I was not sure that I would be able to attend the Jacksonville conference when our Women's Ministry Committee scheduled it months ago; I was in the midst of my husband's diagnosis - brain tumor - what they call a glioblastoma grade 4 - prognosis - less than a year. From diagnosis to death was 4 months (Sept. 6 - Jan. 14). I had never been to any of Beth Moore's conferences nor have I had the opportunity to do any of the bible studies. From the time the praise and worship started on Friday until the end of the conference on Saturday, I was in tears. If salt is healing, my face should be in great shape!!! The conference, worship, women, were all in God's timing for my life. Not looking back and facing my future is a total dependance upon God at this point in my life. Thank you so much for your love of God, His Word, His Love and sharing that love with others. Apprehended I am and will always be! May God bless you abundantly as you continually serve HIM! This is beautiful and it doesn't even begin to capture the moving of the Holy Spirit that happened this weekend. Originally I was so excited to see Beth, but at the end I'm so glad that I didn't see her, but God through her. Thank you for your time and effort LPM team!

My goodness what an awesome song that was by Travis - I think I might just have to get that CD. It looks like it was a wonderful event - I can't wait until San Antonio! (and Beth, your new highlights looked wonderful - hee, hee) Are you going to share with us just a glimpse of what the message was?

And I believe many found faith in HIM in florida.
As I looked at the thousands,
I thought of the verse I just read
this morning
Joshua 23:10 One of you routs a thousand, because the LORD your God fights for you, just as he promised you.
God used you Beth to rout many!!!
Praise HIM!
Praying for Tuesday's taping at
Life Today. Hopefully, I'll be there in the audience praying for you. I've been real sick with kidney problems but am finally able to get up today.
This song and recap was simply so moving to me! Beautiful!
I love HIM so much and love the passionate cry of your heart that echoes to every ear you reach.

One of the things that I was thinking as I was watching is that each of those women, (and men) attending would go home and infect their precious families and friends with the Spirit of Joy they experienced this week-end.
There are going to be some shining earthen vessels walkin' around for sure!
(and I love the song!!!!...you do some stellar stuff Mr. Travis...)

Hey Beth...

Ran into my friend, Wes, fresh back from LPL (bass player in the video) and here's what he said when I asked him if he was in Jacksonville this weekend:

"Yeah, I'm back with my toes freshly stepped on, but loved every minute of it!"

Loved that!!!

Don't you just love LPL season??? I love these recaps. Love to hear my friends tell of their experience.

CAN'T WAIT until Louisville!!

We just finished up Stepping Up last night and I was so blessed. I facilitated the most precious group of 14 ladies. They have been radically changed through this study and Believing God!

Thank you for your faithfulness to make God famous through the study of His Word!!

Love you and I'm praying for you!

Thank you Beth, Travis and the entire LifeWay Team. I travelled from Savannah...but really from much further - from 45 years of walking, 5 of them in VICTORY with the Lord (about 20 in the darkest blackest pit.) Thank you Lord for Apprehending me, for giving me eyes to see, for finding me. Yes, my future lies ahead of me and I will press through to the finishline. This weekend was a glimpse of what heaven will be like - thousands upon thousands of us singing praise to His Mighty Kingship!! In the Holy of Holies. What a blessing. Just Friday morning I told my 18 year old son struggling with many serious issues - "honey, you just have to PRESS through." I was thinking of Philippians of course. When I got to the teaching and found Beth was teaching on Philippians 3 I knew it was another "God" moment in my life and that my message to my boy was what God had wanted me to tell him.

Praise you, Lord.

Beth: I was so glad to be there and even "gladder" :) that the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit was there in POWER! And the music was phenomenal as always.

I attended with my dearest best friend of 20 years - what an extra blessing. We had listened to Shackles all the way there!!!

At the very beginning on Friday night you took us to Matt 20:32 when Jesus asked the blind men "What do you want me to do for you?" You told us to WRITE DOWN that answer for our hearts and lives. GLORY - the message on Saturday morning "Obstacles to Pushing Through" will be life-changing to me. It was EXACTLY the answer to what I had written down at the very beginning of the conference when you made us get out our pens and literally write down what we wanted Jesus to do in/for us.

It was a personal rhema word to me from the WORD.

And a tender moment on Friday night was an extra special gift from the weekend to my heart. As you were leaving the arena and walking out, I just happened to look up as you were passing by. I was sitting on an end seat aisle on the floor of the Arena - and you gently reached out and just touched my arm as you passed by. So special and sweet.

I wanted to scream out "I'm a Blog Siesta, but it didn't matter. I know that you love us all. And I believe you would have loved to hug all 15,000 of our necks. Why else would you seek out a word from the Word for us - fly all over the country - leave your precious family and home?

Because you have APPREHENDED that for which Christ Jesus APPREHENDED you!!!

Glory - Hallelujah -

Thank You so much Beth, your whole team, praie team, and all the volunteers for a fabulous weekend in Jacksonville! JESUS WAS IN THE HOUSE, FOR SURE! I can not describe the multitude of feelings that I experienced. At the beginning of the conference I wrote down three things I wanted to get from the conference and all three were answered + many more. I did feel apprehended! Many times I look backwards but I will look forward from now on. I want so much to have a love for Christ like you Beth! I have felt that love more the last few days than ever before. I have done 5 of your bible studies and this is the second conference, and each draws me to a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, Praie His Holy Name! I have heard you many times express that you are only a humble servant and I respect that so much, but you are truly anointed to share his word, to be able to touch so many women thru his word like myself. I was so touched by your mention of your friend who had just passed away. Thank God for him, for leading you to us who need these bible studies, like I do! Blessings to You Beth and your ministry! I pray that God continues His good work in you and thru you!

Oh I'm bawling watching the video and re-living it all- it was a joy to be there!

Beth!! I am doing your Paul study now- "To Live is Christ" and just today I read where you say God uses repetition in our lives to hammer a point home (like a crow bar, you illustrated-)And that was what this weekend was for me.

The things He hammered home for me this weekend were that IT IS a chase and that's okay (which is hard to remember being raised in the Calvinist doctrine of the PCA- wink, wink)- not feeling warm and fuzzy all the time is no indication that we're lost from Him- we need the chase to rely on Him and stay humbled- the second thing reiterated were the words "Resurrection Power"- my pastor preached this Easter and I read it in a recent quote!

Speaking of being humbled in our chase- I can't BELIEVE you mentioned a rash when speaking on bodies of humiliation! GIRL, if you only KNEW the rash story I have lived for the past two months!

Love you and thank you- I praise God for you and pray for you almost daily!

Katie in Florida
www.mcdonnellplace.com

(PS- my last post on the above blog was before the conference and it is "and then this person died, and then this person died...") BOO HOO- too many photographs of what was behind! Amen?! Where there is death, there is RESURRECTION POWER! Woo hoo!

I just had to let you know, Beth. I had attended your conference here in Jacksonville on Fri & Sat. Although I need to admit, I went in with apprehension/suspicion. Not because of you……. but because of past Bible studies I had attended. After we would view the video, women would tend to say “What a wonderful woman she is”….”Imagine if we could all have that energy”….”She sure has a great relationship with the Lord, I wish I could have that”. It just seemed the discussions were all about Beth Moore, and how wonderful she is, and how we wish we could be like that. I’m not disagreeing with that……..but I was missing out on discussing the message you were trying to convey, how we can ALL have that passion, but it takes a personal relationship with the Living God, and “apprehending that which we were apprehended for”. Well, wanted to let you know that I was truly blessed, and when I do another study, and if the conversation starts pointing to the deliverer of the information, instead of The Deliverer, I will feel confident in saying “That is the LAST thing Beth Moore would want you to focus on, she would say IT’S NOT ABOUT ME!!” I clearly heard the Lord speaking thru you, purely and truly. Thank you for pouring yourself out to all of us so we could more clearly see Him.

I, too, am in tears after watching the video and reading all these comments, in gratitude at being able to be there! I brought a small group of ladies from our church--some of them older and partially disabled (THANK YOU to the marvelously kind helpers who showed them consideration!!)--and drove what should have been only 4 hours either way from Charleston, SC. (Can we say TRAFFIC???) But all the hassle was so worth it ... I am so blessed ...

Oh, and a note about our little group ... we're about 2/3 of the way through our 5th Beth Moore study. But, even though they're designed to do in 10-11 weeks, we've taken nearly a year to do each one, savoring every nugget she presents! And we've loved every moment.

Thank you ALL on the Lifeway team who helped make this happen! And thank You, Most Awesome and Holy Lord!!!!

Thank you Beth - you have no idea how much your studies and conferences have helped become closer to God!! Keep up the great work and get some rest - "in vain you get up early and stay up late, eating food earned by hard work; certainly HE gives sleep to the one HE loves." (Psalm 127:2) Can you tell I'm currently studing "Stepping Up"? Kerin

What an awesome weekend it was. The recap doesn't even do it justice. Travis' live version of this had to be the most powerful performance I have ever heard of any genre. And I have to say that I felt the Lord's hand on my shoulder - my first experience of that kind of feeling, so thank you Beth and all the LPM team. I'm a very musical person (albeit with no talent) and the praise team was so fantastic. Anyone who has the chance to attend one of these events, make any sacrifice you can - it will be that rewarding. I ended up attending by myself but was blessed to be welcomed into a group from Tampa on Friday (Thank you Cathy). On Saturday, I was welcomed to join a mother and daughter from outside of Jacksonville - I'm so bad with names, but I remember the daughter's name was Casey(?) and she reads the blogs, so if you see this, thank you again for sharing your Mom with me and it was such a rich experience to share the prayer with you both at the end of Saturday. What a awesome feeling to be in such a large group of women, all patient and good spirited. God Bless all of our fellow ladies in Christ!

I cannot explain how much the message in Jacksonville meant to me. Usually I will come away with one or two main points, but this message was a direct word for me in its totality. Please know, Beth, that this is something that God did for me that was so big it will be remembered and celebrated for years to come. I would have to write a separate letter to explain it all, but I wrote the following when you asked us what we wanted from this weekend: 1)What was the next step in my emotional healing? and 2)Find a unique purpose and vision for my life. Loved the video of Derek Redmond...it made me cry but offered encouragement to the heart when coupled with the spiritual insights you shared. Please pray for me as I begin to ask God to help me fully comprehend the revelation I feel He is beginning to give, and that the end result would be complete apprehension! Our group drove 8 hours and it was totally worth it. Thank you for letting God use you so!

Dear Beth - I just had to share this with you and with the other women who were at the J-ville conference and who battle the obstacle of dread like I do...I have really been thinking on & praying over what you said because I know the Lord was speaking directly to my heart with the words you spoke. (I think I have a tough battle ahead, is it possible to dread not dreading??...) Anyway, I was on another website today and the verse on the home page was as follows:

"We will have no fear of bad news; our hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD." Psalm 112:7

Needless to say, that is going on some 3 x 5's and being taped all over my house & office!

I attended JAX LPL with Gracegirl along with the other 40 something and I wish i could bottle what i've got right now and take a sip when i need it or share it with some of my friends. Every time i've shared about this weekend it seems i'm ending my conversation with how beautiful i realized all my sistas are on the inside. I knew they were, but God allowed me see first hand a snipit of their hearts and how Jesus is flowing inside of them. (we chartered a bus so we had about 8 hours of great together time too)
Words can never express how this has affected my life. This weekend I was ready for a revolution long before it was time and I got it. KNOWING God was gonna show up, seeing Him, experiencing Him through Beth, coming home and hearing His word yesterday at church which tied into fri/sat at LPL JAX was Him saying,"did you think i was kiddin? I mean it..."
Thanks Beth for listening to God and doing His work.

Amanda,
Thank you for the recap video and congratulations on Curtis' new position with LPM.

I attended the LPL in Jax and it was absolutely fabulous. I cannot even express the blessing I received from being there. The worship time with Travis was incredible. The Word brought by Beth was powerful. I am still chewing on the message! God's Word forever changes our lives. Praise Him.

Thank you to everyone involved for all the hard work it takes to pull off such a huge event.
Love to all the Siestas!

What a awesome weekend,Thanky you lifeway, Beth and the whole team for kicking off what is going to be an awesome year for the women of Jacksonville and the surrounding area. Not only did I attend but I was blessed to be a ministry partner from my Church and to serve as a greater. As I handed our material Friday night and Saturdady I met new sistas in Christ, reunited with some I had not seen in a while and realise there were more than I knew right in my work place. What a blessing this whole weekend was for me and I look forward to what God is doing with his daugthers as we prepare for the opportunities before us. When the conference starting on Friday I was dreading when the conference would be over because I had family coming in saturday that I don't always get along with and I asked for strength to get through this visit. Well this was one of the best visit we have and I even shared with them your definition of Dread. I look forward to the future and how God is going to use me.

I have two request.
1. Could you please print the commision from Saturday. It was so powerful and I would like to print it where I can read it when ever I feel satan trying to tackle my confidence.
2. Continue to pray for Jacksonville women as Women of Faith will be coming to our city in May and then Anne Graham Lotz is scheduled for next April and I have heard a rumor that you may be back again in the near future.

In closing thank you for allowing Jesus to use you in the way he does.

Someone in one of the post shared thay this weekend was about their life verse and I just feel lead to tell you that my life verse is Rom 8:28. I have been one who has chosen those bad relationships in the past and have lived through some of the consequences of my sins but in hindsight I can see how these thing have worked to the good and glorified GOd PTL.

Siestas,

I couldn't help but notice that Beth talked about pressing on and forward in our journeys (our faith walk on earth)in Jax.

I want you to know that I have prayed for you all to press on. I am in need of prayer too siestas. I am at a point in my faith walk where the "rubber is about to meet the road" in a very personal way. Please pray for me-I am somewhat "shameless" in this request-I need all the prayer I can get:) Thankyou:)

I don't normally post anonymously, but this post calls for it.

I was at LPL Jax, as well as a friend of mine that has been teetering on the edge of a total commitment to Christ for as long as I have known her.

She had an abortion while she was in college and it has haunted her life ever since.

She told me on Monday that this weekend she finally came to the place of not only leaving that tragic decision behind, but of moving forward to use it for the glory of God!!

I am crying in thankfulness as I type this. Thankful for a God who will move every obstacle we throw in His way to apprehend us!

Thank you so much, Beth and all of you who worked behind the scenes! I know there were many lives dramatically affected, but I think you must appreciate getting specific examples.

I was one of those 14500 women this weekend that expirenced a touch from God. I don't have the words to express what an experience this weekend was. I attented the one in Tallahasse Fl several years ago, it was good but something about this one was different. Could be the season of life I'm in right now. Thank you for following God and doing what he has called you to do. I'm looking forward............

Beth

I have done several of your studies and I loved every one of them! I got the opportunity to go to your conference with a friend and her church. (Man am I thankful for that friend!) To make a long story short I had an abortion at a young age and I ran from God, in the last three years I have come back to the relationship with him I so dearly loved in the past. The conference this last weekend was just what I needed. I have felt Gods pull on me, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that I am to use my past experiences for his glory! Thanks for helping me to let go of my shame, hurt, and fear! You are doing wonderful things for God! Your new found sister in Christ

I feel led to write this to show how God works…
I am somewhat new to bible study, I have completed 4 of Beth’s, but I still feel so new to the Word. A girls group for 20’s & 30’s was started at my church and I was asked to do the first devotional…. I was a bit overwhelmed, felt as if I wouldn’t be capable of say anything that was worthy.. I had never done anything like this… So I prayed and gave it some thought and remembered a scripture and a message that I had heard on lproof.org My Determined Purpose and the scripture was Philippians 3:10 (amplified). (This really gave me direction and broke through my thick head!!!!) I was at the Jacksonville Live event last weekend and Beth asked us to write down a prayer and raise it up and we prayed over it… My prayer… to know him and feel his love!!!! I was so taken and blessed…the message was on Philippians 3:10 and now I just read “Remembering the Dessert”, which Beth inscribed Philippians 3:10. I am feeling as if I really need to memorize this and share it more.
Thank you Lord for working through LPM and Beth!!

This amazing song on this wonderful video is helping me get through my studying tonight! Along with all of the other fabulous songs we sang this weekend. Especially, Travis's "In Christ Alone." I, and probably everyone else, love the part where he sings "On Christ the solid rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand." It makes it particularly special because my other versions of the song don't have that. I know it's good when it makes me cry and smile at the same time! Yay for good Christian songs!!!

Travis' song served beautifully as the backdrop to the display of God's glory in that place.

Awesome. Completely awesome.

Jaxville was amazing! I'm the much-blessed wife of a precious pastor whose aim in life is to please His Lord and share His Word. Interestingly, the messages the Lord has been giving him lately have been about Pursuing God! The ladies in our group sat there with jaws hanging open; the message from God thru Beth was that similar! Worship was awesome. I'm a native of Boone, NC and got to be there last May for LPL. I could just cry with gratitude to God everytime I think about being able to be there for that one! And now Jaxville - Praise His Holy Name! Thank you, Beth & team, for all the effort that goes into the conferences. May the Lord bless you as you bless your siestas!
