Welcome, New Siestas!

I just got home from the simulcast a few minutes ago. Wow. What an awesome time in the Word! I didn't realize Beth would be mentioning the blog until right before we got started last night. Now I wish I would've spruced up the place a bit for our first time visitors! Well, at least we can serve them some cake. If this is your first time here, welcome to The LPM Blog!

One of my favorite things that my mom said today was "Speak faith to one another." I just love that statement and I think it encapsulates the purpose of this blog. *Siestas old and new, let's continue to speak faith to one another as long as God has us on this blog.

I'll try to have the commissioning posted for you within the next couple of days. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, ladies! I'm going to take a real siesta now.

*Look at the top right corner of the blog to find out why we call each other "Siestas."

Beth,
This was my first time at a live Simulcast. I enjoyed it from First Baptist Church in Douglas, GA. My husband pastors a small church in the area and I was grateful for the experience today. Thanks for a great time of renewing. I took 3 other ladies from my church and we decided that we were not going to let others steal our joy or our delight. Thanks for your ministry and I would like to personally invite you to Ambrose, GA. Way down south. We love you.

Amanda, thanks for all you do to make this a connecting place for us. It's been a blessing for me to find community here.

I've learned to pray a phrase that I've heard your Mom say before - "Lord, turn us every which way but loose." Wowzahs - did He answer that prayer for me this weekend or what!? I'll be reflecting on what I learned for a while and then DOING something (good) about it!

A note about the cake....I was raised in Garland, Texas which is a suburb of Dallas. My mother made this same cake my whole life. I never knew where she got the recipe, I guess it's just a Texas tradition.

All I can say is I So enjoyed it, took so much away from it and know that it is gonna help me so much to deal with the "desires of my heart" an infertility struggle that has been such a roller coaster ride!! I know that I must never give up on my hearts desire. Thank you Beth for an AWESOME time. I left there so filled with the spirit!!

Good Afternoon Beth! I have had you and all the ladies that were able to attend the Live Simulcast on my heart non-stop the last two days. I just know this weekend was ALIVE and FULL of GOD'S GLORY! I am in-transit right now moving with the military from Va Beach to Amesbury, England and the area I'm in in Georgia right now didn't have a host sight and I was just heart broken. I have missed you ladies from the deepest part of my heart as if I'd missed my best friends' wedding this weekend. I just can't stand it! I can't wait to hear from you and Amanda and Melissa all the "Good News" that came from the event. God is sooo good! Please let us Siestas know if there is any way to view the event online now after the fact. I would sit and watch the whole thing!! My love to you and thanks for all you've done to "Spur me on in His love" for over 8 years now.
Your Siesta,

I attended the Simulcast in south Florida with two friends and I can't tell you how blessed we were through the teaching. In addition to speaking faith to one another I was challenged to continue to memorize scripture...I love the Siesta scripture memory we are doing. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the ministry of this blog and LPM in total.

I just got home from our Living Proof Simulcast and checked out your blog. Our church, East Rogersville Baptist, in Rogersville,TN hosted the simulcast We had over 300 women praising the Lord and growing in the word. I thank you for this weekend of spiritual renewal, focusing in on the Heart of our desires. I also thank our church, our praise and worship band and the many "servants" who made this weekend possible. I thank the Living Proof Ministry for this awesome opportunity. We were unable to be at the actual conference in Green Bay, but through simulcast, it sure felt like we were there! God is so good!

I have never been to a simulcast before and have seen Beth in person a few years ago in Omaha. No difference. It was as if we were all in the same room together because our God is just that big.
There is too much for me to process right now as God hit so many areas for me, but I will be still and let Him speak to me, over me, at me...whatever He wants and needs to do. I am so willing I just am completely surrendered. Available with no areas of my heart that have a "Keep Out" sign on it. He has total access. Thank you for your obedience Beth to share this message. I got it Sister! I got it. One thing I can process completely now is that I will never NEVER give up praying for my prodigal daughter. 19 years old with 2 baby girls she is definitely on the wrong path, but I will get out of God's way because I believe as He did when she was 9 years old He is going to get her. Out of His way. Trust. Belief. Perserverance...
I love you Beth, Girls & team.

This was my first simulcast also. The thing I enjoyed most was it was close to home (about 45 minutes) and I didn't have to spend money for a hotel and the ticket price was very reasonable compared to a huge auditorium. I will be contemplating the desires of my heart and the heart of my desires! Enjoy your teaching immensly - I can "get" it! Jackie

Thanks so much!!!

This has nothing to do w/the above, but are there any new 2009 pics of Beth's GARDEN? The previous year's pictures were soothing to my soul. (An A+ therapy for me is puttering outside: watering my flowers, feeding & watching my birds, pulling weeds...!)

I watched the Simulcast in Mechanicsburg, PA at my home church. IT was wonderful. I could barely write fast enough to get all the great information down! It was great! It is amazing to find those 7 points in the few verses in Psalm 37.
My father passed away this last December and I have found that I have been in a cloud like state in the last few months. I know he is in heaven, but I miss him so much. I am just now breaking out of this cloud and hearing the message this weekend really touched me!
God bless you Beth!

I was wondering if you would post the statement she made towards the end. What she said to the little girl that she talked to who said that she was abused too. Beth threw her shoulders back like the little girl did & said something like God using us & the person who messed with us better watch out. it was very meaningful to us. Thank you so much for coming to Wisconsin!!!

Holy moly, did we just get soaked in the Word, or what!!!! Amazing time here in San Diego at the simulcast. We even had some of that "melt in your mouth" Texas sheet cake, that they had in Nashville. Someone at our site baked the cake and used her oven....(I know it's hot many other places, but it's 110 degrees in San Diego today, so who needs to turn on the oven, we ARE the oven!!) Beth, Thank you for ushering in the presence of the Lord, and the Worship team, thank you for sending the Spirit through the miracle of technology to all of us. Oh my word, what an amazing time in the Lord we've had this weekend! The simulcast was spot on! There were many times when Beth was speaking, "staring me right in the eyes" and speak a word right to me that I thought to myself, she knows I'm over here on the other side. She MUST be able to see me and she knows that is FOR ME!

I'm so glad she gives the Holy Spirit free reign in her life. Her faithfulness to God's word has begun a great work in me.

Thanks Beth. We love you!

Wow, what a tremendous blessing. Our church (Cornerstone Baptist in Cumberland, MD) was a host church this week-end and we have been so excited about this simulcast. I feel sort of like a kid at Christmas, though...a little disappointed it's all over after so many months of planning and praying. We were all challenged by the Word and encouraged to delight in the Lord and not let anyone or anything or any circumstance rob us of our joy. Thank you, also, Travis and praise team for preparing our hearts to worship our awesome God and Savior. God bless you all as you continue to serve Him. Now, I think I'll go make me a C-A-K-E! :) So blessed, Denise Jolley

This is the second time I have seen Beth! I absolutely love her. She makes me laugh and cry at the same time. I took my 13 year old daughter with me to the simulcast at New Hope Church in Springfield, VA. I was so pleased when Beth pulled the young girls out of the audience during Sat's session. At the end of the simulcast Beth had us hold hands with our neighbors and repeat a prayer. Where can I find a copy of that? I want to post it on my refrigerator, mirrow, dashboard, etc.

Oh, you are just going to laugh, Sat. during the morning session while Beth was talking about "her man" the sound went out on teh simulcast and all we could do was see her lips moving and the entire church gave out a gasp...I had a great chuckle, women love a good story and heaven forbid the sound should cut out at the height of it. Thanks Beth and Living Proof for blessing us again with a timely heaven sent word.

Thank you, Thank you so much! I am so thankful Beth doesn't let me get away with just having an experience and going back to normal. I have been to several Living Proof Conferences and listed them just before the simulcast began. Beside each one I wrote what God revealed to me there. Sometimes I have carried through with what He commanded and sometimes I haven't. This weekend He used to reiterate those areas I need to straighten up once and for all. I know it is going to be hard, but I am committed to being committed to Him. He is so cool. All week He has used my bible study time, radio programs, songs and His spirit to prepare me for this weekend and tomorrow and the next day. Thank you God!!!!!
Thanks to your family for your faithfulness!

Hi, I was at the simulcast in Plymouth, Minnesota at Plymouth Covenant church. I am an almost 70 year old in a sea of 20-30 somethings! It was an awesome experience and we had two cakes this morning. One with, and one without, nuts. Wonderful! Tastes much like a Mississippi Mud cake. It will take my brain a while to process all I heard, especially as I'm leading the Daniel study too. I'm praying about having our church involved in the 2010 simulcast, although it's a much smaller church. Much prayer has gone up for Beth and her team as they prepared and brought this to fruition. God bless. Jeanne Wagner

Hi Amanda and Beth

I was watching the Green Bay simulcast at Lake City Church in Madison WI. It was wonderful conference. I have just one question. What was concept point 3? Just when Beth was going to start point 3 on Friday night, we had a severe thunderstorm in our area and the satellite connection went out for a little while. It came back and we got the jest of the concept. I just like the complete sentence for my notes.

LOLOL! But seriously -- I wasn't planning on attending this conference, but "ended up there." It was such a timely word for me -- THANK YOU to everyone at LP for making it happen. Amanda,
Just returned from the simulcast in Colonial Heights, VA. Beth never ceases to amaze me with the way she conveys God's words to us.

She told us Friday that we MUST memorize God's word to use as our protection. I began doing the Siesta Scripture Memory, but soon fizzled out. I became too overwhelmed.

Do you think she would share with us her acrostic using our alphabet as David did with Psalm 37?

Thanks for a great weekend. Now,my darling siesta, "go do good."

Beth and ALL of your outstanding team members,
Thanks so much for putting forth the work and hours of time needed to broadcast an LPL event via simulcast. Even though other events crammed my agenda, God had an appointment for me at First Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, SD. I look at my notes amazed at the lyrics, Scripture, and insights that were aimed directly at my heart. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me from and for all eternity and for giving me encouragement and strength for the journey - not to mention the promise of delight along the way! It's just to much to take in. . . Love you all for your servanthood and for being ALIVE and DOING GOOD in this time and this place.

Beth I loved this simulcast weekend. It was such a great reminder to not let others steal your joy. When I got home my sixteen year old son and I were starting one of our usual arguments and I decided to stop and tell him what I learned at the conference and how I wanted to work through it without getting angry. I actually thought about what my hidden desires were and what I was getting angry about. We had a good healthy conversation and we worked through our conflict peacefully and it was a huge blessing to me to put into practice what I had just heard. I realized that I have desires for how my son will be or act and he has his unique personality and his own desires. This can cause a lot of tension between us! I am guilty of comparing him to other kids instead of enjoying the person God has made him to be. Thanks for showing me a beter way.
I can't wait to try the cake recipe I just printed out. It is my DESIRE that I not gain any weight from this delicious cake!!!

I watched the simulcast in Hollywood, FL. What an awesome message! I don't think I will ever forget this message and it just hit home for me. I took to heart the new lessons and even received confirmation for a couple things that I thought the Lord had been telling me (like rest in Him), but I wasn't sure. I sure do need to trust my spiritual instincts a little more than I do, but this gave me some added confidence to know when it is God speaking to me! When Beth speaks you just know God is speaking through her, directly to you. I can't wait to be able to participate again in one of Beth's conferences.

Lots of love from one siesta to all other siestas! I can only imagine what heaven will be like when, one day, we will all be there together!

Beth,
This was my first time at a live event (via simulcast). We took 20 ladies from our church and several others bought tickets with friends and were there also. I have participated in 3 Bible studies but let me tell you, you carved away layers upon layers of STUFF I have carried with me for over 30 yeaqrs. I feel so much lighter, freer and closer to God.
Back in January I wanted me a Jesus year. I have to say I didn't have a clue what that would look like. Both oh baby, I want it every year, every day and every second. I have learned the scriptures and I now know what it means to wield it. Thank you so much for helping me see my Jesus year through. (only 4 more months this year and 2 of them I get to go to real live events. God is good!)
Thank you so much for sharing youir ride with me and leading ever so tenderly at God's leading.

Hi Beth,
We were the only church in Nevada that hosted you this weekend, and it was just fantastic. 64 women came from surrounding areas in Reno, and 2 young ladies drove all the way from Vegas, that is what you call Commitment! This is the very first time I have Blogged, and may be the last but I must tell you from the very beginning when we signed with Lifeway to host your simulcast, on through the testing, all of the materials sent, our communications with your team of streamers (is that really a word?) the Worship, (can you imagine if it is this good on earth how wonderful it will be in heaven )and your beautiful, annointed, serious, challanging, humorously relatable teaching style, everything was done so excellent and professional, I just wanted you to know that GOD DELIGHTS IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND HOW YOU AND YOUR TEAM ARE DOING IT FOR WOMEN ACCROSS THE GLOBE!.
I am the wife of the Pastor here at The River Church and you must know that when we announce your studies coming up, I tell our church, "Ladies I really do not like Women's Bible Studies but these I like. We loved the Daniels Study so very much we are starting it again this next week.
We so appreciate all that you do Beth, and you need to know that. Thank you for answering His Call on your life. Blessings to you and your family, Stacey Halecky (are you suppose to sign your name at the end of a Blog?) I must learn bloggginG protcal.

Beth,
I have just returned from my first Living Proof Life event at Summit Church in Estero, Florida. WOW! I have been walking in faith for quite some time, but lately I have found myself questioning if God has forsaken me, or simply just doesn't care. I keep telling the enemy he won't win and to move on! I keep praying to God to lighten my burdens for I am weary and I want to see my son in Heaven. Life on earth has been so hard for the past 4 years. On my birthday in 2006, I buried my father after the hold of Alzheimer's claimed his mind, the next year God took my beloved son Jacob home after a horrendous battle following his bone marrow transplant, my beautiful daughter turns from God because He didn't save her brother, three months later my husband begins an affair and abandons my younger son and I, and this year we have had our home and our vacation cabin taken from us, our car, our savings, my job! All that we have worked for. And through it all I continue to keep my eyes on my God, that he must have some purpose for my life, why else would I still be here? This past week I began to doubt that He even cared about me, that he wasn't listening and I became discouraged, and doubtful that I would EVER find joy again. I must add that God did work a miracle and convicted my husband who returned home to our family this past Christmas, and he is here because he wants to be here. But still, where is my joy? I had resigned myself to the fact that I would simply exist, take up space, and try to "do good". But I wanted more. And I got it...through the blessing of you Beth Moore, and your gift from God to touch others. Thank you God, thank you Beth and all your staff, and to the other 516 churches who took part in this wonderful weekend. I do have a purpose, I do matter to God, and I WILL NOT LET ANYONE STEAL MY DELIGHT! I will continue to carry out my son Jacob's mission (www.jakesmission.com)and do good in this world that so sorely needs more people standing up for what's right and good.

Hugs,

Janet L. Martin

Beth,
Thank you so much for meeting with us this weekend via simulcast. I was able to hear you speak this weekend from Wichita Ks. It was an incredible blessing to me. I know that for many days and weeks I am going to be pondering the words God spoke to my heart. I just turned 40 a couple weeks ago and I have been struggling with why God has not answered some long held desires in my life. I was diagnosed at the age of 34 with breast cancer and praise the Lord I am doing well now. But, my husband and I have so desired to adopt a child since my diagnosis. However, He has been completely silent. I have really been questioning Him on why He has not answered. I am thankful that you showed me it could be that He is working out glory in my life, destiny, or I need to wait a little longer. I will be praying over this and asking God to show me His will.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for always blessing me with His words though your bible studies, simulcasts, books, etc. May you be greatly blessed!

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! You blessed my socks off!! God reaffirmed what he has been telling me for 18 months now.

Thank you confirming that I am not to give up until God releases me. I have lived the last 18 months with "Keep doing the last thing God told me until He tells me to do something else." God told me to wait and I have been waiting.

When I first received that word, I told my friend I have my duct tape and I am "stuck" to God for the duration. I am dancing with Him as He leads me. Every so often, my friend asks me about my duct tape. Well, I just broke open my 12th, 13th, 14th, . . . case and still sticking to what God has told me.

At one point, I was really getting discouraged. I had been shopping and was standing in the "express line" which was not very "expresssly" at the moment. I was not in any big hurry and I like to watch people. As I glanced around I spotted some people, that reminded me of my continual pleas to God.

I silently prayed, "Lord, you know I want to be where You would have me. If at all possible, could You show me I am doing what You would have me do." As I glanced back around, I spotted the same people. The only thing the man had in his hand to purchase was the biggest role of duct tape I had ever seen!!!

I had to chuckle. As I continued to talk to God, I said, "Well, You did not have to answer that prayer, You did not have to answer so quickly, and You have the greatest sense of humor!!"

Though I continue to wait, I KNOW I am where God would have me. Thank you for your ministry, for being obedient to what God would have you say, and using your gifts and talents for His glory!

May God continue to bless your ministry and family as they both grow.

What a great Simulcast! This was my first time. I could listen to you speak for days and never get bored. God has blessed her greatly. You mentioned memorizing the Bible according to the alphabet. Would you be willing to share her verses? It is a challenge I want to take. I took over 8 journal pages of notes, can't wait to review them and see what new comes to me! Thanks Beth for being used by God and for challenging me in my faith!

Just got home an hour ago from a simulcast in Fresno, CA and was blessed immensely... SO SO many things God spoke to me that I SO SO needed to hear RIGHT NOW. I just love how He does that. Yesterday morning He was already talking to me about how I'd been avoiding being "REAL" with Him and how much it was hindering our closeness and now I know I was "repressing." : ) I'll be going over my notes for weeks, I'm sure - as God keeps bring the Words back. Thank you so much for everything!!! Many blessings back to y'all as you are restored in Him.

Hi Beth, I am new to blogging and didn't realize I had to do a bunchof stuff to sign on.anyway thanks for your GB event yesterday and today. It was awesome. I was one of the signers and felt a bit challenged though blessed to be part of it. I loved Travis music too! YOu blessed me when you shared how you have prayed for your beloved husband as a "strong woman". I have had and continue to have struggles in this area and need to continually remind myself to let God take care of my husband's spiritual growth and to instead work on my own. I have been in 6 of your studies and plan to take a 7th soon at my church,Spring Lake church in GB, Living Beyond Yourself, a study on the Fruits of the Spirit. You are a blessing and an encouragement to me and to many!! Love, KarenSeas P.S. I did get the recipe for your "healthy" cake and plan to try it, provided my cholesterol does take off for the sky!

I watched the simulcast from Calvary in Dothan, Al. It was wonderful! My family was there and it was just what we needed to hear. I had an Aunt who was suddenly killed in a car accident this summer. It was wonderful for my family to be a part of this event. My cousin who lost her mother was there as well as my Grandmother and we all agreed it was a delight hearing from Beth!

I attended the simulcast via satelite in San Angelo, Texas @ The Heights Baptist Church. I was accompanied by 3 other ladies I do "Beth" bible studies with and my mom and another good friend of ours. Speaking on my own behalf, I love how God is using Beth to speak out over the World and get His message in to all our ears! A lady in our group commented "Beth has a way of bringing out the emotion of God's word." I couldn't agree more! BETH--thank you for what you do and for teaching us & leading us to KNOW that God truly deserves all our GLORY & PRAISE!! God has used you to change our lives and we are forever grateful!

I really enjoyed the simulcast. I was amazed by the power in the message, and was beginning to really feel a deep connection, and then whamo, the enemy hit me. I ran into a woman I know during the very last break, and she made a hurtful comment that just deflated me like a balloon. I was amazed that Beth talked specifically about that very thing, while I was sitting there trying to get my heart back in focus... God just knew... I had an immediate opportunity to pause and think "What's taking a bite out of my delight?" and use the J.A.W. acronym. Thanks for sharing Miss Beth!

We watched the simulcast at our church and enjoyed and acted as if we were right there in Greenbay with you! I took tons of notes, and have so much to go back and meditate on. One part that just spoke to me was waiting for my man to step up and be the man of God that I thought he should be. You couldn't have gotten any closer if you had said my name!
I was truly blessed, and thank the Lord for all the LPM Ministry.

This was my first time for a Simulcast and it was fantastic. Our little town of Hamburg AR population under 4000 had around 250-275 ladies present and even a few men. I learned so much and much more that I will ponder and talk to God about. Loved everything about it. The music, the message, the fellowship and food, when Beth said she was from Arkansas a big yell went up in the First Babtist sanctuary. We are already making plans to host it again next year. My husband does not do much more than just attend church with me, although I am grateful he does that I have felt for so long I can not be what God has called me with out an even stronger husband standing behind me. I realized today I dont need an even stronger husband I need a stronger God which he already is. Thanks so much for that little piece you said it opened a whole new realm of realization in me and really spoke to my heart. I cant wait hear more in the future. We love you here in Arkansas!!! Wow!! Did I ever need the simulcast this weekend. I have been desperately seeking God on whether to give up on a husband who has a serious addiction and beginning to lose faith that things will ever change and I got the message loud and clear from Beth to wait and trust in the Lord and the most important thing I learned was to stop letting the circumstances of addiction steal my joy. It will never again rob me of the joy of the Lord I have on the inside. Beth you are such a blessing to all us women out there who are stuggling with something in our lives. You are living proof of what we can be if we don't give up, if we just keep trusting in God till our breakthrough comes. Thanks so much. Amarillo Tx loves you!!!! And thanks to the rest of the Moore family for sharing Beth with us.

But honorable mentions would be:

-Delight is a Venti Joy with an extra shot! You KNOW I thought of that this morning when I went through the Starbucks line and the barista said, "That's a no fat Venti White Mocha with an extra shot, no whip." He actually called it a TRIPLE VENTI!!! (I was the host coordinator at Thompson Station Church and needed my extra shot!) That's what I want -- A TRIPLE VENTI OF JOY because that must be a whole lot of DELIGHT!

-"Christ is not to be the top priority of our life...He IS our life!"

-Micah 7:8, 18 - He "delights to show mercy." He does not just tolerate me!

-"Humility sets us up for intimacy with Him like nothing else."

-"Till faith becomes sight, trust God and do good!"

Love Psalm 37:3 in The Amplified: "Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed."

I'm going to live on this one and this is my next Scripture memory passage.

But on a side note, can I just say that Beth ROCKED THE CHIASTIC STRUCTURE WITH POINT #2!

"Beneath the desire of our hearts is the heart of our desire."

We had a ball at TSC this weekend and absolutely roared with the shout out by both Travis (our homeboy) and Beth!

Absolutely humbled to have God even consider using us to host these sweet women in our church this weekend.

Now do what I told my team this afternoon: go to a quiet place and get you some rest!

"Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, 'Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.'" Mark 6:31 NIV

Blessings,
Dori

I went to the simulcast in Kalamazoo,MI with my mother-in-law and also my best friend. We all got a word! I loved the J.A.W. concept. I, too, like to make acronyms out of words, so that TOTALLY resonated with me. This weekend I was convicted, challenged and encouraged! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone involved! Loved the worship with Travis and his team and God's message to me through Beth! I am praying that You all have a relaxing weekend!

Thank you Lifeway and Living Proof for all you did to make it such a special time. Thank you Travis for singing with an icky voice on the mend. :-) We love you all! Yes welcome new siestas! I have been reading the LPM blog since the very first post by our siesta mama Beth! I cannot tell you how much I have been blessed by the posts from our beloved contributors but I have also been blessed by my siestas in Christ that I have "met" through this community . Some of you I have had the joy of meeting face to face but many of you have delighted me just through your responses. I feel safe and loved here! I hope you will too!

I just wanted to say as a response to the simulcast, that today, Saturday August 29th 2009, my life has been forever changed! I will NOT ever get over this! Praise the Lord for how He used His servant this weekend!

Much love!

Psalm 37, my second favorite Psalm; 139 is number one.

Thank you for the lesson!

Truly there was an avalanche of the Holy Spirit's annointing.

My prayer is that I will be changed from today on; I want to go about doing good for the glory of God.

Beth,
This was my first time at one of your conference. My spiritual life has grown through breaking free and the Patriarch studies that I have done in the last two years. I was not disapointed with our short time together in Green Bay. You helped me to focus on my hearts and to pray that God will make my Desires his. I had found that I had become content in my life and walk and had not been striving to grow. I don't know where my journey will take me, but I do know that I will do it with Joy and Delight and not let anyone take it from me. Thank you for allowing God to minister to me through you.

Hello-
I just got home from the simulcast as well..we ( my mom, aunt and a big group of us girls) drove to Green Bay from Upper Michigan. I really enjoyed the message and the part about patiently waiting especially spoke to me. It pulled at my heart when you talked about a 25 year old girl who was single and widowed. I am 25 as well.. I was not widowed but my boyfriend who I lived with and spent every day with decided to end his life and I found him. I began self-medicating with alcohol and got into some trouble. But, because of this horrible thing that happened I evetually turned to the Lord and realized that I wanted to help people. I went on a mission trip to an orphanage in Honduras and it was so fufilling to help people that are less fortunate. I also went on a trip to Panama and stayed with a less fortunate family who lived in the Panamanian countryside. The family had seve children and barely made $50 a month. I learned what it was like to live with no electricty and a latrine for a toilet. We truly are privelged to be able to buy a book and read it! The mother of the family became ill with a gall bladder problem before I left and I doubt they can pay for the surgery. I was wondering if there was some way to raise the money for them!! Thank you so much for the awesome message this weekend. Helping the unfortunate has become the desire of my heart!
Thank you

I attended the simulcast in Rocky Mount, NC. This was my third Living Proof Gathering. And as the past 2 times I walked out with a renewed sense of the word of God! Lately, I have been feeling God has been picking on me with the things that have happened in my life. But I know now that I have to be still and wait patiently. I know that I may not get the answers to my questions until I get to the gates of heaven. Plus, I have to get out of the way for God to do his work. I too, keep leaving suttle hints to "my man" but I will step back. The whole gathering seemed to address my whold life at this point. And I thank you for your honesty and keeping it real!

All I can say is WOW! One thing that I am doing is meditating on the words that were spoken this weekend. Beth said that we should really receive the Word God has for us and then share it. I am really taking that to heart! Also, I had blogged about the toughest thing I am going through right now, and God was there big time. My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer about a week ago, and at the Live Simulcast during the break, I got up to take a "break" and my Mom stayed. She said she felt God said stay here someone is going to talk to you about your breast cancer. She sort of shrugged it off. Then, didn't a lady come sit next to her and say, I am supposed to come over here and tell you I am a breast cancer survivor. Well, what a blessing. We had our tickets given to us this weekend or we would have never been able to go. My Mom came away knowing God sees her and loves her and knows her circumstance. Oh he is wonderful! And the message was just so amazing, just what we needed to hear.
xoxo Lisa

What an amazing weekend in the Word, with women of God and with my girls. Like the young ladies Beth brought into the aisle this morning, my two daughters (Rebekah-13 and Sarah-10) were able to "meet" the Beth they have heard me love on since they were small. They each took notes feverously and excitedly recounted many truths to their father and brother at lunch today. I hope they will begin to pray for themselves, as their father and I continually do, that they will love the Lord and His Word above all else.

On a personal note, I am coming out of a season of discouragement and confusion. Prayers for direction were answered mightily as I listened to Travis and Beth today. I am ready to press on. No more splenters from fence dwelling! I am ready to commit it all to Him anew trusting that He will begin to fill "a void" only He can see now that I have put before His throne all the things I have been "avoiding"! I am so excited. Like my favorite song of Travis', I'm "longing for The Deep".

Thank you for the investment you made in my life and the lives of my daughters this weekend. I know its fruits will be found in future generations of our family - and many others!

All our love and appreciation from Beaumont, Texas

I had a fantastic time at the simulcast this weekend... I received "a word" from God just in Beth's introductory note.

...to see Christ give some holy CPR to a mom of 3 preschoolers and assure her that He's going to give her the daily strength to make it through the third round of potty training."

THAT IS ME!! and the fourth round is not far behind... Heaven help me!!

Thank you so much for all you do!
I am soo excited to hear that you will be posting the commissioning, I was going to ask for that, it meant the world to me!

Beth,
Thank you so much for blessing me this weekend with the simulcast! I am 23 and recently married. I moved away from my home state to my hubby's hometown where I know NOBODY! And I have a controlling mother in law so I have really struggled the last few months and just felt so alone in this small town. I drove past a church in town and saw a sign for the simulcast this weekend. I called my mom and asked her what she thought and she encourgaed me to go and also said she would drive to see me and we could go together. It was such a wonderful time to meet other Christian ladies and you spoke on my favorite verses!!! I felt so encouraged in the end to not give up praying for my MIL and to delight myself in the Lord! Thanks!! and God bless you!

Great work Beth! It felt like you were directly talking to me today. I've been having a struggle of feeling accepted in this world and my ex-manager fired me for discriminatory reasons so yes I had the A word all summer. I've been dealing with a heavy duty depression and had Satan tell me that I will never get the desires of my heart. Today I walked free with Hope in my heart that things are going to be okay One Day at a Time.

In that moment time stopped for me because GOD was speaking through her. She said "She has my husband, GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF IT" Destiny-Glory. WOW!! Needless to say I was brought to tears and was completely beside myself. I so needed the encouragement of this weekend and everything Beth said was truly and ultimately inspired by GOD!!! AMEN & AMEN

To the LPM Staff & Beth,

I have done my best to be careful not to put any Christian leader/speaker, pastor or author on a pedestal. God alone gets the glory for how His Word reaches my heart. But Beth, I believe you are one of the most influencial and impacting speakers of the modern age. Your messages and lessons are deeply rooted in God's Word. You expound truth in such a profound and moving way. I rarely hear you speak without leaving blessed and changed.
To God Alone Be The Glory. I attended the simulcast event this weekend at Grace Bible Church in Dunmore PA.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I know that Beth, you can't do what you do alone. To your husband and family who support you and work with you. To all the staff, the technitions behind the scenes, the stage decorators and graphic artists that aid in the worship experience, to your secretary and assistants (whomever those dear souls may be) - the unsung heros who tirelessly work behind the scenes so that the Word of God can be proclaimed, THANK YOU! To Travis Cottrell and the entire praise and worship band and singers, THANK YOU. I was so very blessed this weekend.
May your hearts and lives be blessed above and beyond all you can ask or think.

Delighting in Christ tonight,
Julie from PA

Hello ladies. I just wanted to say thank you all so very much for this simulcast. God so very used you this weekend. It was like every word was spoken straight to my heart. I took my children and left an abusive relationship in November. Since then I have been praying for some pretty big things:the desires of my heart. I guess I never really viewed them as such in relation to scripture. But that is what they are. The two other things that struck me so greatly were "The heart of your desires" and not allowing others to steal your joy.

I know I got chatty on you guys. But I just wanted to say thank you for letting God use you to minister to me.

Thank you so much for encouraging us from God's word this weekend thru the simulcast. I have been greatly discouraged by events over the past year that have affected my young son. Recently my husband also lost his job and has not been able to find another as of yet. After hearing Beth, I am confident that God will grant me the desires of my heart, even in the midst of an uncertain future. I am reminded I can trust in him and will not be forsaken. My hope in HIM is renewed in dramatic ways. Thank you so much.

I was blown away and really felt the Holy Spirit minister to me this weekend through your teaching, Beth. I was feeling so defeated and angry when I went to the Simulcast Friday night but knew that I needed to hear a fresh word from my loving God through an INCREDIBLE teacher. God showed up, softened my heart and I gained a new way of looking at my circumstances and how I deal with the stress. Parenting a child with special needs is a challenge but I just want to be the best mom I can possibly be. I'm trusting Him with all that I am knowing that He will help me as I do the work and deal with the sadness and anger so I can get to the delight.

Thank you, Beth, for another lesson that seemed to speak directly to my heart...I esteem you highly.

And Amanda and Melissa, thankyou for sharing your Mom with us and for using your gifts to bring God the glory!

Thank you for sharing God's Word so faithfully. The simulcast was absolutely amazing! All of the Godly desires the Lord has been putting on my heart for years, make sense now, they are HIS desires for me. Not only something I'm supposed to do to obey HIM(what if I failed?)...but what he desires me to do. And, if He desires me to do it, then I have to succeed in HIS will...even if I fell on my face, I would succeed in HIS will! :) Love, Lisa

We were thrilled when you came through loud and clear after several minutes. Thank you for speaking God's words! How did you know that I needed the lesson you delivered... thanks to God!? I really believe that I was completely missing this element in my understanding and I cannot wait to look it over and share it with my husband!

Blessings!

I did not decide until about an hour before the Simulcast whether or not I was going to attend. You see, my dearest friend went home to be with the Lord three weeks ago and my emotions are raw. I don't know anyone personally who loves Jesus more than Susan. The last Simulcast I went to was with her. My beloved husband encouraged me to go so I went by myself. I was reading the program while waiting for the Simulcast to begin. I read on page 3 ... when women do this kind of thing together, all of heaven becomes an audience. Hallelujah! I found these words very comforting and when Shout to the Lord was played at the end of worship today, I smiled and shouted at the top of my lungs to our Lord. This same song was played at my friend's funeral. I know my friend is shouting praises without ceasing. Beth, you said today "give someone a handful of your faith." I have my handfuls ready!

I attended the live simulcast in High Point, NC. God is awesome and his timing perfect. Just a few hours before the Friday night session began, I lost the second job in 6 months. And for the second time, nothing logical about it. How good is a God who proves Ps. 91 is true? Even before the session began, God began to speak to me about the purpose and it had nothing to do with the job, just like the first time. My loving God is using this for a higher purpose in my life and I say, "Do the thing, Lord, do the thing. Take it and let's run with it!" God needed my attention and He got it. For one, I've waited for Him to do that work in my husband, but he hasn't. He clearly wants to do some stuff in me. In order for my desires to be fulfilled in ministry, I must have right relationship with my husband. So God was Sovereign over something devastating, only to wrap his arms around me lovingly and begin pouring in 3 sessions of rich words from a willing vessel. You'll never know, Beth, what your willingness to be broken and poured out has done. Your willingness to pour out so powerfully is being sucked through the straw by this siesta, and I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. Be blessed.

Beth,
This has been one of the most life changing events I have been blessed to attend. I have seen you several times, but this time God tailored the message just for me. I have been struggling with a daughter who has become increasngly rebellious for the past nine years. She is sixteen by the way. I have been praying for her for fifteen years. God has promised to heal her. The progress has been so painfully slow. To avoid some of the hurt I had shut down, going through life but not living it. I felt that God had abandoned me. He no longer cared about what was happening in my life. I have always been single and prayed for a husband... no man in sight, yet. I adopted this child who seems to relish my misery. No healing for her yet. But God...oh how I love that. But God, allowed me to hear a word just for me. He said through you, Beth, that He is faithful. He loves me. He delights in me. He wants to give me what I desire, but I must delight in Him. I have to wait. I have to take charge and not let ANYTHING corrupt my desires and steal my delight. I am now leaving the future husband and the rebellious child at God's feet. I am turning my desires, all of them, over to the Lord. I am learning to feel again. Losing the callouses from my feet. I once again have hope. Thanks so much for your faithfulness to deliver God's word. Love you Beth and all at LP ministries.

Now, to figure out how to use this to get the most of out it. I can only say "Thank You".

Hi Amanda, Beth, Melissa, and LPM:
The simulcast was great! Miss you all so much I could just cry. Seriously, I would have given anything just to hug your necks in person.
About the message. There is so much that I am reeling seriously from the Amount Of Him. Swooning-
I can hardly stand it. I had been going through the Psalm earlier this week and came upon that galal word. I wouldn't have known it except because of Believing God which I've taken and then taught. The nostrils flaring made me laugh because appropriately God describes in detail our anger. The words that killed me were:
Wait Patiently. The dance/twist/writhe of the whole thing. I have just laid on the floor like that with God because of having such a hard time waiting. We are in the midst of waiting even now in the middle of this weekend for Him.
My daughter who is 13 came with me and took copious notes. She really was tickled when you pulled those two teenagers out of the audience because they were her age. Also, without knowing her, you mentioned that God is Delighted with a little girl who keeps a prayer journal. Without me knowing, she started a prayer journal 6 months ago. She puts down the request and the date, and then the date He answers. She informed me that He ALWAYS answers. Thank you for getting out of the way so He could speak. I love you friend and am thanking God for you. I bet you're tired. Also, me and puzzlepiece sista just did a little happy joy dance to Yah over news of your loved one. We have prayed for her ever since you mentioned her a long long time ago. We also pray for your brother.
I love you. I will be Still before I liason (sp?) any more information so I can assimilate it.
I am sure you Delighted Him this weekend!

Beth,

I just had a wonderful weekend with you!! I was in Clayton, NC and our Women's Ministry at my Church (Hocutt Memorial Baptist) hosted your LPM Simulcast and what an exciting weekend we had! What a true blessing to be a part of this event. Over 200 women representing 33 Churches were in attendance at our Church. We have warned our Pastor that a Revival has started amongst the women! Of course we give all the glory to God Almighty for such a wonderful experience this weekend and also we thank Him for you and we thank you for being obedient to His call on your life. You are a true blessing to women (and the few brave men that hang in there!). Seriously though, thank you for you and your staffs commitment to Christ and to the work of His Kingdom. Travis and the Praise team were awesome also. I am still flying high! Because as you know "there is no high greater than the Most High" !
We love you!

Hi. I went to the simulcast in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was my first simulcast and it was awesome! There was a group of about 25 from my church, Breiel Blvd. Church of God. God really talked to me and I heard others from the group that were deeply impacted as well. I have renewed hope that God will grant me the desires of my heart. I am so grateful for this weekend. I feel like Beth is such a part of my life...I am glad that she radiates Jesus so much! I decided to join your intercession team to pray for LPM each Monday. Thank you very much for all you have done for my life. Love, Dana Hallgarth

Beth,
I am a 32 year old mom of two girls. I had the best time at the your Simulcast. It was life changing for me. Thank you so much! Tears rolled down my cheeks as you had us say that prayer at the end of the conference. You said so many things that I have said to myself. I have an addiction to food. I am an emotional eater. Instead of getting mad and yelling at others I use food. I get sad or depressed I use food to comfort. I think it started when my dad passed away when I was 16. I did not know how to deal with the pain. I starved myself for a period of years and I felt God delivered me but then I moved on to emotionally eating. God and I have a lot of work to do but thank you because it peeled off some layers like an onion this weekend. I miss my dad and for a long time I blamed God. I dealt with that and had a cry fest with some counselors but I still miss him and it still hurts especially when I look at my girls. God does have a sense of humor though. My youngest daughter not only looks like my dad but acts like him in so many ways. Thanks for all you do! I am really excited about next year. I wish it was here already.

I was in Green Bay with my MIL. We both loved it! We just finished Esther with our women's group and were so excited to see Beth in person. It was very emotional for us to commission each other at the end.

Thanks for a great event.

Beth, Travis, Praise team,
The Simulcast was wonderful, uplifting, and I feel like I have had a fresh breath of the Spirit. Travis' home church hosted the Simulcast. Thank you for making this a way to attend LPL near our hometowns.
We love you!

Beth, I've been listening to the Lord through your speaking and bible studies for over 10 years now. I had the unique pleasure of sitting next to my friend who has never heard you before. We were only able to attend Friday night b/c we both had to work the next day. She cried through most of it and I foolishly didn't go get a box of kleenex! Some friend I am, but I was held so captive. The Lord had such a huge word for her and lots to say to my heart too. Thank you for being a vessel of his glory and power. You just ooze Him all over us. I am so glad you are going to post the commissioning. I did not know the person I joined hands with but I got her email address and would love to have what we spoke to each other in writing. That way, we can lift up each other in prayer and encourage each other over email. I spoke over her with my full heart in it but my mind does not remember all the phrases. Thanks Amanda!

Beth,I was with my mom and 16 year old daughter. It was a blessing to worship with both of them during your conference.I was convicted about spending too much time on the internet(facebook and email). I am a teacher and considered that my ministry which I felt is a good thing. Now, I see if I want unsaved people to believe as I do and do what is right through Jesus our Savior, I need to be willing to show the love of Christ which is good all the time! Thank you Beth for allowing God to use you and thank you for being able to speak for such long amounts of time in order to do what God has in His mind for your life. You are such as a blessing!

Oh girlfriends, it may have been a "Simulcast," but it was very, very real to me! I've been blessed to be at the LPL event in Detroit, and three Simulcasts. Can hardly wait 'til Grand Rapids next May!

I noticed someone asked about a DVD of the Simulcast. If it is at all possible, I'd love to buy a copy, especially to minister to my niece who battles with an addiction to Heroin. Please let us know if it's going to be available. Thanks!

Caaaake! Betcha we have it at our upcoming first session of Esther for our women's Bible study!

We love you up here, darlin' Moore's! xoxox

140 days for your loved one...

Oh Beth, you have to know that when you told us that, I lept out of my seat in Alexandria, Virgina and celebrated with you! I have heard you talk about this loved one before and I am thrilled to hear this!

I have 8.5 months of sobriety. I know what it's like to be the on both sides...the one waiting for a loved one and to be the one who everyone is waiting on. I was unprepared for addiction to be addressed during the simulcast. I think at 8.5 months, I thought I had it all figured out and didn't need to give it another moment of my attention. But then you reminded me that "addiction takes over identity" and I realized that, even though my last drink was last November, I still need to find myself. I have been afraid of who I will find. "How do I want this to turn out?" I guess it's time to do this thing!

I will be praying for your loved one every day and rejoicing in the freedom that I know she is discovering.

Thank you, Beth. And much, much love to you.

~A

It never ceases to amaze me how God uses Beth to speak right to the very heart of where I am. After 5 yrs of struggling in what was for years an almost perfect marriage, I have been from one end of the spectrum to the other. I recently came home after a short separation. My decision was 100% driven by the Lord and the work he is doing in me. Nothing has changed with my husband. This weekend was such a encouragement and great reminder that NOTHING EXTERNAL HAS THE POWER TO STEAL MY DELIGHT, unless I give it that power. Thank you, Beth for helping me rediscover my delight.

Beth, we had an awesome time at the simulcast this weekend here in little Sylva in the southern mountains of NC. We are so thankful that a local church is committed to hosting the simulcast. When seeing you "in person" like this I'm reminded of your passion and zeal for the word. When are you coming back to NC or eastern TN...we all love you in this part of the world.

I have a bone to pick with Beth. Today in the simulcast, you said that sometimes God has to say to us, "Shut thee up!" That is so true; He says it to me quite often. However, my best friend feels it necessary to say it to me OVER and OVER now! Good grief!

The simulcast was wonderful! I had the privilege of attending one in McDonough, GA. It always amazes me that God can speak to me and give me just what I need exactly when I need it! What's even more amazing is that He spoke to me in the midst of 90,000 plus women! Thank you for your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit!

I can still hear Beth say "When we leave here at Noon tomorrow we won’t have it all figured out – but we will be greatly encouraged." Thank you!!

Psalm 37:4 – Delight thyself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

1. Nothing dictates our lives like our desires.

2. Beneath the desires of our heart is the heart of our desires.

3. Delighting in God adapts our desires into inevitabilities.

4. Nothing external can steal our right to delight.

5. To make room for delight we gotta commit.

6. Nothing is passive about patiently waiting for desire to turn into delight.

7. Till faith becomes sight trust God and do good.

Beth, you are an inspiration. This weekend was the first time I had the privilage of hearing you speak at the Simulcast. My Grandmother and I attended and your encouragement to not give up on family in bondage was right on the mark. My mother has been held in bondage by the Jehovahs Witness church for 40 years and I have just about given up hope. The delight of my heart is to have my mother back in my life. Thank you for your encouragement to not give up.

Just have to write tonight! I wasn't even planning on going to the simulcast. We have just gotten back from "Deeper Still" in Greensboro, NC about a month ago and my husband had his "Men at the Cross" event this weekend. There was no way I was going to hinder that and I knew he would not go if I wanted to go to the simulcast. Anyway, on Wednesday my dear friend and pastor's wife called to say that it had been put up on the blog what Beth would be speaking from this weekend. I nearly fainted when she said it was Psalms 37!!! I have spent extensive time there this summer as God gave me Psalms 37 to help us deal with some things a friend's family and my family were going through. And, vs 4-5 had been one of my very first memory verses for the Siesta Scripture Memory Team. I just knew that God wanted me and my friend to be there....no matter what! So I set about, on Wednesday no less, to find a sitter (we have 4 kids between us), get tickets and make all the arrangements. You know God was all over it and it all just fell right into place. Don't you just love it when He shows off like that?! I knew the Word we would receive this weekend would be a mighty one, and oh boy, did He not disappoint! Like many have said already, I am still processing much of it, but the "JAW" acronym will be forever in my heart and mind. I so seek to remove anything that will stop me from delighting in Him! The worship was awesome and it was just like being there. I am so glad God met us in Clayton, NC and spoke words we will never forget. Thank you all for being so faithful and giving of your lives and time to bring women into His presence. I am completely and totally in awe and blown away by HIM!!

In His Love,

I attended the simulcast at a church in Michigan, and was blessed. Thank you Beth!!

I am also looking for additional notes on point #5 that anyone can share with me, I missed some of it: "To make room for delight, we've got to commit." Commit to what? Making a decision about our life, or commit first to a decision about God?

Thanks!

Thank You from Frederick, Maryland.
I loved the simulcast, my first. It truly was like being right there in person.
I am still trying to take it all in. I know God is working within my heart, some areas I am well aware of but others not so much.
I came home and was telling my husband about it, and bawled through the conversation, bawled all day, and still weep as I read the tranformations that have/are taking place. My husband said it must have been very emotional, I told him God was doing heart surgery on me without anesthesia (SP)
To know that God delights in me is as monumental as finding out he calls me friend.
Thank you Lord for using Beth to touch the hearts of women and a few brave men today. Bless the team and the 90,000 plus who heard your Word. Amen

I attended the simulcast in San Antonio, Texas with my 20 year old daughter. Thank you Amanda for posting the commissioning later. My daughter and I held each other at the beginning of the commissioning but I got to the point where I couldn't even get the words out. I was just so overcome by the Holy Spirit as I looked into my daughters eyes and repeated the words Beth was speaking to us. We are so committed to delight in the Lord and keep our JAW in check!

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the event live in Green Bay this weekend with two of my friends and my mother-in-law! My mother-in-law was really touched by God this weekend, she is going through a rough time right now in her marriage but is being refined through the fire and is becoming a warrior! Thank you Beth, Travis, worship team and all the people behind the scenes who make these events possible. The Lord is doing a work in my heart and I feel as though I am coming out of a fog. The JAW was a great aid for me and I want to make sure that like Beth said, "This isn't a pep rally." Thank you Beth for being real and humble.

Beth,
I attended the SImulcast in Clarksville Tenn. I so enjoyed it. I really hope you get to see this because...We have a Girls MInistry named Delight here at our church. Our name and theme verse is Psalm37:4. I cannot tell you what a blessing it was to here you speak on this message. We start back in two weeks and I am praying through your message to share it with our girls. Thank you so much for encourageing me and helping me think through what Delighting in the Lord really is all about. I can't wait to share it. I'm sure everyone that attended the Simulcast received such a blessing but I am positive the Lord had this message with me in mind.:)Please pray for me as I search how to relate this to our young and older teen girls. thanks you...love, Rissa Larson

Thanks again for a wonderful message. God worked on me this weekend.

Anyway, this lady cut right in front of my mom and I very rudely when we were in line for snacks, I know that sounds so petty right. She knew exactly what she was doing though , because she apologized for it but then still didn't move behind the line of 40+ behind us. I was bothered by it but shook it off to hear the rest of the message. Fast forward to you talking about doing good vs being right. And God laid it in my lap by having that rude lady completely alone so when you asked for us to turn to our neighbor I took my mom over there and we held hands with the lady. Sometimes God sure reacts quick to make his point and make sure it isn't missed.
