Mama, on your birthday I want you to know how you've impacted my life for Christ. In my youngest days you taught me that God made the ladybugs and the lonely little clouds and that Jesus loved me, this I know. In my early childhood you taught me that Jesus died for me and took my sin away so that I can live with Him in heaven one day. As I grew you made sure I knew how to worship Him and we sure did a lot of that together. You listened carefully to all my questions and answered in such a way that I was left marveling at how wonderful He is. As a teenager you showed me that He is worthy of living for, even if I wasn't necessarily doing that myself. As a college student you taught me that Jesus forgives and redeems, and that the Holy Spirit fills us and equips us to live the life I'd always learned about. As a young woman you helped me know and love God's Word and love the people we serve in His name. As a wife you've taught me to put my husband before my kids so that when they're grown, there will still be a spark. As a mom, you've taught me how to love my babies so that as they grow, they will have a framework to comprehend that their Father in heaven loves them more than they can imagine. You are a fabulous mother, a gifted teacher, and a servant leader. I thank God for you on your birthday! I love you!
Mom, It is so typical that Amanda would beat me to the punch in displaying her love for you. Do you remember that year that you gave us each our baby clothes as a Christmas gift and they were all ironed and folded neatly in a plastic bin? Remember how she wept and wept and left me standing there looking like I was an ungrateful and unsentimental child? This blog is totally reminding me of that Christmas. She is always striving to win 'the favorite daughter' award. She should be reprimanded for that, right? ;) Kidding, Noogs (Amanda's nickname). So, in light of her beautiful paragraph, I guess all I can say is "Yeah Mom...what she said!" We can't wait for you to open the gift we got you. Thank you for being available to God. He has used you powerfully in so many lives, including mine. I was in deep depression when I started my first Bible study, Breaking Free. Talk about a baptism by fire!
During that study my Father died and that group of women I hardly knew supported me so sweetly that I made many forever friends. Breaking Free was a huge part of that as we shared from deep places and empty places.

I too thank God for you. Thanks for all you do, for being real, for opening your heart to us and opening our eyes to so many amazing things in God's Word.
I could tell so many stories of how God has helped me and taught me through your teachings and testimonies. The most prominent was when I worked through Breaking Free a few years ago and so much was stirred up inside that I didn't understand. Then I sat down with my bff and the reality of my childhood victimization came out after being buried from my own consciousness for decades.
And most recently, God has been teaching me about holiness through a number of sources, and I still had questions about it. Then while working around the house I started listening to your series on "Proving us Genuine" which has provided great insight.
I could go on...
I so hope to meet you one day.

Happy Birthday to my favorite teacher and mentor! God has used you in so many ways to us siestas. Words cannot express all that I've learned from the various studies I've done and the conferences I've attended. You are the real deal and it shows. You are the reason I've fallen in love with Jesus. A few years ago, I began praying for God to give me a passion like yours and praise Him, He has. It has come through some tough trials, but I wouldn't trade anything for the victories I've experienced.
The tribute from Amanda and Melissa is bittersweet for me. My teenage daugher and I aren't in a good place right now. She is rebellious and I'm praying hard for her to surrender to Jesus and stop fighting her father and I.

I hope your day is wonderful and exciting and peaceful--all at the same time! I love 'seeing' your family and coming to love all of you dearly. I have begun studying Esther with 9 other neighbors and friends (some of whom I never dreamed would accept the invitation)--all women, then felt led to offer the invitation to the high school ladies we love dearly (my husband is currently the student minister here). To my surprise about 10 of them (that's just about all of them) accepted the invitation to study as well. I am excited beyond belief and so thrilled to see what God does in each of us over these next months. We are using my blog to communicate a little too--feel free to check us out some time!

Bible teachings and audio from Life Today. I have gotten through many a rough day with those teachings.The Lord allows you to speak to my heart.
I remember the first time we met I was a blubbering fool and I walked up to you and said " Beth Moore you always make me cry!" You looked at me with so much compassion and you bent down and took my hand and kissed it. Then Betsy came over to comfort and pray with me. I'll never forget that kindness and compassion you showed me. The Lord, has restored to me the gift of tears through you . You see I never shed a single tear from the time I was about 19 until I turned and decided to walk with God again at 50. I had so much hurt and pain that I would get angry instead to hide it. Than I began a Beth Moore bible study and I would cry. Then I started watching you on Life Today and I would get a word and cry cry cry. Believe me when I tell you I did not like all this crying but eventually I learned it was the Lords way of cleansing me. He chose you as his vessel to do that for me. He is wonderful, and Beth so are you. I so love, admire and respect you. Thank you thank you thank you Jesus for all you have allowed Beth to do for me and Beth thank you for being a good steward
