Congratulations and best wishes! I'm so happy for Melissa. I'm a newlywed myself (married in the chapel at Houston's First Baptist in November), so the joy of being united in marriage with the love of my life is still fresh in my mind and heart. Wedding preparations can be crazy, but it really is worth all the trouble. I pray that she has a wonderful wedding day and glorious honeymoon.

Congratulations Melissa & Colin & the whole Moore family! What a beautiful picture of the two of you.
My daughter was married in Aug. '06 and from the very beginning of the planning we prayed for God to be present in every part of the wedding. On our God's Creation calendar for the month of Aug. there was a beautiful picture with a verse that said "My Presence will go with you." Exodus 33:14. I prayed and claimed that verse all through the planning and the day of the wedding, praying that He be ever present. He was present in every way and God blessed us with favor throughout.
I'm praying the same for you, Melissa.
God bless you as you prepare for this most wonderful day of your life!
Love,
Valerie

Congratulations Melissa and Colin on your upcoming wedding. I will add you to my married couples prayer list. (I started a new page in my prayer journal after my oldest son was married May 4, 2007) Today I prayed for you from Ephesians 5:1-2a, that the two of you will be imitators of God as dearly loved children and that you will live lives of love just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us.

To Beth and Keith, congratulations on a job well done. The two of you, by God's grace, (and with no small amount of His help - I'm sure) have raised two lovely women of God.
Blessings to all of you,
Patti

Also, may I along with apparently everyone else on this blog, comment on how stunning the bride-to-be is and how sort of "English-countryside drop dead good looking" is the lucky bloke - even his name fits the English stereotype. All the best and HAVE FUN GETTING READY!!

What a wonderful time for you and your family, our daughters' wedding made the term bitersweet have new meaning for me, I was so proud of her and her choice,(sweet part) bitter was the thought that our home would be sorley missing the infectious laughter she had, and the driving determination that could keep us all on our toes and the joy of long lovely evening talks over a cup of peppermint tea. Please know I am praying for you as you embrace yet another wonderful stage in your walk. Women are such complex creatures, are we not.

Holy Wonderfulness!!!

You look marvelous darling! The two of you will create some good looking kiddos, that for darn sure.

Would love to hear the engagement story. For some peculiar reason, I kind of had this notion one day that Colin would propose on Christmas. Did that happen or did I miss the blog where you spelled it all out for us?

Anyway, lots of love…you’ll be in my poor prayers. (I’m assuming 2008 wedding? Will mark the day and eat some yummy cake to celebrate in Jacksonville, FL.)

Congratulations to Melissa & Colin and also to the "mother & father" of the bride. May God's blessings be with all of you at this most precious time.....
Melissa & Colin: There will be days ahead when you will be so much in love that you think your heart can't stand it AND then there will be days that you think you just have to GET OUT OF SIGHT...My husband & I just celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary and I can say: I love him MORE TODAY than when we married...The "in-between" stuff was just the enemy trying to tear us apart...
May you have many, many long years of loving, learning and rejoicing in the love of God.....
My best to the whole Moore Family....

Melissa, you have passion in your eyes! I just love that picture of you two announcing your future marriage. And Colin...well he has dreamy eyes...full of a deep, smoldering love that can withstand any fiery dart that is hurled at the two of you. I believe that. You two are a match made in heaven! Would you do me a favor and read Psalm 45 to your future husband? It is a messianic psalm about The Bridegroom...and The Bride.
Oh Holy Father, our Melissa has found her soulmate! Thank You, Great God of Romance. You saw in the garden how much Adam needed something more than animals, labor, or beauty...he needed a helpmate fashioned by Your Hands from his very own side. Not just any WO-MAN would do, Lord. It had to be Eve. And in spite of the sin that was so costly...we know YOU as our Lover of our souls. Thank You for not giving up on us. Thank You for loving us and showing us how to love one another. I pray that You would show Colin and Melissa how to love each other with a passion and a deep soulmate kind of love. Bless this marriage with every fruit of the Spirit. Guard their marriage with two HUGE guardian angels standing guard over them. Let Grace and Mercy and Love overflow from the windows, the doors, and the chimney of their home. Yes, Lord...even from the chimney! We know love because You first loved us. You are Love, God! Bring together a wedding that is like a song...a beautiful song that touches the soul. Let this song be a Song of Songs. Bless the families and may all hearts be in tune with You. In Jesus Name. Amen.

wow! what a lovely couple! I remember when Beth referred to Amanda's wedding invitation in one of her Bible studies! It was precious & I know that Melissa's day will be ever as memorable. Many blessings to the entire family! Here's a cute little ditty a well-seasoned sister gave to me on my wedding day... she took my hands into her weathered & worn ones and peered into my eyes and I awaited an anointed blessing from this godly matriarch of our church...she spoke: "May your days be filled with all life's joys...and a house full of girls & a barn full of boys!"
