Breaking Free
My mom will be back soon for more wedding talk, but in the meantime I am bursting to tell you all that today is the first day of Bible study for 2008! Beth is incredibly excited and encouraged to meet our group. We will be studying Breaking Free. The core message of this study is simply freedom for the captives. I think it's fair to say that many, perhaps even most of us siestas have been involved in this study before. I know that everyone who has been changed by Christ's message of freedom will share in our joy as we set out to proclaim that wonderful message for the next 10 weeks.
We are excited to get to tell you that Breaking Free is being revised, much like the Tabernacle study (A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place) was. Some of the messages will stay exactly the same and others will change completely. The updated sessions, which will mirror those taught this semester, will be taped in the fall. We could not think of a better location for the filming than Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, where the study was originally filmed ten years ago! (Having to add in a little note here with information we didn't originally have so that we can help prevent calls to their church. The taping is a special occasion between Beth and their church and not open to the public. Thanks so much for your understanding!)
Siestas, may we incite your intercession yet again? (I was going to say "one more time," but I know as long as there is a Living Proof Ministries, we will be asking for your prayers!) The enemy loves to see God's people in bondage, and because of that we know he will come against us and against those who will participate in this study. Even so, while we want to be alert and aware, we march into this semester of Bible study with a spirit of victory and not of fear! Amen? Nothing could be dearer to God's heart than ministering freedom and victory to captives, so we will do it with confidence, fearing no evil.
We claim 2 Timothy 1:7, which says, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (The Amplified Bible) And we wholeheartedly believe 1 John 4:4, which tells us, "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." (NIV)
Our primary prayer request this semester is for the captives not to grow discouraged. Please pray that they will indeed be set free! Pray that each one will finish and make freedom in Christ a reality in her life. I am getting excited just typing these words! I am filled with faith that God is going to do a huge work in each life.
Other things to pray for include anointing for Beth to teach, anointing for our praise team to lead worship, wisdom and endurance for our Bible study coordinator (Jennifer) and other staff members, peace and calm over the parking lot and in the sanctuary as the women arrive, that many will come early, that the parking lot will accommodate every car, and for there not to be even one distraction while Beth is teaching tonight. The list could go on and on! Thank you in advance for your prayers. May God's glorious name be praised!

Praying..and Praising Him in advance for the victories that will come in His Name.
Much love to you!
Holly
Praying for Beth, LPM, Jennifer and all involved. Sure wish time and distance didn't prevent my involvement.
Please keep us updated Amanda.
On my knees with and for you all-
OH GIRL! What I wouldn't give to be in Houston! I LOVED this study and my life was changed in such a HUGE way by God's Word thru Beth! There were chains around me that I had carried so long I kinda forgot about them. But God (love those words) not just showed them to me but He broke them, crushed them and I've been more free than I ever thought was possible!! GOD IS GOOD and I will be praying for the participants there tonight!! And asking forgiveness for my jealousy! haha

How exciting! Our ladies here in Port Angeles loved Breaking Free and many want to do it again. Perhaps I will wait for the updated version! I will be praying for captives to be set free.
Speaking of freedom, I have posted on here before about Christina, the young woman with brain cancer. (www.christinaahmann.com) Well, her MRI last Friday showed NO VISIBLE TRACE of the very large tumor that was in her brain! The cancer is gone, PRAISE GOD! He is so amazing, there are no words...
Loving Him,
Tammy
Dear Amanda,
My eyes well up when I read the words "Breaking Free." My heart is especially tender towards this study and "Believing God." These are the last two studies that I have facilitated and God has orchestrated two of the most special groups I have ever had!
With Breaking Free we started with 11 members (one of the smallest groups I had ever had) and finished with 11 members -- I've never led a study where at least one didn't fall away. Each and every lady there came in with chains and shackles and this message took hold of them and they went away free! God just met with us sometimes with boldness and "in our face" about our stuff and then there were days where He couldn't have been more tender and gently put his fingers under our chins and was, indeed, the "Lifter of our heads!"
So, with all that said, I'm praying! I'm praying for each and everything you have requested for I know the logistics of pulling off Tuesday night Bible study in Houston are huge! But it was for freedom that He came and I know that He will move heaven and earth to meet with that group tonight and for the next 10 weeks!
Oh boy -- if ever I wished I were a Texas woman, now would be the time because I would be there with my old raggity Breaking Free book literally falling open to the stories of the kings, ready for a fresh word!!
Blessings, sweet friend! I can't wait to hear all about His visitation tonight and in the weeks ahead!

Oh what a privilege it will be to pray ! I know Beth must be soooo excited to be back with the Siestas doing what she does best.I've done 5 or 6 studies of hers and have been blessed by each one of them. So,what a great way to get 2008 off to a good start. There's been alot of exciting personal stuff shared on the blog lately.I am so appreciative that the Moores are so open to thier fellow servants. But,i also know beth's ministry is at the heart of this family too so good to hear what's going on in that area.Btw,does anyone know when the Esther study will be coming out?
i am praying for beth and all involved that all will go well tonight to His Glory and souls will be saved.

I will be praying for Beth, for Jennifer and all the LPM team. May His prescence be so strong tonight, and visible in everything from the parking lot to the one who turns off the lights at the end of the night.
We re-did Breaking Free last year at the request of some ladies that had not done it with our group the first time. I reused my workbook from the first time, and was amazed to see the new things that God had for me and how He did build on what He had already begun in my life the first go around.
At least all of you know that there is someone praying for you from Georgia! I pray that the Lord opens hearts and minds all throughout the study so everyone can see Him clearly. How lucky you all are to be able to be together! Hopefully one of these days I can get someone from here interested in a Bible study. :)
My prayers begin even now for all that you mentioned, Amanda.
Lord, we thank You in advance for the mighty work you are going to do in the lives of all who participate in this study.
We love you Lord for your faithfulness and for your lovingkindness toward us.
Blessings,
Mary
Praying for Beth and everyone at First Houston and beyond involved in this revised Bible study. Praying particularly for everyone currently in bondage, that they may experience FREEDOM. I must tell you, my journey to break free from my own terrible chains began the moment I started reading "Breaking Free".
with love to each and every one of you,
maria
I did this study several years ago and it was wonderful. The women of my church start "Jesus the One and Only" tonight and I am really looking forward to it.
Prayers to all that begin their studies that God will minister to your hearts, minds and souls.
T.
I have chills remembering what God did in my own life during this study. I'm asking the Father to do the same and more for each one who enters that worship center tonight.
Anticipating HIM!!!
steph.
Definately praying for you, Beth and all of those involved in putting this Bible Study together. Can I just say, sometimes I wish I could be a Houston resident for a season of time, so I could participate?! I, personally, have not done breaking free. I have heard great things about it, and perhaps it is one I should do, just to make sure my stuff is dealt with victoriously!
Love,
Holly, NM
Oh, I will be praying for you all. I don't normally post, but Breaking Free was my first ever "Beth" study....and not only did I begin to break free, but it started me on a course of many studies by Beth that God has used to absolutely change my life! May God bless you all richly....
Connie
I will lift these up in Mary Ann's prayer time tonight. Thank you! I am excited! :) Glad to hear form you again Amanda! Hope you had an amazing holidays! Wish you could be with us tonight!
Oh, for about the hundredth time I wish I lived in Houston, Texas! :o)
May God help Beth empty herself of herself, leaving a willing vessel for Him fill up and use to blow a fresh wind of freedom into all the hearts that gather there.
And...let's be praying for ALL the new studies starting up this week and next! I'll have a new group here tomorrow for Jesus the One and Only. Praying against the enemy as hungry hearts all across the country, the WORLD, seek to know our God.
I just finished leading two groups through Breaking Free. The barriers put up by the Evil One are very real. I had several women who didn't make it through to the end. But, Praise God, there were more who did. It is amazing what a powerful study Breaking Free is, I've seen many eyes opened. Mine were pried wide open more than anyone else! As usual!
I will be praying. The power of a changed life is exponential.
Praying for all involved...from the stage to the seats to the ones just trying to pull up a piece of carpet. May the Lord do an awesome job drawing in and changing up those in need of this teaching.
I stand in agreement with you in prayer.
I bought the Breaking Free workbook the last week of the Esther study, but will be unable to attend due to my parents' health situation. The good news is I am going to lead a small study in my home, we will study the Psalms of Ascent in the Stepping Up study.
My heart is with Beth, the Living Proof staff, the praise team, and all my siestas (and the men) who will attend the study.
Dear Siestas...Go For It, Stay the Course, Be Free in Christ Jesus...the Truth will set you free!!!!
Annette
I'm so excited for us all. Our Life Group will begin this study on Monday night, 1/14. I took it in 1999, and then two years later I read the book that ROCKED my world, Praise Jesus! Just in my first week of study I have been challenged and I'm amazed at how timely this is for my life right now. Praying and believing God!
Oh I will pray! I know it is going to be awesome I got chill bumps just reading what you said... and thinking about what God is going to do! (Just watched 8th DVD in Believing God this morning with my group (one of my top favorites... and seen it so many times) so Breaking Free is already on my heart!)
God Bless All Involved! Emmy : )
P.S. I LOVE the amplified version of 2 Timothy 1:7 going straight to get an index card! : )
I have "been in church" all my life, but had never been involved in a Bible Study until I participated in "Breaking Free" in 2001.
In fact, several days ago, I had a conversation concerning a moment during that particular study when my life began to change.
I am so excited about what God is going to do thru the revision of this study. Lives WILL be changed. Bonds WILL be broken.
Beth, your courage and faithfulness have never been more evident to me than they are right now.
This Siesta will stay on her knees for you.
Oh - how I will be praying - I'm in the middle of week 9 of Breaking Free for the 1st time and to be honest with you when I started the study I really didn't think I had a lot to break free from. Boy, was I surprised! God is so unbelievably good - how I love Him!! He is truly breaking chains off of my life and mind - strongholds that have been there so long I really thought they were just a part of me. Oh and week 6 where Beth talks about the refining process - how we think we've gotten past something only to see the old us rear her ugly head with a vengance. But, He is just refining us - bringing things to the surface that we just didn't know were still in there. I just love Him more and more everyday!
Congrats to your beautiful sister, Melissa and her future hubby. I pray God's Hand on their lives and that they will live in the very center of His perfect will.
Thanks again for all that you, your sister, your mother and the LPM staff do for all of us women - God is using all of you in such a wonderful way - you all will never know this side of heaven what your ministry and obedience to God have meant in so many of our lives!! His word is LIFE!!
God Bless and Happy New Year!
What a great inspiration our Siesta Beth is. Thank you for allowing us insight into your life through the Bible studies. I am so glad we are getting to know you also Amanda. I will be lifting up all the ladies and Beth tonight as you begin Breaking Free. That is one Bible Study I need to continually do!
Love to you all
Amanda in SC
Isn't it a blast to start a new semester bible study! We will be starting Daniel this evening! My husband and I have listened to the audio Cd's and I filled out the listening guide. Which was a wonderful blessing. I am such a visual learner and can't wait for the DVD's and doing the awesome daily homework and getting together with my precious sisters in Christ.
I did just start "Stepping Up" yesterday on my own and don't want to put it aside . . . I may have myself in a whirl. Oh well I just love every minute spent in the precious Word! Amen!
Praying blessings upon your new studies also!
AJ: Thank you so much for the prayer request and update about Breaking Free - WOW!
May God be praised and may peace prevail tonight. I pray for His anointing over Beth as she teaches her heart out, and for Jennifer to have an organized mind, for all those bound and those free who will attend. May there be great LIBERTY tonight from the first moment until the closing prayer. May each woman feel the precious power of Christ as soon as she approaches the grounds tonight.
And may those of us who cannot attend (in person) be set free from envy...:)
Love y'all,
Jan, Your Georgia siesta
I've done this study twice and lead it once...it completely changed my life. Taught me to walk in freedom, to claim freedom through the power of the Spirit at work in me, to recognize the lies of the enemy, to believe (for real!) that God does love me. I will definitely be praying for your session this winter! I SO wish I lived in Houston so I could make this journey with you all. I have been honored to watch so many women find freedom from their chains during this study, and it has been, for me, one of the most instrumental studies of my entire life...praise God! Blessings on you all!
Praying, praying and praying some more. Wish I could be there :(
uh emm...you meant "Oklahoma City", right?
My heart is so very sad that I cannot be at bible study on the first night. But, if makes me even more excited for next week when I'll be there for good!!
Praying for all of you precious ladies who always make Tuesday night bible study such a succes!
Praying for Mrs. Beth and the words she will speak tonight. I know they will be sweet. Lord, hide her behind YOUR cross! Oh, that HE may be glorified.
And, praying for the oh, so precious parking lot. I do know the stress of that.
Precious Jesus, please give everyone an extra dose of patience as they are headed too, sitting in the parking lot of, and leaving bible study!! The fruit of the spirit is PATIENCE!!
Much love to all of Houston tonight. See you ladies next week!
Lindsee
Oh Father,
You have been and continue to be so faithful to your children who come to receive Your Life Changing Word. Please anoint all this under your protective umbrella as you usher in a new season for all your hand picked children.
Our hearts are full and expectant for all that you will do and in awe and amazement for Your Glory to be displayed. Thank you for all the siestas that will faithfully intercede, may you bless and keep them in the Victory that is their's through your Son Jesus.
In HIS Powerful Love,
Celeste
That is soooo exciting!
Breaking Free was the first Beth Bible study that i went to. i quit because I could not make it through the session without bawling my eyes out. I had never heard such truths before and they hit a very tender palce in my heart
Yes I will pray for his study. I did this study several years ago. God used it to help me gain freedom concerning fear. God has done a mighty work in my life using this study and several other studies by Beth. Oh how I would love to be apart of this study. With much gratefulness Kim B. Az
"Breaking Free" was life-changing for me. I'll have to check out the new version and maybe even do the whole study again; I feel like I'm a different person than the girl who did it in '02!
Praying!! :)
AMEN about Breaking Free. I have done it 6 or 7 times (I may have lost count) and I can not even begin to say what it means to me. I AM FIRED UP about this study for all of the homegirls!
Also, I start leading the bible study stepping up tonight! I can't wait!!
Love that you all are led to do this. It would be awesome to see Believing God in a child's/teenage version (sort of like you did with the David study). For me, it was the basic foundation of believing Him and taking Him at His WORD!! Believing His truth towards me that I had never been told in all my life. Your ministry is so on fire for Him and to make His name known in all the world! May this year be another that praises and raises His Name high!
I will be thinking and praying for tonight and the for the weeks to come! Breaking Free was an awesome study! I am excited that it is being revised and updated, I look forward to studying it yet again! The message is so current and vital for today! Too many of us that have been set free still walk around in bondage. "Take the shackles off my feet so I can dance"!!!
I've done this study before, and we are getting ready to start it again. I am so excited to do it over, as I am such a different place now.
I will be praying for the ladies tonight.
Breaking Free was my first Beth Moore study and let me tell you it open a whole can of worms for me. Ultimately I ended up in the psych ward of a hospital but with no regrets because today I am living in more liberty and grace than ever before. As an athlete I knew that physical commitment to goal was hard but in Breaking Free" I learned that the spiritual training is hard and just as rewarding. Prayers to all of you and remember that hard work will bring about blessings that are yet to be known. so y'all go ahead and just ROCK THE UNIVERSE because God is with you all the way.
Be blessed today...
How cool that this study is being redone-re released.
I will be praying for God anointing to fall. For hearts to be touched and forever changed.
And I have to say that I am just a tad excited that they will be filming close by.
I wonder if those will be open to the public???
I only live about 45 minutes away!
But in our area that is just a hop skip and jump.
I am SO wishing that I lived in Houston right now! Of course if all the siesta lived there, LPM would have to find another facility.
This is the study that has most radically changed my life. This is the study through which I discovered the "real" Jesus and began a relationship with Him. I am excited about the plans for the revision (and not because of Beth's hairstyle!). The wisdom that God has given Beth since the first edition will surely be evident and used mightily for His glory. If the first had such an impact, I can only imagine the multiplied impact that this one will have. I cannot wait to see what God has planned for this! I will be continually praying for ALL of LPM.
On my knees... This study is so powerful and I know firsthand how much the enemy likes to attack our sisters being set free from his bondage.
A big AMEN to 1 John 4:4!
Praying... Praying... and rejoicing... I have taken/led Breaking Free 2/2 times and it has changed my pitiful self... So rejoicing that it is being revised! I know I need to set free from something! :-)
I facilitated this study a while back. It blew me away! It changed my life. Also, I had such a special group of ladies that I love and still communicate with regularly. We laughed a lot and we cried a lot.
My prayers are with you.
Love ya!
Kristi B.
Right now...I am wishing I lived in Houston!
I'll be praying! In 2002-2001 this study SET ME FREE!! Thankfully my leader warned us all that Satan didn't want us to do this study and not to give up. He mounted a full scale attack in the weeks before I even went to the first meeting. Too bad! He lost big time. And this former captive is blessed to pray for each of your participants.
Gladly praying for everyone.
Love ya'll to pieces.
You can bet prayers are coming your way!! I'm doing Breaking Free right now with a great group of ladies at our church and I am LOVING it!
Yesterday at our study we did the video for Week 5 of BF, "Binding Up the Broken Hearted" and that was absolutely some of the most powerful teaching I have EVER heard! Such tremendous insight! The teaching about being saved but not satisfied, and how to become so was absolutely living water to me. Thanks you so much! I've been walking around in a buzz for the last 24 hours, just thrilled with that teaching session and wishing for an outlet to thank everyone at LPM and Beth for this fabulous series! To hear it's being redone and brought to even more women is absolute joy to my ears!
When I first started the study I was wondering why God called me to it. I don't come from a background with any abuse or terrible tragedy, no horribly awful regrets that I feel unforgiven for. So why was God calling me to this particular study? To be exposed to Beth for the first time is I believe the primary answer because I've been absolutely pierced to the heart by her incredible insight and wisdom with other resources in addition to the study! I got 90 Days With the One and Only for Christmas and it is FABULOUS! This blog too!
So more of God's glorious power to you all with this endeavor!
Christine
I will be praying. The Lord used this study to set me free many years ago I am forever grateful. We did this study at my church 2 years ago and our ladies were forever changed. What a privilege to watch captives being set free right before your eyes. Can't wait to hear of His salvation!
Kelli
That is so awesome to hear that Beth is revising that study. That study impacted my life in countless ways and it had such a profound effect on my life that I hope that other women will experience such freedom in their own lives'. Praise God for your continued work.
I am heading out in 30 min. and have been excited all day that tonight is the night! I am so looking forward to this study and the work God is going to do in my life through it. YIPPEE!!
I will be praying for this study, big time, as I know what it caused to happen in my own life.
It was back in 2003, when God helped me to chose this study over all of Beth's other studies on the LPM Resource Table at the end of one of Beth's studies, to try to do "on my own, between God, Beth, and myself" via her audio cassettes and the workbook.
And, besides setting me free from a whole lot of old bondage, it set me free in the biggest way possible, about half way through that study.
It caused me to realize that what Beth Moore, other Christian singers, Christian DJ's, etc., "had" was not a "thing" at all. However, I had no idea what I was supposed to do about it, so I finally found someone from Beth's church [which is where her Bible studies had taken place], to explain a bunch of things to me. And, then, a short time later, this dear lady led me to sweet salvation in Christ Jesus one afternoon in mid April...
And, it was mainly due to my having whole-heartedly been trying to complete all of the homework [as it was so exciting!], and the sessions for each of 2-1/2 of Beth's in-depth Bible studies that I fel that I was led by God Himself to take within a 7 month time period, and the fact that I "just couldn't get enough of Him, or God's Word".
However, it also had a great deal to do with a few particular pages and statements that Beth wrote about, and talked about [on the cassettes] in her Breaking Free study that really hit me that caused me to have a serious "need" to ask someone some very specific questions about God, Jesus, and the Bible. And, it all led up to my inviting Jesus to please come into my heart, to take over my life, and to help me follow Him and His Ways, and not my own any more, for the rest of my life. It was what I call "the BEST thing that has EVER happened to me in my entire life". Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus !!!
And, thank you, Beth, for having the guts to cause us [your Bible students] to try to begin to memorize parts of Scripture, as, in my case, although it was and still is a difficult thing for me to do, it has caused wonderful things to happen in my life, and for bringing God so much glory through this particular study !
So, I will definitely be praying our each of Y'all, and for each person who chooses to attend this study this semester! And, that the Holy Spirit would guide other people who were like me several years ago, who do not already know Him as her/his personal Lord and Savior to just "feel called to join you" for this particular study of God's Word.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Jennifer

May God bless all those who will be blessed with this study.
Praying for you, Beth, and for all the ladies there. He already knows who NEEDS this study worked out in their lives. Oh set them free, Father. For if the Son has set you free, then you are free indeed! Thank you Jesus!
Praying! Breaking free transformed my mom's life and her marriage.
Also praying for no spittle :)
How exciting! I'm praying. Glory! Just seeing the ad for tonight got me excited.
This is a phenomenal study that has the potential to radically change any life that jumps in with both feet and an open heart! I will be praying diligently!
My own prayer request; our church in Paragould begins "Stepping Up" on Jan 21...please pray for the ladies that are involved in planning and preparation and especially for those that will be going through the study. I've been peeking at my workbook and I believe this is going to be an incredible journey, fun, and challenging!!
i have a friend and her sister-in-law coming tonight...praying for the sil to be free!! be glorified tonight, oh Most High Lord and Savior!!
I thought of y'all today while I was thinking about it being Tuesday and knowing Bible study was starting back for our Houston girls....and began praying as soon as I thought of you. I love the scripture out of Timothy.
Praying for all of you and will continue to pray for you throughout the study.
May you be free....free indeed girls. Its key to life in Christ.
Hugs~
Fran
Father, give this anointed group...teaching and receiving...spiritual eyes and spiritual ears to hear and see your message through this study. Grip them by Your Grace and Your Might. Break chains and restore a Holy Passion in these lives. How precious You are. You set captives free! You breathe life into dead bodies! You are our hope and we trust in You. In Jesus Name. Amen.
This IS so exciting. I'm on the edge of my seat to do this study. So many of my friends have completed it and said it's life changing! I wish I could be with you, but instead I'll be praying for you here in NJ!
Amanda-I would recommend everyone doing this study yearly! I was so blessed by it's principles. I cannot wait for the updated version-my husband just groaned as my library shelf with Beth Moore's books is going to have to make more room (and maybe need more support)!
God Bless!
In His Graces~Pamela
Done, girlfriend!
I'm praying that from the first car to arrive in the parking lot to the last car to leave, God annoints the entire process! Also, here's to those needing some Breaking Free to break free in Christ!
Love y'all,
Kristen
Breaking Free was my first study and has a very special place in my heart.
I pray that the Lord would use your ministry in a mighty way. I pray too for the women attending - that they would receive ALL the Lord has in mind for them.
I am a captive (still) aching to be free. I feel I am just on the edge of freedom only to be sucked under. Glory to God He is the victor and He will accomplish His work in Beth and in this revised study. Can't wait to get my hands on it down here in Florida. Jesus Christ is your strong tower...over the church, Beth, the study and all through the parking lot! Thank you Amanda for your sweet spirit that shines through on your blogs. May God richly bless you.
Siesta from Tampa Bay.
Siestas - prayers were already answered - I have done the study and thought to just absorb and not re-do the book - nope, have to get a new book and start it over - Beth was right on the mark tonight. I can not wait for next week . . . she truly was right on the mark. Thank you all!
I will be praying for Beth and for the ladies attending the study. I completed Breaking Free this past August and it changed my life. I have never been in a Bible study group. I am excited because I am facilitating a study group at my church, it begins in two weeks. We met last night to introduce ourselves, order materials, and decide the day and time. We are doing the Breaking Free study. I cannot wait to see how God changes my life, AGAIN!, and the lives of others.
What a great way to start 2008!
Lord as I post this prayer, I know that the Bible study is likely conculded and many are safely at home - perusing their Bible study books and contemplating what the next 10 weeks will been. I've been there... my journey through Breaking Free was just two years ago, and as you have shown me I need it again... for my stuff is not all dealt with.
I got sidetracked... God, I pray a spirit of endurance over the women who have commited to this study, that their minds would be fixed on you and the arduous and rewarding work ahead. I pray those who are struggling with thickly walled strongholds, laced with ancient hurts and regrets, generational bondage, agonizing secrets and wounds that have been left untended too long. I pray for the precious hearts the women to be knit together in community, acceptance and love and for Beth's anointing to increase exponentially throughout the coming weeks. Speak to her Lord, and then Speak through her. You always do and we praise You for that. Bless Beth and Jennifer and all those named and unamed who contribute to the success of glorifying You and growing deeper in Your Word. You are magnificent Lord, be huge in the lives of the women who are embarking on the journey of release in Houston tonight. Keep it fresh on their hearts and minds that You have fit us with every piece of armor we need to do battle with the enemy and recover the ground lost in our lives. We have only the need take it up daily. You have given us the power through Your Son and Holy Spirit to demolish strongholds and everything that sets itself up against You and Your holy will. Help them to know that no weapon formed against them will prosper and that Your plans are to prosper us and not to harm us, use what Satan intended for evil for good and to work all things including painful bondage for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen them Lord and be their peace. We thank You in the Mighty Name of Jesus as we expect and anticpate much praise over the answer Your've prepared in advance for all who are seeking You. In the precious name of Christ I pray,
Amen - let it be done as You will it on earth as it is in heaven.
Our group is starting Living Beyond Yourself tomorrow!! Can't wait!!
Prayers have gone up for tonight. Father, you know the needs of each woman there. Let your words become Beth's words. Bless this study, and all those who are involved.
We'll be starting Breaking Free next month, here. I just love Bible Study Tuesday!!
Melana in Wyoming
I will pray for your prayer group. I'm so excited I got my three new books from LPM . Trust I need them LOL! I just wished I didn't live out here in South East Louisiana or I would be there in a heart beat.
Much Love to you Beth and all LPM Staff!!!!!!
I'm bummed I didn't check the LPM blog this morning, but since everyone that attended tonight is probably back home by now, I'll pray that the enemy has no grounds in the quiet of the night. Lord, I lift up everyone involved in making tonight & the following weeks happen, from Beth-the author of the study to the audience-the reason for the study. I didn't want to close my workbook when I came to the end. I still carry my red case in my purse with my note cards in it that I bought for my scripture. This study changed my heart, mind & my love for my Freedom Giver. Thank you for doing this study Beth. I can't wait to read the testimonies of those who go. I had to fight my way through this study as the devil did NOT want me to learn, read or accept what God & Beth had to teach me. Oh Beth I wish I could give you a big hug right now...do it for me Amanda.
Many Blessings~
Lelia
Dear Beth, Amanda, Melissa and LPM,
2008 will be the year of restoration, so I declare and decree, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, that the women participating in Breaking Free everywhere, indeed, will be set free. For we claim the Word of God, "If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed." Hallelujah! Praise God. And we pray protection against the enemy for all participants and for Beth, LPM and the worship team. Lord, place a hedge of protection around each of them and their families, and if needed, send Your angels to war and protect the captives who are so hungry to be set free. To You, O Lord, we give all the glory! Thank You, Lord, for loving us and hearing the cries of our hearts! In the Precious Name of Your Son, our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen!
Many prayers for you, sweet Beth, to be able to focus on this study, which will impact so many women's lives, (mine was changed amazingly when I took this course several years ago!)and to be able to focus on Melissa's wedding and all the joys and craziness that goes along with being a MOB (Mother of the Bride). I pray that in blessing others, all of you involved with this course (worship team, too) will receive a hundred-fold blessing in return.
Amanda, your mother will be up to her eyeballs in busy-ness, so please keep us updated. God bless!
I know I'm excited! Not only for your ministry and all those blessed gals who get to be a part of it, but my women's group starts our new study next Wednesday and it just happens to be "Breaking Free"! I was already looking forward to it, but now am especially anticipating it! Thank you, in advance, for all we have laid before us in this study and God bless you in your present endeavors!
~jessica
Woo Hoo!! I love, love, love this study. Can I also add that I love being FREE. And this study was instrumental in helping the Holy Spirit accomplish this in me.
So dear Beth and LPM staff, I've got your back in prayer on this one. May you experience the pure joy that comes with truly Breaking Free!!
Free indeed,
~Cheryl
As a siesta from Houston I wish to give praise and glory to God for the parking lot "kindness" of the drivers last night, the availability of parking made generously possible by a Houstonian proprietor, the fact that no lady had to leave that building without a Bible or workbook, that God was glorified in the praise Team and Lisa's powerful lead voice, and that God's message poured forth from Beth's teaching and vibrant energy.
I did this study with our congregation a while back and it was good; I learned so much about my own bondages and their inceptions.
Then an auto accident changed my life last year - a drunk driver - and he was not charged with any crime even though he left me crushed beneath a truck and caused a multi-vehicle accident from 85 mph. He was caught 3 days later. This young man was not charged because the D.A.s in Houston said it would be hard to prove he was the one behind the wheel (2am).
Ladies...I have tried to let this go. It is hard. The hospital staff during my stay had some serious problems as well so treatment was cold and calculated; and to add insult to injury, I was terminated from a new job I had looked long & hard for, because I wouldn't be able to come back right away. I was too new on the payroll (60 days) and expendable.
I could go on and on but I won't. Suffice it to say, I'm so grateful to be living in Houston tonight. I'm trapped within some "stuff" that was uninvited and unexpected due to this life-changing accident.
I am praying for healing...inside healing.
Last night was amazing! As a young woman and mother to be, I am so excited to be a part of this study for the first time. I truly believe God has placed this study in my life at this time so that I can be FREE before I start motherhood!
I told my sweet baby in my belly, "Mama NEEDS to finish this one so if you come early, please don't come before March 25th! :)" And apparently this child loves him or her some Beth Moore because there was NON STOP kicking while she was speaking! :)
Thank you for sharing all that God has taught you and for being such an amazing vessel for him to reach out to us women!!! :)
I will be praying for you all. And yes, I need to deal with my "stuff" too. Looking forward to taking the revised edition class!
This study changed my life back in 1999 and to top it off, I took it 2more times when I led a Bible Study group. I share this study with women all the time encouraging them that it will make a huge difference in their life. I will be praying that God will continue to be glorified through this study. Blessings to you!
Lifting prayers. This is a great thing. Thank you for your obedience to Him. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom! :)
Blessings,
Angela
GOD IS SO AWESOME!!
The scripture you guys are claiming is the one I had in my quiet time today and I'm claiming it for you guys and all of us!
....2 Timothy 1:7, which says, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." ...
YES LORD...We BELIEVE!!!
I echo my Siesta Kate who is praying for everyone including the person who is pulling on a piece of carpet...May everyone involved just be Startled to pieces by his love and power!
I just found a Siesta on the blog that is my Sister at church!
Praise GOD! Ain't HE sweet, Siesta's!!
On my knees for all of you!!
With much love, prayers and blessings!!
Teri
Well, I think Houston is about to get some Freedom on! :)
Praying today for sure, that last night's study will encourage and ignite passion in the hearts of all who attended that they can be free in Christ.
SO excited for all the Houston gals. I use to be one and then moved away in '06. SO SAD I can't be there every Tuesday night anymore - wah wah :`( I miss Tuesday night Bible Study and KSBJ the most! Praying for Beth each Tuesday and grateful to see her on TV every Wednesday.
The Journey Continues ~
Hey Siesta,
ON MY KNEE'S AND FACE WITH DAILY PRAYERS FOR THE MINISTRY THAT CONTINUES TO "CARRY THE LIGHT" OF JESUS CHRIST !!!!
WITH "HEAVEN BOUND" BLESSINGS,

I will be praying for Beth and all involved. How do I find out about the taping in New Orleans? My daughter is in medical school at Tulane and I would love more information.
Thanks,
Have a blessed day!
Praying for all..and a special anointing for Mama-Beth! Even if God works through this as HE did with the first...It is going to be incredible!!!!
Can I just be honest? (I guess since no one on this blog knows me...) I am NOT looking forward to this semester. As a matter of fact, I am PETRIFIED of this semester. Beth, you kept asking us last night if we understood you. Girl, I understood just about every hurt and hang up you spoke of! Sexual abuse, co-dependancy, abandonment, hate and self disgust. OH, let me tell you, I am NOT ready for this...
But God took me to that exact spot last night, in my broken chair, crowded between all those happy, beautiful women. I must have stuck out like a sore thumb. I will finish this semester with you Beth, but I got to be honest...I'm terrified.
I so wish I could go!!!!
I started this study a few years back. I say started because I never finished the work. I have so much that I NEED to desperately break free from and everytime I start some kind of study to do that, I get SO overwhelmed by it all that I just stop! I made it to every study and listened to Beth speak through the videos but I didn't do all the work myself. I will say that I got something out of it, but I will also say that unless you do the work, you will not fully reap the benefits!!!!
Ladies, take my word, DO THE HOMEWORK....I am this time....
last night was SOOOO GOOD! im so excited to be broken free from things i didnt even know i was captive too. its like God wrote the study just for me, and this is the season for it:)
I did not read this until this morning, so I didn't get to pray for it last night, but I hope it was all it needed to be. I am praying that the future sessions go amazingly well. More than anyone could dream or hope. How I wish I was in Houston! This is one of the studies I have always wanted to do, but have not. And I will admit, a part of me is scared to. But, maybe soon I will get the chance.
My poor prayers are with you!
Dear Beth,
I will pray for your revised study, that you would be filled with wisdom and insight and liberty in your own spirit. Mazal Tov to Melissa and Colin, may your family's joy be full! Shalom
Breaking Free changed my life. As a "lifetime" Christian who had lived in bondage all of her adult life, I will always be grateful for this study. I pray that it changes many other lives the way that it did mine.
I was there last night, and left very encouraged and excited about the study!! Can't wait...
I have been reading your blogs since they began but have never posted one myself until today. As I read about your new "Breaking Free" class, my heart is so tender for your precious ladies, Beth! I will be facilitating "Breaking Free" for the third time in 6 years beginning next week, this time to a group of single women only! I am so excited and yet so humbled at the opportunity to share with these ladies their amazing journey out of captivity and into freedom. Thank you for sharing your prayer requests. I will be praying them for your class, my class and all of the other classes who are seeking to break free from the chains that bind!
For His Glory!
Melanie
I am all over praying for this study, and like a few fellow Siestas, praising sweet Jesus, in advance, for the precious deliverance that will come from it. I'd do anything to live in Houston for the next 10 weeks, but am grateful to feel connected in prayer.
Go get 'em girls!
Many blessings.
xo
Chris
Congrats to Melissa and Colin! I'm a hopeless romantic too so keep the wedding details coming :-)
Hi Everyone!! I'm new to this blog thing - I have been reading your blogs for quite a while now but was unable to respond because...well...i didn't know how - yes that's right - technology and I do NOT go together. I'm blogging all the way from Belfast (in Ireland) and want to thank you Beth and team for all the times I've read your blog and cried, laughed etc; Congratulations on the wedding to be. Blessings from your new siesta xox
How exciting. I just started this study for the 2nd time last week. I did it once 5 years ago and decided to do it again on my own. I ordered the audio cd's a little early I guess. I'll have to do the study a third time too!! :o)
Be assured of my prayers for this new revised study.
Blessings,
Theresa
Praying for the next 10 weeks. Breaking free was my first ever Beth Moore Bible study. I loved it! I remember thinking about how I didn't have any "Ancient Ruins" yet in my life.
I do wish that at some point someone would gear a Bible study towards a newlywed woman. New marriage is tough and we seem stuck in the middle of not having kids but not being "youth" anymore.
After completing two of my homework assignments for today from "Breaking Free", here are some thoughts that came to mind (Week 2/Days 2 & 3).
Created
He’s the Filling of my hunger
The Quencher of my thirst
My soul’s satisfaction
When I put Him first
Chorus:
Created for His glory,
A temple where He dwells
Given chances to surrender
To all that HE entails
Is He recognizable,
In all I do and say?
Is it obvious to all,
I let Him have His way
He satisfies my longings,
Fulfills all that I need
How can I thank Him for
Everything He’s done for me?
Chorus:
Created for His glory,
A temple where He dwells
Given chances to surrender
To all that HE entails
Tag: Created for His glory for all that He entails
I will definitely be praying for you ALL (teacher, leaders, participants)as you serve the Lord in leading this Bible study. I am so grateful that you are doing this for the ones God has already prepared in advance to be part of this study. Exciting days are ahead - I can't wait to hear what He does in and through each woman!
I will be leading the DVD version of Breaking Free in my Women's Bible Study starting in two weeks! I went through the workbook myself about eighteen months ago and have been itching to do it with the women at church. How awesome that you will be revisiting it at the same time!
I will definitely be praying for this study. This was the hardest study for me to get through. In fact, it took 2 tries to finally finish it. Unfortunately it wasn't enough by itself, but I am getting through my stuff. I don't know if I will ever be done, but we're working on it. Me and God. Praying so hard for the ladies in this study as well as Beth and everyone else involved.
I can't imagine Breaking Free being better than it is, but I know if Beth is redoing it, it will be "powerful stuff". Praying that the study goes smoothly and that people will take this study to heart and find their freedom in Christ. That they will live to become "a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor!"
I admit, I have been dreading dealing with my own stuff and it was hard to bring myself to a place where I was willing to plunge in to Breaking Free. . . Not what I expected at all but sooo glad. Isaiah and this study are apparently a manual for leadership, something we all are in Christ. So far, I am beginning to embrace the fact that I have to step into the roll I am called to, despite my fears and insecurities (huge ones). Praise the LORD that He is here to help.
You are all such a blessing and I praise God that you have stepped into the rolls that He has called you to. That obedience is a tool for Him to reach out to so many of us.
much love to you as your tuesday night siesta
My husband and I are "Breaking Free" together. Please pray for us to be free from some things that have been so much a part of our lives that we've not been able to be rid of them. We are praying that this study will be the thing that finally works for us. PRAY. . .PRAY. . .PRAY!!! We want so much to be all that God wants us to be in Him.
Breaking Free is very near and dear to my heart too! In the Spring of 2004 God prepared me for major lifestyle changes during the study which I facilitated for a small group of women in Athens, Texas. The following Fall, the lifestyle that God was preparing me for - finally happened. After moving back to Shreveport, where we had always lived, I had to take custody of two of my adorable granddaughters. It was a shock, but I knew without a doubt that God's hand was on me and He worked out every detail! I will be praying for you, Beth and the women of your Breaking Free group!
Sincerely,
Lynn
