LONG STORY OF HOW IT ALL CAME TOGETHER BUT ESSENTIALLY THIS IS IT: AMANDA HAD CALLED VET CLINICS AND ONE CALLED BACK AT THE END OF THE DAY PUTTING PIECES TOGETHER OF A WOMAN WHO'D BROUGHT IN A LOST DOG THIS MORNING. THEN, MELISSA PUT UP SIGNS AND THE TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF THE WOMAN WHO'D TAKEN HER TO THE VET SAW THE SIGN AND CALLED, SAYING SHE MAY HAVE HER. KEITH, LIS AND I WAITED ON THE CURB AND UP THE GIRL DROVE, SUNNY'S HEAD OUT THE WINDOW GRINNING EAR TO EAR. WE ARE ABSOLUTELY BESIDE OURSELVES. HAPPY OUT OF OUR MINDS. BEANIE IS ECSTATIC! YOU ARE THE BEST PRAYER WARRIORS IN THE WORLD. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL AND LOVE YOU A JILLION.

Oh, Beth, I'm so happy that Sunny is home!! Praise Jesus!!! It has been on my mind since I found out about it and I've been sending up prayers ever since! God is SO good, isn't He? He cares that you were missing your precious Sunny and He brought her back to you!! Yes!!!!

Yeah!!!! Yeah!!! Yeah!!! I am so glad that your precious Sunny is home where she belongs! This is the post I was waiting for!! I'm sure you will all sleep much better tonight. I have had you all on my mind since she went missing.
We went through the same thing a few weeks ago with my sisters dog, Parker. He is the kind of dog that I won't dare try to spell, much less try to pronounce. Can you guess which kind of dog he is? LOL. Anyway, we looked way into the night for him. He is getting up in years and has some health problems, especially with his heart. The next morning my brother-in-law went looking for him but was unsuccessful. A little while later they saw him standing at the end of the driveway. When they started calling he came running. We can't for the life of us figure out where he had been. He wasn't cold or wet so someone must have taken him in for the night.
My daughter Rebekah asked that I ask you to please pray that Dodger, the little brother of our Golden Retrievers, Gabby and Ryan, finds his way home. He is a 'special needs' dog and he has wondered off and hasn't been seen for several days now.

I'm so happy that Sunny's back!! Yesterday, I called my mom frantic to tell her to pray because Sunny was missing. She immediately knew what a dire situation this was for your family & promised to pray. So needless to say, I am so happy. I can hardly stop smiling myself! Although it doesn't take much to get me smiling these days, since I got engaged this weekend to a wonderful, godly young man. So, now we have two reasons to celebrate! (I just been dying to tell my LPM family and siestas my news, but it didn't seem right with Sunny missing and all.)

This kinda reminds me of the parable of the lost coin and the lost sheep or in your case the lost dog. Luke 15:6 "And when he comes home he calls together his friends, and neighbors (and seistas) saying to them rejoice with me for I have found my sheep which was Lost!! We are rejoicing.

I have a prayer request also. Last year, my best friend and i started a ministry called 'mercy and grace ministries.' In Nov. we were asked to come to Uganda to speak at a conference from a pastor that found our website. We were honored and a bit shocked. We believed God was sending us there. We asked for confirmation and got it. We were blessed with all finances, everything is moving right along... until last week. We got an email from him with the program. Seems that she and I are not only the 'guest' speakers...we are the only speakers! We speak a total of 8 1/2 hours!!! We havent spoke over 30 minutes! SO, we are asking for prayer that all the speech writing be God led and not human led. We are starting out the process this week, we have 8 weeks to finish it. I know we serve a big God, but i cant help but feel nervous and worried that i will mess up what He wants them to hear. We know the siestas are powerful prayer warriors and we need all the prayer we can get. Thanks..

Oh Beth!!!! I am so happy that Sunny has been found. Praise the Lord!! I even told my bible study group last night about Sunny missing and they were upset too. This same group of people were there for me in November when my little dog went missing. I wasn't as fortunate as you, we found her after she had been run over.
I will be seeing you in San Diego tomorrow night and now I don't have to set in pins and needles to hear if she had been found.

Okay, I have to get my boys to bed but I just have to share this: I've been studying Psalm 126 in the Stepping Up study, and since Sunny went missing I've been praying that she would be released from captivity (and I've been praying that her captors were very kind and loving; merely "keepers")and that she would be led back to you with a mouth "filled with laughter" and a tongue with shouts (barks) of joy. And that when Sunny was led home, it would be for you and your family as if you were dreaming. ...So we will say among the nations "The Lord has done great things for you" and we are all filled with joy! [Keeping it all in perspective of course, but still rejoicing greatly with all of you! : ) ]

I am doing "He Speaks to Me" w/a group & I have been asking God to help me discern HIS voice better.
I only read about & prayed for "Sunny to return" a few hours ago - even wrote it down in my journal! (Stay with me, it does make sense.)
I just now went back to get ready for bed & I sensed/felt I should check in because... Sunny had been found. Actually, I thought it was a strange thought & sort of pushed it aside in my head. But, it came back again. I just now turned the computer back on & pulled up the sight and YES,... here it is!
GOD IS SO GOOD - IN SO MANY WAYS. Who could ever have imagined that HIS answer to my prayer for "Sunny to return" would be partnered with HIS answer "for me to better discern HIS voice"???
Our Creator is VERY CREATIVE and I I love it when He surprises me in ways I (or anyone else) would never have thought of!!!

Praise Jesus that He creates such a love in us that we can rejoice that sweet Sunny (a dog we've never laid eyes on) has returned to our precious friends (whom we have never met). What joy is that!? Only joy created in the heavenlies. :)

A story to make you smile - My mom and I are animal lovers and we're always on the lookout for anyone who may be mistreating their pets. We were on a road trip and saw a little dog, scared out of his mind, in the corner of a yard. We stopped and I went to the door and asked the guy if it was his dog. He said it was not, and furthermore he did not care to be bothered with it. So we loaded him up and went on down the road. We gave him to a member of the church my uncle pastors, a great lady who takes needy animals in. Long story short - we found out later that WE HAD DOGNAPPED A BLIND DOG FROM HIS LOVING OWNERS! They had just moved to the house next door to where we found him and he couldn't find his way home. Thankfully, they were very nice about it but that incident is grist for the mill to this day in my extended family.
How precious is our Jesus? How He loves us...I am so touched that Sunny is home safe and sound. God is good all the time....no matter what, but oh how I love it when the lost is found!!!!
I WAS PRAYING FOR THIS HAPPY ENDING! WHAT A DELIGHT FOR ALL OF US!

Hallelujah!!!! My husband is convinced I am nuts. I got on the computer and whooped and somehow explaining that my good friend Beth's dog is home didn't translate!!! I even called my daughter (who's in college) to get her to check the blog earlier today when I couldn't get on the computer! Thank you, thank you Jesus!
Praise be to God for his wonderous glory and answering of prayers!!!!!!!! I am looking up toward heaven and thanking God for his glory. I wish I could give ya'll a big hug. Lord knows you need it. I can only imagine how long these past few days have been for you. Now you can rejoice and enjoy Melissa being home. I bet there is a praise dance going on at the Moore house.

Beth dear---I had read this today and was heart broken for you. I know---because I have HEARD you mention Sunny in so many studies, how much you loved your dear girl. I am so thrilled for you---with you and your family--- for the safe return of the ---well, not the prodigal, for Sunny didn't leave and take all her worldy possessions hum?---I know you will sleep better tonight though.
I also know that you can't possibly visit all the sites that comment, but I have a special give-away--I am grinning here---that you might be interested in! Pop over real quick if you have a second. (You may remember a [not so] brief note I mailed you---*grin* at the end of February???--or maybe early March???) Thanking you for your work for the Lord and the impact you had on my sister's life. I am rejoicing with you! My dog was lost in the woods behind our house for about 30 minutes a couple of years ago and I could barely stand it! I checked the blog at least 3 times today and finally saw the wonderful news a few minutes ago. :-)
