What a blessing!! My church attended in a big scattered group. I invited my sister from Austin. She had to bring her nursing 9 month old and I had to bring my 24 month old. Dear Beth, There were so many things that God said to me last weekend, but the thing about His using some people to "kill us" was a very timely message! Travis said you all thought it was 1999 when you were last in Alb. It was actually Feb of 2000 because I attended with my daughter and her husband was back home asking my husband for her hand in marriage while we were at LPL at Hoffmantown. They were married shortly after. Thank you for relying totally on Jesus to get you through the weekend. My sister also had a "healing" through my father's death 6 years ago and something you said gave me great insight into the whole ordeal. I pray you have been getting some great rest since Saturday and God's ministering angels have been ministering to you and your family.
Can I just tell you that I am loving this! It really helps me pray more faithfully to see the fruit of these events. I know God hears the prayers because His blessing is so evident but seeing it takes it to another level. Thanks so much for posting these. I cannot watch without tearing up. Oh how precious is it to see so many women together who love the Lord. It is so wonderful and inspiring. May He continue to work in each precious heart. God bless you! Thanks for letting me serve in this way alongside you! Much Love, Angela :)
The Daniel song! Thanks for sharing Amanda. Makes me ache for the next visit in Michigan. (Or, at this point, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Southern Ontario....)
Wow! What a powerful video clip. Although I didn't get to attend this Living Proof, just seeing the images brought me right back to my own experiences. I can hear the music, see the hands raised and hear Beth's beautiful voice. Praise the Lord for Living Proof Live.
Just wanted to say how thankful I am to God for Beth and her studies. I had panic disorder, was agoraphobic, had recently recovered from severe depression (by the grace and help of Jesus) and had generalized and social anxiety when I attended my first Bible study, Believing God, trembling and scared, armed with my Xanax, and seated by the nearest exit. After 3 weeks into that study I experienced peace--an unexplainable peace. It was such a blessing. I wanted more and to know my God more. Through Beth's sharing of how she had a quiet time, I learned how to have a quiet time--every day and how to pray honestly to God. After doing Breaking Free on my own (checked out the tapes from my church's library) I put into practice praying God's Word against my stronghold of fear. I tried to take my thoughts captive with God's Word. I also kept praying my heart to God, giving Him my panic and anxiety and seeking His will for my life. I also bought Beth's Life Altering Works of the Holy Spirit teaching CDs. After a few months, during a panic attack, I grabbed my verses to pray instead of my xanax bottle, and when I had prayed and thanked God for each verse (about 20 cards) my panic attack stopped. Praise God! I had another attack a couple of weeks later, prayed halfway through my cards and the panic stopped! The next attack I prayed one (!) card and the panic stopped. If you've ever experienced intense fear and a feeling of evil surrounding you, then you know how blessed it was to have it go away instantly. Jesus became my knight in shining armor! My panic attacks became less frequent after that and were nothing more than anxious feelings--no more intense fear or evil--and the feelings went away after I prayed. Today I am panic free and have been for a year and am off xanax. I've been facilitating Beth's Bible studies at my church for 2 years, teach Sunday School, and sing in the choir. If you had told me I'd be doing these things 3 years ago, I would've told you you were crazy! Our God is awesome! Our Lord is our Champion and Defender! There is nothing too hard for Him! Thank you so much, Beth, for encouraging me through your Bible studies to believe God, cling to Jesus, and take my thoughts captive to Christ. God's Word has renewed my mind, healed my emotions, strengthened my spirit, and totally transformed my life! Glory to you, Lord! All glory goes to you!
d"Praise God JONI !!!" 12 years ago Fear and Panic are what brought me to my knees and to the Lord! Nothing is a scarier feeling then thinking you are losing your mind! God is SO GOOD!!! I PRAISE Him for your healing! : ) Thank you for SHARING! I LOVE my index cards too!!!! : ) "We have not been given a spirit of fear, but of POWER, LOVE and a SOUND MIND!!!! 2 Timothy 1:7 Thank you Jesus for using this ministry! I PRAISE YOU for Beth her family and everyone at Living Proof! God Bless - Emmy : )
Thanks for the recap videos with the great music! I can't wait to see the one from Boone! My daughter will be there and this will be her 1st Living Proof Live conference. She's also determined to meet you Beth. So be ready for a very extraverted 27 year old MK clutching her "Voices of the Faithful" book to find you.
As I watched the dear faces come across the screen, my heart was deeply moved. Sista jennyhope's words could have been my own. "Hungry Lord we are hungry! Please keep pouring yourself all over these events!"
Ever since we studied Daniel last Fall, the song, Your Word is Life to Me, has so blessed my heart. God is using Travis in a mighty way. Listening as he leads in worship always ushers me to the feet of the Lord. What a talented devoted servant.
Last night things heated up in Iraq. My nephew and several friends are in the midst of it. Sistas, please remember our troops in your prayers today.
I still feel like I'm in a daze. I've been so blessed and ministered to this year by Living Proof Ministeries. Of course, Beth is the most visable vessel God is using (and how precious and sweet and lovely and ....I could go on and on trying to describe the virtues of a woman who truly seeks after our one and only God, to really know Him and is so willing to give herself to serve us), but Amanda, through this blog and devotions, and I know the entire staff, including Linda, the accountant, through their diligence to do what God has called them to do at this time in His plan, you all have blessed me by being obedient to our Father. (I only specifically mention Linda because I know sometimes people don't understand how this type of job can be a ministry, but I know it is.)
I was tremendously blessed by being able to attend LPL in Albuquerque. One of my friends and I drove from Fayetteville, AR, 12 hours straight across I-40, and I do mean straight. Thankfully she was as eager to attend as I so she didn't mind getting to the center 3 hours before the doors opened to get in line. As we stood there in the sun on Friday afternoon and then again in the coolness of the early morning Saturday, I was overwhelmed by the number of ladies, not women or broads or girls or any other type of description placed upon females of our day, but women of dignity and elegance, who would gather 2 - 3 hours before an event, just like many teenagers do for a concert or some other fun event. These ladies and I came early and stood or sat on the concrete, anticipating and expecting to come into the presence of our Lord and to experience sharing our love and worship for our God together and to hear from Him again and to gain knowledge of Him. Some of that was going on in the lines before the event itself got started. We were not disappointed!
Thank you so much for your diligence and for providing events that help us take note of the time when God speaks a certain word to us. Thankfully through Beth's gift of speaking and bringing the Word to me through the Bible studies and the books she's written, I am growing in my own relationship with God and His Word. But events, a time set apart for a particular purpose, help me to remember, to place a marker or monument so to speak of the moving of God in my life. I'm not sure I can imagine the logistics of what these events require, but please know that all the efforts and hard work it takes is so appreciated!
Does anyone know what the one song was that Travis sand on Saturday morning before the first session? The part that I remember is where they start singing the names/characteristics of God and the word would flash on the screen as they would say it....ANYONE? It was AMAZING! SO MOVING! POWERFUL!! BEAUTIFUL!! I can't describe the feeling it gave me...
I have searched and searched high and low and cannot seem to find it! HELP ME PLEASE!! Thanks! Stephanie stephsblogemail@yahoo.com
Thanks for sharing this Amanda. If I can't be there, at least I can get a glimpse of what I missed. I've been to a couple of conferences and it always brings me back to hear Travis!
I have to share something funny... My almost 2 year old and I have praise and worship in the living room, in the car, just about anywhere we can pop in a cd. Yesterday as I viewed the recap I quickly scurried for some of my Travis cds. As I popped in his newest one..we broke out the tambourine and began to praise. It was intense. So intense that I had to break out the deodorant (SERIOUSLY)! Well, I wanted to hear a song so I just played the recap video again and immediately Morgan threw up her hands (in praise if you ask me)! I love when the Lord ordains some praise out of her! Some people may think it boring that we will be praising Him forever but if it is even a pinch of our praisin' in the living room I can't wait!! PRAISE HIM FOR Joni's testifying to the power of the WORD!
Thanks for being faithful to share these recaps. I love to watch them and see all of the women's faces from each city.
I was watching this video yesterday. I had it on for about a 30 seconds then closed my browser. My 6 year old daughter came flying from the other room yelling “Turn that back on! Turn that back on!! I LOVE that song! I heard that song at my church!!” She had indeed heard it a couple of weeks ago as our choir did our Spring Concert and Travis performed this song as part of the night’s celebration. He also did “Annie’s Song” and his classic, “Moses.”
Well, I had to play the song again — twice, as a matter of fact. I then played “Annie’s Song” for her while she danced around the living room. Then she looked at me and said, “Now Momma, play ‘m-m-m-m-m-Moses!’”
How interesting that she would say that “Your Word is Life to Me” is one of her favorite songs! I had just prayed earlier in the day for her (it was her birthday) and said, “LORD, thank you for my sweet Lindsey. I pray that this is the year that she will fall head over heels in love with You and choose to follow close after you for the rest of her days. LORD, let her learn to love Your Word for it is life to her.”
I love that my children are starting to love the things of God, but I so want them to love His Word. This little snippet from our life just reminded me that I need to step up praying every day that they will desire Truth and get Wisdom by reading God's Word!
To get a good laugh...doing the " Daniel" study, my group couldn't figure out what the lyrics " Word is life to me" were found; I later pointed it out that it was the beginning, and they all were like, " No way." it was funny.
And one more little thing; cause God is cute like this. I was walking Clearwater Beach in FL today, and thought I found a shark tooth, I was like " Hey, this could be a shark tooth", and then I walk a couple more steps look down, and sure enough find one; the one I was holding turned out not to be lol. I felt like God was saying to me. " Ang, what you have isn't a shark tooth, let me show you a real one." LOL. God is awesome! (Hopefully He will heal my soon to be painful sunburn lol)
I attended the LP Live event in Spokane, WA a few years ago. I was in my Bible Study this morning and God reminded me of the very thing God spoke through Beth at that event. "Laser Focus."
Watching the Albuquerque video just brought back to my mind the entire teaching Beth presented and served as a powerful confirmation of the message God is speaking to my heart.
Thank you for your faithfulness to seek God first and to share with us what He shares with you.
Blessings and Prayers poured out for you and your ministry.
I attended the conference in Albuquerque with 5 of my best friends and I cannot tell you how much it meant to me. This was my first Beth Moore conference but certainly not the last. God works in wonderful ways.
I would like to know what happened to Beth's yard man, is he still in Iraq? Also, I looked for the names of the members of the praise team but couldn't find them, they all were amazing. All 3 Travis CD's that were purchased during the conference have touch me so. Thank you. All I can say is God Bless everyone who has answered His calling and brought this magnificent feeling to so many women and a few men too.
Beth I attended one of your conferences in New Jersey a few years ago and they sang a song I thought was called the "The Shackle Song". One of the lines was "take these shackles off my feet so I can dance, I just wanna praise you, I just wanna praise you". What is the proper name of the song as I loved it a lot but can't seem to find it anywhere.
Awesome! Albuquerque was the first time I have been to or heard Beth speak. I came and sat there not ready for the truths that I was about to hear and for the first time my heart understood who Jesus really was in my life. Now every morning I meet my Jesus before getting up and desire to know Him more.
It's Thursday and I'm still dancing in a Most High-high from last weekend's AlbuQWERKie - as Beth called it - seminar. (So true, Beth, and how was that green chili?)What a JOY to spend it with two very dear things to me:JESUS and WOMEN!(Thank You, Lord)Somehow I was chosen to be a volunteer for the seminar.I loved working with the LifeWay girls.I'm not much of morning person, but I had no problem waking up at five to be at the convention center by 6:30 for this.Totally freaked my husband out.LOL.I couldn't wait to see what God was gonna do Saturday morning after Friday evenings service.I was able to sit fairly close to the stage.I've joked that I received ripple effects of the Spirit around Beth, but that's not true.HE WAS THERE!And had I been sitting in the back of the room,I know I would have received the same blessing. One could feel the shackles and chains breaking.I felt so near the Lord that I half-expected Him to just take me home right then and there. This seminar will go down as a life memory for me.THANK YOU BETH! Oh.....Thank Travis too! Goodness, he tops Josh Grobin any day. ~Dancing.....
Dearest Beth, Words cannot describe the amazing work God did in Albuquerque . . . What an ultimate and unbelievable example you are as a true and genuine representation of Jesus to the world. God has truly blessed you with a contagious passion for Him, and such a kind and genuine spirit for others. I am working on letting God "work in" and discovering what that is, so I can "work it out" for His purpose!! Much Love and Many Blessings! Shanda Hasse, Albuquerque, NM
I was working the will call table on Friday night.A woman - in what I determined to be her late twenties - approached the table a bit frazzled and with tears coming down her cheeks said,"My boyfriend doesn't want me here so he tore up my ticket." She went on to say,"I know Satan is trying to keep me away, but is there anyway I can still get in?" I was so happy to show her that her name was on the list as proof of purchase and that she could go on in.I also told her that she was now safely in the presence of the Almighty and I gave her a hug.
I had to then say a quick thank you to our Lord for my precious husband who not only blessed my attendance and purchased my ticket for me way back in September of '06, but he also took some time off from work so that I could be worry-free of our children while I was at the conference.
That young lady is still on my mind.I didn't record her name to memory and I'll probably never see her again on earth. It made me wonder what kinda of stories are out there and the hurdles to which some women face just to get to conference.
I appreciate Joni's sharing on fear and panic. I have suffered with such things, including IBS for along time. Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes not, but it doesnt keep me from serving at church and I adore things like public speaking. However, these things are not always easily licked. Having brought someone with me to the ABQ conference who didnt have these problems before but has them now, I just want to say please keep praying for people if you know they have these problems. The ABQ crowds became too much for my friend, and we both had trouble with some back pain that Friday night. We didnt make the Saturday conference. I'm very sad I didnt, she didnt seem to mind as much. People need to realize there is opposition to this type of event, some people cannot handle this sort of thing well (Praise God for videos) and remember to pray for people who have these issues. Because mine is not severe, and because I want to help, I participate on an IBS bulletin board. We have many many people in this world who will not leave their homes, and unfortunately the only option they have is meds because quite often they dont know God or His Word. I pray God will give me and my friend a chance to see Beth again one day. I strongly believe something held us back, especially her because she already has some of this opposition in her life. Until then videos will have to suffice! And we dont have to go anywhere to have an audience with our king.
For those that are wanting to order the songs that Travis sung @ Albuquerque,go to his website, www.traviscottrell.com. They are on the CD titled "Living Proof Live 3: The Lamb has Overcome." The cost is $17.50 shipping included.

To anonymous who asked about the shackle song....
The name of the song is Shackles, and it is on Travis' "Beloved Disciple" CD. I love this song too...!
Dearest Beth,
Words cannot describe the amazing work God did in Albuquerque . .

One story about the ABQ Conference:
I'm praying for them....

DeDee in ABQ
