Travis Cottrell

I just got word that Travis Cottrell's web site has crashed from all the post-simulcast traffic! The number of visitors to his site yesterday was more than 300% the average. If you've been trying to visit his web site, don't give up! It should be up and running by Monday afternoon.

By the way, wasn't the praise team incredible? Praise God for giving them such amazing gifts to lead us to the throne in worship!

Amanda,

Travis and the Praise Team were amazing! It is so obvious that every member of that team is "Sold Out" to Jesus. Wonderful music and incredible voices!
I WILL be purchasing his new CD this week. Tryed to buy it at the simulcast on Saturday but they were sold out. Hope there's some left to buy out there somewhere!
I have always loved Christian Contemporary music, but have never realized how important it is to our deliverance. Thank you Beth for that insight!

I absolutely LOVE Travis and the Praise Team. They were AWESOME Saturday. Whenever I talk about a LPL event, I tell everyone how wonderful the worship & praise music is. I just wish he was the worship leader at my church. They are so Spirit-filled, the Holy Spirit overflows from them onto all of us. Thanks be to God!

I purchased his latest C.D. while at the simulcast. I was soooooo glad to find the theme song from the Daniel study on it. It hits me in the pit of my stomach each time I hear it. I am glad people are supporting the work of the Lord.

AS I AWOKE THIS MORN TO A TYPICAL,RAINY NORTHWEST DAY, I HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON...THE THOUGHT OCCURRED TO ME THAT IF I PUT UP BOTH OF MY ARMS, MY LOVING PAPA COULD REACH DOWN AND GRAB (YANK)THIS LAZY SISTA OUT OF BED! I REALIZED, WITH BOTH ARMS IN THE AIR (MY HUSBAND WAS ALREADY UP) THAT I WAS IN PERFECT WORSHIPPING POSITION!THE SONGS FROM THE PRAISE TEAM WERE FLOODING MY MIND. IT ALSO OCCURRED TO ME THAT IT WOULD BE HIS DELIGHT TO GRAB HOLD OF BOTH OF MY ARMS AS I HAVE BEEN IN A PIT FOR SOOO LONG AND IT IS SOOO DEEP, MY WEAK ARM MIGHT JUST COME RIGHT ON OUT OF IT'S SOCKET!:) THERE ARE GOING TO BE WELL OVER 1 MILLION AFFECTED BY THIS TIMELY,HOLY,GOD-BREATHED MESSAGE. I THINK I AM 1,000,001! GLORY!

I was so incredibly blessed by the worship on Saturday. From the moment Travis opened his mouth, I knew this man was a man of worship. He is sold out to truly worshiping God. It wasn't just the music, but the words the Lord laid on his heart that truly ministered to me.

(Reposting my comment from earlier, because I hate it when I have typo's!! -- :))

I LOVE Travis and his praise team, too! I get the privilege of singing with Travis in our church choir most Sundays that he is in town and his heart and love for God matches right up there with his talent! And can I just say that Julie Goss (little auburn hair singer from Saturday) is one of my favorite people in the whole world??? She opens her mouth and the Spirit just fills our church, but I get the privilege of sitting with her at prayer group on most Fridays and she also can pray the house down -- Such a talent and such a powerful, on-fire heart for her LORD!!! I LOVE YOU, GIRL!! (I hope she reads this!) wink wink!!

Does anyone know what the name of the last praise song was called? The one that Beth said was based on Psalms 145, I think.

FOREVERMORE from Travis' new CD "FOUND" is the praise song you were referring to from Psalms. It is quite powerful. I've heard him do it live at a Living Proof Conference with an accompanying video and it was overwhelming.

Beth got up at this conference (in West Virginia) and explained that her daughter, Melissa, has some concerns over some of the praise songs of today and their lack of biblical accuracy. Beth said that after she and Melissa heard Travis do this song, she turned to Melissa and said, "Is that enough Bible for you, darling?" I thought that was cute!

I was a site coordinator. I kept telling everyone how awesome Travis was- they had no frame of reference. Guess what, we sold out of his CD very quickly. We wished we could have ordered the material differently. The Lady in charge of resources predicted we would run out of the CDs before anything else.

We had 550 women at our church -it was awesome! I couldn't believe what God was doing. He gave me a vision 4 years ago about filling our Family Life Center with women listening to Beth Moore. It was mid-Feb before I realized what He was up to!!!! I had almost forgotten that vision! God is so awesome!!! I can't believe he uses someone like me and blesses me by drawing me close enough to see Him work! I never want to forget who is doing the work - It isn’t me! I just want to serve Him the rest of my days. I love Him so much, thank you Beth for teaching me!

Oh, guess what we had a salvation!!!! Several rededications, many women praying together all over the facility. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried!

I pray it was taped (I need a copy!) - I didn't get to see much of it. But, it was well worth it! God was there and so were 550 women to meet Him.

Amanda and Beth,
I have tons to say that I won't right now. So much going on with the simulcast, etc. etc. I saw the request for prayer for Beth and Keith's trip to Israel, and I am going to sign in. I just wanted to encourage all the other sistas to do the same, whether it be formally on the website or just on your own.

Beth, with all of my heart I pray for a safe and fruiful trip there and back. Our praying for you is the joyful return to you for all that you have done and prayed your heart out for us!!!!!

Much love,
Ellen

I agree with Ellen...I was just thinking today how God raised up over 150,000 pray-ers for this next taping. Isn't that just like Him? So rest and trust that we will be praying, Beth, Keith and everyone on the Lifeway team. May He do marvels and delights for each one of you. It is our honor to pray for each of you. You are treasures, each one. May God be magnified and BIG for ya'll.

In His power and might (brachion, right?) be protected and blessed,
Holly Smith

I, too, had never heard of Travis, but was one of those who had to go check out his website on Saturday after returning from the Simulcast!

I'm actually -- LOL -- listening to his music via his webpage (loaded in a separate browser window) as I post this! LOL :-P

Beth -- I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the simulcast about "Get Out of That Pit!" -- it was SO POWERFUL!
During the signing of "The Lamb Has Overcome" just before the second session, I had a powerful "vision" ... every woman in the sanctuary there was bowing down with their faces on the floor (the pews had disappeared), and there were about 5 or 6 HUGE angels hovering over the stage at the front of the room! I then felt the presence of the Holy Spirit SO POWERFULLY in the room that it almost sent me to my knees in reverent worship! (I'm still in awe -- I could almost see the angels as clear as day!) I've only experienced God's presence that powerfully one other time in my life ... so I have to thank you! God is definitely working through you and your ministry! Praise Him!

Thank you SO MUCH!

The blonde girl on the team is Angela Cruz and she is PHENOMENAL!! You can hear Angela sing "WE SPEAK TO NATIONS" on the "Voices of the Faithful" project and it is SO powerful! i HIGHLY recommend that CD.

You are thinking of Mandisa and Mandisa is no longer with Travis' team anymore! I'm not sure of the other singer's name. I know she just recently married, but I think she is great.

I wasn't there - but I am certain having been to conference before that it was wonderful.
What I DID come here to say was that I just finished the book Get Out of That Pit - and this morning I really miss it. I gleaned so much from it - and I am so thankful for truth. It spoke to my heart in many ways. I often feel this emptiness when I finish a good piece of literature - but not usually "Bible study" or "help" books - but I do this time.
Weird.
Anyway - I just wanted to say - thanks -

Travis and awesome team, I debated all day about posting this, but just keep on sensing I need to say a big thank you! You touched me deeply when you sang the "you feel up my senses" song. God has reached me through some "secular" songs before, but I always thought that surely I was mistaken. Thanks so much for making me feel a little less "out there". So I tested it, so to speak, and changed a couple of words to Brian McNight's Back at One and sang it to the Lord. A big 'ole huge blessing followed and I just kept replaying it and singing louder and louder. I may have gone on all day, but my 16 year old daughter came in and "caught" me with my eyes closed singing at the top of my lungs.
Thanks so much, I probably never would have even tried that and been so blessed if it had not been for your encouraging song on Saturday.

Just in case you girls haven't made it to LPMS's main page lately, you can sign up to pray for Beth and the team as she goes to Israel for the taping of 'Pslams of Ascents'. May we join together for our Lord to be glorified!

Beth,
I didn't know where else to comment so I will do it in here. You have been on my mind today and I am praying for your trip to Israel. I signed up to pray while you are gone and I pray that you will be wide awake and full of energy (even though 3:00 a.m. comes early) tomorrow morning. May God protect you and Keith and all who will be with you and I pray for smooth taping and that God would reveal himself to all of you in a unique way while in Israel. I am looking forward to this study! Many, many blessings on you and your family and staff!!
Love,
Patty
