D-Day

My darling Sistas, Keith left a little while ago to shoot clay pigeons in a tournament and I've been sitting out on my back porch all by myself with Jesus. It's a gorgeous, cool day in Houston. Both dogs are sprawled out next to each other in the grass, taking naps in the sunshine. All I can think about is Jesus, the simulcast, and 150,000 women (and some courageous men) I want so desperately to be (permanently!) free. I have never been more burdened or felt more weight of the Spirit - brooding as I called it yesterday - than I did in the days and even weeks leading up to this event. I have never felt smaller or less adequate or more desperate for God to come. I suppose there are many reasons for all the feelings leading up to D-Day but one of the most obvious was that the topic was publicized in advance and I knew that women were coming for a SERIOUS work of God. I so deeply did not want to do anything to quench or distract from the delivering work of God or miss the direction He wanted us to go. Thankfully, my weakness can't trump His strength. At the same time, I think the team and I would be nuts to feel up to a task like that. Sometimes if you want to go face to face with Jesus, you've got to go face to face with the carpet. This was one of those times. He is so mystifyingly merciful. So willing to work in spite of us.

As Amanda conveyed, my whole family (and staff!) entered into this one like a bunch of bird dogs on point. Keith had prayed with me for days and after I flew in last night, we went back to carpet again, thanked God, and pled for the lives of each participant. Please join me in continued intercession until God gives us a release. Enduring deliverance takes place in an ongoing day-by-day relationship with Jesus Christ. He isn't simply the most important thing in life to the delivered. He IS life to the delivered. Divine invasion is the only map for pit-free traveling. I'm bursting with jealousy for that kind of passion, Presence, and permanence for EVERY SINGLE ONE of those participants.

Your comments were a great catalyst to a good cry. And to tell you the truth, I feel a lot better. This gathering was one of the weightiest things my family, Travis, and I feel that God has ever placed before us. When I awakened this morning, my poor, old body felt like I'd been hit by a Mack truck. I live to see captives set free in Christ and I'm willing to make a fool out of myself to encourage people to let Him do what it takes. Thank you so much for taking the time, not just to comment, but to spend precious hours before a screen, look past the annoying technology, and welcome the Spirit of Christ in such a peculiar set up. God worked miracle after miracle to put on that simulcast. To share just one: TEN MINUTES before it began, we had a rain storm in Tyler and we lost satellite power. You understand that if WE lost power, all 500+ sites would lose power. We went crazy in prayer. Not only did Jesus rebuke the storm, He blew away the clouds and brought out the sun. It was stunning. He intended to make sure we knew He was there. Jehovah Shammah!

After the event ended, Travis, the team and I returned to our knees and profusely thanked God. As I walked off that platform with the inevitable wish that this or that had been said or NOT been said, I was reminded by God that He doesn't ask His servants to do their tasks perfectly. Just wholeheartedly. This morning I experienced an unsolicited show of God's pleasure toward the simulcast through my devotional reading. (Our whole church is doing the one year devotional "At His Feet") The reference was Matthew 9:13, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Author Chris Tiegreen explained, "If He is extravantly merciful, so must we be. If He prefers the company of those who know their sinfulness over the company of those who don't, so must we. If He dines with the unlovable, He will put it within us to do likewise. This God showed up on our planet in the form of a merciful Savior. He offers grace without rebuke to those who know they need it. His rebukes are saved for those who won't acknowledge their need. He is purity that pursues the corrupt; mercy that hounds the needy; grace that demands only belief." Praise You, Jesus.

Yesterday some 150,000 needy souls showed up for the grace of God. Some had been innocently thrown into a pit, others had slipped into a pit, and others had hauled off and aimed for one. I couldn't see into the faces of those on the other side of the screen but I looked straight into the faces of several thousand women yesterday in Tyler, Texas and I did not see ONE who looked like she needed us to think she had it all together. Most of us were driven to all those locations, not by wheels, but by desperation. (Here's the best part of all) And God was pleased. By His sovereign choice, He can't resist any group of people who trade in pretense for Presence.

Jesus. He's who I want. Any way I can get Him. He is everything. He redeems our lives from the pit and crowns us with loving kindness. Today I raise my left hand to a God reaching down with His right, ever looking to lift my feet lest they dangle near a pit.

Don't you love it when you have the house to yourself (for a time) and can just pour your heart out before the Lord? I'm alone this afternoon and have been crying reading all of the comments on the blog. It was all just wonderful and I pray that you can get yourself some rest today!
Thanks again to everyone who had a part in the simulcast yesterday and praise God that the weather cleared up there in Tyler!

Beth, you have taught me so much about the Lord. I was raised in a satanic cult for the first half onf my life and God even through that showed me himself to me through a foster mother that God allowed me to be with one short year of my childhood. It gave me the hope I needed to grow up and experience God for myself. Through the help of a Godly woman in my life I am at the place where I can begin to really search out a God who didn't put me in a pit but allowed it to be a part of who I am .
You Beth moore by writing breaking free allowed me to begin a Siritual life in Christ which teaches me how to grow and be closer to my Lord. Thankyou for your deep teaching Spirit. You touch lives, you have touched mine.

Beth,

Thank you for your faithfulness to this ministry, your calling, and women who are desperate for a touch from the Lord. I am not currently in a pit, but I'm desperate for God to continue to change, grow and mold me, and draw me closer to Him. Thank you for providing an avenue that continues to allow God to do that in my life through his revelational power. We are all blessed by your ministry and your authenticity.

Love - Jean

Thanks so much for teaching me the difference between being just "drawn out" of the pit and actually letting Him "rescue me." The wallpaper of my pit is not who my enemy really is. That alone is enough to make me SHOUT!! I'm not there yet, but praise God I'm on my way. Thanks be to God.

Precious Beth,
Christmas came 2 months late for me. I gave up my simulcast ticket because I was incharge of my son's Madrigal choir banquet. The woman that took my spot had lost her husband to cancer, and is not churched. Her words to my mother after attending the simulcast in California was, "I felt close to my husband" " I feel love towards my children" " I feel the presence of God". I may not have gotten to attend but I was blessed in knowing that my ticket brought to love of Christ to another. She felt the praises of Christ through Travis' music, She heard the word through you, She felt the compassion from Amanda and all that were around her to make this simulcast happen. My dear sweet Beth continue to "Carry the Light" through your committed faith with Keith, Amanda, Melissa, son in law, grandson & your dogs as your cheering squad. My husband informed me that he is taking me to San Francisco in March to celebrate with you and Jesus. We will be the cute couple in the audience. :) Starbucks in hand!

Dear Sweet Beth,
I'm still processing all of yesterday. It was so awesome. I invited my sister who is 21 to come and she did! She is living the gay lifestyle and has never heard of you. My prayer was that she would be totally pulled into the screen and would truly hear what the Lord wanted to say to her. She absolutely loved you! God did speak to her. She needs much prayer. I thank you for your obedience. Her thing is that she does not feel it is wrong. I'm believing God to set her free. You see, our Mom died when she was just 4 years old and I'm convinced that she justs longs for female love that she never had. The "blessing" that you led us in the end about killed me. I want so much for her. Could you post what you had us repeat? I would love to have a copy of it. Thank you so very much and I love you dearly!

Oh Beth, thank you for sharing! I just found this blog last night after the simulcast~ and what a delight to come here today and see that you had posted. I am praying for you... that God would lift you up....

This morning in class several of us shared about the day yesterday. One of our dear sisters has cancer and she came yesterday with just a scarf! God through you spoke to her! He spoke to all of us!

May God give you a peaceful day and may His touch wash over you. I have been in several of your bible studies and YOU have touched my life in so many ways... bringing me closer to our precious Savior our God our Father. I THANK YOU.

One question.... will the simulcast be available on dvd? Our church will buy one... we want to show this to our ladies.... so many of our friends missed it yesterday and we can not tell them enough.... no one does it like you Beth.... HE is doing a mighty work in you!

I love ya!

Mama Beth,
Unable to attend the simulcast myself, I can still imagine it in my head as you describe it. And due to my afternoon yesterday, I can't help but think of the song by Jared Anderson "Amazed". I fisrt heard the song from the 'Voices of the Faithful' CD.

I couldn't attend the simlucast because I was at a wedding--the most God-centered I have ever attended in my life--for a young man who works at our church. As Jason's beautiful bride walked past each pew on her father's arm, a friend of mine sang the words of Jared's song..

How wide, how deep
How great is your love for me
Lord I'm amazed by you
Lord I'm amazed by you
Lord I'm amazed by you, how you love me

..It was an INCREDIBLE sight to watch both Jason and Leslie mouthing these words of worship as she took each step closer to him, and they took their first step TOGETHER towards Christ...and they BEGAN their journey giving it all back to HIM.

I immediately thought of the 150,000 men and women being freed at that very moment, and how AMAZING God's love really is that He would call us friend even when we're in a pit long enough to decorate. I'm so thankful that despite the depth of our fall, His sacrifice is always deeper.

God bless you and your generations to come. Lord, we are amazed by you!!

I am one of those who has been set free from the pit over this past year. I came to the simulcast with anticipation to share in the glory of His freedom. My heart is towards others in the pit, to let them know that YOU too can be free! My cycle lasted ten years, but I am free at last! Praise to my Father above, Honor & Glory to His Son Jesus, and thankfulness to His Holy Spirit who woos us out of the pit!

He touched the lives of many using you as His vehicle. Thank you so much for not burying your talent & thank you for the simulcast! I tried to take really good notes for a few friends who had to leave or could not come at all. Could you please post the part you asked us to speak to one another at the end? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to have that. Thanks!! P.S. I loved the accapella singing at the end!!! From: Diana in Kentucky

Oh Miss Beth-
Isn't He Good?! To God be the Glory great things He has done! The LORD God Omnipotent Reigneth! I prayed all day for you, Travis, your daughter, the whole team until I knew for sure it was over. I have prayed hourly last night and today (Sun) and will pray tomorrow also that you will know completely His pleasure at your obedience. He will receive all the praise- but you(and those who serve with you) will receive blessings that come with obedience. May you find rest (literally- take a nap!) and total enjoyment of His Dear Self as you have a day or so to breathe fully in His arms. Know that someone up here in Redmond/Kirkland loves you and cares for you- I'm praying for you to be up for Tuesday night! God Bless all of you!

AMEN! I, too, am lifting my left hand. As this freshly turned 50 year old sits here with her i-Pod listening to Jeremy Camp sing "I Still Believe" I want to thank you for one of your statements. "God doesn't ask His servants to do their tasks perfectly. Just wholeheartedly." I struggle with leading Bible Study and teaching Sunday school. I never feel prepared or equipped enough. Then you reminded me, all I need is Jesus. D-Day was WONDERFUL! Many times I feel myself dangling my feet in that pit, too. I will continue to raise my left hand for God's deliverance. Come, Lord Jesus!

This morning my pastor spoke on 1 Peter 2 about integrity. I was reminded of the beginning of the Daniel study, when what integrity really is was brought home to me. I thought that integrity was about being moral, not robbing banks, cheating your boss, etc. Never once did I realize that the thousands of masks that I so proficiently donned were in fact the opposite of integrity. Beyond the fact that I so totally lacked integrity, I would never be free until I allowed the veil to be removed. Until I laid it out for all to see that I am a flawed, sick, broken, enchained child of God. Freedom lies in the revelation.

During worship this morning we sang a song with words that spoke to the core of my being in light of yesterday's simulcast. "I need you Jesus, to come to my rescue, where else can I go?"

As I cling with all that I am to the outstretched arm of our Father, I am comforted by His promise to cling even tighter to mine.

Thank you, Beth, for allowing God to pour Himself out upon us through your broken vessel. That we would all be so willing to allow His strength to be perfected in our human weakness, oh what a world that would be.

I was working. But I am sure I would have enjoyed it.

I have just got to say how BLESSED my life has been, I mean I have only been apart of this blog since it started, and its not just the people that I have met, its the peoples hearts!

I have been inspired to blog my blog almost everyday, and let God just say something new.

Beth, I have to say this, because I said it in a card to my Pastor. And I feel like God led me to say to you to...
Our strength does not come from what we can do physically, it comes from what we can do through our hearts. Rememeber that God WILL stand in the GAPS that we can't! So don't worry! The right words will be said at the right time:-) ALWAYS:-)

PRAISE HIM!

I knew that your burden was heavy and I prayed for you during the night and in the morning when I got out of bed. I also prayed that NO person would leave the same as when she came in. I prayed for deliverence for EACH person in attendance. God came though for you, Beth. I'm really getting this praying big thing. I'm just starting to pray, with confidence, BIG things from God. I will continue to pray for the 1,000,000,000 lives with you.

Love you so much sista,

I forgot to mention that my pastor's sermon title today was "discipline that's good". He said the same thing you said yesterday about God using discipline to TEACH us and that God will bring corrective action in order for us to learn. He also said that God will allow stronger consequences in order to have our heart. Then he asked the question "for how long?" and the answer he gave... "that's up to you. As long as it takes." Just like what you said yesterday about God turning up the heat. He said that purpose in discipline is to prepare us for greater things. (I thought you would enjoy this last thing that he said) "let's learn what God wants us to learn as quick as we can learn it so that we can move on to what God wants to do in our lives."

Beth & Team,
I felt pretty overwhelmed last night when I got home after the simulcast (p.s Your daughter is so sweet--she offered to let me pump in her church's nursery-mommies know!) Anyway, I want to tell you what really hit home. Starting today, I am released from being responsible for the consequences of my obedience to Christ. I'm tired of feeling bad that many of my loved ones don't "get" me now (I know I'm too "radical" for them now). Jesus gets me. Thank you for saying that to me! I come from generations of authority issues. The buck has stopped with me, and I'm ALL HIS, praise Jesus. I never thought to connect renewing my mind with memorizing scripture. I am one of those girls that needs to have it SPELLED OUT. Glory to our brilliant God. Trade my blonde heart for a smart heart! You all did a fantastic job, Beth & Team, and I hope you all see much fruit from this. Do more simulcasts!!

I am overwhelemed right now...by life. I have been throwing myself into studying the word and prayer. Had the most distracting worship today. I am a glass 1/2 full kind of girl...I am not sure where this is coming from. I am speaking at a retreat for the first time in 2 weeks...I am out of my mind feeling inadequate. My husband and I are arguing more than not and I have a horrible cold. I have had a major falling out with my best friend and I feel alone. Why am I posting this? I pathetically have no one else to "talk" to! I wasn't at the simulcast...but could you add me to the women you have been praying for?

Have you ever in your life seen such a stirring in the hearts of so many to know Him?
I haven't!

Beth, I am thankful for your gift of teaching. I love the fact that when God teaches you something you can't wait to share it with us. My goodness I think you would explode if you had to keep it to yourself.

One thing, you reminded us in the Believing God Study, is this - "God reveals Himself in two primary ways: in His works and in His word and they are there for you to find and for me to find." Knowing God is a personal journey. We know that can't ride your coattails to heaven. However, your love for our Lord Christ is so sweet we want to know Him more. Thank you for being a living testament to Him.

Oh Father, there is none like you!

Beth and sweet sisters in Christ,

HIS Name is to be praised and not our own. We must live for His fame alone. Yesterday was not about Beth Moore touching 150,000+ lives. It wasn't about her amazing ability to communicate the Word of God. It's every not about the experience or the venue. (although, praise Him for all those things!!!) May our response be to the one, true living God--seeking Him and revering Him only.
He is God and there is no other.

May "His Name and renown be the desire of our hearts." (Isa. 26:8)

How great is our God! It was an incredible day for sure. I was with more than 300 ladies in Lexington, KY. The Holy Spirit as always takes over and drives. I was so greatful to hear Him speaking so personally to me as he spoke so powerfully through Beth.

I always guage how powerful the message was by how quickly the lion comes comes to attempt to steal my new gained freedom. While I was at the simulcast, he left something for me that I'm sure was meant to send me back to the pit. I called it what it was as soon as I saw it. I told my husband I'm not doing this anymore. My husband agreed with me that it was definately not a coincidence. We're going to stand on the Rock.

I read one Psalm after another this morning with the Lord. I'm claiming complete victory and I won't settle this time for anything less.

I have felt such a release and sense of peace and victory, full of hope and a willingness to fight the good fight. Before I had all but given up. Thanks be to God for His Spirit and His deliverance. I am going through a divorce right now and have had resentful thoughts of my husband about what he did and the fact that he has never admitted what he did to me. So when you pointed out it was hard to forgive someone who did not want to be forgiven, that really spoke to me. What a pit I have been in! I know now I just need to pray for mercy for him and continue to let God restore mine and my boys lives. God bless you and your family!

A few years ago, a woman breezed past me in the grocery store with her shopping cart. She clipped my anklebone with it as she passed, and must have realized it because she lightheartedly said, "woops, sorry". The apology was ill-fitted to the degree of pain. What I wanted to say was, "not nearly sorry ENOUGH".
Your reference to the perpetrator having no IDEA what he had done to you was something I could relate to, and I don't mean the lady at the grocery store. Thank you for bringing it home with the words of Jesus, "Father forgive them, they don't know what they are doing".

Amen! Beth, dear, sweet Beth...I love what God pours through you. But this book, this message...is so desperately needed in my life. It is needed in the lives of so many that I dearly love. I am so grateful that God allowed you to live this message, to proclaim this message, and to stand by this message. I love you, I am thrilled by what God does through you.
I too long for those I love to be set free. Too many of our precious sistahs are in bondage, and it's time to break the chains and to get moving in the blessed assurance that God provides.
Please pray for our family...we are in process of breaking the bonds that have held us captive for too long...but it is a battle...God is our deliverer, and we must stay delivered.
Again, I love you. Praying for you, as I know this must drain you dry at times...but oh, how wonderful, because it allows for a fresh filling from above!!!

Love you! Bless you!

I have been so blessed by the simulcast event yesterday, I cannot stop praising God! My "joy bucket" is so full it is running over! I felt it the moment I entered the church where we watched the simulcast and as Beth began to speak, the enormity of what God was doing here and other locations was overwhelming. I could not stop praising Him for what He was about to do. The angels were present and rejoicing with us.

Through the ministry of Katartizo Healing and Discipleship Center, I have seen people delivered and have seen and experienced the beautiful release it brings to someone's life. I will be praying that each attendee yesterday will find a mentor to guide them on this new journey of freedom in Christ.

Beth, words can't describe how incredibly blessed I was yesterday at one of the host sites. I was in little old Bryson City NC among hundreds of other woman who all came seeking the same thing. I walked in to that church in such a deep and disgusting pit ( pretty much wallpaped in myself and past hurts) and walked out free of the pit I was in and making my way in the other direction. I can not recall the last time God has made himself so obvious to me in such a personal and powerful way. There were several times you would stare into the camera and right at me and it was as though your words we're meant for me. I am so elated, so blessed and so full of joy! A joy I don't want to lose ever again or forget I have. Going into yesterday my worse fear was that I would not be changed or quickly slip back into my pit. Your words about how we must resist with everything we have gave me a mental picture of myself being chained down but moving forward with all of my strength and with every step forward a chain loosened and fell to the ground. That image gave me so much strength to continue to persist and move forward no matter how hard it may get. I must refuse to enter back into that pit! I was also blessed my Travis and the praise team. The song "In Christ Alone" is very personal to me and it is the song I play when I go to God in desperation and tears. When that song began playing yesterday God broke me. I surrendered and I remember feeling like I had to get on my knees or else I was going to fall straight down. I also realized at the end of the song that I had lifted my left arm in worship and oddly I never do that. I always raise my right arm but yesterday I reached toward Christ with my weak arm and I did not even realize it. I write all of this because I want you to know how much I was blessed. You are so anointed and I am so thankful you serve our father and have given your heart to ministry and woman. I have a heart for ministry with woman and I just pray that I can be used by God as powerfully one day. Please pray for me as I make these steps. Thank you so much for allowing yourself to be used by God. May God bless you!

Today found me pensive and yearning for more hype and telecast. I felt like I was drinking it all from a fire hydrant. Now I want to recover - and I was the participant, sitting in the pew with another couple of hundred women here in Frozen Fargo! It was an intense experience for me too. Now I need to figure out what to do next with this information and release! My heart now knows that Christ is for me and with me.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put this telecast on. It is no small feat with technology and we hear nature all having their say in things and the message that is presented. But lessons learned with make it easier next time!

Blessings,

I had the privilege of being with you in Tyler yesterday, and honestly, there are no words...
This morning as we were getting ready to enter the choir loft for the service at GABC a sweet friend of mine looked at me and said, "there is NO WAY this sanctuary can be the same". It seemed that there would be smoldering ashes all over the Sanctuary left from the all-consuming fire of our God. Although we saw no smoke rising, we feel it still burning in our hearts. Thank you Jesus, thank you Beth, Travis and team.

Praise be to God Almighty, who redeemed my life from many pits yesterday! Day 2 of freedom I have NEVER experienced before. Never have I been drawn out and rescued from the pits I was in. Probably because I was born into some and jumped in the rest. Anyway..you are absolutely right Beth, it is one day at a time walking with the Lord Jesus. All day I carried around my little bible at church and with my family. Every time I felt that mud was close to getting thrown at me or a pit was visible I opened up his word and cried out to Him. Oh joy it actually worked!!! Thank you my Jesus and thank you Beth/LPM (for your love and obedience to Him!)

Thank you so much Beth. I heard your message Saturday from a church in the PNW (near Portland, OR). The Lord is really using you to speak to many of us pit dwellers. Actually, I have lived in a pit so long - you are correct about "hanging picures". Tomorrow, I plan to go outside in my backyard and dig a small hole (pit)and individually, throw in a dozen 3x5 cards. Each card I've written something I need deliverance from. The back of the card has a verse from the bible applicable to that problem. I will pray over every card and then toss it into the pit. Throw dirt over it all and walk away. It'll probably be raining but hey, this is the PNW. If there was an inscription, it would read "here lies all the lies" (I have believed over the years). Pls pray for me. Thank You.

Dear Beth, Travis, and LPM Team,
It was my joy and privilege on Saturday to spend the day in my prayer closet interceding during the Simulcast. God was INCREDIBLE! Not only did He connect me with 150 thousand participants, but If we were to compare notes, I'm sure I prayed some of the verses you taught. Many times throughout the day, I was led to pray for courage. There were two times in particular when the Holy Spirit led me to pray for my co-laborers in intercessory prayer. Once I prayed Isaiah 40:31 for us, and the second time, (2:30 to be exact) I prayed Habakkuk 3:19. At 3:50, I was led to begin interceding for the lost. I journaled everything, so I have a moment by moment, play by play so to speak. I'm telling you, Beth, the Holy Spirit directed every minute of the day. The insight He gave to me is too rich not to record. Deep breath. I'm taking a big risk here, and I know you get tons of correspondence, but if you should happen to want to compare notes, I truly don't mind sharing. It will not hurt my feelings, however, if you decline, but I had to risk it and make the offer. Sigh of relief.
The ministry of Living Proof is a blessing to many and I count it all joy to serve by standing in the gap. Love to you and all the team,
Patti Hayes
P.S. The enemy tried to taunt me and keep me from commenting on Amanda's post earlier, or on this one, but I stepped on his head and kept typing!

Beth,
Thank you so much for spending your saturday to minister to so many women across the country. I was watching the showing in Arkansas. I did not realize in debt what a true 'pit' was. I am at this time stuck in 'mud.' During my life time I have been stuck in a pit, and honestly just realized it yesterday. I long for the day when I am completely out, and I am free. I want so bad to be able to worship MY God without any hold backs. Thank you once again for what you do! Love you!

Beth, thank you for yesterday. I've been going over my notes and re-reading the verses you shared and reading a little in your book. I must say that my favorite thing was when you shared about Amanda and Jackson a few minutes before he turned one. "You mean the world to me." And you related that to God taking me in His arms and saying the same thing. I have a 2 week old grandson (my first) and I look at him with such love and now every time I do that I will think - "And this is nothing compared to how God feels about me".

I am not currently struggling with a pit in my life but I went yesterday to get a word from God and I certainly did. More than one. Thank you for your prayers and concern for all of us. And I'll know what to do when the next pit comes my way.

And I must tell you that I love the song - Lord You're Holy. I feel like I am close to exploding every time I sing it.

God's blessing on you, my friend. Love, Su

Beth,

I attended the Simulcast in Beaverton Oregon. Jesus met me there. Even before the first word fell from your sweet mouth my eyes were flooded with tears as the Holy Spirit gave me such a deep awareness of his presence.

I am 32, a mother of two little boys and I love Jesus. I have been asking the Lord for the same love for him and for his word that I see in you. I have never met you personally but consider you a friend and mentor. Because or your courage to be authentic coupled with the truths you have taught me from the WORD through Bible study...I AM FREE. I never knew life could be so beautiful and so full.

Yours is one the first faces I will look for in heaven. I look forward to the day I can thank you personally. Until then a blog will have to do...thank you!

I pray for you everyday, Valerie

I took part in the simulcast here in Austin, Texas. It was a beautiful time of praise, love and, yes, conviction for me. I woke up this morning prasing God, and shared a little of what you had shared with my precious 8th grade girls Bible Study class this morning. As often happens when God begins a great work, I felt once again, struggles and bindings start to surround me. I know now, that Satan is scared of what has begun, and he is going to fight harder than ever to "bury some of us alive" as we attempt to remain out of the pit. We all need Prayer and His word more than ever. Amen and praise Jesus that he is our Knight! Thank you Beth, and all who made this conference possible

Dear Beth,
I am still in awe of the 150,000 women and like you said a few men that attended the Simulcast. The word you chose, brooding was how I was feeling. I could sense the move of the Spirit. I am so thankful that God would go to the lengths that he did Saturday to offer deliverance to every single one of us!! I have been in so many different pits in my life and God has brought release and I celebrate in his healing. I am so ready for deliverance and I take one day at a time with Jesus. When I get discouraged I can hear you say, can you make it for 5 minutes, and that God can change my day not just my life. It helps me to strive forward and believe God. At one time my pit was wallpapered in rejection and divorce. I can testify today that God has released me from that!! How I praise him for that!! That miracle was HUGE!! If God can deliver me from that he can deliver me from the rest. At our location everyone was real, the ladies and the few men came to meet with Jesus and let me tell you I felt his presence and love. I can still hear one of the women howling before Jesus. I believe it was the sound of deliverance!! We can trust God with our pain. When I awoke this morning and had my prayer time, I prayed for Nancy. I felt the Holy Spirit leading me to pray for her and I pray for God's miracles to pour all over her! I will join you in praying for God's release over all 150,000. I wish my entire women's group could have been at the Simulcast. There are so many hurting women in my class. Satan is attacking marriages in my class. It breaks my heart. If God leads or allows I pray that this Simulcast could be put on dvd or that you will make a study out of your book. So many more need to hear this message. Thank you so much for serving us! Thank you to your family and staff. I thank God for you all. God is doing a new thing in me, I am so ready. I don't ever want to go back to the way I was, I want to keep walking until I see Jesus face to face and yes, give him the biggest hug!!

I attended the Simulcast with a friend - we had planned the day because 2 of our dearest friends are in deep pits - one is from the grief of her husband's death 3 years ago and the other is from an unwanted divorce last month after over 20 years of marriage. They both cancelled on us, but we attended anyway - and I found that God had planned the day just for me. Thank you for being his vessel. And then today's blog continues to feed my thirsty spirit. We had a wonderful day of praise and teaching today. My God is so dear to me. Thank you for your willingness to become transparent for the kingdom. Rest, you deserve it!

Oh, Beth...I love your heart for the Lord and your passion for Him! I am so hungry for more of Jesus!
I so want to be delievered from what died inside me when my husband left my children and I six years ago. I begged the Lord to help me forgive him and He did! I have forgiven him. Now, I'm begging Him to heal me of this underlying grief inside of me...I seem to not be able to experience complete joy. I don't want to "smell like smoke anymore"; I don't want any trace of it! I've been crying out to the Lord to heal me. Would you pray for me?

Praise God for such an amazing simulcast!! I can't even imagine how intense the spiritual warfare must have been for the leadership of that event. The level of the enemy's attack always parallels the level of a person's passionate pursuit of God.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a really simple truth that God finally was able to reveal to me yesterday during the simulcast. At one point, Beth, you said that, unless God places us on a rock, we will go right back to our pit. And, I just want you to know that, for a long time now, I have been struggling with an area of (what seems like) constant defeat in my life. So what God revealed to me yesterday is that, when He asks me to give something up, unless I fill that gap up immediately with Him and His Word, I will undoubtedly dive right back into the pit that it leaves in my life. Although I know that truth seems like a no-brainer, unless it penetrates into my heart, my actions will never change--I will constantly circle the same mountain of defeat. But, praise God, for we have a relationship with the Mover of Mountains!! He is so worthy of all the praise.

Thank you for your obedience to His leading. Be abundantly blessed:)

Praise be to God that He works through a faithful servant. I had previously read your book "Get out of the pit" and was so delivered by it that I passed it on. I did not get to attend your conference here in Tyler, Tx, but I know many who did go. I pray that many women who attended will take that lead and be delivered and then go and tell others how they too can live a life of freedom on this earth, while waiting for Saviour to return. May God produce powerful speakers and followers that will spend their lives as you have showing others what Christ desires to do in their life. Beth I thank God that you do give of yourself whole heartedly and you tell it like it is, which is exactly how I need to hear it. I know you touch so many womens lives by being willing to be spent for their souls (2 Corinthians 12:15), and mine is one of them.

Beth, I just Praise God for you and your ministry. Could not believe the number, 150,000.
Preparing to be the MC for our small group (late) Friday night, I flipped through my Bible on the way to Isaiah 43:10 and got to Isaiah 41:4 marked 'Beth Moore February 25, 2006'. The simulcast would start in our rural community exactly 1 year, within the same hour, of 4 Bible Study participants making a 'Pact for Impact' at the Birmingham Conference.
I wanted to shout but my husband was asleep, all I could do was say, "O God, Thank You, You are so awesome."
We had to start 5 minutes early so I could share how He had answered our prayers once again.
Our study group is on mid-break of 'Daniel'. We are looking forward to Bossier City in March.
A comment from a very godly woman who had never read, heard, or seen any of God's work through you, "Oh my, that woman is truly in love with Jesus, just like we all should be."
Again I give God the Glory for you allowing Him to minister through you.

Hi Beth,
I just had to share with you that yesterday as I arrived early to church to get ready for the simulcast the first person I saw was our prayer pastor who had been praying over the simulcast. The first words he said to me were "It's D Day!" When you mentioned that during the simulcast it gave me chills. What a great day it was!
My 15 year old son was in attendance with me. I told him on the way to the church that you would be tickled to know that a 15 year old boy was among your 150,000. Blessings to you Beth, we love you here in Washington. It was great seeing you in Redmond (and Keith:).

Enjoy your free time with Jesus. I loved the Simulcast, the message, the Lord!!! You, my sweet friend on the other side of the screen, are an absolute treasure. I think what I have always thought of as my "pit" is actually my wallpaper. I think the pits may not be the actual sins or misbehaviors we are committing, such as eating, lying, cheating, etc... but the pits are the evils that are keeping us from God... in many cases, rebellion, lack of self respect, self pity, greed... It is an aha moment for me, and I thank the good Lord for you, Travis and the team... all who work so tirelessly. You give us all you have, poured out like a drink offering for the Lord. I am so grateful. Hugs!

Beth,
I am in the middle of the "Breaking Free" study at church, so the simulcast was icing on the cake for me. Thank you for pouring forth into my life time after time. I have been battling addiction for 25 years and have experienced seasons of walking in victory only to find myself back in the pit again. Jesus had me from the very beginning when you said, "We aren't just looking for a little relief, but for full release." YES AND AMEN!

Beth and Amanda - I was just intoduced to the LPM blog last week and it has been a joy. I had to tell you both what the Lord whispered to me after the first time reading this blog. He said, "Will you be this excited to read my blog? Do you want to know what I'm up to and what's on my heart?" I was undone before him. My prayer for each and everyone who takes the time to be part of the LPM Blog will take even more time to sit at the feet of Jesus.

The simulcast was great and I got to share the message with my neighbor, who desperately needs God's deliverance in her life, just an hour after I got home. I am praying that she is on the road of deliverance.
But what I wanted to share with you is that while I was up this morning doing my devotion I came across this verse in Ez.19. It says, "The nations heard about him and he was trapped in "their" pit." Again in verse 8 it says that they "spread their net for him and he was trapped in THEIR pit." Wow!! Not only can we dig our own pit, but if we are not on our toes, in the Word, and praying without ceasing we could easily get trapped in someone elses pit. Could this be the reason God tells us to be careful when we confront someone with their sin? Could it be easy to fall into their "pit." I am thinking so. As I am writing this, I feel like the Holy Spirit is telling me that all pits are dug by satan himself. Some are meant for us and some are meant for others. And if we are not careful as I said before, we can just as easily fall into a pit he dug for someone else. Oh God, protect us today as we go about doing your work so that we are not trapped by someone else's pit. Guard our hearts and keep our eyes on you and keep our feet on the path with you.

pBETH!!! you won't believe this, but even though geographical distance made me unable to attend the Simulcast, your commentary has provided me with a serious blessing - what a powerful reminder you gave me: "Enduring deliverance takes place in an ongoing day-by-day relationship with Jesus Christ. He isn't simply the most important thing in life to the delivered. He IS life to the delivered. Divine invasion is the only map for pit-free traveling.".

As a dweller of a seriously self-destructing pit, I am taking baby steps to PERMANENTLY get out of it by TRUSTING Jesus Christ, and I cannot begin to tell you how this message is resounding LOUD and CLEAR! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

I love the sista's idea of digging a pit and throwing in cards on which is written where deliverance is needed with the scripture applications, covering the pit with the inscription "here lies all the lies"! You go girl!

I was unable to attend the simulcast Saturday, but I am reading the book and have been reminded of a HUGE pit (one that I jumped into) God delivered me from a few years ago, which combats the lie that I cannot get out of the current one! He is so faithful!

Beth-
Words can't describe how your life has impacted mine in countless ways. I am one of those people who would get out of a pit and years later go right back to the same pit thru a different avenue until I am to deep to get out. I promised myself and God each time that I won't go back but it takes too much energy to live there. After successfully working with the Lord for two straight years and though hard work done by God.
My enemy so gently got me into another pit that I swore would never go back into. Life was good. I was in love with the Saviour of my soul. I prayed one of your prayers from Breaking Free 'Lord teach me to fall in love with you' and that's exactly what He did.

Few months ago, I started not reading the Bible again - a book that I could never put down. I had lost interest in praying. When I opened my mouth to pray - I would quickly fall asleep. No more kneeling down to pray. No more bathroom talk with Jesus. I had become so dependent. Got engaged to a man who appeared to be so spiritual a month after meeting him. Came to find out he had his own agenda. At this point, I was so far into a deep into a pit. I was drowning literally. I couldn't find my way out. It's as if I was walking in a dark tunnel and everywhere I turn leads to nowhere. Deep inside I knew Jesus is my way of the pit but i can't even find the strength to say 'help'. I was a lost case.
Few days ago, I found out about this event - really - was it coincidental? It was more than I could bear. God spoke to me and I was delivered. I was able to cry out at last for help. He responded. I have been in psalm 18 and 32 because it is a one day a time affair. My prayer this morning is Lord - just help me for today. Just today.
The enemy won't give up so easily as I have thoughts about why I am leaving- what's the purpose? You can't get anything right. You are a failure.

And I hear God saying "I delight in you'. It's a battle. The mind is truly a battlefield - the spirit with the flesh.

Thank God - I am not on my way out. I am OUT but it's going to take a lot of surrendering to Jesus' leading and guidance.

Thank you Beth. I love you more than you will ever know. May God continue to use to reach the lost ones and as well as the captive ones.

Thank you for Saturday. I finally accept how much Jesus' loves me and that I don't have to live in my pit because that is just the way I am. Your message was so strong, the enemy was waiting for me the minute I got home. Keep praying for us dwellers....that we make the day to day personal time with Jesus our top priority! Otherwise, we'll never stay out of the pit. Lots of love and blessings to you Beth!

Precious Beth,
Thank you for answering God's call. I was truly blessed and changed through the words Jesus spoke to me through you. And as a Pastor's wife, I will forever use what I've learned (and continue to learn) to minister the precious women that He allows me to be with.
On a lighter note, on our way home from the simulcast, the women from our group decided that we want YOU to run for President of the United States! Eph. 3:20, girl!!
I love you dearly and get some much needed rest. Did anybody happen to keep count of how many times you walked up and down those stairs!? You won't need to workout for a month!!!
I dearly love you, my sister!

I want to thank you, Beth, for being so open with us on Saturday regarding the authenticity that accompanies the Living Proof staff. There is nothing that blesses me more than to know a ministry staff is striving to look and act like Jesus. After all, we are called to be "imitators of God." The expectations you set for your staff are indeed a reflection of your own heart for Jesus. Thank you for being faithful ... and Thank you Living Proof staff.

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you....I have so much in my heart (gratefullness, love, gratefullness). The message was so touching to me, I could have lasted hours. I just want to jump in to God and God's word, the more I process everything. I am more encouraged and thankful to be in recovery than ever. Patti ,MD

I was thinking about what Mandi wrote about the ashes all over the sanctuary. Praise God! Then I thought about what another sista wrote about feeling the bindings and that Satan would like to get us bound and not free. Oh sistas, please don't tape the ashes back on. Leave them on the floor, where they belong.
Love you in Him!

What a day Saturday was. To sit in the little town Clermont, GA, and think of the other 149,999 women in attendance of the simulcast was more than overwhelming to me.

A friend asked me “how did it go for you” on Saturday. I said “good”. But, as I sit and think on the day and the pit I was drawn out of, it was more than just “good”. That day was a turning point in my life. The past years have been nothing but one angry season bound by frustration, unforgiveness, along with a lot of resentment. As I sit and thank God what He and He alone did, it’s almost more than I can comprehend. But, you know, He alone is God and He has done great things!

Thank you for sharing your heart and for being obedient to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh my sweet sister Beth, you are truly a humble servant. I so pray that I will always have a spirit so humble before our Lord and Savior! What an example you are to all of us and we love you so very much.
You certainly hit the nail on the head with your comment on God's mercy. I for one am so, so thankful that "His mercies are new every morning". Holy is His name---Not ours while we live in our earthly tents! It is a mind blowing concept that our Holy God just wants us to love Him! I heard a message the other day that shook me to the core. John 14:15 says that "If you love Me, you will keep My commands". Being brought up a good "baptist" girl, I always thought of that verse with too much emphasis on the obeying part. If we shift the emphasis to the Love though, the verse takes on a whole new picture! What a relief! My Savior just wants my love and He will help me with the obeying. Wow, thank you Jesus! I think we can all agree that loving comes easier to us than obeying, so sista's just love Him with all you have and ask Him to help you with the obeying. Try your best to obey His commands, but never, never stop loving Him. Spend time with Him, because He really is alot of fun not hard and pressing.
Beth, you are incredible! Rest and enjoy spending some time just "playing" with the Lord! He is so proud of you right now and so are all your sisters in Christ! We Love You and Lord we love you so much too!

Does anyone know the name of the worship song Travis sang during the simulcast that listed the names of God (kind of like in a chanting style)? I've been looking all over, but I don't know the name. What a beautiful and powerful song that was to me!
Thanks and blessings to you all!

I just found your blog and have loved reading all the wonderful comments. I like the rest of the 150,000 who shared the day with you loved every minute. As I sat in the church on Sat. I just couldn't get over the fact that we were together there with so many from so many places. My heart was overwhelmed with gratitude to God and to you Beth for your tenacious spirit to bring God's word to HIS people. It inspires me beyond words. Praise be our God!

Thank you Beth for your words..please know how much they means to all of us. I can't express how much your ministry has meant to me and the women in our group bible study...we have been meeting for over 3 years now in my new home the Lord provided for this single mom of a teenage girl. Your ministering to me for the last 3 years has given me confidence and allowed me to minister to high school students at this time. I met you in person in San Diego about a year ago at Shawdow Mountain church, and the only thing that would come out of my mouth as we met was "I just love you" Your lesson's have healed me a little more each time, and His Word has been like taking a glorious medicine that seems to ease itself into those broken places that needed healing. I am forever grateful for Jesus saving my life. I was also a former pit dweller several years ago. He delights in me, and He is my delight. love you, marianne

Beth,
Thank you for the beautiful post! Saturday was amazing. We spent two months prior to the simulcast praying over you, your team, the event, the women coming and the men helping - everything we could think of. I don't think we once prayed about the weather at the Tyler location (but we did pray about the fog in Florida :)
Your studies have just drawn me into a much deeper relationship with Jesus than I ever imagined! I am doing Jesus the One and Only now. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you. He is Good, all the time!

Beth, greetings from Medford, Oregon! I'm one of the courageous men that showed up for Saturday's simulcast...and it was indeed an incredible blessing of the Lord, by His Spirit, and for His glory alone. The subject of the book (Get Out Of That Pit) and the day is one close to my own heart, as I am in a season of transition in terms of ministry to our Lord. It was a great day....I pray the Lord will continue to pour out His Spirit on your life and ministry, for His glory alone.

Warmly In Christ Our Lord,

peter b

Beth, at the beginning of this busy day, I just want to take a second to write about how God touched me through you. I was invited to your simulcast by my husband's administrative assistant, and am totally new to you and your work. I have struggled with depression and social anxiety for most of my life, and many times a day Satan whispers in my ears that I should kill myself. I just didn't know it was him. I am one of those women married to a man in a leadership role in the community, and I often feel forced to act "better" and stronger than I feel I really am. How good to hear that He delights in me, how good to hear that I am not the only one who vainly tries to purify myself, that He is there to hold me up when I need Him so badly. It has been a long time since I felt so close to God. I feel inspired now to turn to Him at my weakest moments, and beg Him to rescue me from that pit. And most wonderful, when your show was over, my husband's assistant told me how many lives I touch through my support of my man. God knew I needed to hear that, too, as I so often feel insignificant and overwhelmed. I wish you could have seen the crowds of women crying and praying over one another here in Alaska. It was a powerful day.

Oh, Glory! I have to tell you a story from the host site I watched the simulcast. We had "partly" cloudy weather in Tulsa, OK. Here - that means just about anything. It could rain all of a sudden, it could just be sunny. Clouds and rain moved in (Must have been that storm you prayed away from Tyler) -- and OH MY the WIND!! (it comes sweeping across the plains, you know) We kept getting delays here and there (God never allowed us to lose the signal - but the delays were just annoying) - and the men who worked on the satellite did their very best to get the best reception possible! During the last 30 minutes of the simulcast - one young man made his way to the roof to hold the satellite antenna so we could watch your final words. May God bless him!
then when we left the church - the sky was just orange with dirt. :-) The enemy did all he could to stop the message from going to our part of the country(I think there were 3 host sites here in Tulsa) - but your word went out and touched many! Praise be to God!!

I am still rejoicing (Spinning around) even today!! God is too much fun.

Hi Beth! I just want to thank you for pouring your heart out and listening to God. I am a youth minister's wife who's church is going through a really difficult situation. I loved the scripture you gave us and how willing you were to listen to God's leading and interrupt your planned message. I felt like God was really talking just to ME. I cried through much of the event and really needed the cleansing and time with the Lord. I appreciate your geniuine spirit and contagious love for the Lord. Thanks much!

Thank You Thank you Thank YOU!
From beginning to end the Spirit hovered over me. I know I've been delivered/recued out of the pit. I will never get close enough to slip back in EVER!
Raising my left arm and hand has profound meaning to me forever more. I can feel His strength infuse me as I hold it up high!
May our God get the all glory for your obedience! Amen

Dear Beth,
I have studied the Word with my girlfriends through "Breaking Free" and "The Patriarchs", and am half way through your book "Get Out of That Pit". Thank you for being obedient to the Lord...my husband and I are preparing for full-time ministry overseas, and because of the freedom I have received through your books and studies, I can be used by God to set free at least 10 - I'm believing for more - women in another nation. The power of God's deliverance is going through North America and beyond!
Thank you!

WOW! I was at a host site in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Saturday and was pulled out of my pit. Yea God!
Thank you so much for your heart, Beth. The ladies in my church and I are already on our second Bible Study of yours and we only started our Church 5 months ago. Your gift has blessed so many of us SO MUCH, that we just can't get enough.
Many of our ladies have a heart to proclaim freedom to women and you have inspired us. You are also mentoring us without even knowing who we are. So, thank you!
I am praying that all the blessings you've allowed God to pour through you will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together and RUNNING OVER!!
