beth,
Thanks for posting. You crack me up. I love that you posted about the people that you didn't get to see. Sorry you didn't get enough hugs, if I had been there I would have given you one.
Thanks for the humorous start to our Monday morning, Beth :) Sending a hug back to you!
How dearly Jesus loves them. How He WILL redeem every loss. Every ounce of pain. Every season of sin. If we'll let Him.
Beth,
Thank you for this. I needed to hear this. Because I've not been letting Him. I'm not entirely sure how to let go of it myself.
Andi
PS: You write with such joy and it's so evident in your tone. Thank you for that too. I need the reminder that joy is here too, I just need to look for it. I don't know if you realize how much you bless me.
I did need a hug today-and not one of the wimpy kinds, where someone gives you a gentle pat on the back. What's the point of that?
You are just too funny! I bet you keep Keith cracking up all the time. Thanks for sharing with us!
We Love you too Beth!
FUN!!! I love you Beth! Ill see you in CO Springs soon!
HahaHAAAA! Needed this chuckle!!
Love you so- Big hug!
I suppose "Stomp" on the elevator is better than no "Stomp" at all. My first stomp experience was the last day of our Houston "Breaking Free," and it was just the coolest thing...both times. :)
Also thought of you this morning as I was driving to work. KSBJ played a version of "God Bless the Broken Road" this morning. Not sure whether this particular version of the song just came out or not, but it was the first time I've heard it on KSBJ. I sqealed out loud in my car when it came on because it was so fun to hear the song and think back on your story and when you had Roger sing it for all the Houston girls!
God ROCKS - and I'm glad you party on with him!
Peace,
Kim in Apex, NC
Oh Beth, it was such an honor and a pleasure to meet you yesterday. I emailed the picture Travis took of us to my husband from the parking garage! Yep... he said we're both cute! And then I blogged about it when I got home, and my mom just called to see if I had come down from the clouds yet. Your teaching blessed me so much.
Beth,
I have been reading for quite some time and I have always thought about posting. I just want to send a hug to you and tell you how much you and your ministry means to me. God has been changing my life because of Tuesday night bible studies. Especially with Breaking Free. I can tell you with so much joy and excitement that I love my Jesus so much more today, than yesterday because of the truth of the Word that you have brought on Tuesday nights. I know you hear this all the time but when you are tired and empty, please remember me, and know how grateful I am for your faithfulness and vulernabilty.
Love in Christ,
Candy Smith
Oh Beth!
Hug received and here's one right back a'cha. You have no idea how much you've blessed my life! You are such a blast!
Love ya,
Anne in MO
I saw a picture of you and Sue Smith today on her blog. She had such wonderful things to say about you! Sounds like you both had a wonderful time!
Beth: Thank you for the Cyber-Hug, and thanks for patting my arm on your way out of the arena after the Friday night session at the Jacksonville LPL. That was precious to me. I know it was you because I looked up just as you were passing by and for some reason, you chose to just pat my arm - I needed it and I thank ya.
I loved your post on who you didn't see - clever indeed - you are hilarious and weave in some hair story or another...which is also classic Beth.
Looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta, GA at Deeper Still.

Oh how I would have loved to have been there! I just love praising my Lord through music. My husband tells me I was cut out to be a singer, I just got sewed up wrong!! (His very nice way of telling me that I can't sing!) I would have sang with you in the elevator and hugged your neck - spray tan, mushed hair and all! I hope y'all have a wonderful week.

Sister Beth,
Thanks for the fun post. I smiled and laughed all the way through- You are hilarious, and write as if we were chatting over a cup of coffee- I love it!
And I amened you with the Amy Grant comment: I LOVE Amy Grant too! Starting at the age of 4, I knew every one of her songs, and used to walk around the house with a wooden spoon and sing them! And I had Mom do my hair the exact way that she did- a little bit up with the cross bobby pins! I used to wish my name was Amy:) Anyway, I can't believe that you got to sit behind her at a WOF Conference. Wish you had gotten to see her yesterday too (as well as all those other cool artists!)
Sending a huge squeeze back to you! Wish I could hug your neck in person and thank you for being you! I so appreciate and love ya, girl!
Thanks for the fun update! Those you didn't see, don't know what they are missing! Hug back!
I got excited as I read your blog today. My mom and I were with Travis this weekend at the Women of Joy conference in Branson. We were told he had to leave to go to the GMA worship service for Sunday. Kim Hill took his place for that morning. We sure missed Travis but Kim was amazing. (God was amazing through her!) Hearing about your time there just made the whole bunch of you feel like close family especially after worshipping with Travis and his bunch Friday and Saturday. Did you see Jeremy Camp? We were blessed to be a part of his worship Saturday night and I was amazed once again. Didn't know if he had to head out that night to go to Nashville also.
Wish you were going to be close to Arkansas soon. We had to settle for Kay Arthur and Priscilla and Liz Curtis Higgs and Karen Kingsbury. Darn! ha ha ha
We did get a wonderful hug from Kay Arthur. She even kissed my cheek!! So personable!!! Thanks for the cyber hug! Thanks for being God's vessel!!!!
At least you looked like Prince! I always look more like Buckwheat when I get out of bed!!
I like to think of a blog hug as a "blug" Consider youself blugged back. I'll give you a real one probably after I hug Jesus.
I just love you!!
