A Glimpse of God in Omaha
Oh, my gracious! Thank you so much for praying for us as we gathered in expectation of a Jesus-show in Omaha, Nebraska. (I had prayed this acronym over Omaha after I arrived: Omnipotent Merciful Advocate Here Appear. I believe with all my heart - despite human frailties and inadequacies - that He did.) I fell head over heels in love with those women and their lean-forward and grab the seed out of the air attitude. I challenged them to memorize a (hard and wordy) verse and they screamed it out with holy passion over and over. Now, that's my kind of group! (I never have a group I don't end up crazy about but this was one of those that came to meet with Jesus and wasn't leaving without a revelation.) I don't know about the 6000 others but this woman right here had her own personal God encounter. I came to this event with a battered heart from an onslaught of hurts and God had profuse mercy on my sad soul. (Please don't get distracted by that. All of us have hurts. You might just say a prayer for me and for my extended family then leave it to our faithful Father. You and I have plenty of others to pray for who are hanging on by a thread.) I've already seen several requests for the commissioning we did at the conclusion of the event so I'll include it below. I often get the ladies in pairs at the very end, ask them to look each other straight in the eye and call each other to faithfulness as we prepare to take on our worlds once again. The commissionings are always different because they reflect the Scriptural subject matter. This one was based on our three sessions out of Philippians 4:4-13. Even if you weren't there in Omaha with us, you might read those verses then grant me the privilege of speaking these challenges over you, Darling One. I love you dearly.
Beloved, in the Name of Jesus
I commission you
To rejoice in the Lord always
And again I say rejoice.
Stop worrying about everything!
Dump your anxiety
And start praying like mad.
Start thinking about
What you're thinking about!
Start feeding your spirit
And stop feeding your flesh.
Never forget the true Secret:
Christ in you, the Hope of Glory!
You, Dear One, have the supernatural CAN DO!
Now, believe God
And turn your CAN DO
Into WILL DO!
You are NOT a wimp.
You are a warrior.
In the Name and power of Christ
Go out there and act like one.

what a wonderful commission!! By God's grace, we can live up to it because. . .I can do ALL things through Christ who give me strength [to do what He calls me to do] (Phil 2:13). Thanks for your ministry, Beth; I enjoy your blog so much.

Beth,
Thank you so much for coming to Omaha and the message that you gave. I just had to laugh at God (well, maybe with and not at) when you announced the scripture for the weekend. I had been thinking about Phil. 4:8 all week and kept thinking to myself, "I really need to get in there and break this verse down." I was a little frustrated with myself when the week flew by and I never got around to it. You announced what we'd be studying and all I could think was, "God, that is so like you - workin' it out even when I drop the ball." So, in short, thanks for your obedience to the Holy Spirit. I can't tell you the countless ways your ministry has impacted my life as a young woman who is called to ministry but doesn't have a clue what she's doing. It's good to see someone who openly announces that she doesn't have it all together but is out there doing the thing anyway. Thank you!

I needed that commissioning statement. I have been so sick all week and getting discouraged.
Thanks for all of the sharing. Happy mothers day!
Well now Miss Beth, I feel spoken to, spoken over and awakened by this great commission in the name of Jesus! I am NOT a whimp- how nice that's true. I often think of John 16:33- "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." It is just so reassuring to me that whatever "it" is, Christ has won the victory over it! I just need to live in that. Praise Him! You and yours are in my prayers. Thank you Thank you! Grace and Peace in Jesus, Kim in Pa
beth moore i am so excited about you coming to boone i can't stand it :)
bless you for the way you bless us with your faithful walk and tenacious faith. love you!
Oh dear Beth, how great is our God - praise Him that He ministered to you while you ministered to us. What a blessings this weekend in Omaha was for me. I cried and cried - and if you could only know how NOT LIKE me that is. I said to the Lord - I am not sure what is happening this isn't me and He said no, dear one - its me.
Praise you, Lord Jesus.
Blessings of love surround you.
Sr. Lynn
That's probably my favorite commisioning so far. Besides the one at 'Tell me How' in Houston!! :)
Thank you, Beth. You never cease to encourage me!
Happy Mother's Day!
Dearest Beth,
Thank you for sharing what God did in Omaha. Our Lord is faithful to meet us right where we are. I am glad He showed up BIG TIME in Omaha.
Looking forward to the video.
Let's keep looking to the One who calls us by name.
"He makes my feet like hinds' feet, And sets me upon my high places."
Psalm 18:33
God's Word IS Alive! When first hearing the text would be Philippians 4, is was somewhat disappointed that is was a passage with which I was so familiar. Boy was I wrong! Thank you Beth for sharing your gift of teaching so passionately. Even the familiar becomes new when God is in the house!
I am ready for a Revolution!
PTL - One of our group of 51 ladies accepted Christ on Saturday!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for those words. My precious mentor taught me to raise "Can Do" kids, so this little phrase in this commissioning brought tears to my eyes. This was the end of a very emotional day, one of those days that the "can do" just didn't show up!! God knew that I needed to hear this and I thank you once again for being God's megaphone to me.
Thank you Beth for the Commission. My mother has been given three months to live and there are many many very serious family issues regarding estates and her wishes.
This has a very deep and life changing effect on me that will not allow for the mourning that needs to come.
I will claim this Commission and trust in God and allow Him to work.
I would so appreciate my sisters praying for some important legal decisons that must be made.
Oh dear, I've got tears again for the umpteenth time from this blog. Jesus has just here recently given me a word - 'mighty warrior' - out of Judges 6. Thus, that 'commissioning' is just dear to me. Love you too Mrs. Beth
May you be able to be still so that He can do some 'tending to...'
So happy to hear the Lord showed up in Omaha. I was at the confewrence in Columbia a few weeks ago and it was great. I have a friend would would like to get Boone tickets if anyone has some they are not going to use. Need 2 or 3 tickets. The Lord he is good. church1780@yahoo.com
Mama Beth you are absolutely precious. A lot of people in my life (self included) seem to have gone through a season of hurts this semester at some point. I am sorry that you have experienced something of the sort as well! But KNOW that your SISTAS (mmm I still love that) are all over that prayer like cheese on a taco. ;)
So glad Omaha was the Jesus-show we prayed for. It is so encouraging to hear you speak of thousands of women who are so hungry for the Word and for Christ. To you, and all the other mother/sistas here, thanks for the times you've "mothered" us youngins through the blog. You ladies are a true treasure to our growing hearts. :)
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to you all!!
Oh for heavens sake ... I cried yesterday as I was holding the hands of my best friends and looking into their eyes repeating this commissioning ... and my eyes filled up again as I re-read it!
Thank you, Beth for loving the people of God like you do and for listening to our God when He says 'speak'!
Beth,
First let me say that one specific thing I prayed for this conference was that you would have a close encounter with God and as I read what you wrote it gave me chills. I will continue to pray over your hurts and trust and believe God to pour his healing touch over your heart. I absolutely loved the commission. I will print it out and place it in my Bible. I am so thankful for the 21 ladies who accepted Jesus into their hearts!! I could cry thinking about how God showed up and did what only he could do! I am tender to the fact that you are still ministering to all of us thru your hurts. That touches my heart. I know how hard it is to teach my small class when going thru health issues or hurts, or deep needs and I can't imagine how you feel speaking to thousands of women and pouring your heart out to all of us. Thank you seems silly to say, but thank you so much!! I am looking forward to seeing you in Boone in a few weeks. I have already been praying for this conference and I know God is already there waiting on us to get there. It's a miracle that I got tickets and I know God wants me there. You are such a blessing and so is your family and may God give you the biggest delight this week!!
I love you,
Patty
I am far from Omaha, Nebraska lol.
Beth, You need to come to Orlando! :)
Anyways, " True Christians will not only talk the talk, but walk the walk." this spoken by a very wise woman that I know that said this to me years ago.
Suffering is a gift, even if we feel like it could have been a lighter package lol.
God remains solid, even when everythingelse falls from beneath us.
And even when we feel that our Pastor's message is a major test, because it goes so long lol.
So whoever you are, wherever you are, never place God in a box, because He is far from human. People will let us down,Peoples lives will change, People will just plain change, God never will.
God will never really let us down.
I say that because we feel like He does sometimes, but He will answer back to bring us back to reality...
" I never gave up on you."
Remember that ladies, God reminded me of that recently and I wanted to share that with you!
From one of those "hanging on by a thread" this week,I can't tell you how relevant that commission is to me tonight. I love it when God sends those reminders. He is so good! All the time! Thank goodness it's through Christ that we can do all things and not have to depend on our own feeble selves.
Thank you for being obedient to what God calls you to do and being so sensitive to His leadings. It means so much to those you minister to. Thank you for being the vessel.
Beth-
I came to Omaha with a group of 32 women and I was the "leader of the group"--so when you said Friday night that I didn't have to feel responsible for the rest of my group...God whispered in my ear...uh, Jen, isn't that what I have been telling you?? :~)
It was a wonderful weekend!! I am a worrier. I have worried since my very first memory of my childhood. I have allowed Satan to toy with me for 32 years. I will be 33 in a couple of months and I will begin that year with the FREEDOM FROM WORRY and ANXIETY!! Praise His Holy name!!
Thank you for allowing God to use you and for being such a humble servant. I adore you and your ministry.
May God continue to bless your ministry, your family, and that precious grandson!!

i KNOW that's my ONLY chance...Christ in me, the Hope of Glory.....hanging on by a thread and praying for us all and leaving it to Dad
Beth-thank you from the bottom of my heart. I got a WORD and I got it LOUD Friday night!! God is good and does answer us!!! We here in the midwest LOVE you!!!!
Wow! I'm taping this baby to my bathroom mirror!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Love,
Kristen
Beth, I don't comment here often (rarely) but I just had to say tonight how much I appreciate your heart. You've been through so much lately yet you are so concerned about others. It is rare to see that kind of character in a person, not to mention someone as busy and notable as you.
Thank you for being real. Thank you for being so transparent to us and for always sharing what is on your heart in such loving ways through your bible studies and your speaking ministries. I hope you know how truly loved you are by so many.
That's all I had to say, I just felt like sharing my heart with you.
In Him and for His glory,
Janna
You know what, Beth? I always pray for you (and your staff)...daily...just like part of my family. But this particular week, I prayed for specifics over your extended family. God placed them on my heart...I'm not hanging there....I'm praying for others, too, but I wanted to tell you that God is bringing you to the minds of many because He knows your hurts and loves you so very, very much! I'm asking Him to give you the desires of your heart...that's my mother's day prayer for you.
Love you much in Him,
Holly
PS The Joy of the Lord is your strength.
Dear Beth,
Thank you so much for your powerful commission..... Personally, I felt it was like a 'clarion call' to wake up and shake off the things that would bring us down and defeat us.... and instead, go forward in the power of Christ!!
Happy Mother's Day!
Barbara
Thank you for posting that commissioning, Beth. I've been reliving past regrets and old hurts the past 2 weeks. I thought I was done with all that. I've been crying and praying and still old thoughts and images cropped up. I was beginning to feel like a failure. I needed your encouragement today! Thanks again. :o)
Thank you so much. Your words are so encouraging. I had to print it out and pin it up. I went through a spell of my own, and God, amazingly enough, continues to bless me through all my stuff. I get stressed beyond belief at the end of every semester and my thinking threatens to take me out every time. I struggle with conflicting thoughts. I try my best to hang on to the Word and inevitably let go at the same time. I question who I am, what I’m doing, where I’m going, and if it is all worth it. One of my dearest friends said something to me once that has been such a life line for me; she simply said “the enemy wouldn’t try so hard to take you out if God didn’t have your life marked for a bigger purpose.” I know I can, I know I will, and I know the journey will have gravel roads, but I’ll take you up on that commission!
Your meetings sound incredible, I'm glad you are blessed as much as I'm sure the people attending are. I wish I could be there for all of them…September’s coming though! Woo Hoo.
This commission is just what I needed to read. I praise God for you and how He is using your life. I am praying for you and your extended family. I am also thankful for this blog site.
"The clearest measure of being spiritually formed is how I impact those closest to me." Not only have you impacted thousands, Beth, but the impact on those closest to you brings such pleasure to our God. You are living out Galatians 4:19 - Christ formed in all of us. Just wanted to say thank you on this day---hope your Mother's Day was filled with His precious presence.
Beth,
You and your family have been on my heart and in my prayers...you are very special and very blessed of God..healing will come, but you can rest in the Lord and know He will sustain you! The commission was awesome..and really spoke to me also..things of life try to get us down and that commission shines out the Truth of God.
You are being lifted up by many and things will soon fall into place! I love you, SISTA!!
Delilah
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! Whoop! Whoop! Boy did God ever show up in Omaha. I watched the video and read the commissioning and can't help but feel wooed again. God revealed so many things this weekend. He has been doing some major gardening in my life. Pruning doesn’t always feel good, and it has caused some unnecessary worries, but I know in the end I will be more beautiful than before. Beth, thank you so much for ministering to us and for your obedience in doing so. You are amazing and your humility is an inspiration to me. I praise the Lord for the growth I can see in you. I am praying for you and your family my sista. I love you, but more importantly...God is blessed by you!

What a weekend! The Holy Spirit rocked that place! Before coming to the conference, I was struggling with a vocational decision. I truly have felt the Lord leading me out of my comfort zone in a secure job and to a job of ministry in our church. It's taken the Spirit a while to get my attention, but He has it now! On Thursday, I had an interview and sent an e-mail to my prayer partners asking for their prayers on my behalf for wisdom and peace. At the end of my e-mail, I included Phil 4:6. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and petition, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transends all understaning will guard you heart and mind in Christ Jesus." Well, there you have it. My attention was caught immediately. Then the singing starts.....I will follow, Alleluia....I'll say yes, Lord, Alleluia...... Enough said, I have a peace for the Spirit that is passing all understanding. Praise Him! He's going to start a Revolution...Whoo..Whoo! Looking back, the Lord has been busy at work preparing me for this 5 years ago. You, dear sister, have allowed the Holy Spirit to use yourself to ministered to me in the last year, starting at the Sioux Falls conference, then the "Belieive God" study, the "Jesus, the One and Only" study, and the Omaha conference. God is good...ALL the time! Thanks for sharing the secret...Christ in Me - eternal hope of glory! AMEN!
Beth,
I have to say it again. Thanks so much for being real. As I read your post on Omaha, what struck me and encouraged me was that you allowed God to minister through you despite your hurt and struggles. You went forth and taught and ministered all the while having a broken heart. Thanks for sharing that with us. Being in ministry, it's easy to feel that we can't "do" ministry when we are hurting or frustrated or struggling. But somehow I think that it's in those times God can mightily work! Beth, I say to you - YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS IN CHRIST. WHEN YOU ARE WEAK, HE IS STRONG. YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE. AND GOD IS AT WORK IN YOU AND THROUGH YOU.
I thank you for your willingness to allow God to work through you. You are a blessing. May God bring you the comfort, healing, restoration and strength that you need. I know He will.
Sweet Beth,
Thank you for the commissioning...it falls right in with what God is saying to me in this "very stretching period" of my life. And do know precious sister, that I am praying for you.
You bless so many...may you be blssed even more in return.
Dear Beth, Praying you had a great Mother's Day. I Praise God how He lovingly ministered to your hurt while you were ministering to so many others. What an Awesome God we have. I pray you have rest and refreshment in our Precious Savior today. In Jesus love Kathy Knoblock
...and then while grasping this thread so tightly Kutlass' Stong Tower lyrics are softly echoing through my mind...they become louder and louder...."You are my strong tower, Shelter over me Beautiful and mighty Everlasting King"......and I thought it was only a thread I was hanging on to!
Dear Beth and girls,
This commission is perfect for me as anxiety is my number one struggle. I am not understanding the part about "Start thinking about what you are thinking about" Can you explain it? I am totally blessed by your ministry-thank you!!!!!(lots of exclamation points)
Beth,
I'm glad that Omaha was so good for you as well as all who attended. That is a great commission, I wish that I had been there so that I knew all that was behind it. Would you please post the commission from Albuquerque? I was there and it was so good that I want to read it again and again. Thank you! Love, Su from CO
I wasn’t at the Omaha conference, but I’m going to be at the Deeper Still Conference in September. I’m counting down the days…
Beth, I pray not only for you but the women who stand behind you, beside you or wherever and do the other ministry work so you can share God’s word. I work for a ministry, and I know how ministries are attacked by the enemy and what can happen from within when hearts are hardened. How the enemy delights in destroying once God-loving, God-fearing ministries. I’m covering you and the others, to include Travis Cottrell and the rest of the band, in prayer daily. May God keep you absolutely smothered with HIS grace, with HIS love.
As you stated, we all have hurts, we all have baggage to deal with, and no one has it all together. But, if we stand hand-in-hand, heart-to-heart, mind-to-mind with each other and FOR God, we will be victorious on this Earth.
The past week has been a very dark time for me. Philippians 4: 4-13 is just what I’ve needed to gain that God perspective back into my heart and mind. My battle is won or lost in my mind. God’s mercy and grace are unending as he deals with this child of His.
May you all be blessed daily, may you all rest in His arms..
Julie
Thanks so much for sharing these commissions. I was hanging up my husband's clothes this morning and started to worry about school... then these lines came to me, "Dump your anxiety, And start praying like mad." So I did! I'm believing God! Thank you :)
Beth, WOW!! I love when HE just shows up and puts us all back together. Wonder why we forget so often? Keeping you and the whole team in prayer, as I know without a doubt the enemy is on the prowl. Rejoice is the Lord...HIS return is getting closer, or the enemy wouldn't be so loud! Thanks for the commision and I am taking it to heart..thanks for the encouragement, Praying protection for you and yours. God is good, and always faithful (all the time).
I was having just a horrible, horrible day at work today, and I thought - I need a strong word today! I said ok Beth - please give it to me and saw this entry! I thanked the Lord for your blog entry today - I praise Him because He always gives me the encouragement I need at the exact right time. God Bless you for your ministry sister!!
Susan
p.s. I'm prayin for your hurts too
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Cor. 2:9
I stand amazed at how God will use us creatures here below to bring Him so much Glory!! Man, our God is an awesome God!!!
Beth those words too brought me to tears. I think no matter where we are in life we can always profess that truth. We are warriors for Christ. God's daughters - princess is our name. :)
I also pray for each of my sistas and I am fascinated how I do not know any of you personally but how God will lay each of you on my heart at different times as if to say "one of your blog sistas need you to lift her up" and so I do - praise Him!! We are one family here to lift each other up!! I am so grateful for all of you!! God bless!
Dearest Beth,
Your commission helped my daughter today more than you will ever know!

Beth, Get ready this one is both funny and supernatural...talk about the unexpected! A WAY cool thing God did! I soooooo can relate to what you said about God performing in me THAT which is impossible for me to accomplish alone...I quite my job 1 1/2 year ago making a ton of money.....stepped out and started an area wide women's non-denominational Bible study called The Women of the Word, scared to DEATH...thought for sure God had the wrong woman! A year an a hlaf later 60-150 wommen a month come!(www.thewomenoftheword.com)As I have continued to prepare for our next event, I had EEEEEverything go wrong in preparation. Health things, computer viruses, crazy schedules, but I just kept refusing to get anxious about it.. Looked forward to the weekend then my car was stolen at the hotel I was staying in. I had your praying God's word card plastered all over the inside of my car. The thief got my car out of the valet attendant, was so mad at the scriptures, he wadded them and ripped them up. Could not even drive out the driveway, but in circles! Then he went inside the hotel and TRASHED their kitchen!I was able to witness to three people as a result got back just in time to hear you start Sat. morning and was NOT ANXIOUS!! Lord we are talking miracle!
My God showed up through you girl and He IS so far beyond our ability! The Lord used you as you can obviously see from the responses! May God Almighty bless you wash over you with mercy and grace and love. YOU ROCK! NO MATTER what keep going!!!!!
I just saw the blog and all I read was the bottom portion. Soooooo needed that today! I've been in an unhappy place for the past 2 days and really celebrate hearing some encouragement! Thanks for helping me to smile again, Father!

Ah, Dear Beth, I have never before left a comment here, but I must after the weekend in Omaha.... I told a friend that if you had called me the day before the conference and asked me what God had been impressing on me lately so you could talk about it, your teaching would've been exactly the same as it was!! You touched on every deep and tender area in my heart as well as some really tough ones that I have never before told another soul. Thank you for your heart, thank you for your humor, and thank you for following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Praising the God who is the best secret to share!
Beth,
I had so much fun in Omaha. You did a wonderful job. I got so much out of everything you talked about. Your ministry to women through God is amazing. You have touched so many lives.
I was so excited when I got on this blog today and watched the recap video. I saw me, my friend Natalie and my Mom Tammy. I guess it pays to get up at 5:00am to get floor seats to see Beth Moore.
Thanks again hope to see you again.

So I wasn't in Omaha, but man...does that commission speak LOUD AND CLEAR to me. I mean you might as well have said "Hey Cynthia..this is for you!"
So, thank you for posting it here -I think I need to pin it to my sweater. :)
My worry is my biggest struggle. You keep calling me on it too. Calling me to believe God, and hand over my greatest loves to the Lord.
Thanks for being you and for sharing your heart and soul. You have to come back to OKC sometime. I was receovering from surgery last year and missed you.
I hope your Mother's Day was blessed and that your soul feels revived.
love you

Dear Beth,
What a miracle this weekend was!
I am so thankful that you continue to allow Him to redeem every pain you experience, so that He is glorified and so the rest of us are sharpened from your "iron". I can hear Him say, "That's My girl!" and can see His joyous eyes looking affectionately on you.
I handed Travis a scribbled note on Friday night as I blubbered something like "thank you". Poor guy. Probably thought I was a nut case -- I simply could NOT stop crying those tears of joy! My Bible was actually wet.
I was diagnosed with panic disorder just days before the conference. Missing the godly wisdom of my husband in Iraq, and with Satan whispering in my ear, I felt the diagnosis was a irreversable curse -- a death blow. Despair fell on me with smothering weight, and I wondered it would be better if God would just let me die.
The initial media presentation of Jesus' names and the following Scripture began the flooding shower of hope God used to cleanse my mind and heart. Then delightful you got up there and spoke LIFE over us. Oh Beth, praise God! I haven't had hope and joy like this in years!
I went forward for prayer during the break on Saturday -- not for healing this time, but for the grace and strength needed to obey Him and stop worrying, despite the panic disorder. Thank God His calling is always beyond us. I would have stayed stuck in my own muck otherwise. I can hardly wait to see how He will use this weakness to bring a love for Him I never would have known otherwise!!
What a gift your ministry has been to me, Beth. I so look forward to the day when we can sit down over coffee in Heaven and just enjoy our King together.
Thank you,
Joy Bradley
ps - Thank you to Travis for being a bridge to God's throne rather than a distraction! When he leads, I forget Travis is even up there...it's that good...that effective. I'm giving him the highest compliment I can think of when I say he disappears so that all I see is Christ...magnified and in shocking glory!
That commission is AWESOME! I'm so sorry that I don't live closer to Nebraska...I would have l-o-v-e-d to have been there!
Those verses are some of my favorites. A couple of years ago, Hubby and I recovered the couch of my childhood--one that was covered in the world's ugliest fabric, known as "indestructium." Before we covered the frame, I got out my sharpie and dressed the wood with the Word. A portion of the Scripture you taught on last weekend is hidden inside my couch, to be discovered--I hope--by someone else someday. I pray it brings them encouragement!
You have no idea how much that commission means to me! I wish so much I could have been in Omaha last weekend. I can tell the subject matter would have been just what I need! I am going to print your words out and put them in my closet so I can read them every morning before I start my day.
Beth,
I was blown away by you in Omaha!
This my first time to see you and you rocked my world!
We are flowers in gods garden, god feeds us with his word. In my little garden, weeds had started to grow real big, they consumed me by me worring and focusing on them. With all the negitive thoughts the weeds were chocking out my flower! The weeds were so tall and big I was barely able to focus on god. I was consumed and allowed the weeds of life to get a stong hold over me.
After this weekend, I have plucked out all the weeds in my garden. I can now enjoy the sun and water and gods clarity with out those pesky weeks sucking the life out of me.
I will never allow the weeds of life consume me. I am going to pluck them out the second they sprout. I am feeding my spirit by thinking about what ever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable and excellent.
Thank you Beth you have no idea what your word has done for me.

Beth,
I love the last four lines of that commission!! I might just stick them on some sticky notes all over my home! I am not a wimp, I am a warrior. High time I started acting like one!
While I'm on the subject of warriors (though slightly "off topic"), there is a group of them I think you aught to know about. My friend Blythe is an officer in the Navy. She is currently deployed to Baghdad where she is leading a group of 30 of her fellow military women through "Breaking Free." :) A mighty warrior in more ways than one.
Love ya, Beth!

HI Beth and all a LPM! Today I feel like a warrior!! I wasn't at Omaha but I was in PHX when you came in DEC. God has done such a mighty work in me! I wish you could see and know how gracious He is to me! I love you all and i love the work all of you do! I have benefited from your obeience and service. God's fruit is amazing! Inherent in His fruit is the seed for even more fruit... it just keeps multipling in goodness. What an abundant God of blessing, mercy and love we have!!
Beth,
I just logged on to leave a prayer request and read your prayer from the Omaha meetings. Praise Him, it was just what I needed! We found out Friday that my 45 year old husband has stage 4 metastatic cancer of the bile ducts in his liver. We have four young boys from 5-15. The doctors odds are 5-6% chance for healing with chemo and maybe 6-8 months of life. What a shock. What a chance for the glory of God to be made known! I believe I was given a promise in prayer from the word of God on Saturday when I was directed to John 11:4(NIV)"When he heard this, Jesus said, "This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it." Oh, Beth! My head was very much in need of this prayer. My heart remains unwavering in the promise I was given. Thank you for all you do for women of God everywhere. I have been abundantly blessed by your studies. Pray for us . . .
Hair parted in two and blown away by the SPIRIT of the LORD...JESUS changed me again this weekend. We had an appointment and He met me there! Thank you servants of the Lord for surrendering to his command this past weekend! I kept praying Lord help my sister make it to Omaha, please don't let her cancel. WOW, thanks! I wanted you to know what kind of people live out here in the midwest and hear your perspective. (I was born and raised in Houston, TX- transported to Lincoln, NE by the LORD.) I just love to hear what you think about these women!
Miss Beth, do you ever plan to come to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania? You've got a lot of sistahs here who would love to get to see you up close and personal.
I have joined Weight Watchers (-16 lbs!) and am working on gettin' my hair real big. Oh, yeah.

I had posted a note about Omaha, on the blog where Amanda posted pics of the crowd. Everyone is getting to hear about our (my 18 year old) time there...a lot! Tonight when my 9 year old daughter and I prayed at her bedtime, we prayed for you Beth. I told her that your daddy had died recently and that other things were making you sad. She asked Jesus "to help Beth with her sorrowness". I just wanted you to know, we care and we prayed for you tonight.
Dear Sweet Beth,
You are amazing! The God you and I love supplies you with everything you need, as you need it, to teach the women at these conferences. The commission in Columbia was so powerful for me, and this Scripture is one of my favorites. So your commission in Omaha is wonderful to have, and I know it resonated with all of the women at the Omaha Conference.
You have been blessed to bless others, and we are so unbelievably grateful for your perseverance. The Lord has been giving me the word "rest" for you since I was at the Columbia LPL Conference. It is what I pray for you....to run away, if only for an hour, into your Heavenly Father's arms, and let Him rock you in His heavenly rocking chair as He pours His perfect peace over you.
I love your blog and I am so grateful for your ministry. Have a blessed week with unexpected lovely blessings.
Bless ya'll... My husband and I lived in Texas for 3 months when he was in tech school in the AF many years ago and then we spent the next 3 1/2 years in the very SW corner of OK. So, I, a "northerner by birth" began to speak with a "drawl" (or so my family said). We loved our time in the South and had a wonderful church, which became our family away from home.
I was blessed to be able to attend the LPM conference in Sioux Falls, SD along with several other gals from our church. We've made a number of Beth's studies available to our local women and they've been enthusiastically received.
20 of us were able to attend in Omaha and what a tremendous blessing. I LOVED the acronym - Omnipotent Merciful Advocate Here Appear. How appropriate.
What a wonderful teaching on the effects of anxiety and why we must turn our "problems" over to the LORD. Praying with thanksgiving and thinking on whatever things are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think on such things. It was fun memorizing Scripture together. Such an important reminder to all of us that we MUST hide the Word of God in our hearts, so that IT becomes the "default" message in our minds when difficult circumstances arise....rather than our own negative thoughts or harassing suggestions from the enemy of our souls. Keeping our focus on Jesus will give us peace in the midst of difficult situations. Not that we won't have them. But, in spite of them.
For the sister who asked about the phrase in the commissioning to "start thinking what you're thinking about." Beth reminded us about the mind/body connection and how what we think affects how we act. "As a man thinks within himself,so is he." Prov. 23:7 What we think becomes how we act. Therefore, it's extremely important that we think properly. We must think about what we are thinking. If we find that we're frequently caught up in thoughts of negativism, criticism, unforgiveness, worry, etc., it's a warning sign that we need to return to the truth, which begins with God. Then we'll be able to experience true contentment which comes from being in Christ - the hope of glory.
Oh, and by the way, don't get caught up in the world's answer. A recently-published book called the Secret promises to reveal the answer to contentment. Hearing a few paragraphs from the book brings an admonition from Col. 2:8 to my mind, "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human traditions and the basic principles of the world rather than on Christ."
Yes, we in the Midwest have been forever changed by LPM, and we give God the glory, as we know you do. We, too, desire to be vessels used by God to spread His Word and minister His love.
Loving Him more every day, Vicky in Iowa :)
Dear Beth,
I was in Omaha last weekend to see you and what a weekend I had! I have done three of your studies since last September and then I found out that my husband and three children bought me a ticket to attend Living Proof Live in Omaha for Mother's Day. We made a weekend out of it, seeing as though it was a five hour drive from Columbia, MO.
I can't even tell you how amazing it felt for me being in a group of women whose hearts were so full and spilling over.
About three hours after leaving the Qwest Center, I received a phone call which made me immediately start to panic. I turned to my husband and started reciting Phil. 4:4-13. I was NOT about to go back into that mode of anxiety. It is so hard to fight it off. I just praise God that you taught me how to use the tools that God gave me. Thank you so much! Your ministry means the world to me.
Still hanging on,
Anne Weyrauch

I am a missionary in Venezuela and although I am never able to attend any of the events (and oh how I want to!)I love reading the blogs and seeing what God is doing around the United States. Thanks so much for starting this blog and sharing the comminsionings with everyone. What a blessing it is to me. I do not know anyone on the blog but it does make me feel connected to other sistas!
Beth~
Just wanted you to know what a wonderful blessing you are in my life. It was so appropriate that I came forward to accept Jesus Christ at this conference. I was surrounded by my friends and fellow Beth Moore bible study mates. When I made that long trek from the back of the arena (and my girl friend knew where I was going, not to the bathroom - so insightful she is)I couldn't get there fast enough. The reason it was so appropriate was that I came to know how God can work in my life through your studies. I had never done a bible study until Patriarchs. I have now completed A Heart Like His and Daniel. And have grown in my faith each time. So thank you and bless you~
My two friends and I, from Colorado, attended this conference and we talked about how fired up we were for Jesus for weeks after!! I remembered the verse you taught us there (Phil. 4:8) so well that while a man was breaking into my house a while back I was able to pray it over and over and over (with Phil. 4:6-7) until the police arrived. I wouldn't have known it except for the conference! This whole ministry rocks!!!
I'm replying to this older post in May of 2007. I had no idea you were here in Omaha! I moved here from California 3 years ago. While in CA (in about 2003 or 2004) I attended the Women of Faith conference in Sacramento which was just outside of Roseville where I lived. The event was phenomenal and so uplifiting. I so wish I had know you were here this past summer with LPM, I would have attended. I don't know how I missed hearing about this...we are a small town after all...only 400,000 people! I think I will have to keep checking the LPM website or would this be announced in an online newletter?
Looking forward to your next visit to Omaha. I hope it's in 2008!
