Home From Pittsburgh!
Hi, Girlfriends! I hope your weekend is full of joy and laughter and recreation and that God's shown up in the middle of it one way or another. I just got home a little while ago from Pittsburgh and I am overwhelmed with gratitude to God. Yet again, He granted us the most fabulous group. I've had the joy and challenge of 25 years of speaking and 11 years of Living Proof Live and I'm going to tell you that God has given us some of our neatest groups this very year. I have loved every single one of them, starting with El Paso in January.
These 6000+ Pittsburgh sisters were like bird dogs on point from the very beginning. Totally focused and into it. They came for Jesus and I pray with all my heart that they got Him. I loved them like nobody's business. A ton of really young women. And, of course, plenty of sisters in their 70's and up. They always bless me so much, especially as I see them worship. There is something so dear about it that it makes me want to bawl. We had women from - get this - 28 States (mostly PA, Ohio, NY) and representing something like 378 different churches. Amazing.
We had something happen this time that is a total first at Living Proof Live: A PUBLIC PROPOSAL! Our drummer, Kevin Jones, who we're totally nuts about, got down on his knee right on the stage this morning and asked his gorgeous girlfriend, Ashley, to marry him. Opened the ring box and everything. Travis had set them up so, needless to say, he's beside himself. Taking all the credit. I'm so ticked that it wasn't me. You've got to understand that we have all (including Keith) been wondering when the woman of Kevin's dreams was going to show up. He's like the catch of the century and it was amazing that he'd made it to 30 as an eligible single, handsome, GODLY guy. This was a really big deal to all of us because every wonderful young woman we'd meet would raise our eyebrows on Kevin's behalf. Nope. Not the one.
Then Travis invited Ashley to a worship event where he and Kevin were serving and that was it. Get the tux. So, Trav called me this week to let me in on the secret that drummer man had gotten a ring, and that's when the conspiracy took shape. Because Kevin has been such a big part of our team for so long, it was only fitting for him to have that platform for his proposal if he wanted it. There was a big catch though. It also had to work out for Ashley to come all the way from Tennessee to the event. (You wouldn't believe how many things had to go exactly right for this to pull off. God loves them. That's all I'm saying.)
Lo and behold, because it was Kevin's birthday, Ashley just happened to come to "surprise" him. To really get this scenario, you need to keep in mind that she thought she was the tricky one and that he'd never expect her to show up. Kevin took the chance that she might hop on the plane and had leaked the word to both their parents that, with their blessing, he'd pop the question this weekend at the event if she did. Right on cue, both sets of moms and dads snuck into Pittsburgh last night and to the front row of the arena this morning to watch the whole thing first hand.
Here's how Travis set it up: we'd sung two praise songs this morning in our first session when he called three of us having birthdays to the platform. One of them was Kevin himself. The others were Tammy Jenson (one of our terrific singers) and yours truly. He led the whole arena in a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday to us and then staged the brilliant part: Travis had asked Ashley to come up on the platform and present each of us birthday folks with bouquets of flowers. After she'd put them in our hands, Trav gave all of us that "clear the platform!" look and we scurried off. When Ashley naturally tried to follow us, Kevin grabbed her hand and told her to stay and the rest is history. I wish you could have seen her face. Honestly, Siestas, it was so romantic you wouldn't have believed it. It made me want to march straight home and marry Keith Moore again.
It was so much fun. One of my favorite LPL memories of all. God loved it. I could feel it in my spirit. He got as big a kick out of it as we did.

Would you believe that the big proposal coincided with another LPL "first"? We had a young bride (22 years old) named Emily Venesky in attendance from the Pittsburgh area with her entire bridal party and get this: her wedding was TONIGHT. She would have walked down the aisle just 6 hours after she left the conference. When was the last time you heard of a bridal party opting for a Christian women's event over getting their hair and nails done on the big day? I was floored. They were absolutely adorable. I pray that God blows their minds with favor over what they prioritized on this pivotal weekend.
Well, that's all my news for now except for the fact that I got a brand new I-phone. And I am completely obsessed with it. I was a total power-texter on my Verizon Voyager. I knew it so well I didn't even have to look at the darn thing when I jotted a text. My new I-phone has a totally different keypad, though, so I'm really having to adjust to texting on it but you just wait. I'll be the reigning queen in five days flat. I love it! I love it! I love it! I love it! There's still a lot I have to figure out like how to answer it and stuff, which, of course, Travis knew. That explains why he grabbed it and took a picture of himself that looks sorta like he's picking his nose with both index fingers and put it on my wallpaper. So, for now, that's what I see every time somebody calls me. I'm getting Michelle to deal with it first thing Monday morning. In the meantime, I'll just laugh my head off. I love my team. It's like trying to work with a group of Godly 8 year-olds.
And, to our Siesta that very sweetly asked me if I was using a hands-free device while driving and talking to Melissa on my cell, yes, as a matter of fact I am. Blue Tooth. I'm so cool that I'm going to have to sleep in my sweats tonight.
Obviously, my team is working with a veritable 8 year-old, too, that looks suspiciously like she's about to turn...

Happy Birthday sweet Beth! Love you so!
Watched the proposal video on Travis blog a couple hours ago and couldn't decide whether to clap my hands or cry...so I did both. What fun!
And the bridal party...that is soooo cool!
Prayed for y'all this weekend so I KNOW Jesus showed up! Yep, God is good.

Dearest Beth,
I don't know how old you're turning (and if I did I wouldn't DARE post it here:)) but I do want to wish you the happiest and most blessed of birthdays! God is great through you and through your ministry. May His precious name be praised!

ps. i'm trying my hardest to make it to your LPL conference in albuquerque!
Dear Beth,
Thank you so much for coming to Pittsburgh!!! My three daughters and myself were at the conference and we had the time of our lives! Much worship, much laughing, much tears, much hearing just what each one of us needed to hear, and MUCH sweet communion with our Lord. The music, fantastic -- the proposal, romantic -- the the teaching, delivered straight from God by His humble servant! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
At peace during the "perfect storm", Sandy
PS Happy Birthday! Mine's on the 25th of June.
Happy Birthday Sweet Beth! I love you and thank God for your example. Many times I think, "I can be a godly mother because if Beth did it, so can I." My baby is Eliana Lizbeth but I call her Elibeth and think of you. Looking forward to the Bible study!
Beth- I am a fellow Hustonian-ish (Clear Lake) and we have been waiting almost 6 months for China to let us pick up the daughter they matched us with in January.
The Lord very clearly led me to your book Believing God and it has been so good for me through this journey as we have faced delay after delay. I am blogging about our journey and at times what God is showing me through your writing. Our blog is www.4uruthie.blogspot.com if you want to see this fruit of your ministry. Thank you for your honesty and insight. It has helped me to continue walking toward my promised land.

Happy Birthday and thanks for the fabulous re-cap. I really needed sweet good news today!
Oh what a weekend you had!!
I am sure Pittsburgh was also in the most fabulous of moods since they won the Stanley Cup on Friday night...beating my beloved Detroit Red Wings. (I'm over it now!!!)
But I'm sure what happened at the LPM event was even more exciting than the Penguins lifting up the cup!!
How I just love hearing proposal stories!!! So precious and beautiful. And the bridal party coming before the wedding, also just so beautiful.
Thank you so much for sharing.
And Happy Birthday!!!
Love and Blessings,
Michelle in VT but a Detroit girl at heart :)
Beth this has to be one of my all time favorite blog posts. What a sweet story and sweet post. I just loved it!
Oh - I forgot to say Happy Birthday!!!
God is just so evident in your life (phil. 4:5)! Although I didn't have the pleasure to go see you in my hometown while I was literally sitting at home edging to go, I still would like to thank you for coming up here! My mother, along with many ladies from the Moon Township area in Pittsburgh, got to enjoy God's message through you.
A couple weeks ago, a few girls from my church just got done with your Esther study, and might I say, "Wow!" Being one who continually struggles being a teenage girl in this crazy world, that study has revived my well-being and my own spiritual walk! You were truly given the spiritual gift of leadership and love! For that, the thousands of Pittsburghers and all the others who get to be blessed by God's word through you are grateful!
[To God be the glory, great things he hath done. And loved He the world that he gave us His son!]
Sweet Beth!
I am just overly giddy right now! That video just about did me in today and gave me chills (because who wouldn't get chills listening to 6,000 ladies scream? It's what we do best during engagements!) and now hearing the whole story just warms my heart even more.
I am a hopeless romantic if you've ever seen one (Probably too much of one if I do say so myself!), so this was just the best.
It is just a reminder to this single girl that HE is FAITHFUL and in HIS perfect timing, He'll bring that Godly man into my life. Whether it's now at 24, or when I'm 30. Either way, HE has the perfect plan (and man!) for me. I will trust and believe HIM!
(Beth, just for the record, I give you permission to be my matchmaker. So, if you know of any single young, godly men in Houston, feel free to hook me up. I'll give you the credit. Ha!)
Needless to say, I loved this post and the video. Such a sweet day!
And, a wedding party and a bride at the conference??? How fun is that! Seriously, this was a fun day for y'all. And to quote you and Amanda, "all this and Jesus too?!!"
Glad you are back from a thrilling weekend. Love to you! Have a splendid Sunday!
Lindsee
P.S. Oh, and guess what I'm getting next weekend? An iphone! Woo Hoo! I'm just waiting till the new ones come out, but after that, we'll be phone twins! :)
Happy Birthday...and loved the recap.....
When you get the Iphone down would you post some tips....
I love mine, but after a month still struggle with the texting....my nails seem to get in the way of the letters....
Dear Beth,
I was blessed by the Pittsburgh weekend...thank you for being REAL.
I was beating myself up again for not having everything and everybody in my life in perfect order. Your message spoke right to me. Sometimes others seem like they have it all together the kids that do everything right...I am trying and my daughter was at a sports bar celebrating the penguins last night, and would not have considered attending the event with me...I am holding on to the scripture ...train up a child in the word and he will return to it. Thank you for your message.
God's word will not return void, I believe that, thank you for reminding me.

Oh well, in the joy of it I can overlook that. ;) How spectacular an event to participate in!

Beth...so blessed by this weekend...I got a word and it is not going to be wasted! Praise God for the team of people He put together there at Lifeway!
I LOVED THE PROPOSAL! And the glitter gal...I was sitting close to her, got a pic of the two of you and her friend's email so that I can send her the pic! She was tickled by that!
God bless you sister!
In Christ,

OHHH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I just happened to find Travis' blog by accident this afternoon, through another Siesta's blog. I watched the video and loved it, but it is so much better with YOU giving all the details! Thank you!
Happy, happy birthday to you, Beth!
You are so special!
I am one of the Pittsburgh Women and just want to thank you for an amazing weekend. I was able to attend with my mom and I feel like the bond between us is even stronger now. I left today feeling recharged and ready to take on the world! I hope you have a wonderful birthday this week!!
Bethany
What an amazing day! Congratulations to the happy couple and happy birthday to the most incredible Bible teacher I have ever studied under; and even though we really don't know each other, I hope it is o.k. to say, friend!
Thia is a very special day in my life as well. Twenty-two years ago today, on a Saturday, I married the love of my life! Who would have ever guessed back then that two Appalachian hillbillies would one day be serving the Lord in a wonderful missions ministry
in the inner city! God does have a sense of humor.
I wanted to let you know how instrumental you have been in the growth of this pastor's wives head and heart knowledge of the Scriptures! One day, maybe not in this life, I hope to share my testimony with you so you can hear all the ways you have influenced my walk!
Sending you a big birthday hug!
Much love!
I loved the part where you said you thought you were going to have to march right home and marry Keith Moore again :)
Happy Birthday!! I love all you Godly year olds! :)
What a great time! And who says Christians have to be dull! Happy Birthday and thanks so much for sharing you life with us!
Oh what a weekend with Beth and the Praise team. My 84 yr old mother said you put your heart and soul into this one. She couldn't talk enough on the way home about how "into it" you were. We have gone to at least 7 of the Living Proof Live all over the east coast and my mother accepted Christ at one of them. When we went to the Raleigh event a couple of years ago you could really feel the Spirit but it felt like he was there 10 fold.
I prayed all this past week to let your message from God speak to my heart this weekend. Well God knows the storm I've been in this last year and now I know why I have survived it, to praise HIM for protecting me from everything but HIS glory.
Thanks Beth for a wonderful renewing of my spirit.
Sounds like it was an incredible event. I followed along on twitter with Pam, Travis, and Sophie. LOVED the engagement video -- precious. And loved your iphone carry case ... snazzy.
Can't wait to see y'all in Memphis.
And 8 year olds are fun!
I want to thank Kimberly Meyers and your ministry so much for providing for me and my friend Shelly to be at the conference this weekend through scholarship tickets!! I have been unemployed for 13 months now and I couldn't have afforded this on my own!! God blessed our socks off!! 1st I got 2 free tickets to the conference from your blog which is linked to my blog!! 2nd My friend Shelly was able to go with me & her Mom lives in Bethel Park & let us stay over night, saved on gas & she watched Shelly's kids for her!! 3rd Shelly paid parking Friday night & today I was supposed to pay, but parking ended up being free!! 4th we had great seats, we sat 3rd row back from the stage both days!! 5th Beth, you spoke right to both our situations that we are both currently going thru!! Last, but certainly not least, gas to go to this conference was $20, someone ( I have no idea who ) put $20 in my purse when I wasn't looking!! I found it when I was looking for my keys!! We were so meant to be there, it was obvious!!! It didn't cost me anything except for the CD I bought!!!!!
Oh yeah By the way! Beth, Happy Birthday! Why don't you splurge on yourself this birthday and go buy a big box of ziplock baggies!! LOL!! Have a very happy birthday and I pray it is a completely God blessed day!
So glad to hear that you had a fabulous time in Pittsburg! Can't wait to see you in Stockton Ca. in 2 weeks!
Siestas: please pray for a young man that I met tonight at church. His name is Anthony and he is 24 years old. He has a little boy who is 2 or 3 years old and he shared with my friend Julie and I over dinner tonight that he is a recovering drug addict. He is seeking the Lord with such passion but is hurting over his past and his current loss of relationship with the little boys mom. Julie and I cannot be what he needs but we are trying to find a way to connect him with some of the men in our church....Just pray for him please...my heart breaks for him.
Thank you sisters!
Wow! Wish I could have been there- sounds awesome! Can you plan something fun like that for the simulcast???
Love, Rebekah
LOVE you, Beth. I caught a glimpse of the sweet tribute you gave to us Atlanta Deeper Still girls and it made me weep with joy. You ought to see Miller Grace's baby sister, Abigail Joy! She is living up to her name in every way. :)
Happy birthday from another June girl! (My Miller Grace was a June girl, too. It's a good month!)
What an awesome praise report from Pittsburgh, everything, from the proposal, to the bridal party showing up, everything...just AWESOME!!
Happy birthday!
and enjoy your new gadgets!
Try and get some rest from all the excitement over the weekend.
blessings.
Beth,
My 2 oldest daughters and I had the MOST wonderful time with you in Pittsburgh! What a joy to worship Jesus with you and to hear God speak to our hearts! I have experienced some intense storms that left alot of broken pieces followed by the bite of the serpent. But thank You Jesus - there was no venom and our God of peace crushed the enemy under my feet! The winds and the waves were overwhelming, but I still made it to Malta.
Thank you for teaching me how to love Jesus with all my heart - even in the storms.
Happy Birthday!!!!

What joy. Tears, thrills and chills and laughter all in the same blog.
Thanks for sharing the details and cool stuff with us. So wanted to be there - only 3 hours from home - but just couldn't do it this time.
Happy Birthday! Enjoy your day

Beth,
YOu and I share the same birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY three days early!!
Thanks for the Pittsburgh recap. Already saw the video on Travis' blog. How adorable!! My man is romantic like that and that is something that he might have done, had he had the opportunity.
God bless your Lord's Day!!
Leah
Just back from Pittsburgh myself. Six of us drove down from Canada and had a blast. Several of us feel we are in the midst of perfect storms and we bawled the entire weekend. I'm commenting in the hopes that you will post the benediction that we said over one another at the end of the conference - it was so powerful. God certainly was in the midst of us in Pittsburgh this weekend.
Oh Beth...
I saw that video and bawled. Sophie had it up on All Access and who doesn't love watching a sweet beautiful precious proposal???
What a weekend y'all had???!!! I had y'all in my prayers and on my heart as I celebrated some fun times at a little Keith Urban concert Friday night. :)
Glad you are home safe and sound. Get some rest.
Love the entire team so very much!
Hugs,
Fran
And of course a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all. Extra blessings over each of you.
Happy Birthday
You sweet thang you!!!
I love you Beth! What an encouragement you are to me! Especially the part about the young (30 yr. old) drummer waiting for just the right girl... I have 2 sons I'm fervently praying for God to do that for them and it's hard not to anxiously look at every girl wondering if she's the ONE... haha
I'm in week 6 of Believing God and have way too many index cards already! I'm going to need new notebooks! Happy Birthday siesta!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET SIESTA MAMA!!!!! WE LOVE YOU AND CALL YOU OUR BESTEST FRIEND!
GREAT POST - CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN MEMPHIS!

Dear Beth:
I was so truly blessed this weekend more than you know. God is so truly awesome. In the middle of your conference, you spoke to me and my new friend, Ginny (we both came there alone), (there is a whole other story going on with me). Our pictures were on the screen with you sitting on her lap--is there a way that will be on this blog or sent to me.
I am and still in awe over how God's way of showing up in my life is bigger and better than I would have imagined. And you say that all the time. Please try to do this for your sista. I bet that you are exhausted because I am and I didn't do hardly any talking.
I love you so much. I thank God for using you to keep me from jumping in that pit that I was so close to going in before this weekend. Be blessed and get rest.
Love Julie Belden
Beth!! I LOVED the conference this weekend! I am a young Pastors wife and mother and was so blessed! I was also thrilled to be only 3 rows behind you during worship:) I was the pregnant one!:)(I'm pretty sure you patted my back on your way to your seat Friday evening) :) Anyways, thank you for your word this weekend, you are awesome!
Happy Birthday Sweet Beth! I am sure you are turning a young twenty something! You sure look like it! :)
I have to say, you are the best story-teller ever! I felt like I was sitting right there in Pittsburg watching the whole engagement! Loved it!
Just wait.... You will fall more in love with your phone and will be able to text so fast. For example, I am checking my blog google reader, commenting on your blog and all from my glorious iphone! By the way, I am visiting my adorable grandparents in San Antonio and have such sweet memories of our Siesta Fiesta last year!!
Love you!
Happy Birthday, sweet Beth!! I know how young you are but wouldn't dare tell because I love secrets between friends!! I absolutely cried at this post because I am a hopeless romantic. Nothing is sweeter than young love. God does such marvelous things for those in love--look at my Godly son and daughter-in-love!! Seventeen years and satan tried to mess them up. God is awesome!!!
Beth...This past weekend in Pittsbugh was just amazing! Thank you so much for being so real, so God honoring and sensitive to the Holy Spirit and just so much fun! I loved your outfits and you just look adorable! Most of all I love your passion! I relate to you on many levels, I too am Sanguine, we are the same age(Happy Birthday btw) and we are both so full of passion. It can be a strength and a weakness...I know! :) But most importantly thanks for your love for the Word of God and for using the gift of teaching in such a relatable, practical way! You have touched my life in so many ways. I was at the conference this weekend with my 25 year old married daughter and my 28 year old daughter in law. Being there with them, watching them totally praising God and drinking in every word you said, was just the coolest! Thanks so much! Love & Blessings to you! Debbie

How neat. Makes me long even more for Deeper Still and even more for the January Celebration! God is so good! Thanks for sharing the recap with all of us that couldn't be there. You have changed and blessed sooooo many women's lives through your teaching as reported after each event. I know how blessed I have been just from doing 3 Bible studies you have written. Thanks so much for sharing God with us and making it so much fun. You are loved.
Jan
Beth, what a joy and priviledge it was to worship with you over the weekend. You hinted at this as well but I want to say that my FAVORITE part of the weekend was knowing that we were praising and worshiping Jesus together... at the same time.
Your word was EXACTLY what I needed to hear as well. I am 34 and had just told my husband the Friday prior that I wanted a divorce. With three amazing children and 11 years of marriage it was a hard decision to make... and after the conference I also realized IT WAS THE WRONG ONE TO MAKE!
It's as you said to the lady who said she is going back to school... Monday morning is the thing!!! So was Saturday afternoon for me. The test. The moment of truth!
I am accountable for the knowledge I gained this weekend. This I know... It may be hard... BUT I WILL MAKE IT TO MALTA!!!
I love you dear heart.
Happy Birthday, sweet Beth!! Birthdays should be "all about fun" and sounds like you had a ton...thanks for sharing your heart and head with us...love to hear about the ministry times you have at LP Live events. blessings to you this year as you continue to grow in grace, wisdom, and share it with us. love, Pam in San Diego
Beth,
My mom and I attended the conference this weekend and I cannot fully express what it meant to me. As a Pittsburgh native, I can say that we definitely do refer to ziplocs as baggies! My mom and I laughed so hard because I can relate. I have a three year old daughter and we always say "can't keep her in a bubble to protect her." I know God holds us in his hands and that is always my prayer...that we feel His arms around us.
Thank you for being such a willing servant in bringing the Word this weekend! We were truly blessed. Please come back to Pittsburgh so that we can bring more friends and family next time!
In Christ,
Beth Debiak

That's the coolest story!
Happy Birthday Beth!
Words cannot express what a blessing this weekend was. I clearly received a Word and am so thankful for it. My girlfriends and I came as a MOPS group. There were 10 of us. It was such a great time, a retreat for us in ways as we lead the MOPS group. We needed this message like nobody's business.
So many memories from this weekend that I will never forget. Thank you for coming here and sharing it with us. Your entire team is an amazing blessing and humbling gift from God.
P.S. - don't know if you realized it but you showed a great deal of respect by wearing black and gold on Saturday. Those are Penguin colors and it was so fitting since we won the Stanley Cup the night before. :)
On my way to Malta

Praying that God will protect you and yours from EVERYTHING BUT God's Glory.
Dear Beth:
This weekend was just a whole "God" thing.
I was truly blessed and got such renewed hope. I am in the middle a storm and I feel so alone. Only God knows my heart, and sees my inner tears. I was so ready to jump back into my pit of depression but God's word through you have given me a renewed hope.
Will there be a video of Pittsburgh on the blog. I hope that it is. You spoke to me and my "new" friend. We both came there alone and met each other and line. There is a story behind me being there alone and I will write you personally about it. What would be better is if I could get a picture of us together (you, Ginny and I). It would really mean the world to me. I am believing that God is able to do this for me.
It was also fun to be a part and celebrate the wedding proposal. Congratulations to the couple. You will have to keep us posted on the wedding plans.
I hope that you have a fantastic birthday week.

Oh, Happy Birthday on Tuesday my baggie addict sister.
I love you and adore you!
Happy Happy Birthday! You don't look a day over 29! :-)
Was praying so hard over all of you this weekend and following Sophie on the blog.
The girls and I sat down and watched the proposal video over and over again and just giggled like little girls!
Congrats to the newly engaged couple!
I'm sure His Word was powerfully packed for such special happenings going on in PA this weekend...
Isn't He just GRAND?
But then... your team is pretty stinkin' awesome!
Get some rest Siesta Mama, I do love you so.
Dedra
Beth, I had the privilege of being at your conference at Pittsburgh, with my best friend and our moms. This was the first time that I've attended one and I cannot begin to tell you how you spoke to my heart. I have been going through some really tough situations and I just really felt the Holy Spirit moving in that Events Center, I felt as if I was meant to be there and there was definitely no irony with your message!! Thank You so much for coming and I can tell you that I will be looking forward to the next time I can attend another conference of yours. You have an unbelieveable gift from God!!
Happy Birthday and God Bless You!!
Aimee
Hey Beth...I forgot to wish you a Happy Birthday last night when I was on here!
Can't let that one slide :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU SWEET MAMA SIESTA!!!!
You are loved!
Happy Birthday to all and congrats to the newly engaged couple. You truly lift my spirit in Christ. Love you Beth.
Hi Beth,
I was at the Pittsburgh event and just can't thank you enough for coming. It was truly God who had plucked me out of my gloomy mood and put me there this weekend. I had known you were coming since last fall and just didn't ever prioritize ordering myself a ticket. My husband and I have 5 children 8 and under and often our finances are strapped. Lately, I have been struggling with a great deal of depression (this is normal for me...the ebb and flow of my life). So when my husband came home early from work on Friday, I was all set to go straight to bed and stay there for the weekend. At the same precise moment he walked in the door, my dear friend texted me and told me she had two free tickets for me. I was able to pull myself together and get downtown and dragged my mom along.
My friend and I have known each other since 6th grade. We are 31 now and although we aren't connected at the hip and live fairly different lives (she's still single, oh Lord how I pray a man wouldn't miss out on this girl. She's beautiful inside and out), God always brings us together at various times in our lives. This weekend was one of them. I praise God for her. (And her Gran was the "Glitter Grandma" you just loved...lol.)
God used this event to really pull me out of a pit. He had been preparing my heart all week for precisely this. So THANK YOU!
And the proposal...OH MY GOODNESS!!! I think every woman there just melted like chocolate!!! Wishing Ashley and Kevin many happy years together.
Beth I was there. It was amazing. I always love it when visitors are surprised at how beautiful Pittsburgh is. People are in awe of our green and our hills. Of course you had the pleasure of being there when we won the Stanley Cup. Did you know that we won the Super Bowl in February? You spoke to me directly when you said "Do the body of Christ a favor, stick it out." Thank you for your amazing insights. We discussed how you came up with those seven points in scripture and yes I do that you have help. I am a speech therapist and I am amazed at your fluent speech. You have been truly gifted.
Happy Birthday Mama Beth I feel so blessed to have you in my life, even if it is through cyber space!:)
Much love,
Suzi
P.S.-What a romantic proposal!!!
Happy B'day, Beth!
And now for unsolicited advice. On Friday (or a few days after) you need to go exchange that iphone for the 3rd generation model that's being released June 19. It's an iphone 3GS. It has longer battery life. It has a better camera. It has a video camera. It accesses the internet 2 times faster than the 3G you just got. AND it has voice control so you can just say "Call Keith" or "dial 817-xxx-xxxx" and it will do it without you having to dial it. You only need to get the 16GB model since you can add and subtract data (pics, movies, songs, etc) back and forth from your computer. You don't need everything on your iphone at all times so 16GB is plenty big. One of my friends just bought the 3G last week after an ATT employee told him the 6/17 software download would make the 3G exactly the same as the 3GS which isn't true at all. Some things about the 3G will be updated by the software update, but not the things I just mentioned to you, and they're important improvements I think. Go exchange it!!! And buy an extended warranty! I have an original iphone I've had replaced 4 times because of overheating battery issues in the nearly 2 years I've owned it. But on Friday, I'll have the new 3GS. With another extended warranty. End of unsolicited advice!!!
very sweet, and glad that it went well..
SO i am thinking you are loving the East coast too!, we certainly love you here!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Dearest Siesta Mama!!!
So glad you share such wonderful moments with all of us.
I am so honored to study with you, be inspired by you, smile and cry with you, be encouraged by you, and challenged by you.
God has given me such a gift with this blog and the words and stories shared here by you and your girls. I pray God is richly blessing James and Betty of Life Today for sharing you with all of us on such a broad scale. How much I value my Wednesday afternoons and our time together.
You are such a gift from God, what a blessing! Someday I will make it to a LPL event, until then I will enjoy your first hand accounts of them-how special they are.
Katie
Happy Birthday!!! Appreciate you so much!! XXOO

I was there and I wanted to say thanks for coming to our neck of the woods. It was a blast, and we loved sharing in such a precious moment in the lives of Kevin and Ashley. May God bless them and keep them. May his face shine upon them and be gracious to them.
Happy Birthday Beth!
Oh man, I can't believe I missed all the fun! I was supposed to be there, had my ticket and everything, and I had been looking forward to it for months! Then my sister had a miscarriage and her D&C was Friday, and I needed to stay home. I prayed for everyone who did get to go that it would be a wonderful weekend, and it sounds like it was. :)
I had some good family time with my Mom and sister and we got her laughing again. I'll try and track you down in some other city! :)
love it all! laughed out loud about the 8 year old comment, but then again, we are supposed to be like little children! Happy Birthday!

Oh, let's not talk about age! I'm 40, and unfortunately, I'm seeing my first signs of brown spots, age spots, sun spots ... whatever anyone wants to call them ... not pretty spots. I'd love to hide these spots. Look out, Mom, here I come!
Happy Birthday, Beth! Surely you are spotless!!! =)
I'm so thankful Jesus exchanged his spotlessness for my spots!

The Happiest of Birthdays to you, Beth!
PS: BooMama had the proposal on her blog yesterday and it was precious.
Hi Beth!
Each time I read one of your LPL recaps or watch one of Rich's video clips I get even more excited about attending the Deeper Still event in Greensboro at the end of July. To sit under the teaching of three such gifted women as yourself, Kay, and Priscilla is a privilege and a blessing. I can't wait!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I LOVE YOU!!

Six ladies from our church attended this conference. It was such a blessing. Thank you for following the Lord and bringing us His Word. We left a T-Shirt for you ("I have issues"). Did you receive it?
Thanks so much -

THANK YOU..THANK YOU...THANK YOU
I was in Pittsburgh with a group of ladies from our church in Moon Twp. Beth, this is my fourth LPL + 1 simulcast, and by far, this was the BEST (can God outdo Himself?). We had 1 young mother in our group who had tickets to go with her own Mom who passed away to cancer last fall. Her daughter still came. And another who was to be a greeter, but just lost her 24 yr old daughter to cancer last Friday, & she still came. Oh, how timely was your Perfect Storm message! I can tell you they were both inspired & comforted. But, Beth, how did I know it would be so timely for me, too? I never realized I was going through the Perfect Storm, because it has been way too long, until I learned they are loooong storms.
A few points struck home, point 2, the question of fault in a storm. Oh, how I was trying to blame someone, & Beth, mostly myself. And that ties into the unforgiveness part, towards me. Thinking I was Ok to forgive everyone else, but not myself. How wrong is that?
Also, part 3 was definitely me, letting the storm open up all those old habits (addictions) as a good excuse. They are so draining & smothering me. After this weekend, I am cutting the ropes, holding onto to God & His mighty Word, & being confident that He brought me through this storm with His Purpose in mind rather than wasting endless nights & tears on WHY..I want to use it for HIM!!!
Beth, I was honored & oh, so humbled to be an encourager. When I had the privelege to pray for sister after sister, young & old, all with so many raging storms in their lives, I knew the Holy Spirit was at work & had us all there for such a time as this.
Beth, THANK YOU for being HIS SERVANT, your Bible Studies are so encouraging, but thank you so much for coming to Pittsburgh (recently voted best city to live, will send it to Amy). We are touched & forever grateful to you and your praise team & wonderful staff. God's love flows!!!!
The proposal was the icing on the cake. I have a single daughter, oh how I'd love a kevin in her life.
Happy Birthday to you, sweet sister!!!
Lots of love & Blessings,
Elaine Poliziani
PS I was the lady who said I love you when you passed me going on the stage for the last session.
Happy Birthday dear Beth! I love you so! And I am believing God to bless your socks off this year!
Thanks for sharing your life with us. What fun in Pittsburg! He is worth it - isn't He?
What a delightful post! Congrats to Kevin, the drummer and Ashley, his intended!
And Happy HAPPY Birthday Beth! I will see you in Albuquerque!!
Jan
p.s. I KNOW how old you are cause I'm the very same age!!!
A SWEET HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU BETH! You deserve it. Oh how I wish I could have been there this weekend- I'm from Tenneesee also. You do sound too cool, getting a new Iphone and witnessing that sweet proposal. Only God could have allowed all this to happen on cue. Glad to serve Him along side you, Carla Knoxville, Tenn.
Hi Beth! Happy Birthday! I am writing to thank you for mentioning your experience in Atlanta in Pittsburgh this past weekend. I am one of those 8 women who was able to meet and pray with you and I was so blessed by that experience. I have lost two children now, and just gave birth to a little girl on June 1. She is now being tested for a serious and debilitating skin disorder and my heart is so broken and weary. I could really use some extra prayers. I just don't know how much more I can take. I need my baby girl to be ok.
"I'm so cool that I'm gonna have to sleep in my sweats tonight." Bahahahahaha!!!! You are too funny, woman!
Love all the romantic stuff that happened at the LPL event...very awesome. :) AND...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lova ya Bibby! ;)

Beth:
Words seem so inadequate...thank you for blessing my life in Pittsburgh. I have looked forward to attending with my mom for the past 6 months and we both are changed. By the way, I will send a special prayer up for you each June 16 when I, too, will be eating birthday cake!!! How cool!!
Thanks for being so humble and real and leading us to understand Paul better.

Oh, thank you for that, Beth. I just love a good proposal story! My son proposed to his lovely bride when we were all on vacation together. He took her for a walk on the beach and proposed. He had the ring all ready and everything. AND, he had not told us about it so they came back to the condo and just completely blew us away. We took tons of pictures and laughed and cried and it was wonderful.
Happy Birthday, Beth!!
Thanks again for both the stories.
Esabelle
I was there in Pittsburgh too. I've been to several of your events and God used you to speak to me more clearly this weekend than He ever has before. He always uses you to speak to me, but this time was REALLY clear. Thank you so much for being real. You can not imagine how much you were speaking straight to me. You and I are married to men who must be CLOSELY related and somehow got separated because I totally relate. I am also married to a deer hunting man. I love him like mad, but he drives me crazy! I thought Kevin's proposal was so romantic, but I thought "I wonder what that guy's annoying hobby is, and is she going to be able to put up with it?"
On Friday night, after we got back to our hotel, I found myself standing in the lobby asking all the ladies with yellow wrist bands on how they liked the conference so far. I do the same thing in the narthex at church when we do one of your Bible studies. ( Am I obnoxious or what?) You'll be happy to know that everybody agreed that it was great.
Happy Birthday, Beth! :) All God's best to you in the coming year!
Glad Pittsburg was a great weekend! That proposal was really cool! Saw the video of it on TC's site... Very sweet! Thought the bridal party story was neat, too.
Isn't it just like our Heavenly Daddy to give such cool surprises??? :)
How much coffee you had, Bethie?

Speechless!! Speechless!!! Speechless!!!!
... congratulations, Kevin and Ashley!!!!!
Beth,
You thrill us all!! Loved your recap of your weekend, how God showed up, the romantic proposal and all the details!! I so love being a girl! Boy, it's tough being a girl (a woman) sometimes ..as the saying goes). :) :) but love it!! As for the I-phone, you will love it. I got mine last year the day they came out with the 3G. At first it was very tough to text but now I can practically do it without looking. And I'm still learning things it does a year later! I went from the lowest of low tech phones to the highest of high tech. It's kind of scary!! But wow I love it. I'm on the blog everyday with this silly thing!:) I'm posting from my phone right now. I'm sure you've got a bunch of Siesta's here you can call on if you need tech assistance!:) The GPS system AMAZING!!!!!
Love,
Susan in OKC
So good to hear about the LPM event. What a lovely proposal!!
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH!!! You are forever young!!!
Thank you for your wonderful description of your weekend and all the fun and exciting things that took place. Sounds like God had a most wonderful time doing great and exciting things for those in attendance!
Many comments from siestas who were there really show how God delights in doing wonders and miracles for people. Especially loved Jacque's (June 14 @12:13am)story of how the Lord was in ALL the details for her attending.
Thank you to you and your amazing crew (of eight year olds!)for sharing the JOY of the Lord with those blessed to attend and for those of us unable to.
Off to watch the proposal video! Congrats to the new couple!!!
Going to one of your conferences on my wedding day sounds like something I would do too. That's how much I love to go! Come to Charleston, SC! Emily Levensky's got the right idea. :)
Beth,
Thank you for coming to Pittsburgh! My friends and I waited in anticipation to hear from Jesus and we did! I can't tell you how thankful I am that the Lord has blessed us with your teaching. I get you so much!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for being so faithful to His voice.

I LOVE IT!!! Made me smile and then I wanted to jump up and go kiss on that sweet man of mine!
Happy Birthday, Beth!! I am one girl that is thankful for your birthday........for God placing you on this earth with a purpose to help us grow-up hungry for God's word!
The conference was a wonderful blessing to me and those with me! Thank you for always being so real! Hope you liked your "I have Issues" t-shirt!

Happy Happy Birthday Miss Beth! Oh how I am so thankful for you! I wish more than anything that we could sit down over a cup of coffee, chat and laugh our heads off. You are my kind of person!! Won't heaven just be a ball??? Thank you also for including all of us that follow your blog in your life. That proposal was beautiful. Don't you just love a proposal? I love seeing two people commit themselves together before God-what a beautiful thing. I could never get enough! Have a wonderful week with Jesus! He is it! :)

Beth, I love reading your blog. It is a highlight for my day. Sometimes I cry and sometimes I laugh. I always walk away though pondering what I have read here. I want to wish you a belated Happy Birthday. I can tell that it was a good and special day. You are an amazing, amazing lady and my hopes for you are not just on your birthday but for everyday. You are a blessing to so many women around the world and not many can say that. I also congratulate Kevin and his wife to be. It was fun to watch on video. Wish I could have witnessed it all though. To the lady who was there with her bridal party...well what a way to start of her new life. She and her husband will both be blessed for it.
On another note. I have been invited to post this address to your blog readers. Well sort of. Not by you but by the author of the other blog. IF it is not good that this be here then I apologize in advance but we need some prayer. There is a doctor from the inner city of Fort Worth Texas who has been mentoring a group of boys for several years now. In his heart he loves them as his own kids. He moved his family of 6 children soon to be seven to Como so that they could minister to the community there and help to bring revival. Well, the boys were promised over a year ago that if worked hard that he would take them to Africa. On Monday afternoon he and a group of individuals depart on the journey that we pray will be life changing. God has pulled this together to make it happen for these boys. IF any of the seistas are interested they can follow the journey at this address http://thecomobrowns.blogspot.com/
Prayers will be greatly appreciated and the author said you could post prayers if so inclined. We want these boys to see that they are cared for and that there life can make a difference. They are going to be working on an orphanage.
Really enjoyed the conference in LLWL in Pittsburgh...fully equipped with a good 'ole fashioned college celebration of winning the Stanley Cup for U of Pittsburgh! Beth did her homework to appropriate the correct lauds and honors to the correct people-the Home team! Enjoyed the conference focus...excellent insight and Mr Travis is OUTSTANDING!!!Hope to catch you all again somewhere else.
Hilarious! Congratulations to the happy couple and Happy Birthday to YOU!
love you
I want to be a siesta!
Ok-my kids are looking at me funny because I'm crying watching the engagement video. So sweet! I'm looking forward to seeing you in August at a simlucast-I think you will be live in North Carolina. My study group is in week 3 of your Daniel study. We are learning sooo much! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,Beth.I love you & appreciate your ministry so much. My husband & I had a big surprise this weekend, also. My family surprised us with a 40th wedding anniversary party yesterday, a month late. The real surprise was my son & his family, including his mother-in-law, came from South australia. We haven't seen them for seven years, & two cchildren have been born since then. We are still in shock.

Happy Birthday Beth!!! I wish I could sing over you in person, but I know that our God is singing over you! Isn't that an amazing thought? I "love you like crazy"! Have fun with that I phone. You should put the picture of the Booger picker on the blog! That would be funny!
love love love you!

Hi Beth! I attended your Pittsburgh Conference this weekend with my sisters and my mom. Thank you so much for coming here. My socks were completely blessed off by this conference. It was amazing how timely your teaching was for me. I was amazed at how God works; it was evident that He had ordained for me to be there to hear what He spoke through you. God has ordained this storm for me.
I was so blessed by what God revealed to me that I sat down with my husband at 10pm last night and went over my notes with him.
Oh, and the praise and worship was spectacular. I could really feel the presence of God upon us.
Please, oh please, consider coming back to Pittsburgh soon! It was such a blessing, and I eagerly await another opportunity to attend a LPM conference!
Hi Beth,
Thank you for your exuberance and Heart for God. Yes, it is like being a child and I have that passion too! I jump up and down in worship because I can't help myself. Today I said, "God, is there anyone else out there? Does anyone else have that little kid passion?" Thank you for this post. It was confirmation that there are more out there passionate for Christ. He's my life! I get it!
Love,
Michele
Well what woman couldn't smile at that proposal video? So cool.
I'm just getting into texting. Finally talked my hubby into getting me a small texting plan. I have to type with my index fingers thought, my nails seem to get in the way on my thumbs and they aren't that long? Do you find that issue too?
You need to get on twitter now - Mrs. Moore. :)
Love the story. Congrats to the newly engaged!!! Happy texting!
Happy Birthday siesta mama I hope you live to be 100! :) By the way that post was the sweetest thing it made me cry. I can not wait to see you in October I'm trying to get my college girls to come that it going to be doing the summer bible study with us who by the way are just crazy about you! Love you lots beth moore!

Thank you for your commitment to God's work. I am so blessed by you and feel so fortunate to connect with God and the Body through your studies. I love being able to get a fresh word from you every week on Life Today, too. My three sons know every Wednesday I am going take a half hour on the couch with a fresh cup of coffee and receive a word, and they have taken to watching you with me. We are ALL so fortunate to have you in our lives!
And can I just say, I hope I look as darling as you do when I reach . . .

THANK YOU for sharing every detail of how beautiful and inspirational this weekend was for the PA girls!! What an incredible weekend of firsts that God knew even before time began! I hope you enjoyed your birthday and that Keith had a surprise or two up his sleeve when you returned home! Much love, Amy
It was such a treat to be at the conference and witness a "live" proposal! It's amazing how I can be so excited for two people I have never met before.
Thank you for sharing about The Perfect Storm. I especially felt the Lord speak to me when you shared the verse from Luke 1:45 on Friday evening-"Blessed is she who has believed..." because that is my memory verse for these two weeks!! Total confirmation for me:) I have to admit that I was coveting your shoes on Saturday-too cute! Happy Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, you sweet thang! I just watched the video proposal...will that be something to tell the grandkids, or what? Two beautiful people embarking on a new life...so special...of course I just bawled all the way through it, knowing what was going to take place from your post. Thank you so much for sharing such special moments with your online siestas...love you
Wow! this was so much fun! A bride on her day at a Christian Woman's Event.....and I thought I was addicted to Beth Moore :)
O.k. Beth, I need your help!!! I have a new car and I have yet to program the radio, AM, FM and XM....apparently I can program at least six on each band...
I need your help with Blue Tooth, I have yet to program it and how do you text with Blue Tooth? Or can you?
And I need your help to program the "warning" messages.... oil change time and several others that I just don't understand....
Please make a trip to Arkansas and help me! Or if you are as brilliant as I think you may be you can just call me and talk me through it.........
Happy Birthday!
God had His hands all over your ministry in Pittsburgh this weekend! Going through a perfect storm myself, it was all I could do to get to the conference..I was in the "oh well let it take me stage"..I just give up. But my dear friend, who had just buried her precious 23 yr old daughter,on Tuesday, was willing to come and see what Jesus had in store for her. What courage she had and what a time of renewal and joy was gifted to so many. Thanks for inspiring us all to stay close to our Jesus and to keep the switch turned on! for goodness sake!Thanking God for you and your willingness to serve HIM. Patty
You are the cutest darn thing!!
Ms Beth, it's so fun reading your posts. You keep me laughing.
Happy Birthday to a dear Sister in Christ. I love you!
Hi Beth-
What wonderful stories you had to tell us! I think the proposal was so sweet and so romantic! And the bride and her bridesmaids- how perfect for them to be at LPL instead of a luncheon or bachelorette fest! I was glad to hear about your i-phone; I have been debating about getting one myself- have even watched youtube demonstrations! So if you get stuck and Amanda or Melissa aren't around, go to youtube for a quick demo!
Happy Birthday! Here is a little poem for you that my dear late Mama loved:
"Many happy returns of the day of thy birth.
May JOY and GLADNESS
be given and God in His Mercy
prepare thee on earth
for that beautiful
Birthday in Heaven."
Love,
Fran
Happy Happy Birthday Beth! We're so glad that you're following God with your life and blessing the rest of us in the process!
I saw the video through BooMama's writing over at AllAccess and I totally knew what was going to happen as soon as he said "she's always asking me if I have any questions". My husband wanted to know how I knew... guys! ;)
SO FUN!!!
Love big surprises like that!
So glad that the weekend went well
That is so cool and every girls dream come true hello. that is awesome!!!! Hope you had a great day of worship I know we did!!

Hi Beth!!
It's Emily! (Emily Venesky...the one at your conference in Pittsburgh who got married on Saturday!) I just wanted to say how much we all appreciated the prayer for our wedding and marriage and the advice that you gave. I have pictures of me and the bridesmaids at the conference that I'd love to share, I will send them into you asap! The wedding was amazing and we felt blessed to spend the morning of it with the women at the conference hearing God's word!!!!!!
Love always,
Emily
Beth:
There were 16 of us from Lancaster County that came to Pittsburgh. Each of us in our own different journey. Some of us saved and others just not sure.
I am in the storm right now and have not made it to Malta yet. After this weekend I was reminded that I need to focus on what God is who he says he is.
I also want to thank you for sharing about your family and for being so REAL!!
May you have the best birthday ever, and may you get a lot of what we like to call them "baggies" LOL!!
I was at the Pittsburgh Conference what a blessing! My two daughters went with me it was one of their Christmas gifts we loved every thing from you speaking to the praise and worship. We came home ready to recommit to the Word and totally commited to the Lord,Thank you for sharing your time and love for the Lord you are a true blessing to us.
I was in the Pittsburgh crowd and loved every minute of it!! It's so fun to read the "background" info behind the sweet proposal. Thanks for a great weekend!!
I can't thank you enough for the idea of the Siesta Scholarship Fund that allowed me to attend this weekend. At first I thought I was honestly going to burst into tears because it was as if God was saying, "You've been working so hard to do the right thing and I just want to do this for you." And then I was so bold to even think that maybe He wanted me there to give me a special message. And He did through you. What you taught this weekend was so what I needed to hear. I made a comment when you posted Luke 1:45 at just the right time at the end of last year and when you spoke it this weekend, it was just the reminder I needed. It was actually my first memory verse for this year. You are such an amazing blessing that He brought into my life 3 and a half years ago. I do thank God with my every remembrance of you. And if you want to wear glitter, you go for it. But honestly you radiate the love of Christ so beautifully, I just don't think you need it.
OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! That proposal just completely warmed my heart and got me teary-eyed. THAT WAS AWESOME! Thanks for sharing. Whoever thought of playing Journey music in the background, great idea!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Beth!!! Thank you so much for your obedience to Christ. You have been a huge mentor to me and I can't wait to meet you someday in eternity.
Such a great post. Your enthusiam is so contagious!
I think this is probably one LPL event that none of us will ever forget! SO special. And you know what? I love that through FaceBook and the All Access Blog we got to share the excitement almost as fast as it happened! SO cool. :)
Happy B'day and get some rest!!
Love and Hugs
steph.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH
I hope you had or have a fun one, filled with family, friends and laughter.
Oh, by the by, did you know, that on your birthday you can eat whatever you want...even at night before going to bed?.....you can,....it's the rule. :0)
Happy b'day to ya.
Becky/Brentwood
Happy Birthday! We are all SO THANKFUL you were born! Oh SO Thankful! : )
OK I have chills and tears so romantic... LOVED the proposal! Precious you all will have to let us know about the plans!
I love how the room full of women clicked IMMEDIATELY. I cried! And I'm watching from AUSTRALIA! That was the sweetest thing ever. God bless them and keep them and expand their territory.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH! Thanks for the fun post!
Beth,
I have to say, you ROCK! I was in Pittsburgh with 3 amazing friends and my Mom. It is overwhelming how your words touched each of us individually. My dear friend is going through one of the worst "perfect storms" of her sweet life. God used you to touch her broken and wounded heart...GOD BLESS you! My mom was one of the women who has never been to an event like this weekend and you knocked her socks off! Beth, I just want you to know I am so grateful for your ministry. My friends and I have done over half of your studies and we just started Jesus the One and Only. Would you believe my friends did their homework when I was driving..NOT FAIR! I just wanted to say thank you for refreshing my soul. Tell Travis that was the best worship experience of my life! I am not kidding! Side note, did you wear Black and Gold on purpose Saturday? Just thought it was perfect! Happy Birthday Beth and my God continue to bless your life and ministry with his goodness.
love you! Sherry...I am looking for some body glitter to send your way!
Hi Beth,
Great time in Pittsburgh.
I had the pleasure of going with my 2 friends from church. It is the first time I ever went anywhere by myself in 26 years of marriage. And my sweet husband payed the bill for the whole weekend. God bless him. We enjoyed hearing Gods word from you. You are sooooooo real. I thank God for you!
I was wondering if you could put me in touch with the women you mentioned at the conference, that had lost children. You said they had a support group.
Also do you sell the cd's of dvd's of the conference. I would love to hear it again, as God had so many things to tell me through you, Friday and Saturday.
Had a great time, in Jesus Name.
Thanks,
Sherry
What a fun weekend! Loved the story from start to finish, loved that you got an iPhone (oh, iPhone...how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...), love that you are turning..., and still know how to have some Godly fun like nobody else I know.
Or sort of know. You know what I mean. :o)
Happy Birthday Beth - truly, the birthday blessings are all ours!

You brought tears to my eyes with that proposal video. Awhhhhh....when a man had the courage to propose in front of 6,000 women...that's a Godly man! Praying for happiness and joy in their marriage togehter. My grandpa proposed at 14 years old and my grandparents stayed together until he died this year at 84 years old. That's the power of God!
Oh Jesus, I just want to thank you for Beth.
Thank you for giving us her so we can understand more fully your love and your heart. Thank you for all that she has been through so that she can understand the needy, she can understand the lost, she can sympathize with those who don't know you. Thank you for her heart Jesus, that it is filled with you.
Adonai, great mercy Father. We love you.
Amen.
Love in Christ,
Michele
Dear Beth,
Thank you thank you thank you... the words God gave you to share that were so specific to me I am so thankful :)
such a great weekend...so glad to be there and hoping you will break free of your baggie/iphone :) you can do it!
love and happy birthday to you!

Happy Birthday my dear friend! How great it is that we've never met and yet I cherish you like I've known you forever! Hope you had a great day!

How incredibly fun! Thank you for sharing that with us!! I just LOVED IT!
BTW, I agree... the iPhone ROCKS! I'm looking forward to upgrading to the new one in oh, about a year and a half. LOL
I want to add a nod in agreement to what Jennifer from Tullahoma, TN said in the first post.
Blessings!

Oh Beth - I love these posts of yours just full of fun and exclamation points!!!
It was a great weekend, and I prayed for YOU and the team and all the the women who would be blessed to attend the LPL in Pittsburgh. It appears that no one was disappointed!
We celebrated my precious mother-in-law's 87th birthday yesterday! She has been a godly mother-in-law to me, and I am so thankful for her. My husband is her "baby" and "late in life" blessing :)
Loved the proposal - what a precious couple and how awesome. I imagine Travis is beside himself.
My oldest son is a Pastor and he proposed to his wife at the end of a Sunday morning service and the newspaper did a feature on it entitled "Called to the Altar!" It was so sweet and I loved it.
Oh, I wanted an iPhone too - but my cell service doesn't offer that choice. I got a Blackberry Storm 2 months ago and I love it love it love it too! It is different to use the "touch screen," but you'll be fine in no time!
Hope your birthday is great this week. (Your "prize" should have arrived by now!)
So cool you'll have to sleep in sweats - now that is funny. You ARE cool and you don't look a day over...:) 22!
Much love,
GJ
Welcome home! What a blessed weekend you had! I was teary watching the proposal. Y'all are so sweet to share your lives with us.
You're going to love, love, love your IPhone! I installed a flash card app at the begining of Siesta Scripture Memory verse challenge & it's been so great because I can "flip" through my flash cards on my phone just about anywhere.
Have a wonderful night!
Happy birthday, Beth! I know that our Father in heaven made sure you felt so loved and special on your birthday. And I'm glad He is using my small voice to add to that blessing in your life. Thank you for using up your life for His glory. I'm supposing that in heaven, we get to still celebrate our birthdays and it will be extra sweet because no matter what the number...there will be no indication that we are "aging." No wrinkles, no blemishes, no aches and pains, and no grays....Oh how I look forward to that day. Can I just add that you look fab-u-lous?!?! I've put your legs on order for my new heavenly body. I hope you find that to be complimentary...lol...
This was my first Beth Moore Live event. I was thoroughly overwhelmed to be in a place where 6,000+ Christians were in one place all praising the Lord. I feel blessed to have been able to attend and more blessed for the experience. I am currently in my second Beth Moore Bible Study at my church. I have enjoyed each minute and have never learned so much with the unique perspective that is given to each study. Thank you so much for your calling.
i just arrived back to my home a little while ago from your conference at the Peterson Center in Pittsburgh. All i can say is wow…..
Your ability to bring the Gospel alive for all of us is truly a gift from God, and we were blessed to have taken part of such a wonderful event.
….you talked about storms, but it became personal when…you brought up the movie The Perfect Storm you said…..”maybe you were born in 1991 and don’t remember that storm”…. My daughter was born in 1991 ………you got me thinking about my daughter Stephanie …….my mom, sisters, and some of my dearest friends were there today…..but Stephanie wasn’t there……then you talked about the 8 moms who stood by a tiny casket, that was me too…standing beside Stephanie’s casket. I am a mom who lost a little one, and you so do allow the Holy Spirit to just speak through you, Thank you for bringing such a personal message, with a word from God to remind me of that time in my life, such precious and tender memories.
May God be glorified, May He protect us from everything but His glory….God Bless you Beth Moore, Thank you!
Bless you Beth and happy belated birthday wishes from this gal in Alabama.
I have tears in my eyes from watching that clip of the proposal....ADORABLE and they are both cuties! May God richly bless their marriage. My husband is a collegiate baseball coach and he proposed to me while in his uniform just prior to a game.....I was NOT expecting that and it may be one of the few times I was absolutely speechless. :)
Still working hard on memorizing those verses....am praying God will work out the details for me to join all the other siestas in Houston in late January. Woooohooooo. May I join you in worship in that special section at your church....the place where we can raise our hands in total praise???!!!!
Love and Blessings,

Happy birthday, Beth! I'm a June 'baby', too!! Have fun with your I-phone...I have had mine since January and still can't text fast and be accurate...sometimes I have to type a word three or four times to get it right!!!! I just LOVE it though. I have the most awesome Bible app.....12 or so translations and that's just the English ones. Comes in so handy for Bible study...if it's not clear in one translation, I just switch to another (and sometimes another!) one!! I also use my phone to share pictures of your grandbabies with my Bible study friends!!

You have inspired me to invite God into my heart. I have learned so much through your Bible Studies and thank one of God's messengers and my best friend, Paige, for introducing me to you. God Bless You! And may He keep you safe in your travels as you spread the word of God. You are a total riot - you fit right in with our bible study group. I hope to get down to Springfield, Il in November and be part of your LPL. Thank you and God Bless.

PS-Happy Birthday.
Oh Beth how romantic!! What a weekend!!
Iphone, oh I love mine too!!! There are so many cool apps. Bibles, wiki free, etc....You will love it. Yes, the texting does have its issues, but you will get used to it. Now you just need to create a Beth Moore app and we will all be in Heaven!!
Love ya!

Mz. Beth,
I hope you have a fantastic birthday! Congratulations and best wishes to Kevin, Ashley, and Emily. I always think the men who propose very publicly have great courage - gotta trust that she will say yes.
I hope you got the new iPhone 3GS that was just introduced this week. Has new features that make it worth the upgraded phone. Last year, I also moved from the same LG phone to iPhone. Tapping to type took a little getting used to - but happened fast, like you predicted. I really tested the auto spelling corrector. The phone is so intuitive! So now it's like a fun game to me to see how it corrects my bad "finger aim" on the keyboard. Just type as fast as possible and don't go back to fix any word until after you've hit the space bar. It's amazing how much it auto-corrects.
One of the absolute top reasons I enjoy my iPhone is because that is how I'm often able to check this blog, write comments, and keep my memory scriptures with me even when my index card binder is in the car. Just used the GPS function to find an unfamiliar Lifeway store when far from home to get Mz. Rothschild's book. Even going so far as to be typing on the iPhone while watching Part 1 of your interview for "A Beautiful Mind" on Life Today. You will think of all new ways of utilizing the Internet in your hands...like price comparisons of items in one store while you are standing in another. Enough iPhone raving. Have fun with it.
Happy Birthday!

Beth,
THANK YOU FOR COMING TO PITTSBURGH! We enjoyed having you so much and praise God for the blessed event. I have been singing the worship songs all weekend long. I enjoy every bit of insight into your family and marriage. It inspires a young mother and wife. Maybe in the future a study might blossom from your wonderful “hard loved” marriage? My mother-in-law and I especially liked seeing pictures of your granddaughter in her pink tutu. My daughter is 7 months old and now Grandma has some new ideas as to what she can give her granddaughter next! This was my mother-in-law’s first time seeing you and she fell in love. She made the comment that she wished we could all come home with you and be your friends. I told her that you already consider us friends and we will see you in our heavenly home worshiping the “one who is and is to come” HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!!!
Happy Birthday to you! Here’s to another year of abundant blessings.
Thanks again for all you give to us!
Christina
HOW ROMANTIC!
You are way COOL!

My best friend-my college roommate and matron of honor- was with you. I'm glad she got to go and am anxious to hear all about it. We hope to meet up in January in Houston. I'm trying not to get my hopes up as we're scheduled for a new assignment (TBD) and will be leaving here right after Christmas/beginning of January; sometimes military life is so inconvenient. Thank you for always recapping so we can pretend we there-loved the video! And Happy Birthday!
Beth!
I LOVED having you in Pittsburgh!! What a weekend for you to be here too, God's favor was surely upon our city in so many ways with the beautiful weather (yes it really is cloudy and rainy here like 90% of the time), our hockey team winning the Stanely cup, and most importantly, some awesome time of worshipping our King!!! Thanks again for coming here!!
Oh,and I totally understand your whole baggie obsession, but Beth, you can get covers for your iphone so that it doesn't get smudged!!!
Love you!
~Hannah
Happy, happy birthday, Beth!
And the proposal brought tears to my eyes. How very sweet! (I was always a Fairy Tale Princess Wannabe.) May God bless them beyond measure.
Thanks for sharing!
Aw, Ashleigh - congratulations! What fun to read that sweet story and then recognize YOU!
Best wishes -

First of all, Happy Birthday Beth!
I sat her with tears streaming down my cheeks watching Kevin's proposal. How precious that he waited for the perfect young lady. SO SWEET!
Way to go Travis!!
I loved the story about the lady with the Bible in the box. I loved the story about the bridal party coming to the event. I loved the ending of this post with you sharing about getting a new iphone. I want one so bad. My mom is almost 78 and got one a few months back. She's like you....so cool she has to sleep in sweat pants. :)
Love you and thank you for all you do for the Kingdom!

I just wanted to share how God worked this weekend in Pittsburgh in my life. 9 months ago, my 4th blessing came into my life named Leslee Ann. When Leslee was 9 days old I was admitted into the hospital in congestive heart failure. Come to find out my pregnancy had caused a condition called peripartum cardiomyopathy. I was put on bed rest for 3 1/2 months and was left with a lot of uncertainties. It was a very hard storm in my life-the thought of not being around to raise my four beautiful children haunted me continually. I was letting satan win the battle in my mine. Last week my cardiologist called and said since September my heart has improved 15%-even when life paints a dark picture in your life-God is always faithful to show you He is in control. I want to thank Beth for following God there is no doubt in my mind I was meant to be there "for such a time as this"
Beth, First off Happy Birthday Girlfriend!!! May God continue to richly bless you!
I just have to share with you that a group of women (15) from our church in Tintern, Ontario, Canada, travelled to Pittsburgh this weekend to participate in LPL.
We all walked away renewed in His Word, uplifted and more perpared to face our storms.
I'll also have you know that we did stop in Grove City, PA to shop (because after God that's our next favorite thing!). Anyway while we were shopping a small storm rolled in and when my sister and I walked out of the store we looked up and saw the most beautiful glowing with color full rainbow we'd ever seen. Then a second full rainbow began to faintly appear. Everyone was looking up admiring the rainbows and then we looked at each other and said "what a perfect ending to The PERFECT STORM".
We truly serve an AWESOME GOD!
Blessed to be a child of God!

I just watched the video and had "Holy Spirit" chill bumps. Congratulation Kevin and Ashley. I cannot even imagine what it would be like to work with your group. The passion among all of you is so evident. Our God sure can put together a group can't he???
Happy Birthday Mama Siesta!! I pray it was or is a blessed one.
Good luck with your phone.
Blessing,
Bible Bunny in NO MI
...17; you seem like you are a teenager! And you look about 25, I am not kidding, you are gorgeous Beth!
My brother always jokes with my mom (who has an amazing relationship with her grandkids - 10 and 12) that when their together, he says, "there they are, 10, 11, and 12!"
Referring to my mom as the 11 yr old. But I'd say, she's about 17 too!
The proposal floored me - I love watching moments like that. I am a single siesta and during this summer I am doing a study on the Song of Soloman with Tommy Nelson - I believe. I swear, he reminds me of one of those strong, Christ-loving Texas men - something like how James Robison would be, or your Mr. Moore. But in this study we are seeing what attraction, dating, courting, etc. looks like when God is numero uno - as I want Him to forever be. Seeing a man of God such as Kevin - do things right, just enforces the fact that it is possible to find someone like that and that it is a blessing this siesta is NOT going to stop wrestling for, I'm holding on this time for this blessing.
Spiritual Mom Beth, I totally needed this post! That video is one of the most touching ever! I loved it much:) That is sweet-very sweet. I am so glad Pittsburgh was such a blessing to you all. I prayed for you and the crew and the women there. And the things that took place there-God was there! He was!:)Travis's cell phone pic made me smile too. Is that classic Travis?? He's goofy:)Happy Birthday to you too Spiritual Mom Beth-LPM Home Princess!!! You should wear your hair extra big in celebration:) Love ya, Blessings to you, ((HUGS)):)

What special "firsts" at the LPL this weekend. Wahoo! God is good.
And a very Happy Birthday to you! My hubby has an I-Phone and he just loves it. I know that you will too!
PS. Thanks for ALL the details in this post! You know that as women, we just love that! And we love you too, Mama Siesta!
Happy Birthday Beth! I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful Pittsburgh experience! Tell Kevin and Ash Congrats!
This post just blew me away last night as Wayne & I and our son & DIL returned to their home in C. Springs after a wonderful weekend camping (no electricity or running water) at Lake Pueblo just so. of the Springs. We went to bed around 11 pm on Friday night--our son's yellow lab and 2 yo brittany spaniel all tucked in in their tent with them. (Completely zipped in!!) Around 2:45 am I heard our DIL up calling for Bailey, the 2 yo! She had unzipped the tent about 5 in. and crawled out. We searched the area until after 4 am and headed back to bed. We searched all day Saturday to no avail! Jess was completely heart broken when we went to bed that evening. Early Sunday morning a wonderful park ranger came up and said that someone had called in a red & white spaniel running loose in their area. I've never seen
human beings move as fast as this group did!! Even Cassidy(9 yo lab) was ready to roll!! We all did a lot of Praising our wonderful Jesus. He had answered many prayers that night that He would protect her until we could get out again with the sunrise! They wanted someone to stay with the camp, just in case she came back. Cassidy(lab)& I sat and prayed! But I can't tell you how many times you and your Sunny story came to mind--actually I don't think it left my mind this weekend! Wayne's either, he mentioned it several times. Thank you for the confidence you've instilled in me through your studies, your blogs, and your love for our Savior! I give God all the credit but you get the hugs! (although they're cyber hugs, they're real!) Yes, we saw God in our entire weekend and the outcome of His blessings!
Before we packed up, Brad wanted to take Cass down to the lake so she could work on her water retrieval. Wayne & I hadn't seen her water skills, so this was really fun for us. (like watching the grandkids play t-ball or ballet!) She did awesome, but Bailey couldn't stand it--she dove right in after Cass on every retrieve. She couldn't get the hang of grabbing the stick tho! If she got tired, she would climb on Cassidy's back and ride in with her!! It was a hoot watching them!!
Bailey is one very tired, 'happy to be home' puppy and we're extremely grateful!!
Sorry this got so long, I just needed to share! I know you understand our pain and now joy!!
Oh, you are so much fun. I wish I could travel with you. That would be just a kick!
Beth,
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for coming close enough to be able to see you! You blessed my socks, off lady!!
I have to tell you that I had been in a storm for about a year and am finally coming out of it (God willing). You see I was pregnant last year and just SO excited for my third child. We found out at about 12 weeks that she had a problem that the Dr's thought was indicative of Downs Syndrome. We had testing done, but miscarried at 15 weeks... this was MOST devastating! I plummeted into... I don't know where, but it was not good. The results of the testing we had done came back that she was 'genetically normal,' I was as confused as ever. Around the time of her original due date I found out that I was pregnant again, and again was ecstatic... only to miscarry again two weeks later. It was like Paul being bit by the serpent on Malta... I was devastated again yes, but I was NOT going to let the venom get in again! By God's grace and mercy I became pregnant again! (before I was really ready to think about 'trying' again) and am happy to say that I am 14 weeks and things look good (so far). When you were talking about that group of women who had lost a baby, it really struck a cord (and chalk it up to over-sized hormones... I was a bawling mess).
I definitely needed to hear what God had you say this weekend! The proposal was just icing on the cake! WOW And I must say that the music we tried to play on the way home (a two hour drive) just wasn't the same... your (Travis') worship team is the best!
Beth, I love you to bit and pieces, and I love how God uses you to speak to women! Thank you again for coming to PA!!!!
Christina,
Altoona PA
PS. a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you wonderful woman! You don't look a day over 25 :) Blessings to you!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Mama Beth! I hope you have a day filled with Love, Joy, & laughter. Thank you for sharing Jesus and your love of His Word with us.
Oh this is sooo awesome!! I am so happy for the two of them. What a nice surprise. May God bless them with a wonderful Godly marriage.
P.S. I love your sense of humor, you guys are the coolest. I can just picture you trying to answer your phone seriously with that image of Travis on it. Lol, too funny.
OMGOOODNESS! My dear sweet friends and I were at that incredible conference in Pittsburgh and it was so amazing! The first story i told my 15 and 18 year old daughters was about that incredibly romantic proposal! We were all aghast in the stands that morning. What a blessing and a privilege to be part of their beginning. I also went on a long walk with my honey and told him how i was going to be "glittered" and not old ;) Thank you so much, Beth, for your amazing sense of humor mixed with an even more amazing sobriety about how truly glorious our God is! Bless you, bless you, bless you.
I love hearing those 'God' stories - the ones where only God could work out those details.
Peace,

The spiritual high from Pittsburgh is still strong. The word was fresh and it rock our group..We needed to hear exactly what you taught. From ages 8 months to 83 years old..the 8 month old has battled more storms than most of us in a life time.
We walked away shaking our heads once again of the cobwebs..to a fresh outlook on life and given the word to battle and stay in faith to move forward in times of storms. You drove the Word, Beth...like a hammer hitting hard with each swing.
The weekend was powerful!
Special thanks for each one of you at Living Proof.
Praying in West Virginia..
WOW. I don't know what else to say, but seeing how I'm a female, you just know I can say more! Although I love God's Word & your studies, I wasn't the most willing participant to come this weekend. I've been knocked down by the huge waves of the perfect storm of infertility, my son's illness & a husband's confession of hidden sexual addiction of which infidelity occurred (after 14 years of marriage and NO CLUE!). I know you were speaking straight from God to my heart. Which is funny because I'm on Session 1, Day 3 of Jesus the One & Only where you ask that exact question! Bless you for being led by the Spirit & bless my friend for encouraging me to go! And thank you, mostly, for the rememberance of believing in the thing that God told me he would do. Sadly, my belief has waned over the years since I first believed he would do what he said he would. I have renewed that belief & will start praying for it again!
Blessed Birthday greetings to you!
Dawn
My first LPL event ever and it was amazing! God spoke right through Beth and directly into my heart! You would not believe what A Perfect Storm that my family and friends have been going through for the last year! Thank you Beth for living for our Savior!

Dearest Beth
here it is Wednesday and it is still hard for me to think of our time in Pittsburgh without welling up in tears. It was the most joyous time I think I have ever spent. Everything was so wonderful I think we all got a glimpse of what heaven will be like. (including the bride & the bridegroom)The worship was incredible and your teaching was truly inspired. I will never read the account of Paul and the shipwreck in the same way again. We have been in the perfect storm for 2 years now and are coming out of it. Everything you said was true, we have seen God do amazing things daily and it has only brought us closer to him as we weathered it. Now I can thank God for the storm but when it started I thought we would never survive.
Thank you again for the most wonderful time, for your dedication to the Word, and your love for us. You go glitter girl!!

P.S. I shed so many wonderful tears there I think I dehydrated myself! And again Happy Birthday!
Ok crying at work... finally stopped long enough to watch that sweet and tender proposal... I want one...:-) Someday I will be blessed so by a Godly man and I hope he is this romantic.
I love what you do for us all bringing us Gods word and his love. You are one awesome messenger.
Love you like crazy

I was SO excited when I knew you were coming to Pittsburgh!! I have had tickets since September. I cannot tell you how much you have impacted my life and now I have my husband watching you, too, and he has been greatly blessed by you (and God has even taken away any jealousy I should feel since we are the same age and you are so beautiful!!!).
No other ministry has left me with the joy and comfort that yours has. I feel like you are a close friend and I could just sit and listen to you all day. When I feel fear I always picture you in my mind and see and hear you saying things so boldly from the word of God - as if you are looking directly at me - and my anxiety subsides.
You have made me see things in scripture that used to be a story I would pass right over. You have such a wonderful gift of bringing scripture to life!!!!! I keep reading that chapter of Acts over and over!!! I can't wait until the study you did last weekend is available.
Last Saturday afternoon after I got back from your conference in Pittsburgh I took my 6 year old granddaughter to the store with me. We were riding along and we saw a huge wooden fish on the side of a house that had the letters "WWJD" on it. She asked me what it meant and I told her that it means "What Would Jesus Do?"
Not a minute later we came across two groundhogs nibbling on something on the side of the road. I swerved a bit around them so as not to hit them. She immediately said, "Grandma, that's something that God would do. He wouldn't run over those groundhogs either." New meaning for a godly woman - won't run over a groundhog!! That moment has been going thru my head all week - and God has let me know that every little thing I do is noticed by the eyes of someone. God even cares for groundhogs - think how much He wants me to care for others.
AND - belated happy birthday!!!

PS:...PLEASE COME TO COLUMBUS!
Living Proof staff thank you so much for helping my sister, who recently had back surgery andis disabled, be able to attend!
She was able to lay across several chairs, with pillows for support.
What you don't about her is that she was the one who started many ladies doing Beth's studies in churches from York to Harrisburg PA. She has been a huge servant in the church, serving as a youth coordintor for the NE dist. of the US for our church, church secretary for many years and womans bible study leader, teaching sometimes three different groups a week. So you see we were extremely greatful for the effort made for her to be able to attend.
We were also greatly blessed by our experience. Thank you for all the hard work and sacrifice that made this moving event successful!

Hi Beth,
I attended the Pittsburgh conference. You have no idea what a blessing it was. The day that I left for Pittsburgh, my husband moved out. It was quite sudden and unexpected. I am convinced that that conference was for ME! From the time Travis came out and said he knew there were people attending that had just experienced an out of the blue, life changing event. Wow! God is the only way he would have known. The whole conference fit! Even what you said about your husband not regularly attending churh...it has been a big battle in my home. If ever I have seen a divine appointment, this was it. My husband is still gone, I am convinced it is simply the enemy, he has his claws in deep. But I am praying for restoration and healing, and God's will to be crystal clear.
Thank you so much for your ministry. You have touched my heart so deeply. Your Bible teaching is so unique, and effective. God has truly blessed you with a gift, thank you for choosing to use it to better all of us. Thank you for showing me God in all His awesomeness!
